Just spent lovely four days at the Woolacombe in the Swallows Suit, just amazing. Daily baked biscuits in the room, luxurious toiletries that smell absolutely divine, so much so I need to purchase some. We didn't get the chance to hit the outdoor pool due to weather, but the indoor heated pool made up for it. My ten yr old was obsessed with the pool table, my husband with the gym, and I got to have a wonderful massage by Heidi. We even watched a movie in their own cinema. Oh and you must have breakfast at Doyles and dinner at the Brasserie. Lush. Defo a place to recommend. Thanks for having us 🙏

Such a beautiful relaxed hotel, all the staff were so helpful and accommodating and made our stay really enjoyable. The spa was so lovely, dinner was delicious and the bar staff were very accommodating making amazing cocktails! We really enjoyed our long weekend.

Absolutely amazing hotel, we have stayed here multiple times and got married here a few weeks ago, the staff are polite, accommodating and very helpful, the rooms are just delightful, big, clean and beautifully decorated.

This is a beautiful hotel. Fantastic location, fabulous decor, wonderful room. The facilities are brilliant — the spa, the cinema, tennis courts. The food in the restaurant was great. Every single member of staff encountered was friendly, helpful and happy. Could not recommend more highly. The only slight negative was the massage I had — I booked and paid for 40 minutes but received 25 mins.

Such a wonderful hotel, lovely staff, very clean, amazing building with many original features, quality food, great spa treatments and facility’s, very modern gym, cinema is comfy, relaxing bedrooms, perfect location, can’t fault it!

What a fabulous place to stay, 18 of us enjoyed their hospitality, top-drawer service & fabulous food over a long weekend. If you want to relive the opulence of days gone by with all the modern amenities then this is THE place. You get what you pay for, so pay it & enjoy. Many thanks WBH, an 86 year old and his 18-strong family thank you for making our (possibly) last hurrah a memorable one.

Your staff member on the entrance of your hotel was incredibly rude and discriminated by asking me if I have been vaccinated. I find your policy of not allowing non guests very short sighted. I have ate at your venue many times spending a lot of money but I can assure you I will never come again. I am happy to go to a place that is more welcoming and non discriminatory.

Just had a wonderful second stay at the hotel! This time Celebrating Mums 80th birthday. The whole family love this hotel. Well organised for the Covid situation and the staff are lovely and work very hard indeed! The food was excellent and the hotel spotlessly clean. Didn’t feel the Covid restrictions affected our stay at all-we even had the indoor pool to ourselves on two occasions. We genuinely can’t wait to return.

Stayed at the hotel a few times love the view great location and the spa is amazing with amazing service however the restaurant let’s the hotel down the service of afternoon tea was sub standard! The attitude of some of the staff was not what I’d expect given the spa staff are so attentive. I treated my partner to a special afternoon tea in the private room of the brazz section. On arrival we arrived early, consequently tea stands were clearly pre prepared and not fresh as sandwich bread was hard and scones were served with apricot preserve as opposed to the traditional strawberry and cream. We were left unattended for 40 mins no checks to see if everything was ok and no further opportunity for drinks and then when approached the bar was told abruptly wait a minute with the perceived attitude of your bothering me then to charge us for soft drinks as neither of us drink tea or coffee. To be left unattended when the restaurant had three small families in and with so many staff on I would expect better service. Needless to say I won’t be eating or subjecting any special friends or family to this type of service again! Learn from your spa ladies…

We had a meal at the Brasserie the staff were very polite and helpful and the meal was well cooked and presented. The atmosphere and curtesy shown by the staff made this a real pleasure to spend time here. We shall be going back to stay for a few days in 2020 and looking forward to it.

The staff were all wonderful, so friendly. There's a lovely ambience around the hotel. The views from the rooms at the front are out of this world.
It is our 30th wedding anniversary today & the hotel sent us a card & balloon. A lovely thought.

Beautiful clean establishment, friendly staff and gorgeous food. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend a visit to the restaurant, the steak is succulent and delicious.

I have been coming to the hotel for 15 years and always enjoy my stay in the apartments. I find the staff incredibly helpful and it's in a beautiful location. I did prefer the more 'old fashioned' hotel prior to the refurbishment / new marketing, and feel the hotel has lost some of its glitz and glamour that made it once feel so grand and luxurious, oozing Victorian seaside charm. However, these things are so much to do with personal opinion. I love that the beautiful grandfather clock is still there. I miss the old feel but I still love Woolacombe.

We visited the woolacombe bay hotel for dinner whilst on holiday & loved it, fab menu & service and if you get the chance to book into the cinema it is incredible! Would love to stay here in future!

We had our wedding reception at the hotel & staying for 2 nights. The staff were fantastic. Every one was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful breakfast buffet, and comfy bedrooms.

