Had a fantastic room in the main hall. Great meal served by friendly and attentive staff. Superb value and a great shame that it's closing for 2 years in September. Good luck to all the staff.

The hall and bars, lounge, restaurant and grounds are lovely, but the modern outbuildings with our tiny bedroom are a great disappointment. Our bed was so narrow I had to pay for another room for my daughter so that we both could get a night’s sleep. There is one chair in the small room but it is offered to two guests☹️more suitable as single rooms and I think that is how they are probably used as for business guests. For my special birthday it was a disappointment.

My friends and I took our children for the afternoon tea. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and tolerant of our bouncy children!
The sandwiches were very fresh and the selection of cakes and scones was impressive. Delicious tasting cakes, a nice balance of chocolate and other flavours.

Just stayed overnight for a wedding reception and was very impressed with the wonderful venue and its superb grounds. Food was exceptional and staff very efficient, attentive and friendly. We all had a wonderful time. Rooms in the annexe were a tad small but had everything we needed and could not fault breakfast either. Would certainly stay here again. Well done!

Very poor afternoon tea, I’m sorry to say. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the room was quite clinical. When I called to make a reservation I was informed that afternoon tea was fully booked but to call back after 10 am the next day which I did and reserved a table without any question. There were merely a handful of guests in the dining room on our visit! We had to ask for more tea so were given a small teapot of hot water but the milk had run out so we tried to find the waiter to ask for more but it failed to turn up and by this time the hot water had cooled down. We were eventually given a fresh pot of tea (with tea bags) and milk after looking for the waiter again to ask him! Sorry but we won’t be returning sadly.

Fantastic drive up to this beautiful Hall and parking was well signposted and simple. We had Afternoon Tea here which was just delightful. Staff were very helpful and were very forthcoming with information about the Hall as it was our first visit here. Nothing was too much trouble and the tea itself was delicious especially the scones (some of the best I have ever tasted). Highly recommend a visit.

I enjoyed afternoon tea with my friends at Eynsham hall, beautiful setting, lovely drive into the hotel. The food was very nice, set menu of finger sandwiches, variety of pastries and yummy scones of course! Would definitely recommend. Only down side was the initial greeting we had from one member of the hotel staff (as we were late in arriving). He was very rude and nearly ruined our afternoon… and I think he soon realised how rude he was, and decided to be overly nice which came across very fake! Watch out for the moody waiter! Other staff members were very nice though.

Really enjoyable experience. Extensive drive leading up to the main entrance sets your initial impression and arrival ensures that impression is met. Excellent rooms, definitely recommend staying in the main hall. Great food at both dinner and breakfast. Lots of historic features and enormous grounds. Very pet friendly.

I really liked this place. Perfect romantic getaway for two. Be sure to double check you are getting a room inside the actual hall though as their number one complaint is people not realising they are staying in a separate building outside the hall. Loved the gardens, grounds, scenery and food. Will definitely be back!

Excellent venue! My wife and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary. The food was amazing & the room (Main Hall) was great. Staff were helpful / friendly as per our previous visits. Thanks :)

This was a nice break in a grand building, with very attentive and friendly staff throughout. Word of warning, if you get a room in the outside buildings, the soundproofing isn't great. We could hear the entry door banging until late and kids (or possibly 6 rhinos) running around upstairs. Breakfast was superb, afternoon tea delicious. Special shout out to Bruno the waiter for his kindness and top level grasp of English banter.

This is described as a wedding venue but it's also a hotel. We just stayed one night to attend a local concert but would have liked to stay longer and also bring our dog. It's a fine historical building set in beautiful grounds with decor that successfully blends traditional and modern. We were in one of the lodge rooms, not in the main house. It was clean and well decorated if slightly on the small side. Breakfast wasn't included but was available at an additional charge. We had some lovely espresso martinis in the gun room bar after the concert. A king size bed and some real coffee in the room would have made it 5 stars.

