I had a party there and the staff were excellent.

The MOST comfortable beds in the suite rooms, great welcome and the wine isn’t too bad either!

I've stayed at Harben House twice now on a stitching retreat and I cant fault it. Staff are very helpful and pleasant and food is nice. Cant wait to come back for April 2020

Reception staff were friendly and went out of their way to help me. They stored my bike for me and even came back from a break to show me where to put it.
My room was perfect. Clean and tidy with everything you need.
I would definitely stay again.

I believe that garden house is a fantastic hotel, however I come here on business, every time there is fantastic service and a lovely room, except the rooms always have a problem, some larger than others, one such unforgivable think is that almost every time (at least 9 stays of a week) under the bed has not been cleaned, food, dust, dirt, tissues and other grim things have been found under the bed. The showers are lovely, but lots of complaints about them leaking, bathmat provided mostly sorts this problem out, however the shower head holder does not stay in place and slides down on my current visit.
For the average customer I would guess the rooms are perfect, but for my business they skimp out and whilst the service is the same (lovely and brilliant staff) the rooms are not cleaned maintained properly and the complaints feel like there never fixed
My I repeat I have stayed 9 times for a week, however this is a business booked hotel for me so corners will have been cut.

Rooms are a bit weird as in shower outside bathroom but clean and bright rooms. Very friendly helpful staff.

Met a friend here this afternoon for coffee with our 2 boys. The service was fantastic nothing was to much trouble. My little boy who is 16months decided to go for a wonder and the receptionist was so lovely and chatted to him.

Another amazing long weekend nothing is ever to much trouble and all the staff are amazing can’t wait for October to hen we return.

We had our wedding reception here last night and was amazed by the friendly, helpful and kind staff. Nothing was too much trouble. A really lovely hotel and very stylish interior. We love Harben House! Great food too.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea! Staff were very polite and even took some photos for us food was good and we were told what we had in our sandwiches!
Very large glass of Pimms which was fab!
A truly great deal, this is our second visit and will definitely be coming again well worth the money!

Modern hotel however it’s not situated in the best location and a little confusing to find the entrance as it is in a residential road. The large meeting rooms lacked air conditioning (or it was broken) and since they are on the top floors it did get rather hot. The bathrooms were not in the best shape either, however the cafe was nice and had lovely views, but there was no one behind the counter?

Nice stay in a well situated hotel. Comfortable rooms and food was nice. Excellent for work visits.

Good clean comfortable rooms. Each room has Wc. Shower. Water basin. Clean towels and soap supplied daily. Large Double bed comfortable with good quality pillows. Quite rooms with Tv and Air Co and fan Fantastic service and price. Friendly willing to help as required.

This is a middle-of-the-road hotel that tries hard but doesn't quite make it. The room I stayed in was just too small for everything. Two single beds in a room that had barely enough space for one and the bed that I chose to sleep in rolled away from the wall if I sat up to read. Bathroom equally small with the toilet a couple if inches from the wall and no shelf to put my toiletries on. No bath only small shower. Cupboard no quite deep enough for my suit to hang in and nowhere apart from the spare bed to place my case on. Corridor outside had a strange acrid smell. Good points: young enthusiastic staff, lots of food provided, iron and board in room, efficient a/c, plenty if towels, easy check in/out (but room key didn't work on first attempt so it meant a long walk back to reception to get it fixed). No soya milk but plenty of almond milk for those who forego milk.

A great value hotel with clean, good standard rooms restaurant and bar and great parking. The breakfast was fine. I probably wouldn't pay a tenner again and instead head to Out of the Office Coffee just up the road.

Great place which has recently been refurbished. The staff are enthusiastic and polite. A special mention to Becky who kept me supplied with quality coffee whilst I was working at a reasonable price too!

Room bigger than the photos on the website suggest. Nice plus. Good having on-site parking but car park spots are very tight. Food was very good.

Only went to the bar for happy hour which is 5 to 7 every night. Some ok options for beers but there are a few good gins if that's your thing. Wouldn't recommend outside of happy hour as its fairly expensive but it's a nice, quiet and relaxed place if you want to avoid the busier pubs.

