The hotel has comfortable beds and the overall rooms are great. The hotel is also close to the airport which is a plus. Unfortunately, you are limited to where you can eat because there are not many options nearby. Therefore, you have to rely on the hotel's restaurant. The food selections are nice, but the service is hit or miss. It's not consistent, and you get the feel that they cater to some over others. I'm definitely not pleased with that work ethic because I believe everyone should be treated fairly. I would suggest going where you're welcomed and people appreciate your business.

Newly renovated everything is new and in good working order. Shower is huge, bed is extremely comfortable and very quiet.

I came from Jamaica and was low on funds. I had paid for the room already, but they wanted a large deposit, and due to the expense of the island I couldn’t meet it. They helped me out, turning-off my ability to charge to my room. I was dreading staying in the airport overnight and losing the money I paid non-refund-ably… I got to shower and sleep in comfort. I used hotel tonight to find a good last minute deal. This Westin is always a hood bet. Clean and solid. Comfy beds with 2 types of pillows — some firm and some feathery so you cam have what you need. Good deal!

Perfect place to park and fly from Dulles. BUT this is not actually a Westin. It’s run by some other company under the Westin name. The Dream Beds are not quite right and it’s just a little off in many ways. I still stay here all the time, just revise down your expectations. They seriously need to change out the beds. Well past their expiration date. The shuttle service is great and reliable. Never had a real issue. If you come in on the red eye, call the hotel to make sure they get you a bus. In the overnight, the driver is pretty much always on break.

This was our first time redeeming points on our SPG card. We were in town for a family reunion and had to stay a little farther than we wanted to, but definitely worth it for a free room. It was clean and comfortable. Can't really complain about a free room.

I enjoyed this hotel a lot. Very nice looking room and Lobby and fitness room. Price was good for the quality of the hotel although it could have something to do with the time of year. This hotel is very close to the airport and under a 15-minute Drive. I would definitely come back here at this price if I needed to stay by Dulles Airport.

Nice place, new, very professional, comfortable. Would recommend to anyone. The dinning room was exceptional and the menu was excellent. All our meals were delicious.

The staff was great and the rooms were nice but something was awry with the air conditioning. The room felt so damp. They changed our room and while it improved, it was still strange. I left my school book on the bed while we went out for dinner and the pages were wrinkly when we came back. I've never felt a more damp room in my life. Maybe the units work better on lower floors because the lobby was totally normal, but this was the 8th floor. The hallways up there were not air conditioned at all.

The lobby had many sofas, they were very comfortable. The bar was in a good location. The ballrooms were of a comfortable size. The lobby had two containers with infused water. One was lemon, one was orange. Both were very refreshing. Just right, after a long day of travel.

Nice place to stay while you are in a rush to Dulles airport. Such an integrated complex, no need to worry to find food and other supplies while you are quite far from DC downtown!

Situated near the airport this Westin this is a good overnight stay before or after a flight. Views from rooms are drastically different from facing a garage to a pretty manmade lake with colorful trees surrounding it. The carpeting and room design are a bit dated and certainly need a refresh. A nice touch is the rain shower head in the bathrooms. Unfortunately, the breakfast is very dissapointing. Hampton Inn breakfasts are better and at $13 a person you're best going elsewhere.

We went to a wedding and the food was excellent. We got both Curry chicken and steak both were very good. The venue was beautiful and easy to park and get to. However they rushed all of us out and closed the bar early. Felt kind of odd.

The hotel itself is a little older. But, I had no issues when I stayed there. The breakfast is standard for a hotel. The lobby is nice and clean. They have free parking in a garage that's behind the hotel. There garage has an elevator that takes you directly inside as well. The area is nice and close to a lot of restaurants.

Clean neat resort, remarkably quiet given that its near Dulles airport. Bathrooms are large and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Free parking! No microwave but has hot water maker and mini fridge.

