The camp site has generous pitches, 3 toilet/shower blocks, electric car charging, great little shop and the staff are both friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Location was perfect for lots of walks and activities at Bassenthwaite and Derwent water.

Just had an amazing 4 nights here in our camper. Absolutely loved every minute. Spotless site with lovely facilities, hot tubs fantastic and really friendly, welcoming staff. Had a fantastic day at caldbeck walking the Howk and trip to Keswick. Thanks for a great stay.

Immaculate site, really peaceful, super clean toilets and showers. Great for dogs.

Friendly, helpful staff, Excellent facilities, toilets and showers cleaned regularly. Microwave, toaster and kettle provided within the wash up area added bonus of hot water bottles will definitely come back.

We can highly recommended this place. We have spent our Chrismas there. We had hardstand pitch with hot tubs. Nice, tidy and clean place. Very nice nad helpful staff. Another great dog friendly farm.

Just stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and dog, never had such a peaceful more relaxing break, stayed in robin cabin couldn’t fault anything, the hot tub was fab to chill in after walks out with the pooch, and all the staff are so nice, we loved it so much we have booked again for next year 😀👍

Stayed here from the 2nd September for 1 week can't recommend enough… they provide every little detail for all cooking equipment and teabags /sugar etc which alot of lodges you have to take you own… very clean and friendly site.

Just stayed for 1 night in our roof top tent. Great campsite, very clean and tidy facilities. So peaceful and relaxing. Our puppy had a great time too. We will certainly be booking again.

Had a wonderful 4 nights at Wallace Lane Farm at the beginning of July, this was our 5th visit. The caravan was immaculate and kids thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Friendly staff and well maintained site 😃

Really lovely campsite. Peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Lovely dog walking path. Very clean facilities and well maintained. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, the owner even came out and rescued me when I got a puncture a few miles away!

Just spent a few days in Robins Lodge, it was a surprise 60th birthday treat.
We had an amazing experience. The Lodge had everything you needed and the staff were so friendly.
Never been in a hot tub and can honestly say it was brilliant. Can't wait to go back.

We’ve just spent 4 nights in Merlins Cabin — absolutely stunning accommodation in gorgeous surroundings. The amenities on site are great, including a shop and launderette. Dog friendly too and our dog Bobby loved his stay! Really friendly staff too, James was great and very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

We took our 2 dogs and stayed Monday-Friday in the Robins Lodge, facilities were great and the location is brilliant. James was really, really great and helped us whenever we needed. Loved it so much we’re coming back again later in the year! Thank you :)

Beautiful site, so peaceful, accommodation was spotless. Nice spot for accessing the lakes. We had some gorgeous weather too.

Lovely peaceful well kept site in the heart of the country side. We stayed in woodpecker cottage which sleeps 4 people and us very spacious. Nice hot tub out back and garden for the dog, with 23acres of land and woodlands for dog to explore. Management and staff are so lovely and go out of way to make sure you enjoy your holiday. Nearest pubs are approximately 3miles in either direction but both do great food.

Beautiful clean lodge, we throughly enjoyed our week stay in osprey Lodge. Owners very friendly.
We can't wait to return at Christmas.

Myself and my husband stayed in Starling Lodge for 2nights and absolutely loved it, couldn't fault it, lovely and clean and tidy. Log burning stove was nice and cosy, BUT the hot tub was amazing! lovely views, welcoming hosts, in fact we enjoyed it so much we've booked to come back in January.

Just stayed in the Kestrel Cabin for 3 nights and what an absolutely beautiful place! Cabin was lovely all fresh bedding/towels etc very very clean! Log burning fire which they provide kindle & logs! Very spacious we had 3 people and 3 dogs and there was more than enough space for us all! Staff were so helpful and welcoming couldn’t do enough for you! So many places to visit whilst your here short drives to most destinations. We went all over whilst staying here! Hot tub was also included in our cabin and it was so clean and kept up too. Nothing better than sat in a warm hot tub whilst taking in the beautiful views around the farm! Overall a brilliant place and would definitely recommend we will most certainly be coming back! Thank you Wallace Lane Farm its been fantastic we was very sad to leave!