This doesn't even deserve one star. This is THE WORST three star hotel I've stayed in by far. The list of grievances:
1) It seems all rooms have insufficiently long curtains. The windows are half-length (so the sill is above the bed) but the curtains don't go below the sill so while they're black-out style, all the light comes in underneath!
2) There's no carpets either, as the shower door opens into the room.
3) When I asked to switch rooms for the second night (I was attending a two day event at the hotel), there was no apology.
3) The new room not only had the infamous curtains (as did others attending the event) but no door to the bathroom so no privacy whatsoever if sharing with a partner (thankfully I wasn't).
4) No shampoo in either room; only shower gel. Basically everything in the room is cheap: the smallest bathroom sink, the smallest table bolted to the wall, the cheapest chair, no door on the wardrobe, no mini bar, no safe.
5) The event organiser had told the hotel that Wi-Fi and power points would be needed for 80 people. Power points for less than a quarter of the room were provided.
6) I booked my room late so the event deal including breakfast had gone so I booked a room without breakfast, as they were asking for £20 extra a night just for breakfast!

Unexpectedly good! Amazing value for money with excellent food and friendly staff. Room was small but well equipped and spotless. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent quality. I’d recommend.

Horrible experience! Arrived the door lock didn’t work neither did bathroom light. Complained to receptionist she ‘you will have to deal with it for now’. Shocking customer service did even offer a solution not a repair or a new room. A manager even walked past and heard her say that and said nothing. Also really outdated room with poor Wi-Fi not worth there extortion prices. Overall didn’t enjoy my experience here if you find another hotel I’d go for that one. never again would give 0 starts if I could!

Great venue for a short, economic weekend conference. Value for money. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Clean and modern. Food is good for the price.

The gym was good. The bed was comfortable. The reason it is not 5 stars is because the towel smelt, I did mention this on the feedback form so I presume they have sorted this problem out.

Refurbished hotel now virtually everywhere with plenty of polite staff. The hotel gives an impression of modern luxury. A hotel that is trying hard to be successful and am sure will get there as the word gets around. Food although limited menu was excellent. Best curry and fish pie we have had for many a year. Although drinks are a tad get expensive there is a 2 for 1 happy hour from 1700 to 1900. Rooms comfortable with air conditioning. Understand there will be gym facilities in the future.

The place looks nicer inside than the exterior. Lovely accomodation, professional staff and great service. Great for conferences and meetings.

Been here many times as family member stays here due to business needs. Dull concrete carbuncle, made up for by up to date interior. Adequate parking. It's in Newport Pagnell? Apart from being close to the M1 I still don't get it. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.

I went for a conference. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a bit on the small side. Good food though.

Amazing hotel only down to the amazing staff. I hope they get well recognised for all their work and effort.

The place is a maze and nothing that myself or the 15 strong team of people I was with could do to easily find our way around. Food was average and the staff also. Nothing jumps out as great here im afraid. It's worth noteing that there was building works in progress so many some of the above issues are being addressed.

I liked it, but I had no significant issues in my room. Some of my colleagues had to take cold showers on our first morning. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The only real concern for me was their highly restrictive approach to meal times in comparison to other hotels in the same bracket.

Room on the small side but very comfortable. Staff amazing from receptionist to room staff to waiting/bar staff. We had booked using Groupon so our stay was a total bargain. Had a problem working out the heating in the room so they gave us a free standing heater. Hotel still being updated so some work going on. Bed and bedding was excellent as were the pillows and towels.

Such a disappointment. First room smelt like sewers (201) so asked to be changed. Second room (127) was freezing as A. C. Was broken so asked to be changed again. Room 137 was ok but we did take portable heater from 127 to ensure we were warm. Only provided towels for 1 person even though there were two of us. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Room was dusty and unwiped. In restaurant asked for bottle of rose but they had run out of all rose. Hallways were freezing. Thank God we got it at a discounted price and even then was over priced for standards here. Don't really cater for vegans either. Won't recommend or return. Only plus side was the staff. They were patient and accommodating.

Attended their re launch event and got to stay overnight. The common areas as well as the experience in the bar and restaurant has certainly improved and the bedrooms have been refreshed with a modern style décor. Definitely worth considering when doing a business trip in the area, a great balance between price and quality with free parking and excellent transport links.

