Not even a 5 star plus hotel will treat you better! Melodie is so supportive and friendly, this lady at the reception desk is just incredible! I will definitely come back every time I am in Portland because I got the best service ever, she got solutions to my problems, much better than what I had asked for! Instead of giving me the address of the store I wanted which would be closed, she asked what I wanted to buy and on her own initiative called the store she knew to see if they had the product on stock, got me free transportation there and made sure I got the best possibility to return to the hotel. She actually deserves 10 stars!

Stayed here for three nights for a conference and would happily stay again. I was especially impressed by the wait staff in the restaurant. They were incredibly friendly, professional, helpful, and quick to accommodate any question or request. The meals came quickly and so did the check, respectful of time-crunched travelers. The room was comfortable, and the microwave and mini fridge were a handy addition. Also I highly recommend spending some downtime in the little courtyard off the lobby. It was quiet and lovely with hanging plants and shaded outdoor couches.

There was a rod sticking out of the bed as if they used the wrong frame. We all have bruises from hitting it as the thing was covered by bed sheets. Front Desk seemed hectic, an alarm was going off, the lady was rude. Our last night I stood there after getting back from dinner and had to wait for a good 5 min while the front staff of 3 to finish their story. The valley was nice, restaurant was good, overall not a good experience.

We had an incredible stay here at Crown Plaza. Athena specifically went above and beyond to make sure that our Anniversary stay was perfect. We had a city view room, which was beautiful, clean and had lots of extras that made our stay more comfortable. The pool was nice and the hot tub great after a long day of travel. The breakfast buffet was great and the French toast was amazing. The shuttle service was great, we were able to get to all the places downtown that we wanted to! We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend this to a friend!

A bit fair from downtown but close to Lloyd center and some fast-food restaurants. Go to Pine State Biscuits if you have time. The hotel does offer shuttle service within a certain radius.

We came. We stayed. Caught the shuttle. Nice. Close to food. Bars. Room was amazing. It was clean and the bed was very nice. Shower was amazing. Amenities galore. Nice pool area.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Close to the convention center. Rooms come with aroma therapy kits and shampoo/lotion/etc. That are nice. The only hotel room I've stayed in that has a recycling bin.

Beautiful hotel! Gave us a free upgrade due to unavailability of rooms. Great pool. Great views. Very friendly staff. Love love love this hotel! Only downside was very limited self parking. They rent out parking spaces during events forcing you to pay for valet.

Me and a friend decided to book Crowne Plaza due to its proximity to the Moda Center, since we were planning to catch a Portland Trailblazers basketball game. The hotel has a great location, with a nearby gas station to fill up and grab some snacks. The room was very clean and welcoming and everything was working great. It even included a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The service by the front desk staff was great and very attentive! The service at the downstairs restaurant was nice, but rather slow and inaccurate with our orders. The food was expensive and very bland, however we decided to eat there since there doesn't seem to be many great restaurant options nearby within walking distance.

This was our first family getaway since the birth of our son, about a year ago. We went the self park option, and I actually forgot where we parked. The vallet staff went out with me, and walked through the quite large parking lot until we found my car. The woman checking us in overheard my husband saying how much he loved the bridges and she gave us a room with a spectacular view in between 2 bridges, and a beautiful skyline. The pool was lovely, my son adored being able to kick and splash freely. The only downside we experienced was being right next to the stairwell going outside, which was used frequently all through the night. It really didn't bother me, so much as my husband since he's a light sleeper. Overall I would say we had a wonderful 2 night stay.

A little dated, but still nice. Excellent pool and sauna, nice workout center. Breakfast Buffet is $15, but really good. Near to train, you can ride to downtown or airport for $2.50

Here for a work training seminar. This place is very nice. The linens are fresh and crisp. The room is well thought out and nicely comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant. Very satisfied with the portion size and quality. Going to recommend to family for in town stays.

