Under renovation and they have to many things to fix … smells and carpets aren’t clean.

Just the cost of parking doesn’t seem right, I get it if you’re not staying at the hotel; but as a hotel guest I don’t see the reason why they should be charging. I’ve been a platinum member of Marriott for years and now since they merged with SPG, I’ve been checking out their hotels and honestly not impressed at all. Hopefully things will get better, Marriott spoils the members pretty good that when stuff like this happens, it’s just bad!

So the staff that checked me in was pretty kool as well as the bartender. But for the price of the room I don’t feel it’s fair to charge for parking as well. On top of that people who aren’t guests get to park in the same area I have to pay for so they take up all the spots close to the door. The room was ok but for the price I think it could have been nicer. I would give it a solid 3.5 stars ⭐️

I stayed overnight, arriving around 6p Saturday and leaving around 6a Sunday. I didn't interact with anyone because my stay was so short and the room was prepaid. The hotel is visible at night and located just off the frontage road. My room was large — 1 king-size bed, 2 nightstands, 1 arm chair, 1 floor lamp, 1 large flat screen TV, 1 extra long desk with 2 chairs, several trash cans, 1 vanity area opposite 1 small (ish) closet, and a small bathroom. My rating is a 3, but I gave higher marks because of my brief stay. I am fairly low maintenance with my travels, so I only "need" 2 things in my accommodations — a good mattress and a breakfast option. Four Points had neither. The mattress felt (and sounded) like a thick, vinyl hospital mattress with sheets on top. I woke up with sore shoulders and a tense back. The breakfast options were a $16/pp buffet or a la carte items ranging from $8 $11. It was an okay experience, but I wouldn't be able to stay longer than those 12 hours.

Very clean room. Very large. Facilities were well maintained and the staff friendly. Excellent location, incredibly affordable. Bummers: had to pay additional for parking and the air conditioning in the room didn't seem to go below a certain temperature.

Right near the Freeway, easy to get in and out and close to down town. If you are a light sleeper you may hear the Freeway all night. Rooms are clean but not as up to date as other hotels but nice enough. The staff are amazing and helpful.

My original room had a stain and weird odor on the bed. I was offered a new room and 500 reward points for the inconvenience. I feel like like more could've been done considering it takes thousands of points to get one free night. I will definitely take this experience in mind when booking another stay I the area.

Great hotel to stay at for the price. It's a but of a older hotel but it has been renovated nicely. Location is not th greatest but definitely a cheaper nice hotel for the area.

Nice, professional staff. Very courteous and helpful. Room was clean and pleasant, as were all facilities. Air conditioner was very loud and had trouble cooling the room effectively. Traveling companion reported her room a/c was fine; so our problem was probably unique to the room. Otherwise no complaints. Levy Park next door great for kids.

The rooms were nice and it wasn’t too loud being next to the freeway. The Wi-Fi did not work in my room. However, the staff were really helpful filling up my tire when it was low on air. The AC does have an economy option if the noise bothers you that is significantly quieter. Overall a good hotel.

The hotel was really nice & clean but the staff is what makes it an extra special stay. We stayed one night and were treated like we lived there. Monica (front desk) was absolutely A+++! She knew who I was every time I went down even remember that one of my girls didn’t feel good and asked about her the next morning. The bartender and waiter also could not have been nicer and again remembered us next morning when we were leaving! Would definitely recommend and will stay her in June when we are back for another concert!

Great location and a nice staff but many negatives. The bathroom was not clean. One day they forgot to leave towels. The pillows were terrible. The restaurant and snack areas are subpar. The printer did not work for plane boarding passes.

Beautiful hotel. The location is great but getting in and out of here at certain times of the day was painful! Traffic is congested in this area. The pool was closed but the workout facilities were fine. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The employees were awesomely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The food was mediocre, we ate there once but there are so many other places to eat. The location is great! We were able to avoid the interstate in able to get around. I will stay here again when we get back here to Houston.

Nice and very clean. Large room with a king. Friendly staff, stylish decor. Pretty comfy bed. Lots of noise from the highway on the 9th floor. Next time I come up for an appointment, I'll see if there is a room available on the other side of hotel.

This was a pretty bad set up. Supposedly recently renovated but you definitely couldn't tell. The only reason for the 2 star instead of 1 is that the staff was friendly. This is totally about the condition of the hotel. I'm not going to rant on, I'll let the pictures do the talking. What I'll say is that I expected better from the hotel and the brand. I stay at SPG properties on the regular, probably 35-40 nights a year on the low end, so I'm familiar with what to expect. This was a total disappoinment…

Good place. Parking is $10. Around Rice University.