We’ve just had the most fantastic weekend away at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel. The hotel as been very sympathetically refurbished, beautifully decorated, a lovely swim, spa and treatment area and super cool cinema. The food at the Doyle’s restaurant was faultless and, despite our fears, our two year old was made very welcome. Breakfast was good the staff were all very attentive and quite honestly we’ve had worse service in some London five stars. Set in beautifully maintained grounds the hotel is a short walk from the beach, we had a great room with sea views and watched the sunset each evening. If you want a family friendly hotel with a touch of luxury I would throughly recommend staying here.

Brilliant staff, if I had a hotel I would pinch them! Clean and nicely decorated. We just had drinks, but the food looked great.

Really nice hotel. We only used the food area in the courtyard. Our dogs we very welcome they even offered a bowl of water for them. Lovely food and reasonably priced. Would return.

Our daughter got married here today every Thing from start to finish was perfect the venue the staff food amazing thank you.

Love this hotel so much. The indoor pool is absolutely amazing and loads of fun and as is the on-site golf course. The outdoor pool is also modern and great for all the family. We also all love playing table tennis, tennis and pool which are all free activities and you can borrow bats, cues and racquets from the main reception. The buffet breakfast at Doyles (the restaurant inside) is also stunning.

First class Hotel. Keep coming back. Had a few different rooms and they are all lovely. All the staff friendly. Always enjoy treatment at The Haven Spa. Food is great. Beautiful grounds which lead down to the beach. What more could you ask for.

As a family we've been visiting Woolacombe Bay for over 20 years and the hotel is wonderful — while we stay in the apartments up the hill, we have full use of the hotel, including the pool, games room, bar, and more. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the cafe at the front is relaxing. Would highly recommend!

Have had many lovely holidays at this hotel. The only thing missing is a nice lounge area with a bar, the bistro is ok but a little dark. Lovely leisure facilities and fantastic views from the bedrooms. Would recommend.

A beautiful hotel with fantastic amenities for families with young children and unrivalled access to one of the best beaches in the UK. Great hotel restaurant called doyles. You'll need to make a reservation as it gets very busy in peak season. The restaurant has incredible views of the sea and sunset.

We got married here on Sunday and the team at the hotel from the day of our arrival to departure yesterday were absolutely amazing! Samantha who co ordinated our wedding was an absolute pleasure to work with, nothing was too much trouble in the months leading up to our wedding or on the day, our wedding day ran perfectly on time. Samantha was attentive throughout to us always checking we were ok, if we wanted anything, kept us up to date with timings and all with a great sense of humour to put us at ease yet still remaining professional. Bex was also very attentive and helpful throughout our stay, very down to earth and made us feel at ease, she was a pleasure to chat with. All the staff were amazing at the hotel nothing was too much bother! If you are considering the bay hotel as a wedding venue… don’t consider. DO IT! The photos we had taken within the grounds are amazing and some of our favourites are the ones on the glass bridge at the Lido. We would happily share them with you once we have them! We then ate on Wednesday in the Brasserie and the food was out of this world; we had ordered steak and duck and it was cooked perfectly and packed with flavour; worth every penny!

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Really enjoyed every minute of our stay here, and have never felt so welcome. I must admit that, we were very lucky with the weather, as it has so much to off in terms of, scenery, walks and things to do! Will definitely be visiting again!

Being from north Devon but living away this is going to my coastal have. Amazing views where you can see Lundy island. Stone through away from the coast. Didn't stay as a guest but did a day treat using the spa which was clean and modern with all a guy needs in a gym. Nice staff and a warm fire in the lounge for those colder nights and days.

Just got back from a perfect break at Woolacombe bay Hotel. Everything was perfect. The room was amazing with a stunning sea view that you can see from the bath! It was just simply perfect. The food in the restaurant was to die for. We rated it within our top 3 meals we’ve ever had!
Everything about the hotel was perfect from the room, staff, food, location. Just sad to be home now.

Great News years 3 day break. Room spacious and view great. All staff pleasant and friendly. Would love to do it again. Party night was well organised and very enjoyable.

Nice hotel with a good pool and the gym includes a bouldering wall. The closest hotel to the beach (not that there are that many! ) There is also an outdoor pool if you are staying in the summer. Restaurant has a bit of a weird dark gothic vibe but the food was okay.

Had our christmas function here. Food was really nice and staff were very helpful.

Beautiful hotel with lovely food and great facilities. The spa is amazing, and offers a wide range of services. There is a pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, squash courts, and a pool table. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Food was a bit on the expensive side but absolutely delicious, using local ingredients. The daily soups were a particular highlight for me. The only downside for me was that outside of the hotel, the village was eerily empty, with very few shops, pubs or anything. However, I imagine it is a bit more lively during peak season.

I love this hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The views are gorgeous. The grounds lead down to the superb beach. The shops are practically outside the door. Two restaurants. Several different lounges (one Adult only). The decor throughout is lovely. What's not to like about this Hotel!

