Nice big Rooms… nice location… easy to reach station and bus stop. Easy to reach the pub and dining areas… very good breakfast. Overall a very nice experience.

Good hotel, very friendly and polite service. We got a room upgrade as we walked in and the room was good value for the price we paid. The bathroom had couple of not well working bits which seemed at odds with everything else. My favorite feature? High quality bose speaker I could connect with my phone.

Clean hotel with polite efficient staff. Well stocked bar & nice sounding menu. Room air con didn't work so room was way too hot at night.

Room was absolutely boiling hot. Didn't have any sleep. Informed staff of this and told we should have requested a fan! £130 down the drain.

Didn't stay here, I just needed somewhere to grab a coffee and work on laptop whilst waiting to meet a customer nearby and had parked in a car park close-by. Used the toilets too & they seemed decent. Staff were friendly & the restaurant/bar had decent decor/feel to it. Coffee was okay.

First time in a Novotel in the UK and quite disappointed so far. Room clearly hasn't had a good clean for a long time with dust on the shelves and an accumulation in the corners of the room. The carpet has glitter in various places. The sofa has a leather cover at the end which has dirt marks and watermarks. The floor towel in the room had black marks all over it. The whole hotel is incredibly warm and the windows don't open that far. Room has kettle, tea and coffee (including decaf) plus a small fridge with long life milk. There's a small TV and a Bluetooth radio speaker. Bathroom has a single tube of shower gel and shampoo. We have 2 kids in the room with us and the sofa has been converted into beds. Unusually the sofa bed is 2 separate beds which helps keep them apart. There is quite a gap around the edge though which smaller kids could disappear down unless you pack it out with pillows. Wi-Fi is free and seems ok so far. Car parking is under the hotel and is £10 per 24 hours if you get the ticket validated by reception.

We stayed in this hotel on our anniversary. Although we kept this information from the hotel, somehow we were booked to their "champagne" themed room. That was a great little (unintended) surprise. Although we didn't like some of the clients who looked like a gang of teenager drug dealers, with their tracksuits and spitting habits. Overall, it was a good 4* hotel.

Got a good nights sleep despite having room facing main road. Husband went to try sauna next morning and felt our microwave gave off more steam. Where Novotel excels over Premier is in their breakfast offering. Very impressive for the price. Restaurant and lobby areas great. Prices for room service a little high but aren't they always.

We stayed overnight and it is a convenient location. We had our car and we could park under the hotel for £10 per night. It is walking distance to many restaurants and bars. I recommend the 4th floor. The rooms are very tidy with bathrobes. Bar on site and comfortable lounge.

The location is great. Room large. Great beds! Buffet OK. Unfortunately, Porridge must be ordered separately. Everything worth seeing on foot easily accessible.

Excellent hotel, nice restaurant, good breakfast, quiet and pleasant atmosphere in hotel. Close to centre and restaurants. Would recommend a stay here if working or need a central point. Not a romantic hotel. Roadworks / traffic control outside for another year, but does not disturb you once inside the hotel.

Really disappointed with this hotel, paid quite a bit for a two night stay in a superior double (nothing superior about it). Could have got the same quality for a cheaper price elsewhere. Wish I had chosen another hotel for a slightly higher price. Advertisements on their website about what facilities are in the room differ to what is actually in the room. To sum it up, the room was like a bigger version of travel lodge but the higher price of a four star…? Would not recommend or come again.

Nice hotel! I guess the room are a little bit old fashioned, they would need a do-over. But the hotel itself is quite nice. The rooms are large enough and they have a couch. There is a gym, a sauna and a steam room which was very surprising. The breakfast is really nice. You get a wide selection of fruit, British dishes, cereal, etc.

Comfortable accommodation and staff pleasant. Breakfast amazing. However, water not hot enough, bath very small. I am 5 feet tall and weigh 50 kilos and could only just fit in. Plug fitting in bath was loose. Car park exit card did not work easily.

My booking was for an overnight stay, after a late flight to Bristol Airport. From the hotel's end, everything worked perfectly. My e-mail message, to inform of a delay to my flight (and so a later arrival than planned) was answered with a kind and friendly message. On my arrival, everything was ready for me, and the staff on duty were an excellent advertisement for the hotel as a whole — thoroughly professional, while at the same time good humoured and outgoing. The room was all that I required — quiet, well-equipped, comfortable; the bathroom roomy and modern in its fittings. Wifi very good, and took no time to set up.

Close to the center, great advice for dinner.

Quite pleasant, just felt that a few things were missing. I had forgotten toothpaste, all though I was offered someone to go to the shop for Me, I normally find a complementary set which would of been less hassle personally. The bathroom seemed a little rundown for a 4 star. The breakfast was satisfactory, just a little adjusting was required on the food cooking time as the bacon was over cooked and the egg under. The staff were brilliant very welcoming on the desk.

My stay at Novotel Bristol was a relaxed 2 night stay with my 3 daughters. We went to Bristol to see the city and found the location of the hotel to be convenient as a central point to tour Bristol city centre. Although the rooms were slightly dated in style, our 2 connecting rooms were large and comfortable, with 2 Queen size beds in each room. The breakfast and dining facilities were good and the menu really gave my 3 children a nice choice of dishes to choose from. Hotel staff were helpful and professional. We will be back this year to Novotel Bristol.