The Hotel is located far from everything, In industrial area. Not include breakfast. We arrived late night and received a room falling right on the parking lot (so bad) can't open the widow"s curtains for luck of privacy. Room is small for two. We bump with each other. Unless, one sit and one move. Also, not enough light inside during evening time. And, for this 'lovely' Welcome, we paid $264 a night! Don't be fool like us! Very disappointed.

Pretty easy check in process. Non Oregon residents be ware — you'll be charged with a few BS taxes and fees that'll raise your total bill. My cost for a 1 night stay went from an advertised $120 to about $150. Room is nice enough. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was fine. There's no toothpaste for whatever reason so I had to call the front desk and a very cranky security guard had to bring it up.

I love everything about this hotel from the staff all the way to the plush pillows on the king sized beds. Clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The van drivers will take you to or pick you up from certain places if they're available. One of the best I've experienced so far.

The only problem was a yogurt that was expired by 2 months. I would give eveything else 5 Stars. The desk clerks, room service, and the shuttle service was top notch. I would 100% recommend to anyone coming to Portland to stay there. Just check your dates. Said with a laugh!

Loved to this hotel! Room service was quick and food was hot and delicious. The restaurant had great options for breakfast, including the breakfast bar. All in all, we had a great stay here.

The stay at the Crowned was one of my wife and I best memories. The whole staff acted as if they personally owned the place. We were treated as royalty. And the motel its self was gorgeous.

Was able to get a cut rate room off the internet with short notice. Couldn't have been more pleased. We stayed here to go to an NBA game and it was within walking distance. The room was very clean and comfortable all of the staff we interacted with was very nice. The food in the restaurant was adequate. Love staying here would stay again with no problems.

Right across the river from downtown and also really close to the cool neighborhoods of North Portland. The beds are super comfy. They have a secured key entry which is nice for the neighborhood.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Location was great as it is near the center Portland so not too far from everything. The Esplanade is a short 15min run away, which has a great path for running and biking. I also recommend Pine State Biscuit/Sizzle Pizza, which is a 5min walk north.

Don't make the mistake of booking here for the shuttle service. Everything else was great for the most part, but getting a shuttle was way more difficult than originally advertised. We were forced to take a cab twice (including the initial pick-up from the airport! ) and use public transportation a few times due to no shuttle being available. Would have rather stayed somewhere else and saved the money to put towards better transportation means.

Great hotel in the heart of central close in Northeast Portland. If you're looking for a great Hotel with fabulous rooms and lovely beds this would be the one. From here you can jump onto the trolley on to the max drive your own car and be anywhere in downtown PDX within 5 minutes. It's not a diamond in a rough draft because it's been around for a long time it's a grand old lady that's been well cared for wait staff Hotel staff in general very well managed helpful and nice.

Great place with respectful employees willing to help. The room I’m in is angled and it’s set up weird with how the door opens to the rest of the room but otherwise it’s nice. The AC is powerful and definitely cold when it’s cold and hot when it’s hot. Overall great place.

Just your standard, nice hotel. Super friendly, responsive staff, too. I'd rate four stars but for the fact you have to pay for parking (and it's not cheap — $20 per day).

I was here only for a work function in one of the conference rooms. The hotel may look old on the outside, but the interior was very nice and seemed recently redone. The conference room in particular was well appointed, with a large TV for presentations and comfortable chairs.

Good location, central to everything we needed during our visit. Nice and clean rooms. I would recommend it to anyone I know. Good restaurant in the hotel.

Excellent staff. Nice restaurant with decent prices. Great for small conventions or weddings. They had a wonderful Ballroom that was perfect for three to five hundred guests. The rooms were clean and nice and well-designed. The inside looks and feels much more high-class than the outside. The outside was a bit of a let-down. The parking lot is monitored with cameras and the area is a bit sketchy so I would recommend parking near one of the cameras just in case and taking anything of value in with you to the hotel. There is also a little Boutique chocolate shop within walking distance that makes a great little trip if you're wanting to get something sweet.

Area was nice. There's enough street parking outside. Food was pretty good was actually surprising. Employees were really nice and helpful. Would attend the location again.