Just had 2 night stay, booked room in main hall, very clean, large bed, shower not powerful and bath water not very warm in room 41. Also think the amount of stairs you have to climb should be made clearer. Stayed with another couple, first day arrived early so ordered sandwiches and drinks to eat outside, two sandwiches and one fries, one pint and one tonic was over £26 so would hope order would be right however, one order went ‘missing’ another was wrong, so the four of us didn’t eat at same time. Breakfast first morning was good, this morning really poor, we were in for breakfast around 8am, no bacon, eggs, glasses, orange juice or granary bread or butter for toast, when asked if more coming out the waitresses response was very abrupt. Only one waitress out of several bringing food from kitchen one plate at a time. Thought we were booking a ‘special luxury’ break with price paid, but feel let down. Also we were charged 3 different amounts for same drinks, one pint Peroni, one slim line tonic cost either £9.80, £9.90 or £9.60! Expensive anyway but at least be consistent with prices. Wasn’t until we checked receipts we realised. I expected to pay more but at least would hope charged correctly and food orders not be lost and would show up together and be what we wanted.

Much better than I expected after reading reviews. We stayed in one of the refurbished "cosy" rooms. It was clean, relatively quiet and a reasonable size. ALL the staff were excellent. Food was good and ample portions. Lovely location with beautiful grounds.

I have visited on a couple of ocassions, for private event and for afternoon tea/drinks. The afternoon tea with champagne in the Brasserie is the best in Oxfordshire by far. I think we paid about £25pp a couple years ago. The Gun Room with its yellow sofas is lovely for drinks. The garden outside has lovely pastel coloured metal chairs and tables to sit in the sun. At the back, rattan furniture to sit and enjoy the wonderful views. It is ideal for a date or with a small group of friends, or to organize a private event in its wonderful rooms for hire (celebrations/business meetings) Parking is free.

Lovely relaxing hotel and grounds. Nice and peaceful. I wouldn't really call it spa, just a swimming pool and sauna. Drinks were quite pricey but staff were lovely and friendly.

Lovely settings great service nice gym and pool. Could do with a steam room and jacuzzi. Rooms in the court and lodge not big enough for two but nice all the same. Main house rooms are exquisite.

It is a great castle transformed into a hotel with a marked English style.

An old country manor house converted to a hotel. Good parking facilities comfortable rooms, reasonably priced. Easy striking distance to Oxford and Whitney. Food very good. Recommend Cafe Rouge in Whitney.

Really nice room, bit on the small side, but it was very reasonable and booked very last minute. The whole hotel is lovely and the staff were very friendly. Great hotel.

Visited this tiny gym as a guest and would not recommend it. The equipment was ancient (apparently it is over 7 years old, which in gym years is practically antique) and did not appear to have been serviced recently — stiff levers, weights floating above where they were supposed to be, dirty handles, cracked covers etc. The mats were all stained, there was dust and dirt under the machines and there is no air conditioning. The showers were hairy and had no signs, so you couldn't even tell if they were occupied or not without knocking on the doors, and the changing rooms were boiling hot. The friendly staff and large towels were the only saving graces.

Absolutely beautiful location, the main building housing a very nice place to have your evening meal with friendly staff and great dinner. If you book a breakfast this is also where your buffet breakfast is served and very tasty it was too. Our stay wasn't related to an event but I did grab a peek at the reception hall and again thought it looked fantastic. They have a bar in the old halls gun room that won a hotel design award a few years ago. Well stocked with various liquor. Our room was off the main building in the lodge, the room wasn't large but was fit for purpose, clean and well furnished. Unlike other places I've stayed there wasn't much disturbance from other visiting guests, maybe we were lucky or maybe it's associated with the venue. There are meeting facilities, a swimming pool and a gym. Although I took my trunks I didn't venture out to the pool, it was in a different building and was pretty chilly outside so decided to stay cosy in the room. I wouldn't hesitate in booking to stay here again if I'm in the area overnight.

This is a fabulous place, a restored castle in a chic hotel. With several accessibility such as fitness, swimming pool and a nice bar. Wuw\r.

Really enjoyed my short stay at Eynsham Hall — scenic grounds, clean rooms, friendly staff. The only downside is that the leisure facilities are quite small, which isn't all that great if the hotel is busy at the time. Overall though, highly recommended.

I covered a wedding at Eynsham Hall in December 2016. It was a great day and we were lucky enough to have a dry day which enabled us to do some shots in the beautiful gardens. It was chilly but worth it! The inside of the building has lots of character and lovely wooden beams. Vanessa White.