From check in to check out, everything went smoothly and as expected. The hotel was clean and tidy, good showers (but the shower screen did leak — something that is rarely got right in hotels), and comfortable beds. The breakfast was good, although the toaster should be described as a "warmer", as it didn't really toast. Minor point, as the rest of the breakfast was good. The only down side for me was the car park. It was dark and extremely tight, and not many spaces for hotels guests. Also, there was no step free access from the car park, and as a parent with a buggy, this proved problematic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For what it was, it was a good hotel to stay in.

The only problem, a noise perhaps caused by the air conditioner/heating and the light of the refrigerator that was continuously lit even during the night. I didn't report it because being in the hotel for work I didn't consider it important and I forgot it.

Convenient location to town and the harbourside with a spotless hotel, with modern well specced rooms. Large comfortable bed and an excellent and varied breakfast too!

Great hotel, looks like new but already 5 years old, rooms are comfortable and functional. Staff was friendly Food not to much to choice from but quality and portion was good Wi-Fi was working fine and free for first 24 hours (65 mbps)

It's an average hotel much like most hotels that you are only there to sleep in. The room is nice as expected and the bed more importantly as comfortable. An enjoyable stay as expected.

Was there using one of the conference roomsfor the day. Catering and services that we needed were good.

Very close to the arty district. The rooms are nice and well cleaned. It also has great facilities. I do find paying for parking a nightmare (even though it is as low as £10 per 24 hours) and it is a bit pricey anyway.

The hotel is quite nice, lobby is great and free Wi-Fi throughout. Sadly our room was freezing as the heating had broken, night staff supplied us with a portable heater and gave us free parking and a discount in the morning. Room didn't have a bath which was a shame but stay was OK. Would probably stay again.

Relatively good location, with a short ten minute walk to the centre. Initially provided a dirty room, but complained and then moved to an executive room. Service is good, with people always around to help. Free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.

When we arrived at the novotel, we checked in and the staff immediately tried to upsell us. Several different combinations of room upgrades, breakfasts, etc. Once we were in the room we were pretty happy with the place, though we noticed a very odd stain on the wall — wine, blood, coffee? Over the course of the day and night the room had some very odd smells to it — at one point reeking of cigarettes and later smelling of a bathroom. However neither of these smells lingered. The area around the novotel is unfortunately not the nicest, with my partner and I being harassed on the way home within 50 m of the hotel.

This is a great hotel in a very convenient location, close to Bristol city centre. We stayed in the superior king for 2 nights and the room was clean and spacious. The prices were good, not overly expensive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered room service and the food served is delicious. 5/5 stars.

Amazing hotel, they cant do enough to keep you happy, the food was first class which I was not expecting and its only a short walk to cabbot circus, we really cant rate this hotel enough and will certainly be going back.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast options and we'll prepared food. Excellent Wi-Fi. Located about a mile from the city centre — walkable.

Good hotel and facilities. Location isn't the best as not many shops are in close vicinity. Breakfast was a bit disappoiting and nothing exciting. Bar area was nice and you get free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Room was nice, price reasonable only complaint would've the shower being terrible.

Nice business hotel, conveniently located for Bristol Temple Meads railway station and the city centre.

Great amenities, breakfast was lovely, room even has a Bluetooth speaker and can plug in TV. Hotel managed to get my gender wrong on the invoice though. Water in mini bar is a bit steep though at £2.50 per bottle. Note the room service charge is around £3.

Enjoyed it for the ballon fiesta this year (2014) arrived with two young boys (3 and 5). Great they had a kids area so they could chill an play (thank heavens, as was on, my own) and the room, shower etc was fine and lovely. I would only say charging £3.00 standard fee on anything you order for room service needs a little review as I ordered one beer and nearly cost the same as the beer (totalled to £7.00). I couldn't leave the room as my kids were asleep.

Stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and new year and the hotel was fantastic. Staff welcoming, friendly and the entire hotel was family friendly. My 2 young children were given small teddies on arrival and the lobby has a kids area for all ages. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside is the £10 extra per day parking charge which we were not aware of at time of booking.

Good rates if booked in-time. Rooms are clean and spacoius enough but especially the bathroom already getting a bit long in the tooth. Service is good, staff is very attentive. Food (and drinks) are higher priced but with good quality. Children friendly. The hotel is situated close to the city centre (5-10 min walk) and Temple Meads station but there's no parking nearby, so we had to use the hotel's car park which was at 10 GBP per 24 hrs. Nevertheless, a good place to stay if on a short trip to Bristol, no matter if on business or holiday, alone or with family.

Everyone who works here wants to make your life pleasurable. Rooms (executive) are great and include coffee and internet. We will return here when hitting Bristol again. a few minor things: no shops at all in the vicinity, and the neighboorhood is "dead" at night. Also the hallways are noisy. Ask for a room away from the elevator and u should be good.

I understand Hotels have to make their money and I never expect anything to be cheap but £5 for two small bottles of water? We had no idea as the hotel we stayed in before had free water. £15 internet access was excessive too.

It was such a lovely room, executive room on the top floor, AMAZING bathroom, lovely tv, worth it for the price. Only thing wrong was the now and again smell of weed, smoke and loud shouting from outside your hotel door spoiling your relaxing weekend.
