Beautiful hotel in a good location. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous swimming pool (only used the outdoor one) again immaculately clean. Wide range of food at breakfast and dinner, well cooked but not always exactly what you ordered. I couldn't finish my, " well done" steak as it was bloody in the centre portion. I should have complained as the price was steep but I was in holiday mode.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing hotel! Just the architecture alone is breathtaking, but much less when you walk into your luxurious hotel room! Wait. Did I say room? I meant to say suite? No? Sorry, I should have said penthouse. What a wonderful experience they provide. Afternoon tea is a must! But make sure you make a reservation. The city tram is literally right next to the hotel so you can pretty much go anywhere in the city fairly quickly.

Fantastic hotel. Staff are impeccably polite and helpful. Food is astonishingly tasty. The location is wonderful. While I haven't stayed in a room here (just attended events), I have every reason to expect that they would be phenomenal. If there's any downside it's that the place is HUGE and it's remarkably easy to get lost in.

This is an amazing hotel to stay at if you want to feel like a King or Queen. We recently used the Grand America as a spot for our wedding party to get ready for the wedding and had a great experience. We had the Executive suite and was able to fit 8 bridesmaids, 6 Make up and Hair people and about 6 more friends and family. The room was a great size and the view was great! It was also very clean and everything was so beautiful. The only thing I would complain about and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is that I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times now and each time I get the worst sleep. The beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows are terrible. I really hope they upgrade to better mattresses and pillows. Ok so that is the only negative thing I have to say but other than that I loved it. We also ordered room service and the food was hot and delicious. When we were ready to check out, we called down for help and a bellman was at our door in minutes! Great Hotel and I would recommend this to anybody for a special event!

If there were 6 stars, I would give it to them! Such excellent service! Everywhere we went the workers were so helpful and kind. Not one bad experience. The food is too good to be true. (But really, over 50 blackberries consumed by my husband and I and not one of them wasn't perfectly ripe… how do they do it? Not even to mention everything else we ate. ) Beautiful building, beautiful rooms, beautiful everything! When you walk into Grand America you walk into another world, one where you feel and are treated like royalty.

I was stunned at the Grand America Hotel. They did a fantastic job at everything they did. Parking was free if you stayed at the hotel and the grounds were kept immaculate. The view is incredible of Salt Lake, and the room itself is gorgeous as well. I'm very happy with my stay and look forward to staying again.

Beautiful hotel. However, the beds were some of the cheapest I've seen at a hotel (hard, clumpy). Pillows were extremely thick. Was easier to sleep without one. I've never had that experience at any hotel. Wait staff that oversaw the conference I was attending were very clean, attentive, friendly, and personable. I highly recommend having your conference here! But if you are looking for a comfortable bed you might prefer anywhere else. Cookies in the lobby were great too, by the way!

Amazing pastries and an even more amazing hotel. You feel like royalty walking through the entryway and halls. Plus, the bathrooms have cotton hand towels instead of paper towels or air driers which is really cool. Gardens are beautiful. Couldn't find any water fountains though if you needed a quick drink. They do have a harp player during tea time though which is awesome.

Pretty nice place, indoor pool is an extra fee to use, outdoor pool is very big/nice. Food from room service was very good. They use actual metal keys which are electronically programmed for the room which was a new one to me. Service was very good all around. Train stop two minutes from the hotel which you can take direct to the airport or into downtown SLC.

Lovely hotel! It was a great choice to celebrate our occasion. The Spa is outstanding and absolutely lives up to expectations. We had a small issue with our room. Housekeeping addressed it quickly and ensured the rest of our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast buffet at the Garden Cafe` was enjoyable and well worth the price. The shops are a delight, especially La Bonne Vie`. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. We look forward to a return visit soon.

Very nice of course. They give a reduced parking rate for hotel guests. The front desk was very nice and gave us ideas of things to do during our stay. We were offered an upgrade to an executive suite for just 10 dollars. The room had a view to the east and it was beautiful. Everything in the room was comfortable, and beautiful. The hotel is right next to a tracking station so it's very easy to get places. The only reason this wasn't a five star review is we felt more should have been included for how expensive the hotel is. Also the timing was bad for our stay because there was a wedding in the courtyard. The noise from the wedding ruined the experience for that night.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I attended a catered fundraising event in the ballroom, and the staff did an excellent job with the large group. The food was wonderful. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have people bringing water around during the social hour. We had to wait in line for the bar in order to get water, which was disappointing. Otherwise, everything was fabulous.

