Nice place to stay. Nice service.

I'm not sure of the cost since my work paid for it but the rooms were decent. I think the "extended stay" should be emphasized; if you need a place for a few weeks, it's probably a good choice. You've got a kitchenette, free Wi-Fi, several stores within walking distance for groceries, and some restaurants. For a few days, you may prefer somewhere else… There's no real lobby, just a couple chairs, so when I arrived in the morning, apparently about 6hrs before check-in, there was nowhere to sit and wait and I couldn't leave my bag, so I had to carry my luggage down the street to Starbucks and wait a few hours. When I returned, 90min before check-in, I was offered early check-in for $25, which I declined. About 30min later, I finally got a room without paying an early check-in fee. The free breakfast was a "grab 'n' go" of coffee, tea, oatmeal packets and granola bars. Again, if here for a few weeks or more, you could grocery shop but for 3 days, it's not worth it.

Nice place. Putty on the shower plumbing was a bit odd.

You get what you pay for. I got a room for 5 nights. I was given a room on the 3rd floor. After unpacking, I walked out of the room. When I closed the door, it would not lock. I notified the front desk and they moved me across the hall. The room was livable but there were issues. The bathroom sink did not appear to be mounted correctly and was hanging slightly to one side. The knob to the cold water was extremely difficult to turn on and off. The cover to the air conditioner was falling off. There is a shopping center across the street with several restaurants. The majority of the patrons of this shopping center are Hispanic and Indian. I got dirty looks as if I was not welcome there. The breakfast is a grab and go style. There is coffee, individually wrapped muffins, and granola bars… breakfast opens at 6:30 but for 3 of the 5 mornings when I got to the lobby at 7am they had run out of muffins and granola bars. The staff felt no obligation to refill the breakfast bar even after I notified them. The bed was comfortable and the price was good. There is a nice area with 2 benches outside. It is a good place to sit and people watch. If I had paid more for the room, I would give 1 star.

Rooms were below average for the price. Curtains were torn which made the street light come into the room all night long, bed was not comfy and no customer service.

Had a musty smell in the room and the staff had no clue how to use the computer. The room itself was clean otherwise.

I wish I was being dramatic when I say this is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. Especially for the price paid. Had to switch rooms multiple times due to maintenance issues, the beds are hard as rocks and the pillows they have offer no support. They have a grab and go breakfast that consists of muffins and granola bars and sometimes oatmeal. Other than that it's just coffee.

It's a nice place for a business stay. Would surely require some renovations the bedsheets need to be more better in terms of quality. The front desk reception is warm and hospitable.

I stayed here for about three weeks for work. The place was very well kept and the staff very helpful. Conveniently located near grocery stores and a bus stop.

Nice and quiet at night. But if you don't like the smell of marijuana and prostitutes then this is not the place for you.

Stayed here for two weeks, the place has a kitchen, rooms are good and comfortable bending, helpful and courteous staff, had a super market just across the road, quite a few dining options nearby. Overall a good place to stay for short trips.

Love the stay in Extended Stay America. They do have a small kitchen setting in the room, no wonder why they have such hotel name. Room was clean with usual amenities.

Place is just so so. Leaves much to be desired. The air vents were filled with dust and so noisy… the carpet had stains visible… bathroom had mold around shower faucet. I just did not feel comfortable. One good thing was it was close to high ways and town area so everything was basically in walking distance.

Only the second worse out of all the Extended Stays I have stayed at. The toilet clogged after one use. When I called the front desk they said I could use their plunger and if that didn't work I could be moved to a different rolm, at 10pm. The Wi-Fi never worked for me except once, which was so bad it was practically unusable anyway. Beds are decent if you like firm beds. Use caution with the sink faucets as they have bizarre pressure and tend to fly water everywhere.

The room didn't smell exactly good. Other than that it was great. There was no one at the front desk and they took some time to show up. The doors are not comfortable if you're carrying several suitcases.

I'm a big fan of Extended Stay America. It's got nice beds, free Wi-Fi, a desk and a kitchenette with a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, counter space and cabinets — — all you really need if you're planning to stay somewhere for a few days or a few weeks or a few months. And yes, they also include cooking pans, dishes and utensils. Moreover, it's all available for less than the cost of a suite at (for example) Mariott's Residence Inn or its Fairfield Inn & Suites. I'm even more of a fan of the Extended Stay in Herndon, VA. In my most recent stay there, I had some transportation issues that the staff helped me solve. I want to thank everyone there, especially Khaled who went above and beyond the call of both duty and friendliness. Thanks khaled!

I made a reservation through the phone on august 10th at 12 am and the person I spoke with on the phone gave me instructions on how to enter the hotel if the loby door was locked and whatever I enter and as soon as I walk in I tell the front desk assistant that I made a reservation and that the person on the phone told me to just show my id and credit card so I did and she asked for the confirmation number which I did not have because I forgot to ask for it when I made the reservation I called them back they gave it to me I gave the front desk lady the confirmation number and she said that she couldn't do anything because the system was not working and that she needed to know the name of the company or website I called to make the reservation so she made me call back the people who helped me make the reservation and they helped me they sent me an email so she could see that we had the info and still she said no I need to verify it on the computer she had me waiting for 40 min and I didn't have to wait just because her system was not working she didn't even apologyze and she was like ok I will let you go but I haven't check you in yet. Really bad customer service, Extended Stay Hotel Should hire alert helpful people specially for night shifts with really good customer service.

