Just got back for two nights in the shepherds hut. It was absolutely fantastic. Loved every minute. Walked to Keswick through St Johns Vale which was around 8 miles got the bus back which is every 30 mins and also a pub 15 minutes walk away. Everything you need in the hut and very warm! Sat out in the evenings with a fleecy blanket. Owner is lovely and helpful but will leave you alone to enjoy the views and peace and quiet.

We stay quite regularly. Our granddaughter simply loves the place. If you don't mind being out of town then give it a try.

We stayed here for the weekend in the dolly wagon its small but perfect and has everything you need bar a TV and signal haha but suited us just fine. The drive from the farm to keswick town centre is beautiful. The hosts are lovely and are very accomodating we will be back here we really enjoyed our stay ☺

Stayed here for one night during a trail running weekend. Host accommodation and breakfast were all fantastic! Felt very welcome on arrival and throughout the stay. Big freshly cooked breakfast. Comfy and homely room.

Helpful friendly hosts, great location, wonderful accommodations, esp. The ground floor apartment. Tasty breakfast. Hiking starts in the backyard, and Keswick is 10 minute drive away, with a pub in walking distance. Honestly, what more could one want?

Stayed in the cozy wee hut out the back. Warm and friendly hosts — nothing was too much trouble. Warmly welcomed and would love to have stayed longer! Gorgeous views, clean and warm (fan heater inside for extra coziness! ). Everything we needed to cook was there. Eggs available on site and we were asked was there any food or drink we needed (milk kindly donated! ) A short stay, but felt at home from the moment we met our hosts. Relaxed and great craic. Excellent value for money! Thank you from the 2 cyclists who stayed for the Fred Whitton!

A warm welcome from the family on this small working farm rooms are warm and cosy. Well placed on the A591 for keswick, windermere and surrounding areas.

We stayed here for a few days, through the Caravan Club (CL Site). Perfect location for walking the Fells and Lakes, with Helvellyn right on the doorstep. Pub just down the road — excellent! The CL site ground is hard-standing tarmac (some grass overgrowth, but not for awnings), so was generally pretty dry to walk on, and only a slight incline in some areas. There's a toilet and a (£1) warm shower. Both clean and a well kept. There are two track entrances to the site, and both were easily accessible whilst towing our 12 foot caravan. There's a slight incline on the immediate entrance to the pitch area, but perfectly manageable for towing vehicles. This is a working farm, so has chickens, dogs, sheep, donkey all on or nearby the site. Expect some noise — it's the countryside ;O) The family are really friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning next year.