I was ok with check-in I have two kids and my husband my 12 year old son can swim but the life guard did not let him swim past 4 feet my kids can’t get in the whirlpool even with me there, they closed the pool from 1:00 to closing we came here for a birthday weekend for my daughter that is 8 and we paid $500 for fun but we can’t have fun. Not to mention when I came here they knew there was 2 grownups and 2 kids my husband my husband was not here yet because he works but they did not give us free breakfast cards for my husband. This is a nice hotel but the service is not good. The house keeper did not clean my room because I have a puppy that is not even 20 pounds, I had to clean my own room she made me use her vacuum and get cleaning supplies. The life guard had her phone with headphones in her ears and not doing her job she made me get out the whirlpool and get in the pool with my children I could not relax on my vacation. Even the lady at the front desk who got my car from the valet parking that I pay $10 a day for when I came back I realized that I didn’t have my car card so when I came back she said ‘’ my bad I thought you was checking out” I said “no, I was not checking out did I ever say that “ I was really nice and respectful but I was really angry. I feel unwelcome, I paid to be bossed around.

The shuttle from airport to the hotel arrived right on time. Short ride to the property. The hotel is very clean and up scale. The decor is modern and warm. Restaurant on property is worth a stop. Both for breakfast and dinner. (Drinks as well. ). It is conveniently located right across from a major business Park, so they have a good amount of quiet professionals, rather than families and screaming children. Enjoy your stay!

Nice room. Comfortable bed, clean, lovely shower. Good food at the bar. Not sure the IPA is supposed to be cloudy. I asked and was told that it should be cloudy. Didn't enjoy it. Other beers are available.

It was busy with a lot of people checking in Friday February 9th but each of us was given undivided attention and Welcomed to our temporary home. The room was AWESOME! Clean, updated and really bad ass cool! The shower was schweet! The robe was so comfortable. All of their shower products smelled so good and felt really good. The bed was GREAT! Their complimentary coffee that they had, before taking a shuttle to the airport, was DELICIOUS! It's in the details and the Westin delivered!

Stayed here because of a missed flight. United gave me a 'distress rate' for the room. The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was beyond my expectation. Check in process was smooth and so was check out. The staff were friendly and helpful. Had a good breakfast at the hotel's restaurant.

Not as bad as I thought from reading the reviews. The room was better than some that I have seen at 4 star hotels. The bathroom would have been great had it not been for a dirty toilet. I had to call to have the come clean it. The beds that I had were ok. Lighting was good. Heat worked. The lobby was good. Parking in the garage was good too. They need to just work on cleaning the rooms well.

Hot water was very just kind of warm for my early morning shower. Room would never warm up past 65 degrees. This is a nice clean property but for winter over night I was very cold and could not get warm. I will try again in a more moderate climate time of year. Area was quite and safe. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Love Love Love this hotel! The staff are just so pleasent, the rooms are nice and the hotel is super clean. I wish we were able to use the pool but it was closed for the four days we were there. Other than the pool situation our stay was perfect thank you.

My stay at the Westin was pleasant and uneventful. My room had been updated with a walk in shower and the main bedroom, while somewhat small was comfortable. There didn't seem to be enough power options at the bed for charging my phone and watch but the desk had options for both USB and power. The workout facility was decent with a mixture of aerobic, free weights, and other equipment options. The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the airport but be sure to confirm what door to meet the driver when you arrive!

Rooms were nice and clean. We were able to opt out of room service because we knew we wouldn't need it. We had to bring our dog last minute but if worked out find because the pet friendly!

Staff is amazing. Seriously. They are professional and pleasant and always willing to go above and beyond any other hotel staff I've ever encountered. The reason for only 4 of 5 is the food. Nothing special at all which is unfortunate.