You get what you pay for and at Grand America you get a lot! Service is awesome. Everyone is a trained pro. Courtyard is so nice (especially in the spring). Great event spaces. Their style is a little grandiose, but it's nice.

I've attended NGConf, multiple work parties and eaten lunch at the Grand America. Each time I had a great experience! The bathrooms are spotless, the catering great, and there are lots of rooms of various sizes and each can be transformed to match your theme. Definitely among the best places to attend an event. The service was great, too! Whenever I found myself looking for something, someone appeared to show me where it was.

I attended a technical conference here two times, but have never stayed here. This is a beautiful hotel, one of the nicest venues I've ever seen. Marble, crystal chandeliers, and fresh flowers are everywhere. The hotel seems far more appropriate for a fancy wedding then a conference but surprisingly it should work for either. The lounge (The Gibson Girl) was a little small (but cozy) and seemed almost hidden tucked through a small door down a hallway several turns from the lobby.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff hosted the conference and all events without a problem.

If you go during Christmas time, you might get to see the gingerbread annual display. Even if you miss that, this place is magical around the holidays. Huge Christmas tree in the courtyard, beautiful scenery in Salt Lake City can be seen from May of the rooms, and they have delicious breakfast. When we were there there was a Santa meeting with the little patrons of the hotel. Seems like they are all about the guest experience, and they are nailing it.

Although I have never stayed here, I went to go visit the life size gingerbread house there in December. It is super cool and a great experience for all ages. Little kids will love seeing this awesome creation. Something interesting is that they give you facts about the makings of the house, and there are also mini candy canes they give out. Overall, great experience for some fun.

Luxury at its finest in Salt Lake City. If you want a luxury stay that really won't break the bank then this is the place to go. The rooms are a little out of date but immaculate and clean. The bathrooms have elegant style and comfort. Each public restroom has real cloth to dry your hands. The spa and indoor pool is essential for relaxation and comfort. It offers a warmed calm envirmonet with showers and complimentary toiletries like razors, tooth brushes, etc. Sunday brunch offers many different styles and tastes at a cost. Around $50 per adult. It is well worth the money.

I didn’t stay here, but I attended an event in the Grand Ballroom. This is a BEAUTIFUL hotel and the bathrooms nearest the Grand Ballroom were unbelievable. Even if you only visit here to use them, it is WELL WORTH IT. I am sort of a bathroom enthusiast and these blew my mind. They have cloth towels and a large vanity area. The metal is gold-colored and really pretty. The facilities are definitely aged, but still functioning well enough to impress me. The ballroom is also really nice. There are small shops throughout the hotel that really make it feel luxurious. The courtyard in the middle of the hotel is really nice and open, with fountains and small grassy areas. The front lobby is really pretty and has everything you would expect in a luxury hotel, even chessboards. The parking was also really convenient. They have a valet service, if you choose to use that, but you can also park yourself and the garage is well kept and convenient. Overall, 10/10 would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was amazing. I plan on coming back to actually stay someday.

The Grand America never disappoints. This was my second trip to the Grand it's top notch. The staff are outstanding from the time you check in, to the people who park your car to the gentleman helping with your bags. We received a wonder anniversary cake complimentary from the staff. The rooms are very clean and wonderful to stay in. The Sunday Brunch is second to none. There only problem is, you'll have to wear your fat pants to eat it all. The wait staff are fantastic. They are always checking on you and your drinks are always full. The in house band is a really nice addition to your dining experience. Upon leaving, we were given a free room upgrade for the next time we come.

I've stayed at a LOT of hotels all over the country. My career requires it. And I have never been treated as well as I was treated here. The service is genuine and uncannily consistent. The facilities we're the best I've seen, and the shops and spa are a tiny SLC oasis. Between hundreds of hotels, this one takes the cake without breaking a sweat.

