5* Amazing Hotel love revisiting.

My husband and I stayed at Meadfoot last weekend for our anniversary. We were greeted by a very professional man who respected social distancing. We were able to check in an hour early and were explained the process of the guidelines for our stay. We were surprised to be greeted with a bottle of prosecco in our room. We could not fault anything. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and attentive. We booked the restaurant for our first night and we were not disappointed the food was out of this world. Beautifully plated and tasted amazing. The breakfast also was of top quality. Cooked fresh. Even the granola which was so good was homemade! All local produce.
We stayed in the ivy cove room. It was small but quaint more than what we needed as we were out most of the time. We also had a terrace.
The hotel doesn’t have a sea view as its on the other side of the bay but everything else made up for it.
The last morning at breakfast we were given a gift bag of water, home made brownies and a note to thank us for our stay, such a lovely touch. We will for sure return for another stay again very soon!

The food well that’s what you would expect from a restaurant in London so to receive at a hotel in Torquay was a fantastic surprise! What was a quick get away from work turned out to be the best weekend away we have ever had then when we checked out to be given a goodie bag for the journey every part of this weekend was thought out by the hotel and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend and will be telling everyone this is the place to be in Torquay!

Lovely peaceful hotel with excellent staff and amenities.
The Brasserie is excellent as is the talented chef Callum. His semifreddo alone is worth the journey (3hr) from Bournemouth! I wish I could have tried his rice pudding also!

I moved here in 1986 with my family and we ran this hotel from 1986 to 1990. I wanted to show some new family where I used to live and work. Jackie was SO helpful and accommodating. We even had a tour of the private areas (cooking/cleaning etc). Even the rooms people don't normally see were as immaculate as everywhere else. Lovely owners, lovely and clean. I hope they have all the success they deserve! The hotel is in safe hands and I highly recommend!

Very attentive staff and nicely decorated rooms. They make the best G&T serve a great Sunday lunch. Do not forget to take a stroll to the nearby beach, you will be pleasantly surprised!

Rooms are very good size and lovely and clean. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice. Lewis was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Enjoyed every minute.

A truly lovely, relaxing place to stay. The hotel is immaculate, Vikki, Phil, Jody and the rest of the team really make you feel welcome. Access to town on the 64 bus gets into town in 5 mins avoiding a stroll up the hill. Meadfoot beach is 5 mins down the hill. Great food and great gin!

Beautiful hotel combining tradition and modernity. Full breakfast in a marine-decorated dining room.
Saltern Cove Room has a private terrace with lounge chair and swing, a spacious bedroom and a modern bathroom with Italian bathtub and shower. Only negative are the stairs and narrow and the lack of elevator, but I guess that's the price to pay for this wonderful stay.

A pocket of sunshine, a gem of a B&B, artisan crafted breakfasts, perfect walking location to both beach at Meadfoot Bay and town centre. Faultless in every way.

We had a Wonderful weekend away, very nice owners, immaculately clean and the breakfast was superb, well done to all the staff for making our stay and birthday celebration very memorable, we will definitely be going back.

Excellent Hotel with beautiful refurbished rooms. The breakfast was exceptional my personal favoueitems being Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon.

Visited to do hair for a Bride. Beautiful modern rooms, with impeccable decor and facilities. Peaceful location with splendid views, plenty of parking and friendly hosts. Very warm and comfortable.

Always a fantastic place to go for a break or holiday. Close to the beach and town.

This is a great hotel. Our room, in the new section was bright, king bed, walk in shower, large screen TV. The hotel is clean, stately, friendly, and classy. On arrival we had hot tea and snacks provided by the new owners who were great to deal with and who went out of their way to make sure our trip was wonderful. Breakfast was included in the room price and featured home made jams, and jellies. All the ingredients for the breakfast are curated by the owners and wonderfully executed by the staff. I would certainly recommend them they have earned their stars!

Great hotel. Very friendly owners. The breakfast is really delicious, using local produce and you can really tell the difference! The granola is amazing! The hotel is a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach, and a short taxi ride from the harbour And town centre. Reasonable room rate, would highly recommend.

Four of us have just spent four days at this very friendly hotel. We were made very welcome with a welcome drink and piece of homemade cake on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast had a very good selection of cereals and cooked dishes with fresh bread products and homemade preserves. In the evenings if you don't wish to go out a selection of sandwiches or sharing platters were on offer (we thought this was a superb idea) these were served in the bar. Thank you to all for a superb time.

Really pleasant hotel! Fabulous breakfast and really friendly staff. My room was not as lovely as I would have liked but I was staying on business so somewhere to crash was all that I needed. Would encourage anyone to stay here!

Staying in the deluxe room for our 1 year anniversary. Beautiful room with a massive bathroom. Attentive and friendly staff that are only too happy to help and give pointers about the local area. Very fancy reception area with bar area, fantastic breakfast.

Simply a loverly quiet place with some stunning luxury rooms. Great breakfast too.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 days from the 16th of September from arrival to departure staff can not do enough this is a family run Hotel the breakfast is has be the best breakfast I've ever had in hotel this is a super run hotel and very clean a good value for money I would recommend this hotel to anybody is out of top drawer thank you very much Alan.

