I am writing this review because I had an issue at a best Western in McMinnville, OR. I had just been released from the hospital and I needed a hotel room to rest for one night so I was dropped off at the best Western I was recieved by Andrea the manager at the location I told her about my situation and that I only had a County Jail Identification card and I was just released from the ICU. She agreed to rent me a room for the night on the condition I put down a 250$ refundable deposit and an additional 200$ for the night totaling 450$. I agreed since I was very tired and had no luck getting any other hotel to rent to me with the county jail ID. I was very polite and respectful the whole 8 hours that I was there if it was even 8 hours before cops showed up to tell me the hotel wanted me to leave, no one that worked at the hotel had told me I had to leave nor did I get a single warning that I was doing something that could have me kicked out of the property. When told by officers to grab my things from my room and leave the hotel I did so with out any issues in fact I was also polite to officers. There was absolutely no damage to my room or any other part of the hotel but when officers arrived Andrea had already left and another employee was at the front desk. So I was not able to get my deposit back since she told me she would personally hand it to me the next morning when I left because she would be back on shift and she was the only person who I could get my deposit from.

What a great hotel! The staff was terrific, and very accommodating. Room was perfect, with very comfortable beds. As a plus, they also sell a Oregon wines. A win-win!

I stayed here on March 30th. My room was no joke, 3 feet away from the elevator. It looked like I actually shared a wall with the elevator wall. All night long I heard people going up and down and got very little sleep. The room was super small. No one could enter the room if someone else was at the sink as it was right next to the door.
I had the breakfast in the morning but the bacon was still raw. There were a lot of things that were not replenished and the toaster was broken.
I was only here for one night. When I left no one asked me how my stay was or anything. When I checked in the lady at the desk was super sweet so that was a plus.

The clerk (I can’t remember her name) was fantastic and accommodating.
My request was for a clean and safe room — I just needed a place to sleep because I couldn’t get home due to icy roads.
The room was modern and nicely appointed. No weird or funky smells. I am one of those people that checks all the nooks and crannies for dirt — none. The room was spotless.

Stayed here while doing housecalls for my patients in the area. Stayed because I wanted a jacuzzi tub and to have a little spa time. However, sadly disappointed. I arrived aroudn 730pm on a Thursday. Front desk agent was lukewarm, not super engaged. I booked a jacuzzi room, room 402. As I entered the room, it was FREEZING, took a while to warm up. Was going to take a bath in the jacuzzi, but inspected the jets and found mold in all of them. I wiped some out, but it was just too much. So, I opted to take a bath in the other tub in the bathroom. It creaked when I got in (I'm 150lbs), but at least it was clean (er). The TV turned on, but couldn't get it to work. The remote didn't respond beyond that. Here on business, so hoping for good Wi-Fi, which they promised. Unable to get this to work consistently either, even after calling the front desk. I ended up using my cell hot spot. The bed was comfy, the room was clean. However, the carpet in the room is old, dated, drab. WHY WHY WHY do hotels put carpet in hotels anymore? Rip it out and replace it! I didn't do the breakfast. The Kuerig coffee maker in the room was nice but the coffee choice was terrible. Seriously, get some actual K cups with good coffee. This hotel has the potential to be so much better with minor improvements. On check out, after sharing my concerns, no "I'm sorry, will discount", but the receptionist did call maintenance on the radio right away to go check out the jacuzzi tub.

Great people who are friendly and knowledgeable and helpful.

I am staying in a large Pet friendly room with comfy bed & nice pillows. Very nice hotel!

As of late August 2018, it is going through a re-branding process. Soon to be a Best Western. Updated interior. Nice rooms. Nice staff. Didnt get a chance to check out the pool.

Double charged me for my room and refused to fix the issue… definitely do not recommend… I work for a hotel and I know way better than to treat any guest the way I was treated by the tow men there… rooms were dirty. First room didn’t even have cable And they guy didn’t want to call to get it fixed… The lady Kristen was very nice however.

This place might be be under construction, but it is one of the best places we stayed at, and the price reflects the inconvience. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable! The pool was great, so was the breakfast and the staff! Don't let a great deal slip by you!

We stayed here not knowing anything about the town. This motel was affordable and promised breakfast in the morning. We arrived to find chaos… they were remodeling, under new management, and not all the rooms were available. Workers were installing lights and other room details as we entered our room. We had hoped for a nap after our 5 hour drive. Nope. The pool room was not available due to construction on the room. Breakfast was coffee and a packaged pastry. A lot of amenities just were not available. We were in town for a festival and did enjoy discovering some of McMinnville. At night truck and motorcycle noise disturbed us as this motel is by a busy crossroads. This was a disappointment. I hope the construction is done and all amenities are available now. Good luck.

The staff are a very accomdating and understanding… the stay was a great experience and I would recommend this lodging for anyone staying in the area.

