Very quiet. Great service and decent pub grub. Served with a smile too!

Family and Dog friendly pub. We have just got home from a 4 night stay and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Perfect location for a base camp. Perfect breakfast to set you up for the day. Perfect menu range and more than Perfect portion sizes. Perfect drinks selection. A lovely family run pub with the most friendly of staff. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend and we will be going back. Des and Amanda (Bailey the dog)

By chance we stopped here for Lunch and I'm so glad we did. The staff are extremely friendly, and go above and beyond the ambiance and little touches makes it a really pleasant experience. Loving the background music, especially love the cutlery. As for the food, it was excellent, fresh and perfectly portioned. Simply cannot fault this love establishment.

Excellent food and service by warm friendly staff. Never lets us down when we pop in while passing. Highly recommended.

After almost 2 years passing on our way to the caravan we decided to give this place a try and we weren't disappointed, our Sunday roast was delicious mash and Yorkshire puds top notch and the staff very friendly, definitely be back 👌

We had a lovely Sunday lunch, there was plenty of food and it was delicious! They were very welcoming and accommodating to our little girl who thoroughly enjoyed her dinner! She also loved going to the park on the way out! Thank you!

Theeeeee most delicious home cooked food. We called in purely by chance and when we’re this area it will be our new “go to” Loved it.

Only stopped for a drink after a walk but have been here before for drinks and food. As usual, a friendly welcome and prompt service. Nice to be able to sit outside. Food is good and hearty, plus reasonably priced.

Only stopped on our bikes for a drink in the sun but ended up ordering some sides as as the Sunday roasts looked so good. Service was great and the food was prompt and lovely. Will return.

Brought visiting family & had a wonderful evening at the Gilpin last night. Food was absolutely fabulous as was our lovely host Debbie! No waiting around, no mistakes with our fussy orders, empties removed from the tables in perfect time and the drinks flowed without having to wait to be asked. Just fabulous!

We had a really nice meal at Gilpin Bridge on Saturday. The kids meals were great too and they loved the colouring pencil bags. We will definitely be back. We used our Mycumbria card too so got 10% off the food.

Visited a couple of weeks ago for a Sunday dinner, it was amazing, staff really friendly and chatty, couldnt do enough for you! best sunday dinner ive had by far!

Very friendly attentive staff. Food was excellent served very quickly hot glad we came across this pub on our way back to our accommodation.

We just dropped in to have tea and what a good experience lovely staff and fantastic meal definitely recommend to anyone and we will be coming back soon.

My wife and I only go at lunch time, for health reasons, and we really enjoy the friendliness of the staff and the food which is very good for oldies like us. We recommend eating here it is good food and great value for money give it try, you won't be disappointed we're sure.

Can't recommend this place strongly enough. Really friendly staff and the best meal out we've had in ages. Big 5 stars from me.
