Review of Comfort Inn West Valley - Salt Lake City South 2*

Do Not stay here! We booked to stay there online through booking. Com. After a very long drive we go to check in, Mark said they didn’t have our reservations for the 2 rooms. I showed him on the phone. He said to call booking. Com. I called them, they got on the phone with Mark. I asked him 3 times the status over the next 45 min. He ignored me. My husband then came in and asked what was going on. I was telling him I had zero clue and I was frustrated, started crying to my husband (I was exhausted had 4 kids until he car). I asked Mark again, do we have the rooms, I just need to know if I need to find a different hotel. He proceeded to say NO you don’t now and you can leave or I will call the police! I said wait a minute I just wanted an update, he was angry and said he was figuring it out but now I can just leave. I said then give me a refund. He said no you don’t get a refund! Mark was rude, didn’t know how to do his job, didn’t communicate, threatened to call the police because I wanted to know the status after 45 min of our rooms, refused a refund for rooms we didn’t get. Not to mention the amount of guests that were waiting because their rooms were dirty, didn’t have towels, etc. This place is horrible and Mark shouldn’t have a job there. I also had to go through my bank in order to get a refund! Which is insane! On a trip had to shut my cards down because this place refused a refund. Also booking. Com said they emailed the reservation to him 3 times so there shouldn’t have been an issue at all. They fixed it quick and Mark had the reservation and just refused to set up our keys and give access to the rooms. He acted like this was impossible but he had everything he needed from booking. Com and this could have been handled in 10 min. But instead he was rude, ignored me for 45 min and then finally answered me after my husband came in only to threaten to call the police for zero reason. I was calm, was not yelling, cussing. I had tears but was calm. We have stayed here before and went back because we were happy with it, but will never stay here again, as well as call his boss and let them know as well.
