I've been staying at this location for the past 2 years since its conveniently close by the MD Anderson hospital at university Drive and i45. First I was staying every 21 days and had hardly ever had any problems. In the past year I've been here every 3 months but my last 3 stays have been bad. About 6 months or so ago I had to ask for a different room since the mattress was old and you'll sink sitting on it. 3 months ago the room key wouldn't work every time I left the room. This time It was just the worst. Mattress is old and uncomfortable and the 2nd day the room wasn't cleaned at all and had to ask for clean trowels at front desk and today when cleaning lady came in we stepped out and it took her less than 15min to walk in and out of the room. And we found dead bugs on the carpet and all she did was and make the bed, didn't change the sheets, and put clean towels… no cleaning the tub at all. I'm disappointed and will look for a different and hopefully a cleaner location even if its farther away from the hospital.

Amazing, other than the fact that my boyfriend and I are staying for a good 2-3 months and they wouldn’t give us a king size bed but everything else is great! Staff is very friendly! Housekeepers have been amazing even with our animal!

The hotel is okay. Nothing really wrong with it. Just feels like a cheaper hotel with the room doors being on the outside.

Nice big older style hotel. Very good rates for a businessman. Breakfast is a little sparse. Rooms in beds are comfortable.

Temp was at 65 when we walked in. We love it! The place was clean and smelled great! Didn't like that the elevator wasn't working but enough positives to make up for that.

Polite desk staff, clean building and surroundings, plenty of eateries near by, comfy beds, appears recently remodeled/updated, elevators available, pool looked nice although we didn't have time to enjoy it. Easy access to highway but road noise wasn't noticeable in our room. Shuttle service to concert venue $10/person was convenient. TV wasn't working when we 1st arrived, but was addressed and fixed promptly. Fitness Center was disappointing — couple of stationary bikes and a treadmill. Overall, good deal and would stay here again.

Bobby Bhakti is a complete disgrace and a pathetic GM. This guy has no regard for customers and how they are treated. Instead of listening to feedback and understanding what's going wrong, he simply attacks the customers, shouts at them and supports his pathetic front staff. A truly disgusting experience from an atrocious hotel! Hands down the worst hotel owner in the USA!

Excellent experience at the La Quinta Inn in Shenandoah. Management and staff are friendly and helpful, our room was very clean and spacious, and it was easily accessible from the parking lot. I have paid more and gotten less at higher rated hotels, so for the price, this hotel is an exceptional value. I did not have the breakfast so I can't comment on that aspect, but it is a La Quinta, so you can always walk to the Denny's next door!

Water damage in the walls, mold in the door, roaches, and no way to tell which is hot and which is cold in the shower and on the sink made this visit absolute trash. The breakfast also made me extremely sick each day. At least they were nice when our fire alarm wouldn't stop going off.

It is a quiet and comfortable place.

I was forced to stay here because of the bad weather in Houston and could not drive back home. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and understanding about the situation. The hotel does have snacks and an available microwave and since all restaurants were closed this came in very handy, at a price. The room itself immediately smelled of marijuana even though they are all non smoking. The coffee maker in the room did not work at all. The "continental breakfast" here was pathetic at best. Coffee in the smallest cup known to man, bagels, slices of bread, cheerios, and corn flakes. Pretty much sums it up.

Booked online through their site and used the rewards points to obtain a free night. On the day of checking in, there was no reservation. Found out that their website may not book your visit right, but the staff here pulled some strings and worked their magic. Decent rooms and super staff who will make things right for anyone.

The hotel is very good, the location is excellent.

It's hard to find a hotel with decent rates, and this is the first time we stayed at a La Quinta. I gotta say, this has been a wonderful experience. As soon as we entered our room we were met by clean, fresh air. The carpets look like they are brand new, the beds smelled fresh, and felt like they were just washed. The room was nice and cool, everything was clean, especially the bathroom. The hotel staff is super friendly! If we're ever passing through The Woodlands again, we will definitely stay here.

Room was updated, the guy at front desk working evening was absolutely the best very professional but still had a sense of humor and very nice and outstanding customer service.

If you need a place to lay your head for a few days maybe a week then you can't beat the rate and location. But the room are not very clean or updated. But your in driving distance or even walking distance to the The Woodlands mall and restaurants around and shops. But the hotel don't offer much in amenities if are looking for that then better pay the extra $40 to $60 dollars and get something you like. But for longer term stays it's not worth it my shower doesn't even warm not even hot. I am here for work so if you are going to stay more then a week I say pay the extra if you can.

