Was in town doing some shows and having a well kept hotel for a reasonable price is always a blessing. I enjoyed my stay and everything was very pleasant and well taken care of. Great rooms with black out Curtains! Great counter service too with snacks available for purchase.

Friendly staff and a amazing customer service.
Clean rooms, outdoor pool and fitness room.
Nice breakfast.
Very good located.

Good Clean hotel located right off Westhemier. Many food options available close to the hotel. Rooms are nice and clean and seems to have been renovated as they look like new. Good Breakfast.

We stayed here with my family for couple of days. The hotel looks like it has been upgraded. Right when you enter you feel welcomed and the staff is courteous. Room on the lower floor was clean and looked new. Breakfast was perfect with some hot options. Overall a good family hotel. Will come back soon.

Very nice hotel very impressed with the improvements that La Quinta as a company has some over the years with their design and style changes. Love to see a bit better breakfast options but overall a very good stay.

Stayed May 2018. Comfortable, exceptionally clean and quiet hotel with an outstanding staff! Walking distance to so many restaurants and shopping, and free shuttle service to wherever you want to go within 5 miles. FREE breakfast bar is loaded with all the good stuff… eggs, waffles, muffins, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, juices, and more! The top of the line beds are brand new and super comfortable, and the sheets are pristine soft 100% cotton. Lots of pillows to choose from. The pool and spa are clean and private, and very refreshing! All the amenities of a 5 star hotel at an affordable price. I love this LQ my new home away from home!

Echoed what Maria said about the renovation. I don't normally mind about renovation, but then the internet went out for entire day, can't even work at the room; and then the Cable went out. Then the people working on the tiles on the elevator, forced to take the stairs from the top. There are remodel debris all over the places, nails, staples. It is a bit unsafe. The electrical outlet is not covered. The store is not open with anything. Worse thing is when I check-in, they said all our rooms are renovated on the upper floor, I hope you enjoy it. I walked in the room, big stain on the wall. Feels like all the inconvenience for nothing — a bit disappointed. They should let people know when or before they book. They are charging the same but with so much inconvenience and safety issues.

This hotel is in the middle of being renovated. Floors are unfinished very few channels available on tv. Carpet pieces still in our room as well as metal moldings. We should have been told this before we booked. I can’t get a manager we’re told he just left.

My family of four arriving (3 of us) from a long trip from CT to Houston where exhausted and when we walk into the hotel ready for some R&R we walked into the hotel lobby completely in disarray due to renovations. There wasn't even a front desk just tables full of dust with a computer to serve as the check-in. The front person was pleasant and as we start our way up we notice that it isn't just the front lobby but rather the entire first floor being renovated. The room appeared to be clean and we were very tired so we decided to just go ahead and stay. Now, my husband goes downstairs for extra pillows and sees a cockroach. He kills it and thinks hey a roach. Well that wasn't the end of the roach capades as he killed another and we found one outside by the pool too. Next day my husband kills two more this time by our room. That was enough already… my husband complains and he is told that they sprayed but would need to call the exterminator again. They knew about the roaches! What the hell. My husband lets them know we will be looking for another place and wanted to cancel the rest of the days. We wanted out asap! Long story shorter We were not fully refunded the first night stay because we stood in this roach infested Hotel. We did get out and ended up in a much nicer, no renovation happening, roach free place.

Even thought the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were awfully filthy. Other than that I would stay in the hotel again.

The room was comfortable and spacious, the service was good and the location of the hotel is the best. The problems we encountered was that the hotel was in remodeling so we moved from floor, the elevator stopped working a couple of days, there were no blankets for the remodel and the breakfast is horrible.

Okay hotel, friendly staff but the room is so bad as it hotel. Bad smell in the room and bath, unconformable bed at all. I just give this hotel 2 stars is about the staff, and the location is great you can find everything around you.

Nice hotel. Very clean. The lady at reception was super helpful and friendly with recommendations for dinner which was spot on. Oh the beds! So comfortable. Had 2 great nights sleep. Kids really enjoyed the pool. The only thing is it is a little out of the way, I suppose it depends on why you are visiting Houston and it was very reasonably priced room.