After a long time searching on the internet for somewhere for our honeymoon I came across this beautiful hotel which in photos looked perfect and when we arrived we was not disappointed. Our room was exactly how it looked in the photos it was clean, tidy and had such a fresh feel to it. As it was our honeymoon we appreciated the extra little romantic touches like rose petals on the bed. The owner Chris and his son Gary were perfect hosts at breakfast and at the bar, Caroline who we didn't get to meet was a fantastic cook her cooked breakfasts were delicious. Such a friendly family run business.
We will definitely be returning.

Just had our first stay at the meadfoot bay hotel and it will definitely not be our last! Such a fantastic friendly place to stay, the rooms are amazing and the service is out of this world. Being a family run business you get a lovely personal level of customer service that larger hotels lose. The choices for breakfast means there is something for everyone. Couldn't imagine going to Torquay and staying anywhere else now. Already looking forward to our next stay! ❤️

Location is near Meadfoot Beach. Our room was modern with a large bathroom including a wet room shower. A fridge provides water and milk for making hot drinks. Breakfasts are impressive with a large choice of continental items and a high quality hot choice. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

Before arrival I found Gary to be more than helpful. I travel and stay the length of uk and have stayed in exceptional places but this Hotel deserves the title class. It's short distance from the bay offers privacy while spotless and modern rooms offer comfort. Would recommend as a single couple or family accommodation. Liked so much I extended stay even though it meant more travel 10/10

Absolutely amazing hotel located close to Torquay Harbour and even closer to the beautiful Meadfoot Beach. I booked The Signature Suite with terrace and it was quite simply the best room I have ever stayed in. The room was really spacious with a gorgeous bathroom that not only had a wetroom style shower but also a bath with a wall hung LCD — yes a TV in the bathroom! The decked terrace was gorgeous with views out to Meadfoot Beach and had its own swing chair. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and have a coffee looking out to sea. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, which I loved, and the breakfast was out of this world. There was so much choice;everything you could possibly want. Full english, different preserves, breads and cakes, fresh fruit, home made muesli were all on offer and best of all it was cooked fresh to order using quality ingredients. I've stayed at many hotels, where clearly the cooked breakfast has been sitting for a long while and then is just reheated. This was not the case at the Meadfoot Bay Hotel! The family that own and run the Meadfoot Bay Hotel have got it spot on in my opinion. They have struck the perfect balance of retaining the character and charm of the Villa within the lounges, bar and restaurant;but have given the bedrooms and suites a modern and extremely luxurious look. We have already rebooked for later in the year.

Stayed just for the one night and a very pleasant stay it was too. Nice clean room, lovely balcony, which due to the weather we never got to appreciate. Friendly family run place, only down side is its a fair walk to the harbour but if you fancy a drink I shouldn't imagine the taxi fare would be much. Room Tip: Ours was room 19 with a lovely private/public balcony.

Such a wonderful hotel. We stayed in the St Andrews Suite which was gorgeous with every little extra thought of. I have never seen such attention to detail throughout an establishment. The hotel has free parking, free Wi-Fi (very fast by the way) and luxurious lounges and terraces to sit out and absorb the Torquay sun. The bar is worth a special mention as we enjoyed drinks every night before heading out and the prices beat the harbour prices by some way! By far the best hotel in Torquay in my opinion.

Amazing! Had such a lovely stay at The Meadfoot Bay Hotel. Attention to detail is quite spectacular here with every little extra thought of. We stayed the first two nights of our stay in a standard room and then moved to a Superior Deluxe Room for the final 5 nights. Thank you to Gary for fitting us in! We booked last minute and I would advise anyone booking to get in there early as this hotel is extremely popular. The standard room was lovely and exactly what we expected with it being comfortable with everything we needed. The Superior Deluxe room was gorgeous with its own little terrace area which had its own swing chair and mini table and chairs where we would enjoy a nice bottle of wine from the bar and sit on our terrace. The hotel does a great selection of wines by the way. We loved the aspect that the hotel was family run and the service received was perfect. We can't wait to come back next year. I had a Loveley time if I The Meadfoot Bay remained hotel in May of this year. Everything was perfect, welcome, the public rooms, free high-speed Internet access, my room and the best breakfast I've ever had. Led by a small family and their attention to detail is quite amazing that they've missed something. Can expect next year back and discover more of Devon.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Torquay, when staying at The Meadfoot Bay Hotel. The hotel is located 2 minutes walking from the glorious Meadfoot Beach and only 10 minutes from the main port, where are all the restaurants and Habour. Our room was spacious and clean. We booked a double room directly through the hotel website www. Meadfoot. Com and have very much. Breakfast was amazing and has us perfectly for the day, recommend we eat breakfast, if you have booked only based on room only. The lounges are breathtaking and the bar is comfortable and relaxing Reall, was cheaper drinks in the hotel than in the city itself, we very refreshing, found that since this isn't always the case with hotels. Free parking was an another added bonus and the staff were amazing. Amazing place.