Nice hotel. Tucked away in a apt/condo area near the airport. No valet on duty. The TV constantly had issues with going in and out of reception almost always saying no service or service interrupted. Front desk seemed uninterested in answering/solving issue. Only one elevator from hotel to parking garage. That elevator broke on Sunday. Having to walk up four levels (seemed like 8 to my car) again front desk seemed uninterested in the issue to quote the front desk girl " I called the technician! " I said well about a dozen people are hanging out and there are no stairs so maybe putting up a sign is in order? The room its self was excellent sparing this a one star review. Great view. Very comfortable. Front desk… well they need some training :)

Work out room is nice and good enough for a few days. People are nice, room. Is clean. One if the best 4 stars I've been in, but I'll. Give it a 5 for this review. It's a "5 star" review for a. 4 star hotel.

The bellman and front desk team didn’t know what a concierge is or what the word meant. When I rang to get room service the girl who answered the phone didn’t know what room service meant. I had to explain to her that meant ordering food. She asked if I wanted it “to go. ” The TV remote wouldn’t change channels, the televisions hard wired buttons wouldn’t change channels, the TV remote’s battery door was screwed shut. I tried explaining this to the staff by phone and they didn’t understand why I didn’t just use the arrows. I asked if the hotel shop had chargers for a smart watch — on a fluke. The people didn’t understand that a smart watch and a phone are different pieces of technology — young people. No concept that a watch needed a charger. As if they had never seen one. When I spoke with the MOD his offer was to comp breakfast. So I skipped the in room coffee and headed downstairs. Coffee isn’t included in the “comp” breakfast per the restaurant team. So I would have had to have paid almost $4 for a cup of coffee and required $7 tip. So my “comp” breakfast would have been $11. I asked the least expensive way to get downtown DC — they Calle me a cab. I’m looking at the meter now almost $60. Yes their “concierge” team has now bilked me into what looks to be an almost $100 cab ride. I asked for the least expensive way into DC. Your team is less than inept. And has now cost me a) no food b) no coffee and c) a ridiculously expensive cab ride. What is wrong with your employees?

Excellent place, the staff is friendly and efficient, complimentary shuttle airport, museum and many places, just ask! The room are clean. The restaurant is very good so the breakfast and service. Thank you again for the staff, customer service, drivers for the good advices and restaurant servers.

Great and friendly staff. They do offer their green reward for not using their room service. This essentially add 500 points to your spg account or provide a discount when making a purchase. The hotel does have a unique scent that is everywhere… from the lobby to your room and it's also the same scent used in their shampoo/conditioner.

Great beds (as always with Marriott). Super nice at the front desk on arrival and great help when I was leaving. The shuttle was on time and they guy was great. Handily located to the airport, but not so close as to feel you're still there.

I stayed in different Westins before, and this was THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed. Believe me, I never posted a bad review for anything in my life. I always try to understand the gap between the service expected and actually provided, but this is just the worst experience I had to share. My friend made a reservation for me and we stayed in town for her wedding. On the day I was checking in, they were not even able to retrieve my reservation, even though it was under my name, and the lady who helped me check in (whatever her name was) looked at me as if I was lying to her. Even without further action, she asked me to call my friend who made a reservation to make sure the reservation was in. Even with the confirmation number, she insisted that she cannot retrieve any information with the number. She held up on me and another guest of mine in the lobby for at least 2 hours accused of us as if we were some kind of forger who were trying to check-in without reservation. After several hours of arguing and my friend calling the hotel from her wedding rehearsal, another gentleman working there, who saw us standing there for hours, helped us. He was able to find me on the reservation list in a split second and checked me in. The lady did not even apologize, and just said "Oh, I just thought the reservation I saw was not yours". Really? When my first name and last name popped up on the monitor as it should be, you did not believe that it was my name? Another problem was charges.

