I arranged to meet my Yorkshire relatives at the Pennine for lunch on a Wednesday. We had never been before but though we'd give it a try. The service was good and friendly. The food was excellent and the beer and wine were spot on too. We will definately meet there again. Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Just had amazing weekend at this hotel, staff excellent, rooms so clean and big everything you need, food is fabulous I give this hotel 10 out 10 I will be returning xx.

Loved the room. Big clean and well presented. Bed is really comfortable. Can't wait to go to sleep but I will have to. Good bar and menu lots of happy customers. Will come again.

Just had a wonderful meal here, the food was incredibly tasty and very well presented! The friendly staff are just the icing on the cake! We sampled the pale ales and wine, which were lovely, but the food was the highlight! Couldn’t recommend the Brie parcels, ham hock terrine and the truffles mac and cheese, enough! They were delicious! Thank you once again.

Just called in for first drink after lockdown felt really safe, hand sanitiser at door screens up and lovely marquee outside with socially distanced tables highly recommend.

A lovely cooked breakfast at the pennine this morning. Great service as always and nice warm atmosphere with the Christmas tree and fire. Thank you for putting up the baby shower decorations for our table — it looked really nice and my friend Stacey loved it!

Room No 3 was amazing! Decorated to a high standard contemporary with a touch of art deco. Lots of thought given to the little things, quality loo roll, the mouse and hole transfer on skirting board brilliant!
Food was delicious and the atmosphere had a relaxed vibe in the bar.
Definitely worth a visit.

We held a Gin Night last Friday in aid of Cancer Research UK. It was well organised and everyone loved it. The staff are amazing as always!

Can throughly recommend the restaurant, food was fantastic cooked fresh by a very attentive cheerful chef, nothing seemed too much trouble. Lovely warm welcome from the staff would definitely go again.

Called in for Sunday lunch. Recommend that you dont have the lamb shoulder. Plateful of fat, tiny amount of meat. Lukewarm meal. £9.95 not impressed.

From the moment we walked into the Pennine Boutique Hotel we were greeted with friendly faces in the bar area, we were offered complimentary tea or coffee when we checked in which was a welcome warm gesture given we arrived in the snow storm, our room was on the top floor (room 7) which I can only describe as perfect, great looking furniture and fittings, Roll top bath gave that luxury feel, the bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up. We spent the evening down in the bar were the drinks were at a reasonable price and the food was outstanding, I recommend the Pie… the staff bent over backwards to make our brief stay one to remember, breaksfast was delicious and plentiful, we will definitely be coming back to see the staff and hopefully stay in room 7 again, thanks to all the lovely staff and customers. See you all again soon.

From the minute we walked in we felt completely at home, if they say the Yorkshire folk are friendly its an understatement. The room was beautiful, the decor was amazing all of high standard and immaculately clean. We loved the food and the ambience in the restaurant/pub and breakfast was great. However all that said it doesn't match what staff can do by remembering the little things like how I like my bacon or helping with road closure information… these guys deserve 10 out 10!

A listed building located centrally in town and recently renovated and furnished to a high standard. Serves great food and keeps a good selection of wines and real ales. Staff very friendly — a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.

Lovely friendly staff, good selection of beers — Corby Blonde is very good. We had lunch here with friends — chilli very tasty & the fish goujons sandwiches n chips was a huge portion of tastiness! Evening meal later with another friend visiting us — we were here for a weeks cottage break — and the food was even better! Pork & rabbit terrine with a tangy piccalilli sauce was yummy. Good chicken liver parfait & arincini balls equally good. Fabulous pie & good old sausage n mash was also great. We love coming here for food and also every evening after a long walk. Our black lab is welcomed every time — she knows which staff will bring the most biscuits! Wish it was our local …
