What a great stay again from the 7th February until the 10th. Great helpful staff, food lovely to. Thanks go to the lady serving the breakfast as she goes above and beyond to make sure you've got everything you need. Our crazy pooch was spoilt and very welcome in the hotel we will be back again soon. Thank you. Claire and shaun.

The room was lovely as well as the cleanliness it was spacious and the hotel ideally suited for visiting sights in the area. Great staff and very reasonable prices. Food is of a great quality.

Have just enjoyed a really cute afternoon tea here with my Mum & my Daughter. The staff were really friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The selection of cakes and sandwiches was great (I really enjoyed the little sausage roll bites) other meals we saw being bought to other tables also looked really tasty so we will definitely be back to sample the full menu! Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Lovely full English brekkie here this morning and great service. Restaurant been set up with all distancing in mind but has a really nice atmosphere. Got a home made cake to go too! would defo recommend.

Only here for one night, had a nice dinner in the Frog, a few pints and watching the football listening to some class tunes. Next time I would ask work to stay here.

We attended a wedding reception yesterday at the Swan. We just wanted the thank Wendy and all her staff for the warm welcome and care. Both my daughter and I have dietary issues but this was dealt with amazingly. Thank you for such a lovely day and evening.

Good nights sleep on second floor at front. A good stay, would recommend and would definitely stay again.

We come here every year for the British Grand Prix. It very clean and comfortable would absolutely recommend.

Only stayed one night with work, but a well presented traditional British style hotel. Rates seemed good, bathroom was modern and decoration was good. Breakfast was fine and staff curtious.

Real old fashioned style hotel that shows class. As soon as you walk into it. I enjoyed it very much and would change a thing about it myself. But like all things in life it's a case of what your looking for in a hotel.

It was the first time I went there with my Mum as part of her church. We were part of a group of 18. The staff that evening were very friendly and polite. The service was fast and on time. The meal was lovely — compliment to the chef. Will definitely go back there again.

Very tired, very dated. The toilets in the room have a terrible aroma. I would not stay here again and I stay in at least 2 hotels per week. Breakfast was not great either with items not available off the menu. The staff all seem OK apart from the pig ignorant young receptionist. When I complained she said "oh, can I have your card"?. The place needs gutting or knocking down and starting again. Highly not recommended. Next time I would upgrade by sleeping rough on the streets.

Booked a superior room through expedia. Room was large, bright, clean and full of character. On booking, reception professionally and promptly advised that hotel parking wouldn't be available owing to a special event, but provided an acceptable alternative. Breakfast was self serve: pastries, juice choice, cereals; endless tea and coffee delivered to the table. Hot breakfast sausages, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, scrambled egg, and beans. Cooked in small batches with regular refills, so everything was fresh. Downside was that at peak times, not all items were available at the same time. Would have liked to have been offered the option of a friend egg, but otherwise a nice fresh breakfast in comfortable surroundings. Friendly, polite, unprofessional staff. Would recommend.

Lovely old victorian building, lots of character but not too dated. Welcoming staff despite my 2.30am check-in! Cooked breakfast was delicious.

Food delicious, 2 of us had roast beef, it was perfect! I had the salmon, very tasty and filling.

Really nice place to stay. Staff really friendly and helpful, meals are just as good. They only reason it hasn't had more stars was my fork was dirty 2 nights in a row so had to wash it before eating. Fix this and will change review on next stay.

The staff were very friendly and the room was well kept and spacious with a comfortable bed. They were very helpful about highlighting vegan breakfast options, but there was nothing vegan on the dinner menu, this would be a welcome addition as I ended up going somewhere else but would have preferred to eat in. The location was good for my purpose, but the carpark is small, so I ended up parking on street in front, which is free overnight, but you need to leave by 08:00, keep this in mind if you're staying for anything other than business.

Great bar, really cosy and family friendly. Staff were great and really nice.

Had Mums surprise 80th birthday meal there yesterday lunchtime… 31 of us and Wendy and her team were fantastic on the day… nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic. Good sized meals. Hot and tasty… no complaints from anyone… would recommend the Swan anytime.

Room was small and very noisy. Shower wasn't cleaned regularly either. Breakfast was however very good and reception staff helpful and polite.

Stayed in room 110. Beautiful room. I stay here often and all rooms are lovely. But this one was huge so much space it was lovely. Breakfast was lovely too.

I stopped by The Frog and Nightgown for my weekly dose of disappointment to watch Newcastle play "football". I had a few beers, the selection was small but good. The bar staff were very friendly. Didn't have any other drinks but there was a large selection of Gin.

This hotel is simply wonderful, even though I only arrived the night before. Super nice owner and staff. Charming period building with very comfy rooms and facilities. The breakfast is to die for — delicious and plenty of it. The location is on the main high street of the charming town of Newport Pagnell, just a 15 mins bus ride to Milton Keynes and MK railway station. This place is a must stay for visitors to this are.

Had a fantastic New Years eve party.
The food was excellent, well organised with a casino and disco.
All the staff worked very hard to make it a night to remember.
Finished off with a lovely over night stay in a comfortable room with a superb breakfast.