Hotel was heavily under renovation but room was clean as it could get. Very little insulation in walls, lots of noise from outside in hallways and outside. Breakfast was looted it seemed but no fault of motel staff. Should be very nice when renovations done.

The rooms are very nice but the hotel is under construction. The contenental breakfast consists of muffins, coffee, and fruit. The pool is open but the steam room and jacuzzi is not. Theres definately potental but its a work in progress.

A very solid 3 star hotel. Hot tub/pool is nice, but the staff is taking WAY too long to remodel. (They said they've been at it over a year now! )

Safe, Clean Comfortable, Recently remodeled rooms. A little high $ for what you get. Close to Linfield, short drive to Evergreen Air and Space Museum as well as Downtown McMinville 3rd St. Shops and restaurants. Wineries in every direction. Located where 99W and Hwy 18 Meet. Less than 30 minute drive to Spirit Mountain Casino. Less than 50 Minute drive to Lincoln City and the Central Oregon Coast.

Very cozy room. Indoor pool and spa that was great. Front desk lady at check in was very nice. Hotel is under construction but that didn't bother us a bit.

The girl at the front desk was super helpful and nice. Kristen was her name. Very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is under construction, so I imagine a lot of the little issues will be fixed once it's finished, but there were a few things that caused us to (literally) lose sleep. 1. The toilet ran intermittently. We talked to an employee, who said the maintenance person would come and fix it, but that never happened. 2. The walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors' bathroom fan going for hours (as well as every word of their conversations). 3. The beds and the pillows are less than comfortable. However, the hotel is inexpensive, the staff are extremely friendly, and it's conveniently located to Linfield (and an easy drive to Portland). Once it's been renovated, I reckon it will be much improved.

Lobby was under major reconstruction. Seems Best Western had purchased the hotel recently and were making some upgrades. Room was nicely sized. Could have been cleaner. Carpets showed major wear and dust in hard to reach places. Conditioner dispenser in shower was broken with large puddle of product in tub. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were horrible but I always bring my own for just that reason.

Not a bad hotel. Not super fancy but not horrible either. Towels were nice and soft and everything smelt clean. No weird stains on the sheets. Overall I would stay there again. And they have a pool.

Be warned! The Omsi reciprocal program pass Does NOT work here even though it is listed. It is crazy expensive and there is virtually nothing hands on for kids and anything that was interesting was out of order. This place is for retired people NOT children! I would not have come had I known I was going to have to pay full price and I will NEVER return!

Dirty and under construction. Keys didn't work on half of the doors. Stains on pillow cover, coffee table and sink. Crumbs on the couch and no hand soap. We didn't bother you to stay for whatever the breakfast was. Just wanted to get out. I get that it's under construction but what the hell. Close the place down until it's finished. Even the printer at the front desk was broken so they couldn't print a receipt. Stay away from this stinker.

Recently stayed here to go to my son's wedding. Like other reviewers said, the place is under construction so the lobby isn't beautiful. Our room was nice sized, with a love seat and coffee table. The beds were SUPER comfy. The pool was OPEN during our stay. The service was EXCELLENT. We were allowed to check in well over an hour early as we were from out of town for the wedding so we could get ready in time. We really appreciated it. My Grandfather is a veteran & was given a great discount on his room. The ONLY down side that I can think of was the continental breakfast. There was very little to choose from. However, the girl at the front desk said once their remodel is over with, they will be serving hot breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

This pace needs to be closed down. I will be calling to file a complaint. They are remodeling, which we didn't know about. It is horrible, no a. C. In the lobby, exposed wires, no flooring. Dirty and it stinks. The room had rips in the chairs, wouldn't sit on the bed. Pool closed. Talked to the employee and they had more horror stories. Needs to be shut down,.

Great price, location is close to town via a short drive, a little outdated interior, but clean.

I was not happy with my stay at all. My husband and I were in town for my daughters Special Olympics and wanted something nice and close to her. Got there early and was told we couldn't check in till 3 and it was after 3 and still waiting for our room. Finally got to the room and my husband notice that there was food on the ceiling. Then we left to go for dinner and came back and I wanted to take a bath. There was hair in the tub and mold all around the tub. When we left in the morning I said something about it to the front desk person and she was like ok whatever. I will never stay there again.

Booked hotel for the pool and it was out of order feel cheated but the beds were ok.

The owner is too cheap to fix the roof on the restaurant next door. If they'd put the money into fixing the roof they could have a six star chief cooking the food there.

We had an excellent stay. Had a reservation at the motel 6 nearby, but the room was so smokey we could not stay. Fortunately the Guesthouse had a wonderful room for slightly more than the motel 6 price. Clean, roomy and a beautiful hotel. Nice breakfast in the morning as well.