Just don't. Old and run down. Duct tape holding down the carpet in halls. Faucets coming from walls. Missing grout. Marginally "clean" room — a hair that wasn't mine, splatters on bathroom door, crust in corners. But it smelled like cleaning had occured. I've had better water pressure in hostels in eastern Europe. The 2 stars are for the sweet people at the front desk. They really try their best given the shabby accomodations.

Good deal, I did not like that charge breakfast.

Nice room, big tv, bigger bed. Decent bar and kitchen. Friendly, helpful staff. Shuttle service within 3 miles. Would stay again.

Comfortable access, easy to reach and meets the standard of hotels in the USA. It is not expensive and is well equipped (with just and necessary). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Older property, but still looks good overall. Parking costs daily. The air conditioner sounded like a semi truck parked in my room and there was no way to turn it off. I'm not exaggerating about how loud it was. Twice in the night it shut off for a few minutes and I was actually pleased to hear the sounds of the freeway outside. It was so loud that I couldn't sleep. I forfeited a secind night and there were no refunds. I booked another hotel somewhere else. Shame on the staff as there is no way they were unaware of the air conditioner issue prior to my booking.

The location was easy to find and right off the freeway. Very easy to get to everything we needed. The room was clean and moderately equipped. Great water pressure! The bathroom door didn't close, the bathroom didn't have a fan, one of the lamps didn't work. Excellent service at the desk, and the lobby was really lovely.

Even though you can see this Four Points from I-69 (formally known as I-59) it's kind of quaint, but really makes up for it in the awesome staff, their cleanliness, and not to brag… their fantastic smelling restrooms. Now if that's just a little of how good they are, this is a must stay.

Location was good, room was in a little disrepair (you have to walk all over the room to turn the lights on, big cracks along the floor in the bathroom where floor meets the wall — visible gap. Plug-ins on the desk were so loose fitting, my phone wouldn't charge. ). It seems like an older hotel that got a facelift in key places (lobby, restaurant, rooms for the most part), but not everywhere. Room service was quick, food was good. Overall, pretty good stay.

Room have a pretty awful smell as you enter the rooms, had to move rooms a few times because of unknown sounds in the account ducts? Sounded like some one through a bucket of bolts in there. Beds were okay, staff was rude as well when we checked in we had to get the manager involved. Only nice thing I have to say about my stay was the bar down stairs was good.

Wouldn’t recommend staying here… outdated rooms, you have to pay to park and the mediocre breakfast is additional costs as well. This hotel used to be great but has declined over the last few years.

Reasonable size room with comfortable bed, desk and sitting area. Bathroom could be larger and would be useful if a fridge was available in the room. Overall however the room is comfortable with good Wi-Fi access. Hotel bar/restaurant is reasonably priced and offers a good selection of food and drink including many draught beers from local breweries. Fitness facilities are not great with the gym only consisting of 4 different exercise machines and some free weights. Probably fine if you are just staying for one or two nights but any longer and the lack of variety would be detrimental. Staff are very friendly and helpful and as such I would generally recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Houston.

Rooms are decently clean. It's $10 a day to park. They don't have a safety inspection for elevator labeled in the elevator, which is weird!. Lobby looks new, everything else dated. Didn't get bed bugs. Good place to sleep overnight, and close to the nice Galleria mall.

Pretty nice place! Spacious remodeled rooms and friendly service. Great place to spend the night if your girlfreind kicks you out for the night!

The managers and staff have really gone out of their way to make sure we have everything we need after coming off of 12 or more hour shifts. We are exhausted but thankful for the hospitality they have shown me and my fellow deputies. The hurricane is putting higher demands on their staff as it is on every business over the last couple of days. This hasn't stopped them from doing everything they can to make sure our stay is as relaxing as possible and with a smile on their face. We can't thank you enough!

Absolute worst hotel experience ever. Girlfriend needed a place to stay after a concert close by and didn't want to chance driving back late through hurricane Harvey after the city is already evacuating. The concert, however, gets postponed so obviously we wouldn't be making the several hour drive for her to simply spend the night in a hotel room. After 2-3 hours on the phone with over 6 different various hotel workers from cashier to management hearing all kinds of different things on her refund were told by the manager sorry there's nothing they can do. Secondly I know she didn't realize till I told her but their website clearly states no one under 21 may reserve and stay, which she is, but upon realizing that was told by the same manager that it was no problem even though she is 18 and has no one of age, they gladly still took the money from her card. Didn't even get to the hotel and already know never to trust this company.