Just home after a week stay in Barn Owl Bothy. Lovely accommodation, perfect for our needs. Seriously comfortable bed. Easy reach of north lakes we had a great week exploring and walking. Very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We camped at the weekend and although the weather was awful, we cannot recommend the site enough! The lady who greeted us was so helpful when we arrived and the facilities were spotless throughout the stay. Everything was dog friendly and we enjoyed the loop to walk the dog around the site, our little boy loved finding the next paw print! It was a great spot for exploring parts of the lake district. We will definitely be back to stay again. Keep up the good work! Thank you!

Lovely stay in Merlin Lodge, beautiful part of the country. Boys loved hot tub and loads near by to explore… even in the rain Will be back in the future and would recommend, very clean and friendly site, night sky and sunset amazing.

Absolutely wonderful peaceful stop in our Motorhome. Facilities were excellent and the staff are welcoming and have thought of everything. Kids enjoyed freedom to have good old fashioned outdoor adventures.

We stayed in the Skylark Lodge, its absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our time here gutted to be going home. Very spacious and clean. Hot tub was nearly ready on arrival. Very relaxing. We will definitely be coming back.

The staff are amazing they are like your family the views are fantastic especially as the sun goes down and the lodges are out of this world and each one has it's own hot tub we have been going now for 3 years camping and in the cabin. We are going back next year and we carnt wait thank you to you all see you next year xxx.

Stayed twice in Osprey Lodge last week and wow it’s beautiful. The family who own the land are just lovely nothing is too much bother for them. The lodges are absolutely spotless. The area is really nice. Thank you all of your family John and James and Janet for making both our stays there just perfect and peaceful. We will come again. We wish you success with your new cabins they look fab xx highly recommended x.

We stayed in a Safari tent which was amazing it was like having the inside of your house in a tent, the place was beautiful and the owners were very welcoming we truly enjoyed the experience and will be returning soon.

A nice and not expensive campsite in the north of the Lakedistrict with good toilet block facilities. The first one I came across for unisex. The campsite owners are very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, peaceful farm. Stayed the night here camping with our daughter. The shower/toilets are very clean & modern. The farm owner is a lovely lady & very helpful. Prices are reasonable & would defiantly recommend, we will be going back.

Had a great time camping. Just didn't like the slope its on made eating and the children's breakfast difficult would good back though.

Not really happy about mixed toilets/showers. They are extending pitches and if the site gets full they will have to put in more toilet facilities. Very friendly owners.

We stayed in the extremely cute Nuthatch cottage for 3 nights in May. I can’t get over how amazing the cottage was, so happy we booked it! Would recommend to anyone, you really can’t get any better! John and Janet were very thoughtful with flapjack / cookies on entry, very welcoming, showed us all the amenities around the cottage. Absolutely loved the log burning fire and hot tub, they were fantastic ways to relax after a long day around the lakes!

We have now been 5 times, which tells you what we think of the place.
Everytime we return something new has been added to enhance the stay.
Its a great place to be & fully reccomended by us.

Absolutely wonderful place, the owners were so lovely and helpful! You can truly tell everything has been thought about — even the guidebook was written by the owners, rather than the generic one you'd get at a lot of places. It was idyllic, we stayed in the kestrel cabin (hot tub included) and can't believe what good value for money it was! Secluded enough that it felt truly tranquil, but close enough to the rest of the District (along some lovely scenic drives). We will be back! Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Woodpecker Cottage — Just perfect for a holiday in this part of the world. After long days out to the Lakes, mountains, beach, Booths and lovely towns like Cockermouth (Brewery, Ironmongers and The Moon + 6p for superb coffee) Relax in the Hot-Tub and watch the sun go down over the mountains of Scotland — Bliss. Very lovely hosts, and the cottage is very well presented and practical.

