We stayed at the Belfry for a weekend Autmn spa deal.
On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and explained the hotel was changing hands.
We was very impressed with our new furnished room and the whole hotel was very nice and everyone was very welcoming and polite.
Our Autumn spa was very impressive package with a bottle of pressco, buffa lunch, evening meal and 60mins spa treatment.
Spa staff was extremely helpful and polite explaining everything we need to know and showing us around as this was our first spa break.
We was shown the relaxing room which was really nice with lounging chairs and relaxation music.
The swimming pool was nice and really enjoyed the steam room.

Great hotel great leisure facilities.

Went on a spa weekend. Had to change dates because of snow and either the booking agent or hotel forgot to change our treatments. Lucky we got in first thing on the morning we were leaving. The food was wonderful so really enjoyed myself.

An excellent Spa hotel. All facilities are well maintained staff are so helpful and the food is amazing. One of my favourite places to go for a pamper! Highly recommend the Belfry!

Disappointing.
Stayed last night as attended a function so thought it easier to make a night of it. Plan was to use the spa sat afternoon before the event, we got into spa area and promptly walked out again — was far too hot to try and relax and whole place looked tired and unclean. I think an outside hot tub is needed as would've happily sat in that for the afternoon.
The room was way over priced for what it was, however the air con was very welcome, Bed was comfy and room was clean.
Room service charge of £4 was a little unexpected and ontop of the over priced food was a huge negative.
Also £3.75 for a regular coffee and £26 for a bottle of wine that cost a fiver in the shops is extortionate.
Having said all that the evenings meal and breakfast this morning were very nice so no issues there.
It's such a shame as it's such a huge hotel (we got a tad lost trying to find our room! ) And should focus on the amenities a bit more and make the spa area more inviting and relaxing.

Lovely people, beautiful building, fantastic food and the spa is well worth visiting. We'll definitely be back!

I stumbled across the Oxford Belfry and had booked a weekend away with myself and my girlfriend's. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I had read a few reviews where people were not happy but after visiting I can't seem can understand why. The food was exquisite. The treatments were executed perfectly and the customer service here was splendid. The room was clean and spacious. We had complementary tea, coffee and biscuits! Honestly I had such a wonderful stay here. I definitely will return!

As with all Q Hotels, very good night's sleep, comfortable beds and a good breakfast. And in a lovely setting. However, as it's an old building, it's a bit tired and in need of a bit of a makeover. Also, breakfast doesn't have as much choice as other Q Hotels I've visited and slow to replenish any empty containers that may need refilling (eggs, beans etc). Overall though, the usual reliable Q experience.

Excellent hotel. Staff are friendly, welcoming and are happy to help. Rooms are spacious and clean. The food is very nice. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting! We stayed in a suite and it was enormous! The staff were very friendly and the food was very nice! We had room service which was very good quality food at a very good price! The breakfast was eat as much as you like and was of a good quality and they had a massive choice! It had a lovely swimming pool and sauna and steam room All in all a lovely hotel worthy of its 4 star rating and I would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful relaxing place to stay!

Hotel side of things is great, all the staff were very friendly (even sorting out taxis for us) good plentiful buffet lunch and breakfast, dinner was excellent. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable — smaller rooms could do with a fridge, we also had a VIQ room which was great but the shower head needed fixing as it was spraying everywhere. Unfortunately the spa side was a bit of a let down — we arrived to find only 3 of 7 hour bookings were on the system so none of us got an hour treatment, one of the party ended up with products instead of any treatments. Considering we’d paid it all 6 weeks in advance it wasn’t great — staff were clearly stressed so the atmosphere wasn’t relaxing — it took a while for an apology but then they did provide free tea and brownies and a bottle of prosecco with dinner. Treatments we did have were ‘OK’… not enough space round the pool either so didn’t feel spa-like to be honest. This side of things needs investment!

Excellent hotel I’ve visited for a spa day and it was a lovely location only thing I can fault is that the poolside area is a bit small. The relaxation lounge and the treatments themselves were good. It would be great if you could help yourself to tea and coffee in the lounge though. I’ve also used the meeting room facilities for a training course and it was very well organised, we had all the equipment we needed plus regular refreshments and a tasty buffet lunch in the restaurant. All in an excellent attractive location with modern rooms and facilities.

Used the hotel’s spa facilities for a friends hen party. I must say, I wasn’t impressed. The therapist was lovely and did an amazing massage however, I was put in a room without a shower (even though my treatment required me to have one half way through due to a scrub) and I was then made to walk back to the changing rooms to shower before going back and having my treatment finished. It didn’t make the experience very relaxing. The cleanliness of the facilities were not great at all. The changing rooms and pool area had rubbish everywhere. The steam room — I did not want to take my flip flops off! There were towels all over the floor and sanitary wear in the ladies toilets. It was really disappointing. I would not recommend the spa.

A big thank you to Becca for the lovely massages. Such a lovely pleasant young lady. Feel a million dollar's. Will be back again soon.