This hotel is amazing. Left a pair of shoes here on accident. For about two weeks I wasn't sure where I put them or that I even left them at the hotel. Out of a whim I called the hotel. I was surprised to find out they still had them! Thanks to security for being so polite and helpful. And thanks to all the staff that made our stay comfortable. Besides having Wonderful experience with the hotel staff. This hotel is a wonderful stay. They host tea parties, have harp players or bands playing in the foyer. Decor is Excellent. Rooms are comfortable. This place is great.

The hotel is obviously high quality, but if it's up to me, and I'm paying for a high quality hotel, I don't want the inside of my room to look like a grandma's home. All the fixtures are just kinda old classic looking. Not my style. That said, the hotel and staff are amazing. Loved being able to grab a quality hot mocha from the bar in the morning, despite being in Mormon land.

I’ve found my new favorite hotel in Salt Lake. I’ve heard lots of great stories about the Grand America, I just seemed to forget each time I was in the city. However, this time I made the intentional effort to visit. We had a West facing room the overlooked the city and it was wonderful. From the smell of fresh cut flowers throughout the lobby, to the well appointed and large room, to the care and thoughtfulness of every single staff; make this true value for the cost per night. Visit once and you’ll become a fan for life.

Staff was friendly and kept the hotel clean. I was here for a professional conference and couldn't find an entrance near my parking spot. The staff directed me to the ballroom but the size of the hotel permitted me to get lost twice on my way. I was pleased with the soundproofing as the guest halls were silent even though they were a threshold away from the bustling conference halls. The decor is nice and I'd consider a stay herein the future.

I went there to see their decorated Windows for Christmas. They were amazingly detailed and my kids really loved it. The even had a life size Ginger bread house. It had a stair case and even a for place in it. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Staff is very friendly. We were not staying in the hotel. There were 4 of us and we were able to book 4 massages for the same time. We arrived a few hours early and enjoyed the fitness center and pool before our appointments. Made for an awesome relaxing day.

We went to dine during the brunch, to a very long queue for the buffet, but the service was excellent.

It is always a delight to enter the Grand America. Whether it's to stay as a guest overnight or only to enjoy the atmosphere for a few hours, it is always well worth the trip. The furnishings and decor are beautiful, and the service from every single employee is impeccable. We especially love going at Christmastime!

Went to visit the Grand America's yearly Christmas displays. Some of their window displays include classic toys and model TVs from the, as well as dioramas from popular Christmas movies and songs, including "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "The Twelve Days of Christmas. " The centerpiece is the enormous Gingerbread house, all amdw from actual candy. As part of our visit, some event staff actually gave us cookies from an event unrelated to my group, which was a nice surprise. Overall, a fun, enjoyable, and nostalgic experience.

We went with the girls to see All the love there is for christmas. The windows were decorated very nice. My daughters received a cookie and Ella's, loved them.

We had an excellent time here. Its a beautiful hotel. The outdated furnishing kinda fit the classic feel. 3 stars cause they nickel and dimed us for everything (indoor pool costs extra, even parking was $20 a night). Get rid of the extra fees and you get 5 stars. The window treatments for the holidays was the wow factor, keep that forever! I might come back just for those.

The Grand is a amazing location for your company event. The rooms are amazing here. The service is amazing. The hotel is beautiful and spacious. The on-site restaurant is amazing. You must experience Sunday brunch once in your lifetime. The food is incredible. The courtyard is beautiful and spacious. The holiday decorations are wonderful. The on-site toystore is cute and fun. The Gibson is a great little lounge and a great place to hang with friends and meet new people.

Thanksgiving Brunch is a must experience — just make sure you call the minute they open for reservations as they go fast. The food variety is always very good and there's something for everything. Wish they would stop serving the airline Turkey instead of the full bird. The rooms are very nice and the valet service is top notch.

I went to an event at the hotel and I loved it. The food was very good and everything was very clean.

Such a great experience. I stayed there for the first time on Saturday. They knew it was my birthday so they upgraded us to a room with an amazing view and had a personal size birthday cake waiting for me! loved everything about my stay and would highly recommend The Grand America to everyone.

