Reviews of The Red Lion Hotel 3*
Lovely food. Good value. Remember to log your car registration number to avoid astronomical parking fees.
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express but had a meal at the Red Lion — same as I have done previously. Meal good, beer good and service good again. Only problem is the lack of mobile phone signal on both Vodafone and O2. Tip: stand in the middle of the road outside the Red Lion — it worked for me.

Great food but not a lot of it. Popped in for food on our journey home on a Bank Holiday Sunday. The Pub itself is very nice, Rustic and Cozy. It was quiet during our visit early evening so only a couple of Staff who were friendly but attending the few guests that were there. So we had a small wait to be seated and seen to. The food seemed expensive at first glance of the Menu and after a long 4 hour drive we were hoping for some good old fashioned Pub Grub (good price and hearty portions) what we ended up getting was a couple very posh looking but extremely delicious plates. I had the Roast Lamb which was amazing but would not have looked out of place if it was given to a Child and at near 17 pounds I was hoping for a little more than an appetizer. The other half was content but She doesn't eat near as much as I do so be warned if you have an appetite order a Starters, Mains and Desert… and possible have a Snack before hand… and maybe after.