Missing some basic things like a mini fridge and microwave for any extended stays. The fitness room appears to not have any air conditioning which made it untenable on a summer time stay. Otherwise the staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

This place was great, the staff are so nice. There's a bar, great food from the menu. Morning breakfast was very good, lots of selections from hot & cold. I felt safe and enjoyed our 4 days here at Four Points by Sheraton. There are restaurants nearby such as Carrabas 1 block away and a movie theater 3 blocks up from the hotel. Overall, if we ever visit Houston again, we'll definitely be back.

The staff is awesome. They have a bar. The rooms are adequately sized, beds are comfy, good water pressure. Lol all good things you look for in a hotel. Breakfast is *NOT* included & honestly for $15 you can find better elsewhere. But, the location is great. There is lots of shopping close by & great restaurants too.

This hotel was expansive and hard to get to. In conjusted part of town and on to of paying out the ass for this room for four days, we also had to pay for parking. 10 dollars a day. They served wonderful breakfast, but guess what ten dollars a head + drinks witch were 2.75 a cup. No refills. The building looked good in the lobby and dinning area, however the elevators and hallways were in need of attention. The rooms were as well. They do offer room service, and yes we did order. It was cold and expansive. Would NOT stay here ever again.

I assumed parking would be included in our stay but for some reason they feel it is necessary to charge $10 extra on top of your room fees. And they allow non hotel guests to park there also. When returned after a night out, there was only a few spots and those that were left were too small. Such a hassle when you drive a larger vehicle. Room was all right but just not as nice as we thought it would be. And the small breakfast buffet provided cost extra too.

Great location, albeit a bit noisy from the Interstate nearby. We enjoyed comfortable beds and a clean room with a view of the roads. Plenty of parking in the back and has a decent bar. Breakfast is on the expensive side, and generally doesn't seem to be worth the money. Great (and an abundance of) restaurants in the area surrounding the hotel.

The lobby itself is very nice, but parking is $10 a night even if you're a guest with a room. Parking spaces were cramped. Nice pool area and workout room. The rooms themselves need a lot of final detailing work. Corners and edges of walls and ceiling were terribly uneven, cracked, droptile ceiling was falling apart. The in hotel dining was nice and the food was great. Staffing was very friendly and professional.

I had to book in a room in a hurry so I didn't have the chance to do my usual search and check out the reviews first. I will never book this hotel again! I have stayed at a 4 point in Houston before and it was so nice but this one is old and smelly. When you first walk in it will fool you into thinking it's really nice, maybe there was some renovations made but when we got onto the floor of our room everything was old and looked cheap. The carpet is horrible and very old. The room smelled as well and looked cheap. It felt like I was in a motel not a hotel. There is $10 a day parking which is ridiculous for this small hotel and the parking area is very very small. The air conditioner was loud and kept up up. The t. V. Had such poor quality and resolution we ended up watching a movie in our ipad. If you have low expectations of a hotel then hey this is the spot for you. Also, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for apparently no reason at all. I called down to the front desk and she didn't even know what was going on.

There are two different reasons I do not recommend the 4 points of houston. First on the list is that our room did not get cleaned nor did we get fresh linens the second day of our stay. Upon arriving back to the room we noticed the do not disturb sign placed on our door. It is our intuition that housekeeping did not want to service the room and put the sign on our door. The second reason is that we awoke to the fire alarm going off at 2:30 am to find water rushing out of the light fixtures in the lobby. Apparently there had been a sprinkler malfunction and the whole building had to evacuate. Nothing was done in terms of acknowledgment or the offer of any sort of compensation for the trouble.

Horrible experience… I lost my wallet with all of my cards at the airport upon arrival to Houston. I had to work and run errands from that point and arrived for check in at 2:00 AM… Night clerk informed me that a cash deposit would not suffice. I tried to pay with a prepaid card and the hotel added an additional 20% to my check in fee. Ventured around Houston and on my phone to finally figure out the problem. Checked into a pissy smelling nasty a** room with brown stains on the bed sheets and trudged back down stairs (which smells like it is inhabited by a wild pack of dogs) … re-located to something fairly better but still less than two star quality. Never staying here again it's horrible. The night clerk could be a lot more professional, accommodating, and less ratchet.

Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Location is close to the highway so makes getting around convenient and simple. They have weekday happy hours and a well stocked breakfast area. Complimentary coffee and open parking are nice benefits.

