Very good! Took a chance and glad we did. The food was great and the pub was quiet so we sat outside and had the warm breads sharer with oils which was delicious. My partner had the vegan sausages which she loved and the burger was very nice. All in all loved it!

Excellent, reasonably priced food. Good service. Dog friendly. Just of the A413; very convenient, if you are on the way to somewhere.

Good solid pub. Staff are friendly. Beer is pretty well kept. Food is good.

The outstanding aspect of this establishment are the staff. From reception to the restaurant, the staff are friendly, helpful and very obliging. The rooms are typical of this type of accommodation in that they're adapted rather than purpose built. However, our room was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we required. The restaurant area has character and the evening meal we ordered was very enjoyable. The breakfast menu was also comprehensive and would satisfy the majority of tastes. Overall an extremely enjoyable weekend break.

Very enjoyable, food good, staff pleasant, just needs a good clean up in the seating area outside, cigarettes etc and table's need a wipe down after people leave if it was cleaner I would give a hire rating.

Family reunion Friday/Saturday. Staff were wonderful despite our causing chaos dragging chairs and sofas around both days. Fabulous food and atmosphere. Only criticism is Room 12 has no obvious shaver point. Under the desk for a. Power point is not ideal. And having to explain a flat white is not an Americano with a jug of milk. Learnt to ask for a cappuccino instead.

Nice little hotel in the village. Bar gets very busy at night and the rooms are not very soundproofed. Nice and clean though with all amenities. Lovely full English breakfast in the morning!

Went there for a meal and as good as always. One of my favourite secret restaurants. Not too expensive e and staff are Lovely. Well worth going.

A pleasant and spacious pub with indoor and outdoor seating, including some tables by the small river at the back. The restaurant is surprisingly good, so much so that we have even opted to have family Christmas lunch here a couple of times.

I've visited here 4-5 times and stayed here twice. I love this quaint little inn. They have a great pub, full of locals and serving London Pride and/or Doombar and/or Otters or some other fantastic English cask beer. The rooms are old/small in a cool way and the (included) cooked-to-order breakfast is top notch. The staff is always very friendly. Only thing to note is that I have never gotten Wi-Fi to work in the rooms. It works great downstairs in the restaurant and pub, but if working in your room is important its something to be aware of. All in all, a great value for 90 pounds out the door. I highly recommend it if you are going to be in the CSP/GX area.

We had drinks in the bar, music was a bit loud but service was fine. Lots of rowdy groups but we had a good night!

My husband and I stayed at the greyhound inn over the weekend. Our room was lovely and clean, warm and cosy. Bed was super comfy. Only down side was the shower door. We eat in the restaurant in the evening the food was superb and the staff lovely and friendly. We had breakfast wich was nice too. Although pouched eggs o er done.   I would definitely recommend it and will be staying again in the near future.

Will never visit again, didnt feel welcomed and the staff was rude. Messed the orders and insisted we did order it. Dont recommend to anyone. Wanted a good meal but was disappointed.

Very friendly and efficient service. Our ensuite room was clean and the decor pleasant (wood + muted greens) and in keeping with the style of the building. Low beams are handily marked "mind your head". Floorboards very creaky in places! The problem with staying in such an old building on a hot night in August is that there's no air conditioning and, as with the pub itself, not a whole lot of fresh air. Smokers filled all three outside areas including the riverside garden, which would otherwise have been lovely to sit in; the car park on the other side of the tiny River Misbourne can be busy but wasn't while we were there. As for our bedroom, opening the window wasn't a good option while the pub restaurant was open because of the smell of frying. They've made a good effort of trying to improve the view from the bedroom window of the bins and public car park with some very pretty window boxes. On the up side, the room came equipped with a quiet portable fan (and heater for colder nights) and free Wi-Fi, hot water came through quickly in the shower, and breakfast was good quality. All in all, about what was expected for a night in an old pub that's been nicely refurbished, though refurbishment was a few years ago now (probably after the big floods in about 2001) and some things are starting to look a little tired.

Fantastic food and some lovely real ales. Good service, but our hotel room was in need of a refurb. There was a noise all through the night, water tank or something. A light that we couldn't switch off. Oh and someone else's underwear in the drawer.

Went for dinner was very impressed lovely good cooked food. Going again.

This is a great pub, which would highly recommend. The food was brilliant. My husband enjoyed the well kept real ales and I had the most delicious ginger beer in the world. Would recommend this pub to everyone.

I recently had the great pleasure of spending a night at the Greyhound Inn. – what a fantastic treat! I understand it to be under new ownership so I do not have a view of its past but now it is a great little inn with a terrific pub. The service is very good, informal and welcoming; always with a smile. The restaurant is top notch and very surprisingly so. My experience has been to find mediocre foods associated with most such places but the Greyhound doesn’t just break the mold, it shatters it with some of the best food to be found. The chef is obviously as driven with pride in his product as are the new owners – what a delight! The rooms are also great and what they lack in size they make up for in warmth and character. Altogether this is a great package, a fantastic value and a truly wonderful place to stay.