Eynsham Hall is an extremely impressive manor situated at the end of a long well-kept driveway. The house, side cottages, and gardens are all maintained very well with character and history throughout. The reception invites guests to come through the main doors of manor into a welcoming and warm lounge area with log burner and resident cat. The communal areas are spacious and decorated with in an historically accurate yet modern style. The lower priced rooms are excellent value but are not in the main house. We stayed in the lodge which is a block of maybe a dozen rooms built to the left of the manor. The lodge is more modern and the rooms are small but they have everything you need and are still decorated well. The water pressure is mentioned by many reviews and it was noticeably weak but wasn't really a problem. The pool is part of a gym located within the grounds. There was a class going on when we tried to swim at 9am but they moved on and it wasn't busy after that. The breakfast, which was free with our room, was exceptionally good. It is served in the Red Room in the manor and everything was cooked excellently. The staff at breakfast and throughout the hotel were welcoming and all seemed to enjoy working there, including looking after the cat, who is not allowed in the Red Room. The Gun Room Bar is stylish and has a good menu for drinks but is fairly limited for food. The cheese plate and the chips are not big enough to share between two. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great venue for a short stay, wedding or party. I attended a Christmas dinner here and had a great time. Rooms were spacious and clean. The bar was a bit pricey but well stocked.

Very quaint hotel immersed in the English countryside. In the DEPANDAMCE furnishings requiring, cleaning not at the top.

Had a lovely Christmas party here, but would say that the disco room is very small for the amount of people booked. The room was comfortable as was the bed. But shame about the smell of drains from the bathroom, the mould in the shower and cobwebs in the bathroom.

Scenic rural venue with pretty front garden/ fountain. Spa facilities can be found in one of the more modern buildings adjacent to the main house. Located off the A34 not far from Blenheim Palace.

Went there for a Christmas party. Really nice food, service was on point and very friendly. The rooms are not huge with a standard size but they are warm, well furnished and clean. Beds are comfortable too. The dining rooms are impressive and the ground are fantastic, the outside of the hotel looks very grand. Limited parking, however their were multiple functions on during my visit.

Eynsham Hall is in a beautiful spot, the drive through the gates and first impression was good. Our stay was a gift from a relation for my husband's 40th birthday, I was a bit disappointed staff didn't mention this as this information was provided at booking. The receptionist was functional but not overly friendly. We stayed in the Lodge, a short walk from the main building. The room was small but clean and comfy. Breakfast was the highlight. Here staff were exceptionally friendly, it was a pleasure sitting in the elegant hall. We enjoyed exploring the main building, I liked the cabinets full of curiosities and photos depicting the history of the house.

We booked one of the main hall bedrooms which on the price scale matches the likes of Crown plaza, Hiltons, Jury Inns, Hallmarks etc. On the positive side the hotel looks grand from outside and beds are super comfy with good quality memory foam mattresses. Room facilities and food quality were pretty average. Food choices, hotel interiors, ambience and gardens can be improved. Room sizes are quite small and may put off your mood if you're looking for a room any bigger than that of travelodge. The rooms do not match the description / images shown on the website and not all rooms offer garden view. Some of the staff members were really good, but some of them were plain rude — they refused to send water bottle in the room on the basis that they don't offer room service.

We are so so disappointed. In spite of the grandeur visible when arriving our room was in a 1980'block around the side. Nothing like the Georgian house advertised and no larger that 3 metres by 3 metres. No ventilation so it was stuffy even with the window open an the acoustics… well every noise echoed and barely any sleep. We have stayed in numerous places over the past 40 years and this accommodation ranks as the worst by a long way. Dreadful. Don't go there!

Out of hall (as they refer to them) rooms are, let's say — compact, but comfortable and clean. Food in the bar seems expensive for what it is, but the food in the Brasserie is excellent. The grounds are lovely.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The swimming pool and sauna were great. The rooms are easy to small though. We booked a room for 2 of us and our child and the room was can't big enough for 2 let alone 3. Then they charge an extra £10 per night for a rubbish camp bed. Was a bit disappointed by that.

Eynsham Hall is a beautiful building and grounds. The staff are friendly and the place is very well maintained. The restaurant serves great quality dishes. It has a gym and swimming pool as well. Worth a visit.