I did not have a good experience at this hotel, which is not what I would have expected from a Westin. My checkout wasn't until 12 but the maids knocked on my door at 8:15 in the morning to ask me when I was checking out — I wasn't even dressed and it felt like they were rushing me out for a quick turnover of the room. The front desk, when I first arrived was supposed to call me when my room was ready, because they weren't allowing early check-ins, but they forgot to call me. The service in the dining hall was adequate but I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and it came with extremely stale chips that I had to send back, to which they just supplied me slightly less stale chips. Overall a disappointment. On the other hand, the room was comfortable and clean. The location can't be beat… Except for that Hyatt that's across the street, where I'll be staying next time.

Wasn't that clean, bed looked used when I first arrived. Then surprised by no hot water… nice room but consistently disappointed. Also don't go to the hotel restaurant. Take a nice walk to the local restaurant center maybe a mike or two away. Really good Thai food.

Nice hotel, very elegant and well taken care of. The gym is much better then other hotel gyms. The rooms are big and clean with huge windows and an over the top shower. Customer service is impeccable. During my 4 days here I didn't have any problems in finding parking in the garage. They have a bar and a restaurant (Yes, it is pricey). The bad is VERY comfortable. There is a safety and a refrigerator in the room and everything is new. I will strongly recommend this hotel!

We have stayed here a few times now and we have never had a problem with the staff. I am glad to see they have made an update to the rooms fixing the lack of outlets near the beds. So thanks and good job, they added 2 plugs and 2 usb plugs. We were in room 234 about 10 feet from the pool. We have a small child so it was a little loud with all the people walking by and we shared a common wall with the weight room also not the most ideal. We will ask not to stay in that room again. However, you could NOT smell any chlorine in the room and after 9pm when the pool closes it was quiet. So for those with older children it will not be a problem. All in all we have tried other hotels in the area and this is the best. It's clean and well priced, so if you are considering it, just do it and stay you will love it.

It's not a real Westin! It's only licensed by Starwood but operated by someone else. I'm a gold level member and there was absolutely no recognition. I usually get upgraded to better rooms, but when I got to the front desk, the guy there said, "Let me check if we actually have rooms to check you into". It kinda annoyed me because he assumed I just landed up wanting a room. Also, these guys are really stingy with water. They only gave one bottle in the room, and when I asked for more, I was told that only the bottle in my room was free, but any other bottle had to purchased. I've never experienced this at any SPG property, much less at a Westin. Stay away is all I can say.

Absolutely no problems with this hotel or staff. The shuttle service was convenient and free to Dulles. The rooms were large and clean. It would be nice to have free Wi-Fi in the rooms though.

Very nice looking. I stayed as a guardian to a veteran for an Honor Flight. They took amazing cate of the veterans, and went out of their way to make sure they were taken care of.

Have stayed at this specific hotel four times in the last 75 days. Each time we arrive, we have asked for a complimentary upgrade and received it. We have always enjoyed our stay, but came to realize we were charged an additional $80 for an upgrade, that we asked for, and got for FREE. It was very nice for the manager Matt to give us a handicap suite at no charge, but I guess he got in trouble for it and tried some slick move to charge us AFTER we left. Tried to call and have it resolved, but after speaking to three people, all with different reasons as to why they wouldn't reverse it, a very bad taste was left in our mouths. I just had one of their "managers" call me a liar! Guess what smart guy, we stay in a hotel EVERY weekend and we know how to ask for upgrades. We wouldn't pay $80 on top of the $80 we already spent to stay there, let alone for a handicapped room! We will. Dispute the charge, and we will win the dispute and all you have done is piss off loyal Westin guests, and loyal Westin Herndon guests and for what? Way to go Alex and Matt!

It was solid. The meeting rooms were quite small, bit they were maintained nicely. That would be an apt description of the hotel in general — small but nicely made. In general, it is a great place to stay for all those needing to be close to the airport.

Held a professional meeting because my own office doesn't have the needed conference space. Easy to find, easy to park, nice room setup, and a tech assistance with setting up the laptop/projector/phone dial-in. Have held meetings here several times and will continue to, it's been a great experience.

