Booked this hotel for a one night stay, 3 rooms 2 x parking for 15 nights. Upon booking the lady seemed pretty clueless to be honest but did me a "deal" and the price was to good to be true (£270). I phoned the hotel before leaving Birmingham as the website was down so just wanted to ensure everything was OK etc. Apparently not. They had no record of my booking even though I gave the lady my card details, address etc when I booked. It has landed us right in it, I can't find a hotel for tonight and can't find airport parking so now forced to get 7 people to stanstead via taxi at £240 each way. Angry is an understatement, the only thing I can do now to make me feel slightly better is review the hell out of this shocking hotel.

I phoned the hotel on arrival at the airport to arrange pick up. Shuttle pick up collected me no problem. Checked in, used shower and slept. Bed was very comfortable, rooms were clean. I didn't use any other facilities in the hotel. The shuttle had me to the airport promptly. Would use again. Thank you, staff at DeSalis, for making transfers easy.

Stayed there a night. They picked us up from the airport pickup and drove us to the hotel and back to the airport pickup spot. It is a very small hotel run by about 4 people. They are all very nice and very helpful.

The room was very clean and the staff very helpful.

The room was alright and quiet for one night, the bathroom could have been a bit nicer. I wanted to make a tea in the evening but I found that the kettle inside was really not looking good, it really needed a clean. The shuttle bus is fast and costs 6 pound each way. The staff were either not overly memorable or not great.

Little tired, clean and comfortable. Sink leaked and old repairs were obvious. 5 mains from Airport so convenient.

I booked airport shuttle service but when I arrived at airport I was told to take a taxi instead because it was late. Of course it's late, that's why I asked for the airport shuttle service, I also emailed twice before my stay to confirm they would indeed provide the shuttle service throughout the night. The first email went unanswered, the second got a response saying of course the shuttle would run at this time and that it was no problem at all. My taxi was not refunded and when I arrived the receptionist even tried to convince me that it was my mistake and I had booked airport shuttle for the next day instead, which was not the case at all. He was very rude and clearly very lazy, he obviously couldn't be bothered to pick me up. Thank goodness the bed was very comfortable as I had a very long flight and was completely exhausted. Breakfast was also good but the staff let this place down. Disappointing. Not what you need when you already have the stress of flying etc.

Location was great, very close to the airport. You couldn't hear the planes flying above so I had a good sleep. The only negative is that the room was a bit dirty but nothing incredible.

Really convenient from the airport and efficient shuttle. Bit of a weird hotel. Clean, but dated and odd decor!

It's nice to spend a night before traveling. It's like a recycled farmhouse. The service is very nice and the restaurant eats very well. The pieces are somewhat outdated but comfortable. Despite being close to the airport, it is envun very quiet place. At night, it's hard to find him.

Considering its so close to the airport its remarkably quiet at night. We all slept really well. We had the 'family room' which consisted of a bathroom and two bedrooms and was plenty room for 4 people. The room and the corridors/reception area were very clean and well presented, and although we didn't eat there the food smelled lovely. There was plenty of tea/coffee etc, and if you run out of loo roll they're happy to give you more. We had a really comfortable stay, and if in the area again we would stay here. And for those going to the airport, they do a taxi service to and from there.

Great place. Bath was to die for. Disco lights and water jets. Food lovely. Near air port. Staff very friendly.

Although it is close they do not take you to the airport, they leave you in another hotel with better performances and you go walking on a wooded road to the airport and carrying the suitcase. The person at the front desk makes no attempt to understand us. Better cleaning.

Clean and warm, beds ok, breakfast ok. However, this hotel is right on the flight path for Stansted and the windows are old and not sound proof. Expect lots of noise.

Spacious rooms, nice bathroom, tea and coffee making available.

Comfy beds in what is a basic hotel. Can hear planes taking off so sleeping isn't the easiest.

Very convenient place to stay the night and get an early flight. A bit run down in places but for the price no complaints.

Great place to stay. Was on my own but felt safe. I had this amazing home made pizza. Glass of wine about £6.00 a bit expensive. Staff picked me up from infront of the Radisson blu hotel. I do not usually do review I have decided to do them now. As when the am going somewhere new I find review helpful. There is an extra charge for bus £6each way it you are on your own. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was very nice and clean. Well done to the staff for making my stay enjoyable be it one night.

I enjoyed my stay here but don't count on the £6 transport to Stansted airport I had to get a £15 taxi there and back so it cost me £30 instead of £12. I also had Wi-Fi in my room but it was wasnt very good. however the facilities are lovely, the staff are lovely and the breakfast is lovely. (breakfast isn't free for all customers, it's £6.50 but it's a buffet type and you can eat as much as you want. )

Noisy in room 8 due to bad windows and airport. Alarms woke me twice. Nice staff, free parking. Breakfast OK.

Decent overnight accommodation to airport with shuttle mini bus to Radisson blu hotel at terminal entrance.

I got a room under the roof. Very small, very short and claustrophobic, awful. I saw nice room downstairs. At least good comfort with the bed. Oh, no hope to sleep with the dark in the morning, thanks to the very smart white courtains. Courtesy of the staff. Avoid fresh stuff at breakfast (no service at all an easy to find a dirty table) : terrible eggs, tons of salt in the sausages, beans are made of sugar only! Really not enough for a four stars hotel. I paid additional 12£ for the return transfer from Stansted airport.

