3 Porthminster B&B Bed and Breakfast

Superb accommodation and hosts. Stayed a week in September 2020 and just booked another week. Delicious breakfast with veggie options and homemade veggie sausage. Tastefully decorated throughout and exceptionally clean and comfortable. Centrally located yet quiet. Can’t wait to return!

Just spent 4 nights in this amazing bed and breakfast, John and Lynn work so hard to make you welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The rooms are immaculate and clean, we stayed in room 1 which had the most incredible view over the bay.
The breakfast is superb, Johns poached eggs are lovely and I couldn’t resist them.
Great location — only 5 minute walk to the harbour, Lynn will give you a tip on the back way down to the harbour.
I Cannot recommend this B&B highly enough and we will be back.

Lovely b&b, rooms very light and airy. Breakfast was lovely. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Great location would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely warm welcome, good sized room, brilliant high pressure shower and great location. I loved the yogurt and home made berry compote at breakfast too. Highly recommended!

No 2 is not a B&B. It is an apartment and this is where I stayed, not no 3. It is immaculately clean and very modern, having been redecorated recently. It is perfectly placed to explore St. Ives. The owners have created a haven for visitors, thinking of everything one might need. Milk and tea were waiting on arrival.

Our 4 night stay at 3Porthminster was fantastic and Lynn is a wonderful host. Before our stay there were a couple of emails and her communication was excellent with prompt friendly and courteous responses. We stayed in room 3 which had amazing views of St. Ives and I believe other rooms also have great scenery to look out on. A full English Breakfast was delicious (as well as continental options) and made to order each morning. The location is brilliant. The hill into town is steep but short, and legs get used to them in a day or so. 3Porthminster also offers car parking, and parking in St. Ives can be an issue. It’s a great home base to tour South Cornwall and only a short distance to many local attractions. We would recommend 3Porthminster to anyone considering quality accommodation in the region.

We had a lovely stay with John and Lynn. Beautiful rooms, always lovely and clean, with delicious breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. We arrived early and were welcomed with a cup of tea and chat. We were able to get into our room a little early to get settled. B&B is five minutes walk to the harbour. Very conveniently placed. We were in room 3, which had a lovely view of the harbour. … Would definitely recommend to anybody hoping for a pretty St. Ives stay. We hope to go back next year!

We stayed here for a few days to chill out last week and it was great. Very comfortable, clean, and cosy, with a great breakfast to start the day with. Handy for town, close to the beach, the railway, and the bus. Next time.

Incredibly clean, cosy, and cute B&B. The breakfasts are delicious and it's located perfectly — completely quiet but only a few minutes to walk into town.

Sorry never been there but would love to go as that is where EmilyHobhouse spent her last days after spending so many years fighting for woman and children suffering during and after wars! I think it must be a five star place!

Stayed in may, lovely lady, great rooms, great location with parking could not be any better value for money, first class!

Stayed twice last summer May and August. Wonderful place, the rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be going again next summer!