This is my 3rd stay at the Belfry for a spa weekend, the room was lovely, the food was really good as always, and the spa is fantastic, the only thing that spoilt it this time was we were woken up at 2 in the morning by a group of lads that were on a stag weekend, they were really loud and kept going in and out of each other’s room and slamming the door. I got up and went to them and asked if they could keep the noise down as people were trying to sleep and they should have more respect, but this went on for about an hour, so we never really got to sleep. I cannot understand why you should except taking a stag weekend booking with a load of young men in such a lovely hotel when you know they are going to get drunk and be a nuisance. I don’t think we will be going to the Belfry again as it spoilt the break for us and my husband payed a lot of money to upgrade to the pent house suite. Very tired and disappointed customer.

This is a really good hotel to stay in if visiting Oxford. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is really nice. The attached spa is really good, we always have a treatment when we stay. This was the sixth time we have stayed here and will definitely stay again when we return to Oxford. Hight recommended. The photos are of the suite we had.

The bathroom has a really good size shower enclosure as well as a full sized bath, and it still feels roomy. The shower is really powerful too. The food here has been excellent. Piping hot and very well cooked. As others have mentioned, the staff are all lovely. The Wi-Fi has good coverage all over the hotel and the speed when I was there was a very good 10-11 Meg both download and upload. The only bad thing I can think of is the price of soft drinks. Overall, a very nicely run hotel.

Amazing hotel. Absolutely huge. Very good size room. Large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Very nice food.

Excellent living accommodation, very helpful and friendly workers. Food menu unrivalled in every respect in high standards, delicious and excellent presentation. Well done to well thought out provision in the leisure centre.

Went to Oxford Belfry for a wedding anniversary. Spent a little time in the spa but it was overcrowded nowhere to sit. The lunch was good, plenty of choice and tasty. We had a nice room but it wasn't cleaned properly found hair on a bath and all over the bathroom floor. Not impressed about that. Staff was nice and polite.

Stayed for one night with the spa package and could not find any fault at all. All the staff were amazing, so friendly and couldn't do enough for you, going over and above their duty and doing it with pleasure, from the receptionists to the maintenance man who helped my mum up the stairs with her case. Treatments were great. Food was excellent, with plenty of choice. Highly recommend and would definitely book again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

An excellent spa break. Highly recommended and very good value for money. The food choices were amazing. They catered for all tastes. The staff, every one of them, couldn't do enough to please us. Friendly, helpful and went out of their way, when asked a question. The treatments were first class. Had a relaxing weekend and would definitely come again Marisa.

Excellent rooms, big spacious bathroom and bedroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed for a wedding and they put on a separate staffed breakfasts for the guests the day after which was very good.

Unfortunately they have an old heating system and ours didn't work throughout our stay. They provided heater fans that did the job in the end, very good buffet breakfast with a good selection. Set three course meals weren't to my liking and the portions were small. The hotel itself was large and there were some very nice spots to relax which would be great during the summer, also the rooms were decent and a good size.

Excellent service from the start. Warm welcome. Very large L shaped twin-room for me and my daughter and everything laid out as expected. Very good reliable internet service throughout the building at all times. We arrived on our 2 night Spa stay just in time for lunch which was tasty. The pool, sauna all very good but in the ladies changing room it would have been helpful to know we needed the old £1 coin for the lockers. However the assistant in the leisure section was very helpful and accommodating. The Spa service we selected on both days was EXCELLENT. Breakfast, lunch and 3 course evening meal I loved it. All in all a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend this Spa Hotel to a friend for sure. I myself would definitely return.

Enjoyed the spa facilities and had a massage here. It is pricey but the staff were excellent and the location was great. The food is also highly recommended, the fish being particularly good. Very spacious too, great place to hold an event. Spa facilities included: pool (pleasantly surrounded by loungers and seating), sauna, steam room, rain shower, gym and numerous massage rooms.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. The spa treament was amazing. The only negative thing I have to say is, I didn't rate the main course, ordered a brie and mushroom Wellington really looking forward to it but it looked like a second rate pastie, sorry but I'm a bit of a foodie!

I attended with my mum and sister for a spa day. The buffet style lunch was amazing so much choice. The spa so relaxing and treatments were great, my favourite has to be the hot stone massage. Didn't use the gym as had too much food in the buffet. Overall fantastic day out can't wait to go again!

Attended a conference at the Oxford Belfy. Food and service was great.

Great spa break. Staff were polite and welcoming. Great facilities including indoor pool, steam room, sauna and offers a variety of treatments. Food in the restaurant was very palatable for the evening meal. Breakfast included traditional English hot food and various cereals and was nothing special.

Very pleasant hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.

Spa day visit. Included use of facilities, an hour long treatment and afternoon tea with prosecco. Pool facilities were small but not too busy do it was fine, changing rooms were very small though which was a bit troublesome when lots of people arrived at the same time. Used the gym which was also small but good and modern equipment. Spa area was nice though the air con/heating unit in the massage room was broken so a little chilly. All staff on the day were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would go again.

Great massage. Great facilities. A lot of kids running around in the pool area (it was half term though) so not entirely relaxing but was still fun.

Lovely hotel. Good size rooms. Very clean. Excellent service procided by all staff from reception and maintenance to the restaurant staff.