Stayed here for my birthday celebration weekend and it was just delightful! The room was super clean and big! I love how they have a "front room" with a TV so when my husband, who gets up ridiculously early, can go out and watch TV and shut the double doors so I can sleep longer. Service was great. They had a birthday cake waiting in our room which was such a nice touch! Really made me feel like they want to go above and beyond. The night front desk associate was great and totally put up with some guys annoying questions like a champ. Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and night life which is awesome so you don't have to worry about transportation. Went to the Sunday Brunch and it was exceptional as always. Go hungry because there is A TON to choose from and it's all delicious! I learned how to make crepes from them!

Had a room on the top (24th) floor facing south: excellent view of the city. Sun came up over the mountains — beautiful! Friendly and sincere service. Very spacious room and very comfortable bed. Full bath, TV, dressers. Tram stop nearby; hotel is on the free section of the route, going up to Temple Square and the Convention Centre for free. Will return to stay again.

The Grand America Hotel is a great place to connect for business. Though I have yet to stay overnight, I go to the hotel several times a year for various professional events and meetings. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is very conducive to professional networking. The location is good, with very easy access to the Trax system. Driving can be a bit more congested because the main road in front of the hotel is only a single lane, but I haven't had trouble so far. The service is also wonderful, the staff is always respectful, friendly, and very helpful with anything I've ever needed.

Grand America, the place where Management is everything and the Employees are nothing. Me: Employees at the Grand America are encouraged to go to Human Resources if they have work related issues or complaints. I had some issues with my manager and went to Human Resources about it. The Director of Human Resources listened to me but did not see him make any notes, and did not give me the impression that they were concerned about my problem. I went to them for help and advise but I felt that they were not concerned with my problem. In my department I was harassed and follow constantly by my Supervisor C. T. Iʼm aware that there have been similar complaints in my department but the Manager did nothing to resolve them. As a result I feel that I was working in a hostile environment. Iʼm also concerned about the high rate of turn over of employees in a Guest Relations Department. Good people seems to go quit and go elsewhere after 2 or 3 months or less. It is hard to feel a sense of continuity when that happens. I think the guest can be better served by a Guest Relation Staff with more time and experience. The Management style seems to be one of micromanagement. I believe that the problem could be resolved by Human Resources and upper level Management. I have observed that Management protects "some employees" but does nothing for others. Why is this happening? It does seems to matter if the Manager is new or has more experience.

We ate at the lunch buffet and it was amazing. It had a large variety of cold options, a hot pasta station, a meat carving station with a tender and juicy flank steak, and a dessert tray that was enough to overwhelm a group of young girls there celebrating a birthday party. My wife and I really enjoy their fresh coffee served in large mugs with fresh cream. The best part of the meal was the most beautiful macaroons made fresh that day by the kitchens new pastry chef. We had tried them last year and been disappointed. This year they were perfect and tasted like they were fresh in from France. I'd definitely recommend the Garden Cafe to anyone looking for an upscale lunch buffet at a great price.

Fabulous! The grounds at The America Hotel are exquisite. Upon walking there is fresh scent of casa Blanca lilies and roses. The architecture here is inspiring and well thought out. The staff is stellar some of the best anywhere! The Rooms: Stunning, beautiful rooms with the most soothing wall paper. Balconies and views that are memorable. The Beds: Like sleeping on a cloud complete with body pillows and crisp fluffy white sheets. I could stay in bed all day and just watch the view. The bathtub: amazing! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a true relaxing experience. Amazing!

I loved the Big America. The room was perfect and very comfortable. I liked that it had a balcony in all the rooms. My wife liked that there was a bath tub in the bathroom. The pool was also amazing. Coming back again.

We stayed here for our wedding night and to celebrate our first anniversary. We loved it! It is so elegant and the rooms are gorgeous. I just wish I could afford to stay here more often :) Definitely worth the money for a special occasion. And the high-tea is fun for a girls outing (went there for a friend's birthday party a few months ago). Also, worth the price for the experience of feeling like royalty.

Never visitare the Grand America Hotel again.

I stayed for a night for my honeymoon. Treated us very well. The experience was very pleasant.

The Grand America offers a buffet of brunch. Offers a very large variety of food and everything tastes delicious. The service is almost perfect.