We have been staying in La Quinta Inns for the last two months from Arizona to Texas because we have two dogs. Unfortunately this one was old and not clean (mold in the shower, paper thin towels and room smelled). I couldn't wait to leave. The front staff was ok but training new staff and I was ignored until I made it known I was the only one standing at the corner of the front desk (in clear site) waiting to turn in my suitcase for them to store for my trip to the FANTASTIC mall. (the only thing that made this stay enjoyable)

Hotel is old in the bathroom toilet had urine on it coffee machine did not have any sugar cream Karma musty odor coming from the AC and he feeling in the bathroom had been wet and was drooping and possible asbestos material were exposed. The pool looks clean the surrounding areas in the hallways had garbage cans that were running over with garbage. The breakfast was spread out between two rooms so we thought there was only bagels and coffee and Waffles. At 7:45 in the morning they were out of creamer. There was one garbage can for the entire room. I most likely would not stay here again and some of the guests were a little bit scary. The price was fair but compared to Alvarado La Quinta which was cheaper than this one and was four times nicer!

So far the most pet friendly hotel I ever been here in Texas, hope that always stays that way, because we need places that we can have our 4 legged babies with us. 100 thousand points for the tolerance & love towards our 4 legged kids. And another 100 thousand points for welcoming all those that lost their homes and everything that they ever owned in life during Hurricane Harvey… myself included. A hotel that is kind to those in need of kindness, and understands that dogs & cats are FAMILY members 2… is a dream come true of a hotel. Just a suggestion if I may… get rid of the carpet and put some tiles or even concrete can be made to look like beautiful looking tiles. Why tiles instead of carpeting?! Well, it is way easier to clean if an irresponsible dog or cat parent let their fur kids to pee & poo on the carpet, is soooooo much easier to clean these type of messes with NO carpet.

Convenient, Convenient, Convenient! Location is perfectly located to the highway, mall, pavillion, restaurants and basicaly everything you will need. Breakfast included and a laundry facility with a Denny's in the parking lot. What more do you need.

Clean rooms, comfy beds, and a very helpful staff! Would definitely return if I'm ever in Houston again!

Old, neglected, dirty.

Freeway offset, easily noticed from the road. Rooms are comfy and support a family of four easily. Service at La Quinta is what sells it, they are super nice and quite understanding to their tenants.

This is one of the older LaQuinta properties but it was clean & the landscaping well maintained. It appears to be recently updated in decor. I didn't find the beds comfortable, trying both in the room. I would've liked to have seen more fruit offered for the breakfast. The staff were friendly & helpful. Dennys is next door & offers a discount to the guests.

Stayed here due to overnight power outage. Front desk was courteous in getting is a room last minute and so late. It was only an o/n stay so I hit the bed and checked out early before heading to work. Rooms were clean, air conditioning was cold, and beds were comfy!

The first room I was in had a faulty fire alarm. The second was fine, but instead of immediately offering a different room, the attendant said I should go back to the room and take out the battery. Friends and I were not too thrilled.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very nice and clean. Only drawback is constant traffic noise from I45, but not unbearable. Would stay there again.

Strange way to get into the parking lot but it's nicer inside than it looks. Has everything needed. Nice decor. Dennys in the same parking lot is a plus.

The phone's didn't work in my room. TV, guide didn't work after my first day. Rooms very clean and staff friendly. Very quiet.

It's OK for a hotel. Not the best but not the worst either. It is also pet friendly. For a two bed room it's about 75 dollars. Free breakfast nothing to complain about.

Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms have recently been remodeled and were very nice for the price we paid. I would definitely recommend this hotel for an inexpensive and comfortable stay.

The swimming pool has a little water in it and is dirty. One part of the room is cool the other part is hot as hell. The picture of the rooms is a fraud. I'm in a non smoking room but it smell like 10 pounds of cigarettes has been lite up in here. Smell like mold in the room. It was half cleaned. The tub is nasty. Who puts a coffee pot in the restroom? The bed is uncomfortable. If I could add photos I would so in a hurry to leave. Motel 6 is better right about now!

For a budget hotel, they were incredibly clean and nicely decorated. The bathrooms were spacious, not cramped like most hotel bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was friendly, the breakfast was plentiful and of good quality, and there were no bugs, and that is about all I can say on the positive side. However, the trashiness of the place was terrible. I have pictures of trash that never moved during my 21 day stay. Trash was everywhere outside and not just a piece or two. I was here due to the recent flooding in the Houston area. And because I have pets that were displaced as well I chose the La Quinta. Now, I do not expect five-star quality in a La Quinta but I also do not expect a dump. My room was only cleaned a total of 4 times during my stay. There was a large mold area in the ceiling of the bathroom that was never addressed. And the windows have not been washed in 10 years. Just so you know I have never written a review before. But hey, if this helps them clean the place mores the better.

