Just been to Castle Hotel for family Sunday lunch. Last minute booking for16 friendly greeting from staff on arrival and although they had another large group I couldn’t fault the service. The food was excellent and enjoyed by everyone would certainly recommend. Thank you to all at the Castle we will certainly be back. 👍👍

Great stay at the Castle while cycling the Kennet and Avon canal. Lovely rooms, great bar, fantastic breakfast, friendly staff and secure bike storage. Couldn't ask for more!

Wonderful Christmas meal for 17 of us. Friendly service and delicious food thank you everyone.

Had an amazing 3 nights stay on the 10th December, the staff were very attentive nothing to much trouble. We were there to celebrate my granddaughter's 18th with a birthday meal and the food was excellent, there were 15 of us in the party and the service was second to none, would definitely recommend staying there.

Had an amazing night, Shannon was amazing in her service and personality. Hot Rock highly recommended…steak, swordfish and salmon to share!

Would strongly recommend the food, brilliant as always. We will be back again for sure.

Five stars. We had the Sunday lunch delivered. Food was great, well organised with each aspect of the meal in its own labelled container. Good value, delivered on time. Will have their meals again and would definitely recommend them.

Lovely place to stay and good food and warm room Helen at the reception is a lady and the new owner an absolute gentleman dropped me back to my truck the next morning as I had it parked a few miles away definitely recommended thanks again enjoyed my stay there.

Great food and new new landlords were so welcoming.

We had Christmas dinner and it cost £60 each not many starters to choose from for children. And the main meal was not cooked very nice it was hard and over cooked. And my vegetarian meal didn’t taste very nice. And it didn’t come with gravy. And they didn’t serve Yorkshire pudding.

Great staff. Dated but clean.

Food was good and plenty of it. Whole place needs some work done on it. No ventilation in bathroom so it was very steamy when shower was on. Towel rail fell off the wall when I hung our towels up, you could see it had been off the wall before. No telephone and not sure there was anyone on duty during the night. Glad no one needed medical help. But it was in a good location for what we wanted over the weekend.

Been here loads of times if working in devizes realy nice hotel and bar.

Bedroom had dirty stain chairs carpet bedding, £115 per night not worth £50, every where needed updating, noisy, couldn’t turn radiator down so room was an oven,
Staff or lack of staff weren’t helpful or polite, breakfast poor, never felt comfortable whole time we were there.

I had never heard of Devizes before
But I think I’m staying in the best place.
staff are friendly and even thou you have to leave before breakfast they will accommodate for you. Even had the best bacon roll I have ever had and I have been a chef for 28 years … Love it here.

Great hotel. I’ve stayed here regularly for 3 years now working locally. Cameron the manager is very helpful and will do whatever he can to help. All staff are helpful and polite. Food is great. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I will stay again.

Clean, a hotel of its age 1768!. Food was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The beer by that I mean real ale was good and well looked after and served well. A good place to stay.

They were very welcoming when we arrived, the rooms were wonderful and warm and the food excellent couldn't fault anything, staff very polite, will will be going back again with family members next time.

The castle hotel is a very nice place to eat. Just had an exellent carvery and a well kept pint of 6x. Will definetly go again highly recommend a visit the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nipped in for a quick drink before going for a meal somewhere else. Staff were friendly, nice pint of 6X.

Nothing special but rooms are clean breakfast is awful.

Stayed for 1 night on 20/01/2014. Had a lovely stay and the service was excellent. As a young woman travelling solo to a new area for work purposes, I greatly appreciated the help and attentiveness of the staff. Would definitely recommend.