It's a nice hotel. We were needing a bottle opener and they helped us find one in the room. The beds are comfortable, but we received quite a few room charges that I didn't recognize. They also try to sell you access to their pool which isn't expensive but should be complimentary in my opinion.

We spent two nights here in June, the service was truly exceptional. Any staff member you come in contact with goes above and beyond. Very short walking distance to the light rail to the airport and many great restaurants. The atmosphere and amenities are worth the expense. My wife and I will come here every year. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone visiting Salt Lake City.

Amazing location. Just a few blocks from Temple Square and City Creek Mall. Right next to Trax courthouse station also. Beautiful European-style design and architecture. Great service and valet parking. Large, comfortable rooms. Downside: indoor pool access costs an additional 10 bucks a day. We had a great time!

Beautifully decorated hotel with Italian items. I love their suits. My husband and I spent a weekend there to attend the Opera so it was an incredible weekend. Rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean. With top notch details. I often go for afternoon teas! I LOVE to have tea in Grand America with my girl friends! The gardens, the music, the decor, the sophisticated atmosphere its delightful!

The Grand America in downtown Salt Lake City was incredible. My wife and I stayed a night in an executive suite for our anniversary and the room was beautiful and clean with great views of the Salt Lake valley. We also had a couple's massage at the Grand Spa and the facility, amenities, service and overall experience were opulent, relaxing and worth every penny. We wrapped up our stay with the Grand America's famous brunch and the meal was absolutely exquisite. Excellent overall service; the staff were all friendly and helpful.

We stayed for our anniversary and it was a great place. We had the Sunday Brunch, it is pricey but very good. The bread pudding was off the rails…

We had a lovely mothers day weekend lunch at the GrandcCafe. We were welcomed. The server invited us to view the buffet or have traditional service. The staff was attentive rhe food was delicious. The bread pudding was a delightful surprise. Thank you for letting us enjoy a wonderful afternoon to celebrate!

Beautiful hotel and great service. Old style elegance with modern amenities. The rooms have everything (except a coffee maker. Hint hint). Ask for a view on the east side of the hotel and enjoy a spectacular sunrise. The pools and spa are worth a stay here. Go to the Little American across the street for a 50s style diner.

Experience here was top-notch and completely amazing! Arriving, we were greeted at the door and given information about the city, shown where to park, and were able to very easily find our room. We were offered a room on the top floor for a small upgrade which we took. The view facing the mountains was completely beautiful and we loved every time we looked out the window. We wandered around a bit at night and loved seeing all the beautiful decor around the building. It seems they went to great lengths to create an absolutely beautiful hotel with marble on walls and floors, wood paneling, glass and crystal chandeliers, and beautiful furniture pieces throughout. The workmanship was amazing to look at and we loved the atmosphere. Since we were there to treat ourselves, we splurged and got room service in the morning. The food was also amazing, and the service was friendly and helpful. I got pancakes with delicious berries and butterscotch on the side, my wife got French toast which was served with cheese as well as berries and other fruit. We both got orange juice which apparently is freshly squeezed as you order it! I would absolutely recommend the entire experience, and we'll look back on a great memory anytime I see the building again.

A friend and I went to Afternoon Tea at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City to celebrate her birthday. It was such a lovely experience. The tea selections were wonderful and included types for every person and different flavors of hot chocolate for those non tea lovers. You are served a selections of expertly crafted tea sandwiches, scones, strawberry chantilly, and a three tiered dessert tray that has a delectable variety of treats. The setting for afternoon tea is in the Garden Cafe which looks out over the gardens and fountains in the courtyard of the hotel. It's spring so there was a gorgeous view of the blooming tulips and the main fountain. We were seated at a coffee table surrounded by a soft couch and cozy armchairs. We spent two hours grazing through the delicious food and sipping tea. You are given your own little tea pot that they will happily refill with hot water for you so your tea supply is almost endless. Our server was attentive, courteous, and did a fantastic job of describing each course of our meal. Each course was brought out just as we were finishing our previous one, precisely timed. She also kept our tea pots and water glasses full without us ever needing to ask It was a delightful experience that I plan on repeating as soon as possible.

Conferences are great. I have attended multiple conferences here for work and they have been fantastic. We had audio visual presentations and have had little to no issues with that. Very spacious. Food and catering is 5 star. Very amazing facilities.