We chose Eynsham Hall for it's perfect location between two places we intended visiting. On arriving through the main gates and driving up to the hotel we were in awe of the building and it’s grounds. After checking in at reception we made our way to the lodge accommodation. We knew this was not going to be as good as the main building accommodation as the price reflects this but thought we’d try it out. Entering the room (top floor dormer) it was quite small. It was however ‘adequate’ which is the best word I can use to describe it. My main criticism was bad lighting in the bathroom and a dirty teaspoon on the tray. We used the swimming pool which was lovely and we ate at the hotel’s Brasserie. The food was lovely, expensive, but lovely, and it was priced as we’d expected it would be in such a grand hotel. We also went to the Gun Room for cocktails, again extremely enjoyable but pricey (as expected). The weekend was booked as a treat and as such we didn’t dwell on the costs. I can imagine the upkeep of such a building is quite hefty so the prices were something we almost expected. Breakfast was also very good (served in the wonderful large library). We had read previous reviews saying the coffee was good and IT WAS! After breakfast we had a walk around the stunning hotel grounds, what a breath of fresh air! Beautiful. We decided we would like to return to Eynsham Hall, but next time we would like to book into the main building.

We weren't put in an ideal room in the 'cottage'. Next to the entrance and ashtray (non smokers). And while I was in the room someone did knock on the window looking for her friends. But the room was clean and quite adequate. The grounds were lovely and the hall was nice but I never tried any of the facilities. The pool had a chemical imbalance but the spa was open. There was a wedding on while I was there but I never noticed. Would recommend the hall for a relaxing weekend, and a good base for trips.

I went there last night for my school prom. As lovely as the place looked, the food — we each payed £50 for, was awful. The starter was crispy inedible bread with cheap feta, for vegans — rather than just serving the same without the cheese, they served raw greens, which came a lot later than everyone else's giving them less time to eat. The main was somewhat enjoyable however, was clearly cheap. The vegetarian risotto tasted like raw egg, or unsweetened rice pudding and was clearly undercooked with no flavour. The desert also tasted cheap with bad chocolate and compact sponge. The staff were useless. One server handed my friend a hot plate straight into her hands, with no warning or indication the plate was heated. Another was unaware of what he was serving when asked, the constantly put the wrong food in the wrong places, and when we asked for more water took ages, clearly trying to make us buy their over priced sodas. I understand a 3 course meal for £50 can be a stretch, but when 180 kids all pay that, and you serve small portions you would think they could make it nicer. It was a real shame.

We were amazed by the beautiful building and views as well as the very polite and well trained staff. The food was also exceptional in the Gun Room bar and in the Brasserie. We stayed in one of the small buildings next to the main hall, called Eynsham Court. The room was recently refurbished with modern furniture and design, but it was very small. The bed was also ridiculously small even for me and I am not a very tall person (1.80m). The room was very clean but I cannot say the same about the corridors in Eynsham Court, which could have used a thorough hoovering. Overall, we would definitely recommend the place, as the Hall and surroundings are just astonishing and nothing beats having a glass of whiskey in the huge lounge by the fire place.

We stayed for a couple of nights over Easter. The Hotel is beautiful and the grounds are stunning. Inside there's lots of quirky art and furnishings and our room was lovely with a large and very well fitted bathroom. All of the staff were lovely. It'd be five stars except that (1) housekeeping didn't replace the shampoo, despite the empty bottle being upside down on the edge of the bath (and still there when we got back), and took both flannels away without replacing them, and (2) the meal in the Brasserie was very expensive with disappointing food — the snails weren't great at all and the steak (around £26 or so for a sirloin) was around 25% gristle. They had a big wedding on so perhaps most of the kitchen's focus was on that.

We visited the hotel for a Christmas themed Sunday afternoon dinner. Service was great, food fantastic and the entertainment excellent. Well done Eynsham Hall!

Stunning hotel — here the glorious time of the Victorian age comes to you in form of furniture, decor, elegance. Amazing park where to go around and lovely food choice in the restaurant. Also available cheap accommodation if you are following seminars & conference there.

Great hotel, it feels like being in an episode of Downton Abbey. Essential services in the lodge for a price all things considered accessible. Beautiful stroll in the evening on the estate.