Absolutely best hotel in the area. Stayed in all the SPG properties around Dulles and would never switch. Hotel is very new, with bright and quiet rooms. The lobby is very spacious and welcoming with the open area bar right next to it. The stay is trully fantastic, especially front desk. You feel pampered by them from the moment you check in to the moment you check out. Nothing is an issue, everything gets addressed promptly and always, I mean always with a huge smile on the staffs face. I will definitely be back whenever Im in the area.

Beware of Westin Washington Dulles Airport and Hyatt Place Herndon, VA! How do you feel if your reservation got cancelled at the last minute after spending three weeks to make a reservation for your group for a special event? Yes, that's what happened to us. They left us no place to go at the last minute. Westin Washington Dulles Airport Hotel told us that they made an error by double booking and dropped our group like hot potatoes. Hotel showed no ethics, no integrity, no faith, no service. They showed no care toward us and told us that they will replace us with same quality Hotel in lieu of their mistake. But shoot us with third class hotel with same rate with one man operation. Hotel name Hyatt Place, Herndon, VA. We were very disappointed with this Hotel because their service was not meeting to our expectation. Most important thing to inform you is that they withdraw almost $ 500.00 more money after we paid the final bill upon their request, and left the hotel. How do you like that? Both Hotel pulled the stun like this to us for those who travelled 2, 000 miles away from home, we felt real pressure and sad. What do you think? Therefore, Please beware of these Hotels! They might pull the same stun like this to YOU.

Awful experience. Late flight. Called ahead of time and was promised a shuttle would be there to pick me up. No shuttle when I got there. Called again. Was told I would have to wait 45 mins to be picked up (hotel is exactly 6 mins from airport). Once my taxi gets me to the hotel, 2 shuttles are sitting in the valet. The concierge desk watches me pull all my luggage in with no thought to come help. And I capped off the night by bringing my own bags to my room. Some 4 star resort this was.

Stayed 1 night. Checked in room — had water bottles missing. Called Front Desk to inform them — said OK. After checking out got charged for the water bottles I never drank! Called them TWICE to take care of issue — to no resolve.

This is the first negative review I have ever written on a company. On a corporate trip for training at the Westin. This was easily the worst experience I have had a hotel. The staff charged a $700 hold to my personal card then charged me $250 to my personal card for the room. They card another $700 to my corporate card. I called to resolve, left me on hold for 15 minutes, then I called back, and put me into voicemail. I'm still awaiting a call back from anyone. I promise no one at my company will ever stay at a Westin again. Thank you Westin Dulles.

The hotel is nice, clean, well kept, and the staff is attentive. But, it takes 15 minutes for hot water to get to the tap in the room, the toilet runs, the television cable cuts out every 45 seconds or so, and the food is phenomenally overpriced, and pretty lackluster. The shuttles to the airport are every 30 minutes — for a hotel which is supposed to be an "airport hotel", that seems a bit spread out. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again.

My experience was terrible. I wouldn't advice any one to go there. Stick with the Hiltons or Ramada any where but there. This is what happen, they accused me of smoking in the room an I wasn't. I think they just wanted to keep my deposit. The head of that department I think he was on 1.

Wonderful experience. Recently stayed for a wedding and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The front desk staff were great. Very Warm, welcoming, and accomodating. They also let me check in Very early! I know they do not have the control over which rooms are cleaned and ready, but it was very nice to check in early to get ready and relax. The breakfast was amazing and the bed was excellent with all of those comfortable pillows! I really can not stress enough that the two front desk staff (a man and a woman) were just so wonderful. Thank you for an excellent stay.

@Padella inside the Westin — They started serving smoothies in breakfast buffet. Awesome. Wish smoothies were a bit on sweeter side or less yogurty.

Great experience with this hotel. The food was great (as a foodie I was impressed). The hotel was smaller than the typical westin hotels but it was super clean and the service was what you would expect from a westin.