Rooms are clean and amazing. The staff is extremely helpful. The Sunday brunch at the Garden Cafe is the bomb. Not cheap, but definitely worth going to if you have the chance. The spa is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. It's only an extra $10 per room for the day. Will definitely be going back.

Great place! Got the executive suite. The room was beautiful, and larger than my condo. The spa has a 360 shower that was a highlight of my year. Everyone we talked to here was charming and friendly. I want to live here.

5 star from check in to check out. It seems that they've covered all the bases. Classy decor with 5 star quality without the pretentiousness. Punctual in room dining. Great staff. Great views. Great rooms. Definitely a must when visiting Salt Lake City.

We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate the anniversary, we are very satisfied with your service, and the level of attention to detail here. Hotel is close to everything downtown, including some great restaurants. Hotel Suite is large, although some people may not like the decorating style, but we thought it was very charming. Swimming pool is large and the staff were very good. Sunday brunch is very good quality and variety, you don't need to eat all day! However, this hotel is my favorite part is the public bathroom on the first floor …

My wife and I stayed here back in the end of July. We loved it! It was really comfortable and nice. The staff was all super nice as well. Our room was a little warm and one of the maintance guys came to help us out pretty late at night. He was super nice and quickly got things working again. We will definitely be staying here agin this next summer.

Best hotel stay I have ever had. I've stayed in more expensive places, as well as many places less expensive and this was the best. Luxury while still maintaining practicality. They were great for traveling with a baby. They provided a crib and rocking chair, and offered more things that we didn't need. We spent an afternoon at the spa, and they arranged for chuldcare. The concierge that we called (Joan) actually took care of our daughter and was great. The spa was amazing as well. Pricey if you are just getting a treatment but worth it if you are there for an experience. Only ate at the hotel once, but the sat buffet was great. Brent was the best server I have ever had at a buffet. Did not know that was a category one could excel at but Brent did. The room was always comfortable and the staff was always happy and eager to help. This is the only hotel I will ever stay at in Salt Lake City.

The rooms were very nice! The bed was a little disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Also the fact that the TV only had standard cable with no payper view options or on demand seemed a little strange to me. Free Wi-Fi made up for that though. The macaroons were not nearly as delicious as reviews made them sound, but breakfast was. Over all enjoyable stay, worth the price? Probably not.

Other reviewer are absolutely spot on about this hotels luxury style. The rooms ate massive and the furnishings as well as the decide are above the rest. You can spend out and get a mega suite on the upper levels or just enjoy something more quaint and still get a fabulous view. As a local I get to take allot of high end clients to and from here and I've honestly have yet to hear a bad comment about this hotel. They obviously care about their guests.

Stayed here a few times and its always a fantastic experience. I still like the old feel of the Little Americas lobby better, but there's not a bad room at the Grand. Perfect for special occasions or when you have the kids and need some extra room, these are by far the biggest rooms you'll find. Parking is easy, staff is always great and there's plenty of shopping nearby.

We went to eat by Taste of Utah. 're enthralled the food.

My wife got us a room at the Grand for our anniversary. The rooms are large and we'll furnished with a rich decor. The building is pleasant to walk around since it was cold outside. The views from the rooms we had were great. One room we had faced west and another faced north from the 20th floor. Room service was great and both of us enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the comfort of our room. Check out time was at noon so I had plenty of time to enjoy the surprisingly good coffee.

Large classically decorated hotel in a great location. Very clean and nice workout area. The location is excellent with easy access to mass transit and walking distance to other downtown sights and eats.

Hands down the best hospitality. Our event was flawless as the staff was engaged and ready for anything, leaving us focused on entertaining our guest and presenting our business. Beautiful grounds and a rich environment.

I'm disturbed that you've chosen to host a hate group's conference next month. The World Congress of Families writes anti-gay legislation and actively lobbies against the LGBT community. Considering that Salt Lake City has a large and vibrant LGBT and Ally community, I'm sure many of your employees and guests fall into those categories. How must they feel knowing that you support such a hateful group? I won't be spending any of my money at your establishments, and as meeting planner I'll do my best to steer my clients toward more socially responsible venues.