Great location. The mansion the hotel is housed in looks amazing. There's a lot of green spaces around. The gym is just about OK with fewer equipment than I expected. The rooms in the Eynsham Lodge are cramped. While the room and the bedding etc is quite clean, the carpets are quite dirty.

We visited for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. We had a double room which was spacious and newly redecorated. Most found the beds comfy however we found it a little soft for our liking. Parking was great and water from the shower hot. Loved the pillows. Wedding set up was gorgeous and amazing rooms for pictures. Looked very grand.

Eynsham hall is a lovely venue. The house itself is a mixture of old and new, with classic fixtures and fittings, yet some rooms have much more modern decor. The artwork is also a mix of old world paintings and modern art (with a mix of taxidermy thrown in for good measure). The country setting is just perfect and overall I'd definitely love to come back again and make more use of the facilities.

Nice compound. Ok rooms in the main historical building if you like classic style decor. Guest rooms in the expanded cottages are small and mediocre at best.

Have only attended during the day for meetings. Lovely location but it's hard to find the conference areas as it isn't signposted well. Staff are always lovely here.

A wonderful, historic country estate experience in the Cotswolds. Rooms are cozy but updated while staying true to the period.

I attended Eynsham hall for a meeting. Reception didn't have my booking and proceeded to bring me coffee that I hadn't ordered. The place is lovely but they're not always sure what they're doing!

We recently had our wedding at Eynsham Hall. The venue itself is breath taking. The accommodation is beautiful, and what can I say about the service? Simply Fabulous. I think I may have been the most relaxed bride ever on the day, and that is entirely due to the team at Eynsham Hall. They really did take care of everything, with real attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was incredible too, and served with such panache. A special thank you must go to Hannah O'Sullivan, who took care of us on the weeks running up to the big day, and was there to guide us through everything on the day itself. I would Whole Heartedly recommend Eynsham Hall as a wedding venue. Thank you to the entire team. Lucy Anderson.

Beautiful location. Eynsham Hall is a beautiful building. Our room was in a set of buildings just off the side of it which was mildly disappointing. There isn't a huge amount going on there but in terms of getting away and looking out of your window and seeing something beautiful it was everything I could have wanted. Rooms were a bit small and the shower didn't have great water pressure but it didn't take away from the experience.

Located at the entrance to the Cotswolds, this beautiful Manor house hotel set in acres of country side is idyllic and frankly stunning. The staff are always helpful and willing to assist in anyway they can.

The food was lovely, some staff members were rude. Shane about no food or drink being able to purchase after a certain time, venue beautiful.

It was a nice place but they were still renovating rooms so we had to walk through a building site to get to our room. Some members of staff were rude and let down the whole experience.

Good welcoming and service. Not the most beautiful place but clearly a very decent one. Extremely quiet during the week days.

"Living like a Lord in a 300 year old Country House".

Even though there were many spare rooms we were given the worst room in the complex. It was tiny and smelt really stale. Beware! Our room was in Eynsham Court which look like it was built by the rejected Travelodge builders. In fact I have stayed in Travelodges which felt more luxurious. We were also disappointed to find out that the pool shut on 7:30pm on a bank holiday Friday. In summary, you are better off with a Travelodge, at least the rooms you see on the web are the ones you get.

Stayed there in the lodge with my wife and dogs in the adjacent room. Staff are really really nice, not only does it look stunning but its also run stunningly, breakfast was amazing and managed with military precision (I'm an Army Officer). Food was excellent and we WILL be going back.

After reading some of the reviews on here (after I had booked) I panicked slightly as my girlfriend was coming all the way from the states for the weekend, and I wanted it to be special. Based on these reviews, I phoned the hotel and made sure we had a room in the main building. The staff were happy to oblige (I paid a little extra premium). On arrival, the grandiose nature of the property really stood out. It's based in some glorious surroundings and the building itself is simply stunning. The staff were helpful, chatty, pleasant and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The room was more than adequate — not stunning, but had everything we needed in it (even if the TV was tiny). Luckily, we didn't do much TV watching ;) The food was really good, breakfast was nice — overall we had a lovely time and I'd recommend it to anyone (but get a room in the main building! ).