My sister had to stay here after the hurricane while her house was being repaired. And after the lady still lettuce come back and eat breakfast whenever we need it to I wanted to. The stuff or so caring about each and every one.

I gave 5 stars, not because I think this is a 5 star hotel, but for a 3 star hotel it was very nice. New, clean lobby. Decent rooms. No complaints. I was pleasantly surprised.

Smoke-free hotel, pool, & hot tub! Loved the room, & great receptionist! $95/single after tax, terrific! The bathtub was spotless, new, carpet in room looked new, very clean! Breakfast was great!

Horrible experience. I made a reservation for a room with two queen beds. They said that they only had one room available which smells so bad.

2nd night staying here. Staff is great Wi-Fi sucks. Impossible to do anywork online here. No password for Wi-Fi makes freeloaders in lobby line up to get in.

Clean. Spacious. Very well kept. My mother really did enjoy staying here.

Location and breakfast not the best. Pool and exercise room not used during a four night stay. Close to several restaurants. No issues with room or check in process. Surveillance in parking lot.

Rooms are nice. However, due to the recent flooding there is a musty odor throughout the whole building. I am allergic to some types of mold and broke out in a rash 40 minutes into my stay. Since my work put me up here, I countered with a 24 hour allergy pill and have not had problems since so long as I take the medication. Other than this, the service has been good. There is an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. The fitness room is also very nice.

Noisy. Elevators didn't work. Patrons smoking pot the morning we left. Rooms were clean and comfy. Free breakfast.

It's a nice place. Good price and they are pet friendly. This is where I will stay on road trips.

Good location and clean rooms/beds but disappointing customer service and not so great breakfast experience. Also the room accommodating 5 had only 2 queen beds and no sofa bed etc so 3 kids had to sleep in one bed. We stayed for 2 nights, first night the Internet went down and they couldn't get it back up till next morning. Next night found the room service forgot to put soap in bath. Called front desk and the guy rudely said room service is gone for the day and he didn't have key to their storageand that he can't get us a hand soap from anywhere else! For the breakfast they have this single serve Starbucks coffee machine that takes forever to make a cup of coffee. Had to wait 15 minites for a cup of coffee as there were 2 other ppl ahead of me. Same goes for pancake/waffle line — big lines with each person taking 3 minutes. Limited items in breakfast and they stop refilling like 30 minutes before end time so whatever runs out, its out. We got cheapest rate there so it was OK even with the issues but we won't be staying there in the future.

Very friendly staff (overnight and daytime) though not too bright. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The television had choppy reception but that could be the cable provider. The pool was fun and I liked that it is outdoors and open 24 hours/day.

I made a reservation 4 hrs before my check-in, I arrived only to be told the double queen room I booked has an issue and I was switched to a king size bedroom with a pull out bed; as if that wasn't enough, I got to the room with my sister & 2 kids to find an unchanged bedsheets, used towels on the bathroom floor, shaved pubic hair in the tub, and full trash can. I dashed angrily to the reception to complain as the phone in the room isn't working either. I was told room service arrives in the morning, no other empty room & the front desk lady couldn't leave the the reception. It was already midnight and couldn't leave with 2 little boys, so I stayed and did the cleaning myself with only an apology. It was the "crappiest" night ever.

Came to a small celebration for a family member, so my stay was short. My time there the staff was nice, attentive and present. Even let us borrow a wine opener. Four out of five only because the coffee machine was not working properly. It spewed out hot coffee and the grinds, not in the cup. It could have scolded someone. However we were unharmed. For me a hotel MUST have coffee readily available at all times and the machine should be working properly.

Clean, friendly staff, perfect king size room on the first floor. Our favorite part was the "beer and wine social" because we got free drinks and snacks. We also had two dogs and loved the hotels private fenced in area in the back. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Only downside was when we ordered "room service" from the menu in the hotel. It was from a local Chinese food place and the food was absolutely terrible! Do not order from the Chinese room service menu!