Excellent service, come here regularly for a break away from the family once a week and if you book in advance you can find a room as low priced as 19 pounds, yes it is basic but you still get your own bathroom with the room and a TV, also its a nice safe area so if im going out at night wearing my most expensive Jewellery and a nice dress I wont get raped lol that was an extreme example luckily NP is not Fishermead.

Good room, though only fit for a hobbit as the shower rose is only usable for someone under 5'4inches. Room was tiny and clearly they were doing some work on the hotel as the smell of paint fumes left me with a feeling of nausea and headache.

A nice hotel but when we arrived we was told that our rooms didn't have any heating in them due to refurbishments being done. We then had to ask for a little heater for our room as it was freezing! Whilst checking out the lady on reception didn't ask how our stay was.

TL, DR; rooms unacceptable, staff friendly, food decent. Arrived to find that they were in the middle of a building project, which meant that (1) most of the rooms didn't have heating, (2) there's was no hot water in the mornings, (3) multiple (fire? ) alarms went off every morning and (4) various parts of the building just seemed like they were building sites. The staff were friendly, but multiple times seemed unable to restock when asked (multiple water coolers ran out, hand towels in the bathrooms, etc). On top of all that, they had the nerve to increase the price without asking. Only ~£4/head, but when you're there with a group of 60, that makes a difference! Was not impressed with Harben House Hotel — would give 1.5 stars if possible, but since not I'm being generous and giving 2.

Possibly the smallest room I have ever stopped in. Phoned reception to state I didn't book a compact room to reply it's OK we won't charge you more! Erm… If anything is expect a refund for false advertising. Apparently I'm in a newly refurbished room and this is the biggest they do. No heating or cooling working, shower won't go hot, corridors stink. Good job this is only for one night otherwise I would be out of here! Paid 110 for one night and to be honest this site some place I'd probably only stop on a boys night out. Price tag on this should be 60 absolute maximum. This is coming from someone that stops away in hotels weekly. I don't like to leave a bad review.

We had a friend in an upstairs room and he said it was quite nice, however our room had an extensive black mould infestation with a very strong smell (the air freshener hidden behind the closet did nothing). Sheets were dirty, with blood and sweat stains on the pillowcases which looked quite fresh! Communal areas were lovely, great breakfast facilities. Shame about the rooms, which looked like they had jumped straight out of the 70's.

Stayed here for a weekend, the hotel was ok, nothing to rave about but service was good. However the walls are paper thin and I could hear the groans of the couple next door having the time of their life.

Decent! Considering some reviews I've heard about. Having major building and redecorating done at the moment so hopefully will be even better soon!

Until this place gets serious refurbishment, do not visit! Dated, musky rooms and general feeling of a budget hotel, but not at budget prices. Only reason it gets a 2nd star is the friendly and helpful staff — they're making the most of the card they've been dealt!

Food was good and cake was delicious. The refreshments were great and lots of fruit available. The cake was very yummy and a good coffee machine. My only thing I did not like was the lack of air and air-conditioning. Hardly and windows opened and it was very stuffy.

Really nice bar area. Must say the nachos was amazing best ive had! (And I love nachos so alot of competition) only bad thing was room was very small for a double room. Luckily was solo felt like I was in a box. But clean tidy and nice staff. 4/5

Friendly Staff at reception, I find the rooms are cheapest in Milton Keynes when they are not fully booked, the food and room service is good, its conveniently located on Tickford road, which means I can get to the M1 junction 14 and the Milton Keynes city center fairly quickly.

Attended for a meeting, everything was as expected! Meeting rooms were spacious and we'll serviced. The facilities are maintained to a good standard.

Ok. Needs refurbishment. Wi-Fi doesn't work.

In error I thought we had already booked a colleague into Harben House Hotel this evening. But when he arrived at the hotel they said there was no reservation and they were full. He called me, I went online and booked it immediately, rang the hotel, told them the reservation number, and hey presto, he is given a room. Unfortunately my colleague described it as a lousy room, with used gum around the headboard — the worst he has ever been in. Upon complaining to the reception, they only apologised but did nothing. Cleanliness of housekeeping and willingness to put things right should be a given. De Vere what do you say to this? And what are you planning to do to improve the cleanliness?

Got the room for 30 quid and was pleasantly surprised especially to discover there was a free sauna and a gym so I proceeded to drag my beautiful wife in the sauna for a night of skullduggery.