Hotel is in an ideal location, with front facing rooms having an view of the sea/beach. Has inside and outside swimming pool, steam room, sauna, library, games room, etc. Room was snug, but bed a bit too soft for my liking. Breakfast was good with nice selection. Overall very good.

Popped in to The Bay restaurant for a quick lunch & not disappointed. Attentive staff, area for guests with dogs, fresh & tasty dishes. Highly recommended.

A great location within Woolacombe with a fantastic view of the bay and surrounding area. Staff are friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are well kept and make a great setting for a weekend away.

Amazing! Me and my family have been going every year since I was born and I have really enjoyed it. Beach is packed but really fun because Ive started doing surfing and the views are amazing. The restaurant is fantastic and I am going again this year! Best holiday place ever!

Woolacombe Bay Hotel has a great location, only a pitch and a putt away from the sea — quite literally, as looking from the front rooms over the hotel's pitch and putt golf course the sea is right there. Our room was lucky enough to have the sea view, and it was spacious and comfortable, with a large en suite as well. The hotel is a bit of a maze as it has been extended over the 100+ years of its life, but it contains two good restaurants with prompt and helpful service, some comfortable public sitting spaces, as well as a health spa, an indoor and an outdoor pool, and even a couple of squad courts!

Easily a 5 star hotel. Buildings stunning and very clean and refurbed. Our sea view balcony room is epic and gives a fantastic view of the sea and the beach. The ground are beautifully sculpted and maintained. The restaurant food is top notch tho a little pricey as to be expected. Never want to leave this place.

Food was fantastic, service was good. Baby changing facility only available in women's toilet, despite the fact that this is 2016.

I stay in the apartments and they are fantastic. You have full access to Hotel facilities, Wi-Fi and you are a stone throws from the beach — also very close to a fantastic arcade.

Thank you to Wendy and Martin for another amazing experience. Fantastic clean rooms, lovely Roxy Diner for breakfast. Stunning views and great for surfers and body boarders.

Great hotel with friendly vibe.

Incredible hotel. Been coming here for 20 years or so with my family and it's always been great. Really like the way they've modernised the place recently as well. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and welcoming and will do anything to accommodate your needs. Ended up staying in 2 different rooms and both were awesome; we even preferred the less expensive room. Honestly can't say a bad thing about the place — 10/10.

The staff are very friendly, on arrival the sign in was very simple and took only a few minutes. The facilities at the hotel are amazing and are spotlessly clean, I would stay here again in the future. A big thank you to the staff for taking care of us. My mother in law's special birthday could not have been made more special by the staff. The local beach is but a short walk, and a nice walk too.

Tried to eat at the bay view brassiery, the guy working was very miserable and unwelcoming so we left.

A great place to stay, great facilities, staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was excellent. Wish we had booked earlier as rear facing room and smell of the extract fans prevented windows from being opened, coupled with fire door being opened all day attracting more cooking smells in corridor. This was the only down side.

Great location (love surfing) great welcome. Great food and beautiful rooms. Put a bench or a few plastic seats in the new surf shack with an outside shower to rinse off like you had at the old shed please.

Wendy and Martin clearly love what they do, there is nothing they haven't thought of to make your stay comfortable, from free use of wetsuits and surf boards Wi-Fi, even ear plugs on the landing! The breakfast room is an amazing place and the food was perfect. The room we had was very clean and very comfortable with everything we needed to hand. Looking forward to a return visit soon … thankyou both.

It was an amazing experience and everything was fab :) i cant wait to go again;) everything was clean and it was worth every penny.

What a find! A very short walk to the beach! Martin and Wendy are superb hosts from the lovely warm welcome and throughout our stay. We had their apartment which has a great location with its own secluded patio area. The beds and sofa are really comfortable, with your own TV and DVD player as well as access to the library in the main hotel you are prepared for anything that the Atlantic can throw at you. The hotel has recently been refurbished by Martin and Wendy and full marks have to be given for the attention to detail and imaginatively themed breakfast dining room. A really nice stay where it feels like you are meeting up with old friends again. They also have wet suits and sea kayaks to borrow as part of the deal. We're planning a repeat visit next year.

Returned there for a long weekend after having not been there since my childhood. Wonderful hotel, superb service and the food is excellent, albeit a little on the pricey side. New outdoor pool is lovely and the character of the hotel remains.

Been at least 7 times, loved it each time, highly recommended. The service is excellent, quality is above excellent and the facilities are amazing, the indoor swimming pool is so clean and looked after, the outside one is too! I loved it and hope to go again soon :).

Only went for a drink but got sneered and laughed at by barmaid when I asked if they would be putting on the real ale at all. We had bottles from the fridge but as any other ale drinker know that is to cold for real ale. Other than that the building was lovely and view was nice to.

Have come here every year for 5 nights since birth, never had a complaint once and cannot think of a more beautiful spot perfect.