In this place you can either find a new member of staff in a very short period of time or find the reception left completed unattended for ages. Deco very confusing and old fashion. Room spacious but very old, carpet very smelly with stains. Bathroom with sink leaking and water all over the floor, bath terribly old which I didn't want to put my feet in. Opened a cupboard in the bedroom and found food left over from previous guest, which means, cleaners have not checked properly. Ate at the restaurant which is in between entrance/reception area so it doesn't feel like a "restaurant". We had a pizza, however, we were served with a more child like size pizza. Why do they charge the full price £8.99 for a margherita and then they give you a small one? Very unhappy, but the pizza was good, at least! As I left my car parked there, I had troubles for pick up on my way back. It took them 20 min before someone answered the phone. It was the manager speaking, he was not bothered about my frustration of having had to waste 20 min before booking the shuttle to pick as up. I really don't know how this place managed to achieve 4☆☆☆☆ as the lack of details, dirtyness, horrible customer service and smelly carpets everywhere in the building, made our stay very unpleasant. i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

The best and closest airport. They make it easy to transport you to the airport at any time. The room is comfortable. They leave you a plate, a kettle or coffee and you to prepare it yourself. There's No closet. And they give you a unique 2 in 1 to shower you.

Room are lovely and really comfortable. Really close to Stansted airport so if you have a early flight it's a good to stay in this 4 Stars hotel.

Very clean and spacious hotel, great value for money and very friendly staff. Hotel is very close to standard airport, but not too much noise. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport which is a very reasonable £5. The only issue I had was that the closing of other guests door through the night was quite loud and awoke me a couple of time, could be easily sorted though. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay again when using standard.

Expensive for what will just be an overnight stay for most before or after a flight. With no breakfast included and having to pay for a shuttle both ways I don't feel it's great value for money. They are very nice and friendly plus the rooms are large and very clean.

A truly depressing experience, from the morbid "welcome" to the insultingly priced breakfast (£8.50). Seemingly a one man show, the sourpuss manager come taxi driver was a sorry sight. He grunted as he dropped us off at the terminal, vaguely signposting that he'd in fact dropped us off down the road, nowhere near the terminal (this cost us an extra £10). The breakfast was an upsetting affair, we had to ask for the lights to be switched on so I could illuminate my "continental breakfast". The room itself was actually tolerable, although the Wi-Fi doesn't reach. Pay the premium and stay at the Radisson.

This hotel has all the potential to be a nice stay but in reality is a complete mess and a cliche bad hotel run by idiots. My first issue is that we were not offered help with luggage. This is the first time this has ever happened to me coming into a hotel. When we entered our room the smell of stale smoke hit us like a brick wall and there was also a faint damp smell in the bathroom. I decided to have a bath and when getting out found that there was a massive cold flood all over the floor. When I reported that this to reception they didnt offer any assistance, only towels. At this point I mentioned that the room smelt of smoke and the Wi-Fi would not work in any part of my room. I was told to come to the lobby to use Wi-Fi but I was not told that Wi-Fi was not available in the rooms which meant I was fruitlessly trying to use it all night. I wasn't told until the mroning that Wi-Fi is only available in public areas. In the morning after breakfast (which is widely overpriced at £6.50 for a continental breakfast) I told the desk that I would want a refund for the room based on the flood and the smoke smell. They told me that they would have to investigate the room as maintenance had only been in there yesterday. What followed was ridiculous. The hotel manager proceeded to argue that I had "moved the drain of of position" and overflowed the tub. Therefore the flood was my fault. He showed me the drain and the overflow drain was hanging off.

On arrival, there was one man in front of me. Unfortunately they had lost his hotel reservation. The three staff there all dedicated themselves to this person, although that basically involved one person checking and the other two rechecking what the first person had done. I did feel like they could have at least acknowledged me and checked me in, which they did after 10 minutes of being stood there. I sympathize with the man's problem though. He told them they need a better system, and rather than accepting that the staff decided to argue that their system worked perfectly (despite losing his reservation). After being checked in, and after they tried to charge me for a room I had already paid for, I found the room was not up to standard. The paint job was sloppy, the heating didn't work, the TV had no reception, and I had no Internet access. Additionally, the furniture in the bathroom was broken, including parts of the shower itself. The room was very cold, which made for an unpleasant night. The staff phoned at noon to tell me I needed to pay extra for not checking out on time, despite telling them the night before I would be checking out at 1pm. When they rang, I told them I'd check out at 1pm. Still, they phoned back again only 20 minutes later to tell me I had overstayed, again… I went to reception for my shuttle back to the airport because they seemed to want me out of the room.

This is more of a motel than a hotel. It is definitely not 4 stars, there was a bad smell all over the place and the bathroom was especially unclean, I was not able to use it. By the way, I booked the shuttle service and when I called to get picked up from the airport, the staff who answered the phone said that I should take a taxi! After a pleasant exchange he finally decided to send the shuttle, it took it 35 minutes to arrive. In short, I do not recommend this (m) hotel.

Nice paint job. Room big enough. Breakfast. Poor. Ants and out of date food. Shuttle service ok.