Ate in the attached pub, food was expensive for what you got and they have fallen in to the current trend of not serving food on plates. Service was OK but quite a long wait considering it was not that busy. This ING right in front of it so s a tiny space only 7/8 tables, ended up with a table by the door, and when I say by the door some were sitting right 8n front so were treated to a blast of cold air every time it was opened.

I organised a surprise 70th birthday party here for my mum and it went brilliantly! All the staff are so accommodating and friendly. Many of our party stayed at the hotel too and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. Newport Pagnell has lots of interesting little shops and places to potter around. This hotel lends itself perfectly to family celebrations and I would definitely love to organise another party here again!
The restaurant was also very flexible when we booked a table for 18 the next day! The restaurant manager was very kind, attentive and helpful.

What's great about the Swan Revived is that it gives you 'a little bit more'. Yes the rooms are better/different, yes the food is excellent, and yes the atmosphere is all you would expect from a hotel steeped in history. I've used it for all those things many times — but there are other pluses too … as a place to meet business contacts over coffee, a bar to seal the deal with a glass or two, or the use of a fully-equipped conference room for larger events. Like I say, it's a place that comes with a little bit more!

Went there for a function. Staff were very helpful to help with our sons dietary requirements.

Stayed here for one night sat 16th september 2017. Was going to book ramada. L was meeting some old friends from years ago and needed to be near the pub where we were meeting. When l looked on the map the swan revived was across the road from the canon pub where l needed to be. L booked it for that reason, no taxis needed, parking easy. When l arrived, nice welcome and l was really happy about the lovely double room. Very comfortable bed and pillows, my wife was delighted. Nice bar downstairs good breakfast. L would 100% stay here again in the future. Whenever you book a hotel you are always a bit aprehensive but l took a chance mainly for the location but really loved it. Well done to all the staff. Thank you.

A lovely characterful hotel/restaurant/bar. We only stopped for a cup of tea/coffee enroute to London but would like to visit again.

We celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary here yesterday with a party of 34 friends and family. The whole day was a truly enjoyable occasion helped by the venue. The food was first class and enjoyed by everyone as was the service. We have used The Swan for many years for family occasions and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for making the day special for us!

I stopped into the Frog and Nightgowm, The Swan's pub, for a few drinks last night. Nice cozy atmosphere, good selection of food and friendly staff. Would definitely go again.

Went for gig in the marquee at the swan, so comments really only applicable for that. The night was clearly popular and a great idea, plenty happening with refreshments, food and entertainments. Bar was very busy but well staffed so you can't complain, only pity was some doors in and out were locked so it was a pain getting to the loo via the rammed bar. Otherwise good Jon swan.

As a family we have used "The Swan" restaurant for many years (20+)
I think it's time for a refurbishment — the décor seems tired and worn.
We went for a family meal on mothers day. The meal was acceptable but the staff seemed under pressure.
Simple errors like no apple sauce (that was on the menu as part of the meal) was not served with the meal ~ not a real problem, we asked for it and some time later sauces were served by another member of staff ~ but not apple. A disgruntled waiter brought the apple sauce after a further delay.

Mega-eaten, super ambience!

The hotel is a bit old fashioned for example having a washbasin in the bedroom. That said it is pretty comfortable with a good breakfast and a comfy bed. I'll stay again. Hotels around Milton Keynes are quite expensive, in many parts of the country it would never command the prices it does.

Single room was really small and felt a little like a bedsit. Friendly staff and good breakfast but too expensive over all.

Probably the best breakfast I've had for some time. Lovely building great character, staff are very friendly. Our room needed bit of updating but bed so comfy, for the price great value for money.

Had an excellent meal last night the chips were perfect the starter was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste, the Friday steak and wine deal is not to be missed plus live music every other week on Fridays possibly the best place to eat in Newport Pagnell.

A very disappointing visit. I had booked a evening table for a large group of friends, once I arrived music was so loud before I had even entered the building. Children were screaming and playing all over the floor, felt I had walked into a playground. At the bar when we ordered drinks for a large amount of people I was then told they were not accepting card payments that night only cash. I think the hotel should of phoned us before hand to make us aware. In the restaurant the staff was not friendly. The A la carte menu advertised on the website was actually a pub menu (burgers, scampi, Chill con carne). We ordered King Prawns for starters — No garlic butter sauce with them, just plain nothing else with them. They had a very strong smell, once opened the prawns they were brown inside. We told the staff that they were gone off and pointed the obvious concerns, once she returned from the kitchen she said they were fresh in that morning. In all my life this is the worst hotel I've ever been too. I was so embarrassed to had taken my friend to such a terrible place. Please take my advice, avoid.

This hotel has history and provides a unique old world English countryside experience. The hotel does have modern tv, and there is a very weak Wi-Fi/Internet available. It sits right in the heart of Newport Parnell, with a many local old English pubs within walking distance. There's also many restaurants, grocery stores and cafés nearby. Definitely deserves staying here, if you're not into modern Milton Keynes.