My Fiance and I decided to stay here for a little getaway. We travel often and this hotel had by far, the best hospitality out of any place we had ever been before! The staff is professional, kind, and seemed like they loved their jobs and different roles at the hotel. When we arrived the two valet men opened by door and quickly got our bags and put them on a cart, once we entered the hotel another staff member brought us fresh homemade cookies (he actually said "I saw you pull up and quickly put these in the fridge for a moment to cool them down because they just got out of the oven! ) They were delicious! The front desk girl was extremely pleasant and remembered our names our whole stay. We ordered room service for breakfast and the man who delivered it was extremely polite and even asked if it would be alright if he poured my orange juice for me before he left. I have never felt so relaxed or respected! It was an amazing experience all around. We will definitely be back!

A super important package was sent and received at the bell desk but they never bothered to get it delivered it even let me know it was there! It was for the Tradeshow going on that week and when I called to see why it wasn't delivers after I got the tracking info that it was they said they are sometime too busy! That is ridiculous and it is their job to make sure anything for their guests get to them. You can guarantee I will never stay here!

My husband and I visited June 19-20, 2015. The hotel was grand on the outside, however the food wasn't very good, even if the prices were cheaper. Don't get the potatoes, or the yogurt parfet. The potatoes tasted nasty and the granola in the yogurt was stale. Also the sirloin steak had a gross sweet sauce. My room looked great at first, but there was some plumbing problems. The deep soaking tubs plug didn't work very well. It would leak through the plug and I had to refill the tub every couple minutes in order for it to stay full. This caused a problem because every time it took a while for the warm water to warm up so as I would fill it just a little all I would get is cold water, which caused for a cold bath very quickly after refilling it twice. Then the vanity sink, had a leak in the faucet knob for cold (right side), but only when I turned on the knob for warm water (left side). Got my make-up bag all wet, and ruined some make-up! It was subtle so I didn't notice it until it was too late! And a small thing, the T. V. Guide wasn't accurate. Not a big deal but a little annoying. Some of the channels didn't even exist.

Joan was amazing! I had family driving in from Chicago and we were unsure of time and schedules — Joan put everything together and finalized it ensuring my family the BEST vacation they could ever possible have in the short time they were here. Thank you Grand America for having Joan and thank you Joan — you are the best.

Be careful if you need a taxi from hotel to anywhere in slc or to airport they use a company called Haroon Transportation and they charge you more than a regular taxi or transportation company does and the staff doesn't care if they charge more.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand America Hotel for 4 nights while attending a conference. We have traveled all over the world and have stayed at some very nice hotels. The Grand America was among the best! The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is gorgeous, and our room. Wow! Marble bathroom, wonderful bed, and a gorgeous view! We loved every minute there and didn't want to leave.

$77.63 Thanksgiving feast was a major let down. The gravy and cranberry sauce was always depleted, the hash browns, stuffing, corn dogs, etc etc etc were all cold and unappetizing. The seafood at the seafood station tasted stale and bland and the absence of the sushi items mad me perplexed. Why did I pay a premium Holladay price compared to the traditional Sunday brunch thats less expensive and offers a larger variety of food. I honestly would have gone Sunday instead of sacrificing my appetite on subpar food. I would compare the cleanliness and freshness of the food to a 2 star hotel. I'm in disbelief thst a 5 Star reputable hotel had this quality of product and experience given to the customer.

My friends and I enjoy going to the afternoon teas. The atmosphere is incredable and so is the service. The only bad thing I can say is I believe the sandwiches are going down hill. I know that none of us like the gum drops either. Other than that everything is great.

Beautiful Hotel! We went here for a wedding last weekend (we did not stay the night here) and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the location. The garden area in the middle of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and worth the visit. The many restaurants are wonderful and the catering for the wedding was delicious. There is a toy store that kids and adults will love and the hotel makes for great photo opportunities for any engaged couples, wedding parties or visitors to Salt Lake.

I just experienced one of the finest afternoon teas with my Mother and others. Every detail made it a day to remember. The hotel is beautiful, the ambience was charming, relaxing harp music, a pleasant and friendly server and delicious food! Thank you Grand America Hotel for a wonderful day to cherish.