Awful! Wish I could give less than 1 star. Recommend staying anywhere but here. First, I booked a room with 2 double beds and paid an extra $30 a night for the room with 2 beds upon check-in I was informed that there were no double rooms available when I booked the room for 4 people. I then asked if we could receive a roll away bed and 30 min later they call the room telling me there are no roll away beds available. Second, our toilet ends up backing up all over into the room leaving dirty toilet water all over the floor. I then asked the front desk to place us in a different room and they said no rooms were available yet online there was availability. They told us that they would send an "engineer" to fix the toilet. 45 minutes later someone finally arrives to fix the toilet. He stops the toilet from backing up into the room but no one comes to mop the floor. Please do yourself a favor and never stay in this hotel sleep outside if you must it would honestly be more enjoyable than staying in this slum.

When I arrived, the people there were very responsive and quick to provide a room key. The room itself was fairly typical for a mid range hotel though the bathroom appeared a bit dated and run down. Bed was comfortable, internet was fast, and the TV worked. Not much else you can ask for for a quick overnight stay.

Rooms are alright, nothing special. There is NO refrigerator. Room utilities are cheap. Customer service AND room service are AWFUL! Was not pleased with their service at all. Called and called and called for 20 min, with the room phone AND our cell phone trying to get a hold of ANYONE on any line.

The negatives outweighed the positives at this hotel. Upon checking in, I noticed that my room had a loud mechanical sound that sounded something like a vibrating high pitched vacuum merged with a hairdryer. I could not track down the source of the noise (it was not the noise of the air system) and asked to be moved to a different room, which also had the same issue. Maybe my ears were overly sensitive, but I found the noise (on floors 9 and 8) distracting and was not anything that I had ever experienced in a hotel stay before. The furniture in both rooms was modern, but noticeably well worn. The tub and shower wall in my second room had very large yellow stains. I should also note that this hotel is located right next to the freeway so highway noise (while it doesn't bother me) is noticeable. There was not a microwave or mini fridge in either room, but it is worth noting that I did not specifically request them. On a positive note, the hotel staff I encountered were incredibly friendly and professional.

Everything is phenomenal. Parking is simple and quick, food is delicious, drinks are tasty, staff is always friendly, and hotel and surrounding area is very clean. Also, snacks are available at the front desk along with a mini-fridge.

Staff has been great, room is nice and clean with a decent view. Food in the hotel is good, parking must be validated which is difficult but understandable due to the area. Would recommend the stay.

Very nice hotel. Perfectly located and it has a full bar with great beers on tap and great food. Beds were comfy and rooms cold, just the way I like it.

The service is awesome here, they really do take care of you. We were trapped in the flood once, and the staff went above and beyond to help us all weekend! Also, the price is shockingly affordable for the location! Rooms are standard, nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either.

Woke up with blood all over the comforter and sheets comforter & sheets. Checked in really late. So went to sleep. My husband was ready to go early in the morning. One of the beds had someone's hair & public hair on the sheets. Other Bed had blood on the sheets & comforter. I was Pissed off.

I loved it. It was clean, nice, cheap for what the offer. The staff is great. You could be driven free around 3 miles from the hotel. It's really confortable. I really recommend this place.

The rooms were nice yes (the bed overall decorations) but the hallways, rooms and restrooms need work it just has a weird funky musky smell and the could use a better quality in cleaning whoever does that. The staff was my biggest problem not that informative and about the parking and the extra 100$ you have to put down on a already paid room once you show up and I'm still hoping I get that 100$ back because I read on another review that my 100$ goes to amenities — _ — think of the inconvenience that causes for others that's 100$ they cant use to enjoy visiting Houston. my complaints: -Inform people booking of the 100$ deposit -Inform people 10$ a day for parking and EXPLAIN HOW THE TICKET WORKS! -This place needs a deep clean in carpet restrooms for sure and air freshener! I would like to stay here again but these things need fixing and it seems other reviews complain of the same thing does the management team not care about their hotel and peoples feed back? Go look and inspect what people are talking about we are trying to help you out.

I have been staying at the Four Points Sheraton for the last few years. Prior to the change in management several months ago, I liked the price point and the convenience the hotel afforded in terms of commuting to work on Friday which is located in the Galleria area. Post change in management, I thought of moving to a different location — mainly because the price hike is not justified by the superficial upgrades that have been made there. So I wont enthusiastically recommend it. The only — the ONLY reason I keep coming back and overpaying for my stay there is because of the service provided by John Vieva — he is very attune to my needs — he has my keys ready as soon as I check in, he is super courteous and really makes me feel welcome there. Also the breakfast staff is also very efficient and courteous. Occasionally he will sneak a special incentive of breakfast voucher (even though I dont use it most of the time) in my access card envelope.