The female at the front was exceptionally nice and accommodating and room was fresh and clean. No problems, late checkout was nice fot a change.

Had a broken fridge at first, but they replaced it the next day. Internet is slow, like Wireless dial up. Other than that everything has been fine.

Staff Ok — sometimes they get combative almost as if they want you to go away. There are a few staff members who will help you but they are the exception. room: no bed bugs, no roaches, no ants, no bugs, no cigarette smell, room was clean but do not expect a Hilton or Marriott rooms are small internet is free but very slow, slower than my att phones I had a leak in the room — it got fixed the same week cable:has 30-40 channels the sat goes out a few times a week price: excellent for this area breakfast is very limited, muffins, granola bars coffee ect, this is not a 3 star hotel. I only ended up in this location because the Reston location is setup more like a motel. If you have stayed in the Reston location please review it so I can consider it in the future sometimes rifraff check into the rooms, the loud types, definitly not somewhere for family. safety: so far no issue here, noise: seems to be an issue the same rifraff parks in front of the hotel with loud music you can hear in the room. The walls for some strange reason allow noise easily thru and im not talking base, im talking vocals ect. I wouldent give this hotel more than a 3.5 out of 5, it is not a 5, it is not a 4, its definitly a 3. ESA needs to modernize their properties, the level of service, transfering between properties and rewards fro number of nights.

Had an inquiry. Concierge was very helpful. Though could not help with the discounts that are available online. Had to call customer care regarding the same.

Horrible Experience! if you ask for the room service to Clean the room, but they sent a person after 8 days of time I have requested… and if you ask for the soap and shampoo also they will say currently no stock and give you after 2 days. The most funny thing is we are asking for the breakfast, they will provide only the worty stuff is Muffins, but its not available for 4 days breakfast… so better stay away from this hotels…

Ok, not great. Small kitchen area with sticky floors and the lamps were missing the shades.

Bed had a burn from a cigarette, cigarette buts in the sink, in a smoke free hotel. It doesn't seem like they cleaned much from the smells. Free Wi-Fi is sitting for two minutes for a page to load. The bed was atleast nice to sleep on.

To give some perspective on the other reviews: according to their website, they've recently renovated the rooms and no longer allow smoking anywhere in the hotel. I found my room to be clean and comfortable. The feather pillows were especially nice. The free breakfast is grab-and-go, so that means a meager selection of apples, granola bars, muffins, coffee, tea, and instant oatmeal (in a cup). The Wi-Fi is slow; you can pay for faster speed. The in-suite kitchen is kind of bare, but you can ask for things like utensils, toaster oven, etc. I asked for toothpaste and shampoo and the front desk provided me with those. I only stayed for two days, so I can't speak to the long-term things, like housekeeping — according to the card they give you, it's provided for a "nominal fee, " and you can "exchange your towels at the font desk anytime. " A service that wasn't listed is printing, but I asked about it and they said they could print for me if I email them the files. As for check-in, I arrived at 2 AM, so I got the night lady — she was nice, but a bit inexperienced with checkins: I asked for "tonight and tomorrow" and she booked me for one night (I booked another night in the morning without issue). Overall, a decent hotel experience. I wouldn't say I "loved it" — there are better/nicer hotels you can stay at — but I didn't have any major issues, either.

I've been staying here for 5 months, so can give you a thorough review of your experience you will have here. I chose the third floor, so am unsure if you will hear people's footsteps. There are two hallways on the same floor. One for non-smokers and one for smokers, so you will smell the smoke come into your room from time to time. The stairwell got vandalized once, but they painted over it quickly. The people staying here are questionable. Twice now I have heard an argument between two men fighting about having sex with their woman. Another time I saw a police officer hanging out of one of the rooms. They wouldn't tell us why. All they could say was there was a party in that room and had to stay outside until everyone vacated. Many times the fire alarm went off either early in the morning once and like 10 times in a row late at night another time because someone decided to pull it for fun. There is a heater/ac in the room which I've both used since I have been here through winter and summer and works fine. I had to change rooms once because the toilet made a really loud noise every 15 mins and they couldn't get a maintenance person to come in that late, so offered another room to me. In both rooms I've experience the bathroom sink backing up. You can get this fixed. The toaster in the room is rusted inside, so I wouldn't recommend using it. The microwave door had a hard time closing, but it works fine. The iron, stove, and refrigerator is decent.

Fairly crappy area of Herndon, loud as hell, sounded like friggin people playing basket ball over my head, pounding on doors, stomping up and down the hallway all night, room smelled like cooking oil and the bed was roughly the same comfort as a pile of brick. Other than that, I could have got better for a little more in price. I won't be going to extended stay ever again, given a choice.

Room was musty, smoky even though it was non-smoking, and dusty. Felt alright walking in area, wouldn't loiter though.

Employee and some other person were passing a joint in the elevator in front of a customer! This happened in July of 2008.