Lovely cottages in beautiful surroundings. The owners are so lovely and welcoming. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and we arrived to the best flapjack ever baked! Lovely walks around the farm and I would definitely recommend to anyone as there is so much to do in and around the area.

I stayed overnight as a guest, checked in at approx 4pm. Welcomed very well and it was a lovely drive to the accommodation. The room was very nice and comfortable, there were 2 dogs also, 1 in each room aside Of mine. Both started barking at each other through the walls. That was nice for 30 minutes. One calm, no bother. Lovely to come a place that allows dogs too, could've brought mine if I'd known. The bed overnight was very firm but I had a really results night. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, though the pillow and duvet were like clouds. Breakfast was great and very nice. It was lovely to stay the morning eating breakfast with such a nice country view.

Always and enjoyable stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to get away.

Best campsite ever! The owners are so friendly and helpful and the farm itself has gorgeous views, various accommodation types and very reasonably priced. Enough space between cabins, tents, motorhomes and caravans that overcrowding is never an issue. Big field in middle for children to play happily on as no one allowed to camp on it and the breakfast offered in the B&B part is to die for.

Nice hosts, comfortable beds, good breakfast. We are a family of 4, we took 2 rooms in the farm house and had our own bathroom. The host family was very friendly, telling us the history of the farm.

Lovely B&B. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are large, clean and have very comfy beds. Lovely big bathrooms too. Fantastic breakfasts. Great value for money in a beautiful location.

Lovely little cabin set in a very quiet farm complete with hot tub, patio and BBQ area. The local towns are close and have everything you will need, with Carlisle only 20 minutes away if you're looking for the more high street brands. Theres a little stream running under the property and plenty of walking space near by. Perfect as a base of operations for the lakes or for just escaping away. The only down side with this place is my hopes for a place with zero mobile signal were scuppered when it turned out I still had strong 4G!

Stayed at Wallace farm with my girlfriend in mid may. We booked nuthatch cottage and found it more than spacious for 2 people. If not local to the area a car is a must as the nearest villages are at least 3 miles away, however the solitude and relaxation of the farm makes up for this. Both Windermere and Keswick are less than an hour away by car and Hadrians wall is worth a visit, however the visitor centre is a little expensive for what you get. Nothing better than relaxing in the hot tub after a day behind the wheel, watching the deer play in the adjacent meadow.
Only negative point is the low ceilings within in the cottage. If you are over 6 ft a bumped head is a cert.

Just back from a weeks holiday stayed in Nuthatch Cottage. Excellent cottage everything you could think of Hot tub was an added bonus. There were four of us there me, my hubby, my mum and dad and the way the cottage is laid out you have your own privacy as each bedroom is at opposite end of the cottage and both ensuite. Our two dogs Jag and Rosie had a fab time with a private field for them to run about in they had a ball. Great location for exploring the area and the little village of Caldbeck is lovely with some nice wee shops The pub serves great food and is only 5 miles from Wallace Lane Farm. The owners of the farm were very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this for either a short or long break.

We stayed here for two nights camping. The site is lovely and clean. Pitches are large and well spread out and in general very quiet. The facilities are functional and clean.

Lovely farmhouse B&B with a really homely feel. Beautiful location a definite gem of the lakes. A bit off the usual keswick Ambleside path but worth the 10 minute drive it's way nicer. A local secret :-)

Been 4 times now. A really nice, and relaxing, base to travel from and come back to after a day round the lakes. Great for dogs too.

Wonderful out of the way B&B. Bit far from the center of the lake district, but the owners very exceptionally friendly and the breakfasts were amazing. Would definitely go back again.

Fantastic site to have as a base for exploring the lake district. Whether your in a caravan, tent, cabin, cottage or the BnB. Fasilities are excellent.

This is a very friendly B&B, with great facilities in a beautiful part of the country — all told, I'm looking forward to planning a return trip.