This hotel was HORRIBLE. I wouldn't even give it 1 star but I had to in order to post this review. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone if it was the last place on earth to stay. First of all, priceline and other sites where you can get great hotel discounts advertises this hotel as 3.5 stars. That's false advertising. When I'm done writing this review I will go to the other sites to write my review there as well. Myself and my family (husband and 2 teenagers) stayed here from May 27th thru May 31st 2015 for my nephews graduation. I had other family members who stayed here as well and they were just as disappointed as we were. If I could've cancelled my reservation without penalty I would have. The rooms with double beds only have full sized beds and that's throughout the whole hotel. These beds are not big enough for 2 people to sleep in. The room was filthy and nasty. Lets start with the bathroom. The paint in the shower was chipping on the wall and around the drain. The shower head was clogged and filthy as well as mold along the floor. The toilet was disgusting and the toilet water was yellow. The beds were not clean or safe and sat on wood frames which were duck taped with a metal frame on top of the wood which was not attached and hung over the sides of the bed. My husband cut his foot on it. The window in the room is never cleaned we couldn't even see out of it. The elevators always smelled of marijuana and the hotel was filled with unsavory characters.

RUN! I arrived at this hotel May 8th 2015 for a mini vacation and 1st visit to Houston upon registration the young African American Receptionist was loud and rude. She went on to tell me all the negative things about Houston nothing uplifting at all. She then charged me a hidden $100.00 fee that is used for amenities during your stay such as parking, meals or damage to the property. Got Although, I was charged for parking $10.00 a night I never received the remainder of the $100.00 be careful of hidden fees. Secondly, I checked in late in the evening on May 8th, so I was exhausted and hurried to get settled and relax so I did not check the cleanliness of the room. The next morning I started my day as I pulled the cover back to arouse a red blood stain reflected from the white comforter. It was hidden at the foot of the bed. So I removed all linen and comforter from the bed and left it at the door. I left for tourist attractions and was gone majority of the day so by noon I call the hotel to remind the housekeeping staff that I had left I bloody comforter and linen at the door because it needed to be changed. When I returned to the hotel that night I inspected the tidiness of the room and also the comforter with blood stains and low and behold the same comforter was put back on my bed the had the same blood stain in the same spot. I called management and he assured me this would not happen again.

Over the past year I have stayed in countless hotels in many states and many cities; this is by far the worst of them. When I asked if I could use a microwave, I was told that it was a $10 charge. When I asked why they charge for use of a microwave I was told "The nicer the hotel, the fewer amenities". Seriously, a Sheraton employee told me that! When I asked where the vending machines were, they said I had to go to the bar where I paid $2.50 for a warm can of Coke. My boss received mail at the front desk and was charged for the hotel accepting a package. We learned a lesson this trip, don't stay at this hotel. Ever.

I have never stayed at a hotel where so many people where complaining about the same issues. The bathroom was terrible, the walls were stained like there was mold growing on the wall. The tub faucet was running and could not be turned off. The drain where the stopper was was very corroded. The a/c crapped out a couple of times. The good thing was the location. I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

I recently stayed at this property for 4 nights and was very pleased. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were very helpful and the location was excellent for me. The complimentary shuttle and internet were much appreciated. Plus the price was excellent.

If I could give this a zero star I would. The hotel is being renovated but most of the rooms are still old and smell odd. On top of that they now charge guests $5 per box shipped to their hotel so if you are a business traveler skip this place. Not worth it.

Called and asked for a emailed receipt and was told the process takes 24 hours. I have never heard anything like that in my life, that is just poor customer service all around. Co-worker called for the same thing and received attitude from front desk. Room smelled and Air conditioner was loud.

Will NEVER stay here again! The worst customer service. The room we were staying in started flooding at 3am and they had a party going on next to the other room and police had to come out. They offered us free breakfast but that morning they had no clean bowls, no bacon it was ridiculous.

Party on the 9th floor, room phone does not work. Hotel is noise and dirty due to must need renovation! 3 am Pipe broke and flood my closet and clothes. Ask for a refund, they said bc they washed my clothes and gave free breakfast, they feel like they did enough.

Every thing is great except parking.

This Four Points by Sheraton has to be the best Category 3 of Starwood Hotels yet. They have the best services, restaurant by a Gourmet Chef, 20 Beer on Tap and Wine Bar, for a Hotel in this Category, all managed by a super GM and F&B Manager. I would recommend this Hotel for both Business and Pleasure with hands down over all others in this city of Houston. A great experience.

Average room. Horrible service. A/C didn't work well. They sold my double bed room and stuck me with a king. If you're two guys traveling for a living that's a big problem. Will not be back.

Wouldn't stay again. The TV's are rigged so you can't plug in your own laptop. The video source will auto reroute to their crappy low definition cable.

BED BUG : ( The front desk was nice and helpful but the room has bed bug and a bit moldy. Not too happy with the place :/.