Great alternative site for convention guests as well as a great location for visiting families. 3 blocks from the convention center, across the street from the Street Car and 5 minutes from downtown, it's a great location. Lots of rooms, pool, basketball court and ample meeting space. Don't underestimate the Cafe, the food there is fantastic! A little something for everyone with varied price points, the food is high quality, using locally sourced ingredients where possible and very tasty.

At first when I stayed here I thought it was a nice place. We grabbed a few drinks at the bar, talked with the bartender who was really friendly, and washed our laundry upstairs. When it was time for bed, I could not sleep because the AC was not working. We opened the windows but it was still extremely hot and could hear all the loud cars driving by. The AC was blasting at 60 degrees constantly, but it would not cool down. When we called hotel management, all they could do was give us an electric fan to plug into the wall. We went to the ice machine to get ice and it was broken with no ice coming out. Eventually, we ended up taking care of the situation ourselves and removed a dirty air filter from the ceiling and magically it started to cool off. If this place was clean and regularly had an AC service once a year this wouldn't have been an issue in the first place. Parking also costs $20 per day.

Very easy to find location when driving north on i-5. Reasonably priced parking fee to park in the lot around the hotel. As a convention center it runs on the smaller side but still ample space for up to 1000 people. I didnt stay the night. Either one of the hot water kettles had dirt in it and floaty stuff (not tea) seen in mugs after pouring.

Great location and friendly staff (especially Shea at the bar)! The pool is amazing! Does not have an executive floor like some Crowne Plazas do unfortunately. The shuttle service was pretty good, but oddly they only pick you up to bring you to the hotel, not to take you back. All in all, would stay there again.

Good food for the luncheon event I was at. The conference room was not too cold or too hot. They had a free shuttle and was willing to take me back to work no question about what room I was in.

The hotel was pretty good. Nothing special. They didn't do anything wrong. I would stay with them again. Location is within walking distance to the moda center. It is only a 10 minute walk so this hotel is great if you are coming for an event at the moda center. I came for an NBA basketball game. Clippers vs Trail Blazers.

My stay was great. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The need was large and soft with very comfortable sheets. I would highly recommend stayimg here if you have business in the area.

Dave, the head engineer there is the best! Love working with him. It's a great place to stay, and they have a salt water pool! Can't beat that.

Rooms are a bit outdated by Crowne Plaza standards, but comfortable and amazing room service.

Over priced for a hotel like that. First I reserved a room. Showed up to find out I had to pay for parking which they did not tell me this over the phone. Told me it would be around $138 for the room and ended up charging my card $180. Good thing I had money in my account to cover it. Got up to the room and the toilet was clogged. Go down to pool and you have to rinse yourself off before getting in the pool with ice cold water because for some odd reason there was no hot water. Hot tub did not work. Bed was hard as a rock, pillows sucked and housekeeping had to knock on the door at 8 am and keep coming back every hour when check out was at noon. Horrible. Next time I will stay at the Holiday Inn.

We did not have a good experience with Crown Plaza or booking through Expedia on a recent trip to Portland for a convention. The front desk never mentioned a charge for parking. I assumed that the hundreds of dollars we spent on this hotel would have included parking rights for 12 hours, guess not. The room was noisy, over-looked the freeway and the place was a mess when we got there. The front desk had that nose turned upward look, not welcoming and friendly like other hotels in Portland we stayed at. Certainly would not stay here again. The Courtyard by Marriott was much better, cleaner, less expensive, and more friendly.

Staying at this hotel is always a great experience! Our most recent visit was no exception. From the moment we pulled in early, until the moment we had to check out, everything was PERFECT! This is a busy hotel — always booked and often hosting a wedding on weekends, but you'd never know it by the special attention they give to EVERY guest! The property is always meticulously clean; the ENTIRE staff is second to none. Our days in Portland are always busy! No better way to unwind than soaking in their INCREDIBLE salt-water hot tub, then back to the room for aroma-therapy and a great night's sleep on amazingly comfortable beds! Can't wait to go back again. And again, and again!
