Amazing environment, superb restaurant staff, bartenders, cleaners and ownership.

Great food in the dinning area earlier on. However, around 10:30, an awful din in the bar where some rubbish TV channel is blaring out full blast, not good as this is a residential pub.

Lovely little find along Marlborough High Street. Food was lovely. Great service and very friendly staff. Well done guys 👍

I’m on a quest to find the best burger in the UK.
I’ve eaten burgers from all over the world and I would rate the burgers in this restaurant in the top three that I have tasted.
I would go as far as top two.
Great staff, great food.
A must place to visit and eat.
You will not regret it.
Highly recommend.

The best burger I have had in years, the side salad was amazing with tempura battered cauliflower would definitely recommend this place. If we were locals would go here more often.

We stopped for lunch me and 2 kids, barmaid was very helpful to find extras that weren’t on menu for us. Food was good, no complaints.

We had a great stay here for a few nights, very friendly accommodating staff, even put a mini fridge in our room to keep drinks cool in the heat. Food delicious and great value rooms too. Will definitely be back.

Stunning room, decor — french chic, superbly comfortable bed, lavish bathroom with double shower. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had… all supported by friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Had an amazing mixed grill. Hubby had a burger, the largest burger we have ever seen I hasten to add. Staff very friendly will definitely go again when we are back in that part of the country.

Thank you for what you all done for us last night. We would have been stranded otherwise. The owners of this pub restored faith into humanity they took us in when we was stranded in the snow they had no rooms but made us beds up on the floor. Police had shut all roads out of the town and these amazing people helped a lot of people out hats off to you guys. Yours thankfully from the three open reach engineers.

Nice place with excellent staff and friendly management. Sunday dinner is a delight and good price to boot. Always happy to accommodate my two children which arent always angelic. Please enjoy a visit.

Beautifully recently refurbished rooms to a high standard. Shower to die for! I have been back many an occasion as its such a lovely place to stay.

We stayed over at the bear and had a great time, stayed in room 1 which was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed, breakfast was amazing so much and really tasty, the pub had a singer on and everyone was singing along, such a lovely atmosphere, hope to return soon, thankyou for a great stay.

Nice atmosphere to this pub with helpful staff. The accommodation was clean with a good decor. The included breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality. Some noise from the bar could be heard in the room, but not enough to disturb any sleep (unless you're a particularly light sleeper).

Lovely place, friendly staff. We were in room 1 which is a bit noisy at night as the bar plays loud music. If you’d prefer a quieter room you could request one when booking. Amazing breakfast, really big and tasty! Would return.

The rooms were seemingly nice enough. The en suite was awful though, need a complete rethink and modernisation, do the room a disservice. The night we were there a fight broke out in the pub, I understand this can happen, but the guys that were fighting had been in there a long time, and the barman should have known to cut them off. The breakfast was good though.

Can't fault the place. Great value and quality room right in town. The new rooms are done well with quality furnishings.

The pub is lovely and clean and very accommodating for families with high chairs, baby change facilities and a good selection of kids food. We had a family lunch and all the food was delicious and fresh and came in generous portions, I highly recommend the fish and chips!

Very very quiet night. So no excuse for an ice cold shot of espresso. Any place that can't serve a hot espresso has issues.

Cozy little pub in on the high street. Makes an amazing full English breakfast! Room was clean, has independent heating and seems recently refurbished. Nice set of amenities and facilities for coffee and tea. Was really nice of them to accommodate us even though we arrived an hour after the pub had closed. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Sunday roast, was far better than we were expecting and reasonably priced, we will be back.

Pros: amazing location. Rooms are amazing and the bed feels like you are sleeping on a cloud. Lovely, kind and always smiling staff. The lobby is a pub that is amazing. Cons: No breakfast option before 9am Wi-Fi does not reach top two rooms If checking out before 9ish you have to exit through the back door, which makes it feel like some sort of walk of shame scenario.
