No mention of major refurb when my partner booked, no price reduction to reflect this either.

Average at best. T. V. Don't work and basic breaky but staff are pretty friendly.

Good clean hotel, with cheap prices whilst the refurbishments are taking place.

Awful, my garden shed is in a better state. Not helped by the tardy, grumpy staff on reception, avoid!

Great service, lovely staff! Though the rooms are outdated and some of the rooms I've stayed in, the shower and Wi-Fi was not so great. Although this hotel is currently being refurbished.

Good hotel. There was work going on ovef my stay, but still a nice little hotel.

Old, dated, dark and noisy rooms and a cleaner who didn't knock before barging into our room at 8.30am. I'd wait for the refurbishment to a Hilton to be completed if I were you.

Ideally situated next to the main road, next to a Tesco which can cause noise issues with traffic. Currently undergoing a refurbishment to be a Double Tree by Hilton, so parking spaces limited and there is no kitchen for meals. Breakfast basic but given situation not too bad. Standard rooms bigger than expected, showers hot but not powerful, bed ok. A 20 minute walk into town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A bit old and currently under renovation. 10-15 minetes of walk from the city center, so better to have your own car for access.

Was under refurboshment but 100% undisturbed sleep and froendly staff. It was a shame there was no cooked breakfast.

Decent transport to Oxford city centre and right next to a Tesco, McDonald's and Esso. Hotel is a bit dated but being renovated and changed to a Hilton (by late 2018) so that will change soon. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff, fast Wi-Fi, can't complain.

Hotel is currently undergoing refurbishing. Amiinities in the hotel are limited. However efforts have been made by the hotel to ensure least disruption possible. No resteraunt available however there are others within walking distance. No bar — alcohol is available from reception. Breakfast — continental. Selection of self serve hot & cold options and ground coffee (not filtered). Overall it's Ok.

I stay at the hotel often and although it's quite pricey the breakfast is decent and the bed is always incredibly comfy.

Polite staff. Providing free breakfast because the hotel is having building work done. It's not the most modern of places at the moment. It's becoming a Hilton. Its clean and located fantastically for many of the parks in Oxfordshire.

The hotel was pretty old and work down but clean and everything was functional. It did state that major renovations would be starting the following weekend and the concept looked impressive. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were a reasonable size, would have thought breakfast should been included in the price but then again it's in the Oxford area.

Service was good. Despite the room being non smoking (and having a sign saying there was a £100 fine for smoking) there was an almost unbearable stench of cigarettes. Room was fairly clean and breakfast was OK.

Good buffet, friendly and attentive staff, but the bar closed a little early for my tastes.

Great place, easy to find lovely clean rooms had an enjoyable stay.

This place is a little tired and in need f some improvements in the rooms. The floors were horrendously squeaky, I felt bad for the poor person below me! Had a disco on a Monday night which was going until midnight and found it hard to sleep due to the booming music. In all honesty I would probably not go back here and instead choose the premier inn down the road.

Just spent New Year's Eve here,,, just brilliant,, great food, decent champagne, attentive welcoming staff, comfortable clean room and a lovely breakfast,, couldn't have asked for better,, will be going here again.

We had Christmas lunch at this place… In the "MEETING ROOM "…? Hardy any Christmas decorations. (only the hats from people's crackers). The music could not be heard from where we sat. Whilst the food was satisfactory. Our waiter didn't know the difference between custard & cranberry sauce. Overall… Very dissatisfied. Never again on Christmas Day.

Rooms basic, but functional. Evening meal was nice and service polite.

Friendly staff, good food, decent rooms (for the price) but the Wi-Fi is terrible (in my room at least).

Just went for a meal there, really enjoyed. The combination of fantastic, enthusiastic staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices struck a real winner. A great idea.

Pleasant. Clean. About 67 a night with breakfast. Well worth the price. Food fitting with 3 star. Would use again.

The breakfast was acceptable.

The food is variable in quality and seems very dependent on the chef they have at the time. Out of the six meals I have had there only one was cooked well and hot and not overseasoned.

Its a very drab place to stay. Not very warm and the rooms were meager, threadbare and musty.
