⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Great stay. Room was very clean and spacious. I was very pleased to have a Coffee Maker in my room. 2 weeks ago I stayed in another hotel that had no coffee maker in the room, no coffee in the lobby, and all the Coffee Shops within a one block Area only offered $6 coffees and would not accept cash. So having free coffee in my room was a HUGE Bonus!
The desk staff was super friendly, as was the Valet Staff. Probably the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in, in Portland!
The room also had an amazing shower that if I could've pack it in my suitcase, I would have!

Quiet, relaxing and centrally located.

$45 valet parking is for the birds. $200 for a four night stay is ridiculous.

Awesome place right in the heart of Downtown Portland.

I was very well pleased with this clean, modern hotel with a 24/7 helpful staff! (From the doorman to the housekeepers). I would definitely stay here again! Great location and in walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the variety of “Food Trucks” was more that one could imagine! I ❤️ my stay here!

We stayed at the hotel this weekend and was deeply dissatisfied by the customer service from this establishment. Unfortunately our rooms were not ready at the check in time and we had to wait nearly an hour to get into one of our rooms. While I understand things happen and that sometimes special requests are difficult to meet, I find it amazing that the staff made no efforts to make things right. There was no compensation to the room rates, no offering of beverages while we had to wait the hour to get into our room, nothing. As a result of the delay in getting into our room we were 30 minutes late to our dinner reservation and nearly lost our table.
When we made requests (that were very reasonable) these requests were either not fulfilled or took an ungodly amount of time to complete.
On a positive note, our rooms were clean and decent. If it wasn’t for the poor customer service I would have considered staying there again.

Edit, after this review I was contacted and they apologized for what happened and reimbursed me for some of the cost. Thank you****Booked two rooms at least 2 months in advance. We had the request for the rooms to be close together. The website states check-in is at 3pm and we arrived at 4:15pm July 20, 2019. No rooms were available for us. Said we could wait until 5pm for two rooms close together or get rooms now but one on floor 2 and the other on floor 15. We had a very large party of people who needed to get ready for our dinner reservation at 6pm. We opted to wait after much confusion on why couldn’t at least get into one of the two rooms we would be getting. We were offered nothing for the inconvenience. Why would check in be at 3pm but we were still waiting by 5pm. Finally got ONE room, said they’d call my cell when the other was ready. Never got a call at all and the room phone was broken too so we couldn’t call. Called from a personal phone, said they’d bring up within ten min. They never brought it. We went to dinner and got the second room key finally around 9pm. Called down to get a fan due to extremely hot room. Never brought it. They refused any sort of reimbursement for all the hassle. Very close to ruining what was supposed to be a fun girls weekend. Very unhelpful and unapologetic staff.

Very clean very quiet. Bathroom was great great shower and very comfortable bed. Dinner in lobby had good food. Burgers, breakfast comfort food all with a view of downtown Portland. Staff very nice and efficient.

A bit shabby. Not the best Marriott has to offer, by far. Will stay at the Residence Inn in the Pearl like I usually do going forward.

I was very disappointed with this Marriott. They charge $42 for over night valet parking (no other option! ) and the food in the restaurant was not very good. I stay at Marriotts almost every week all over the country. I will choose a different Marriott property for my next business trip to Portland.

Suprised at some of the recent 1 star reviews! Book this hotel for my daughter's 21st birthday in Portland. We had originally planned on staying at a different Hotel but then we found out that it was the wrong area for what we wanted. So I ended up booking here last minute. Granted there was a slight mix-up in our room they more than made up for it! Upgraded us to a suite and added a few decorations for my daughter. From now on when in Portland we will stay only at this Marriott!

One of the worst hotel experiences ever! Originally made reservations at the Portland Marriott City. Website didn’t have an option to choose a single king or double queen. However, I was traveling with another adult so I specified in the notes for two queens. When I entered my room, found out they gave me a room with only a single king. Went to the front desk and the lady at the desk said we were out of luck because they were booked up. Didn’t even try to help us in a crappy situation so my friend was left scrambling to find a room the night of. I ended up contacting the Marriott Customer Service through the app and they said they had double queens at their sister hotel at the Courtyard which was a couple blocks away. Walked to the Courtyard and come to find out, they only had a double queen for the first night and that we had to get separate king rooms the second night. Today, go down to check-out and check back into our separate kings and found out my second night wasn’t even booked. They said they had only one room available and it was two queens. Not like I had a choice and had to stay there instead of walking to another hotel to switch a hotel a third freaking time. Of all my experiences at a hotel, this is absolutely one of the worst! Customer service is non-existent!