This hotel is great! Staff was awesome! If you are coming to this area try to book this one. The one in Conroe is horrible!

We are returning home from a long vacation and tho we were a bit worried when we pulled up to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised when we asked to see our room before paying. They have done an awesome job on the renovation of this hotel inside the rooms! The bath is really big and more than enough room for two people to move around in. The coffee inside the office is totally delicious and fresh, when we returned from our supper at the Cheesecake Factory. (you must eat here if u never have! ) I got a gluten free bun on my bacon cheeseburger and I would have never known it was gluten free. The burger was HUGE! And very delicious — one of the best I've ever had! (They offer lots of Gluten free options as well as chocolate cheesecake to die for! ) very short drive down the service rd. Is a plus. Over all I think for the price you will be delighted. (especially in the woodlands as every motel we checked on here was very expensive) If it had been very cold or we had small children then the outdoor entrances might have been a bit of a problem … But since we don't, it was fine. (the noise from the interstate was a little loud but not something we couldn't handle) The staff was very nice and helpful and he went out of his way for us! Great experience!

The rooms seemed pretty new and recently updated. We requested extra linens multiple times and had to ask the front desk three times. One of the staff members was very nice and the other was rather rude. Overall nice experience.

Very quiet and pretty rooms. Maintenance staff was in the middle of a work order in the room for a missing light bulb upon check in, but cheerfully postponed that. Front desk lady had no idea how to sign up new customers for the rewards program, but was otherwise fine. Most rooms are exterior entrances, some are inside. I had a corner room with a high ceiling and a spiffy green and white color scheme.

This hotel is comparable to an hourly prostitute hotel you might find in the hood. They gave me back my credit card, but kept my DL and I didn't notice, so now I've been trying to get them to mail it to me with no success. My door would not open properly, and the whole facility was very low class to be charging over $100. Very poor quality for what you have to pay, and should be an embarrassment to the La Quinta name.

The beds were comfortable, that part was good. First, I stated several times at check in that I wanted to pay cash for the room. The guy asked for my debit card, I assumed that was just in case there were extra charges. He never took my cash even though I had it out. I figured I would just pay cash in the morning. The next morning we came down to the worst continental breakfast I have ever seen. We didn't even get anything, but decided to go next door to Denny's. Upon check out I told the guy once again that I wanted to pay cash. A friend reserved her room and mine and we were given a total price, she wasn't with me when I checked out and they ended up charging us full rate. Still, I just paid the extra and left. When I got home and looked at my bank account they had charged the FULL amount of the room to my debit card! When I called I was told that was a hold that would disappear because they had cleared it. That is NOT a hold. That is a charge! They didn't tell me that they had already charged my debit card. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and have NEVER had that happen before. So, first they didn't listen to me when I told them I wanted to pay cash, then they overcharged me and then they lied to me. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

Nice place, they were doing some renovation but the staff and Mike and the contractor guys were really considerate and helpful. The computer room was being renovated but Mike let me use the printer in his office to print out some documents. Great bunch of guys.

Great place to stay if it is only a one night thing. I live in Dallas and stay in this motel when I come to see concerts in The Woodlands throughout the year. It's not the best, but I have definitely stayed in far worse. Good for a day or two, not so great for any longer than that.

Until yesterday, this hotel was my favorite choice for yearly conference we have in The Woodlands in March (LPSC). We booked the room, as usual, came in for 8-day stay. We got completely smocked room. It stinks so bad, I have got a headache in 30 mins. No help from the front desk, all they do is promise to shampoo it and claim, they have no smocking rooms. And even for the clean-up we already had to ask twice. I'll update this, if anything changes for better.

Amazing Customer Service and Clean Rooms.

Usually I don't write reviews, but just as a way of warning people, I had numerous problems with my visit. Most importantly, I must have been attacked by bugs in my room as I was sleeping, because the upper half of my body was covered in around 50 bites. At first I thought I had acquired a few bites outside and didn't worry about it, but the next couple days I spent indoors at a nearby meeting, and still both mornings I woke up with even more bites. There are so many it's not really possible to tell what insect made them, but they're not mosquito bites because I'm also having an allergic reaction to them. By the time I realized that I had to be getting the bites while in the room, I was already leaving since my stay was (luckily) short. In addition, the internet here was very spotty and extremely slow. Do *not* stay here if you need to access the internet for your job; it would be better to pay money for reliable service. When I was here the hotel was very full and some of the breakfast items (cereal, muffins) were out of stock, even early in the morning. The towel bar in the room was broken and kept falling off the wall. In short, I would stay someplace else if there is any way at all you (or your business) can afford it, and there are other inexpensive options in the area. I personally will never stay here again.