It is a very good place to stay in. The staff is so much cooperative, polite and efficient. Cleanliness is high. Uninterupted Wi-Fi with good speed. Location is also good.

Great location between The Galleria and IKEA. The hotel is clean and well kept with a friendly helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again. Lots of places to eat nearby and located just off a main highway (Westheimer).

The room was great with a sofa bed and a king bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast but not I didn't like it.

I loved my stay. My dog enjoyed the calm environment. The hotel was very clean. The staff was very respectful. I was impressed they had the spa, pool, and fitness center. At night it was very quiet and peaceful. This is definitely our hotel from now on!

Rooms are always well cleaned. Front desk is generally friendly but there are a few times when they are absent. Breakfast is plentiful and runs for a decent time frame.

The room had a musty air to it when I arrived and persisted with the AC, making it difficult to enjoy my stay. Functionally, everything worked well. High speed internet was fast and the bathroom amenities were fine. Could have used more water pressure. Beds were fine but I wouldn't want to make an extended stay here. Final Four weekend meant loud guests in the hall at early hours. The walls offered little sound protection.

The hotel's reservation system was down when I arrived and the clerk didn't know how to check me in without it. I had to find another hotel (which cost more and has a pet fee) by myself at 11:30 p. M. On a Friday night. Poor training, poor customer service. I have yet to hear from anyone at the hotel or from corporate. I will likely never use La Quinta again.

Very nice and clean, and I always get the late checkout because I am a rewards member.

I took the weekly rate @ $89 which is great for the quality, service, staff, comfort and cleanliness. Location is great too, many things nearby. It is a very good place!

I booked a room in advance to be in Houston for a funeral, and upon arrival, was told the manager Deandre had overbooked the hotel by about four rooms. The person at the front desk was unable to do anything but apologize. I then had to find another hotel, which was difficult because of our late arrival (which we had called to inform the hotel of). Instead of telling us the hotel was overbooked, the person on the phone said it was fine. Who does that?!?!? At least tell me earlier so I wouldn't have arrived at midnight to find out there were no rooms. To top it off, I was still charged for my reservation even though the person at the front desk said he cancelled everything. I have been trying to get the charge taken off with this inept manager for the past couple of days. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is unfortunate for the hotel that management is so terrible.

I've never had reservation problems here. However my reasons for 2 stars is because my room smelled awful and was damp. Every day no matter what, the smell lingered and mixed with damp bedding is enough to make me find somewhere else next time. Air freshness dont mask it the people were very nice to me but room quality is not as advertised.

I never have a problem with La Quinta staff, EVER, however, on a recent trip in Houston, I stayed here and received the worst service. The front desk lady was rude and inconsiderate, and even handed me my phone back in the middle of my aunt trying to talk to her about my reservation. They took my I. D. And kept it, and really made me feel inconvenient. From now on, if I have to stay in Houston, I will either book the one in the Galleria, or just skip La Quinta entirely. Save you money on this one.

We booked two rooms at this hotel and confirmed it. When we arrived at the hotel they told us that only one room was available. After 50 minutes the person working at the front desk could find a room for us at 3am. Very bad service.

Very poor customer service. "Carmen" wouldn't even let me book a room without checking rates. She messed up when she put down that I needed two beds and then she said that it "might" be more expensive if she were to check what the rate would be for only one bed and then I would have to pay that rate. Blah, blah, blah. I cancelled that reservation and went with Best Western because they actually listened to me and gave me a good rate without threatening me with a higher rate. Much better customer service which was done without attitude like "Carmen". Yo, Yo, Yo, we can all do without the attitude "Carmen".

My family and I stayed here for a couple of weeks between selling our house and closing on the new one. I was not looking forward to spending so much time in a hotel room, but we had an amazing stay here. The pool area is very nice, and they even have free barbecues, cocktails, and appetizers on certain nights. Candace was very helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The rooms are very nice, much better than we expected. The hotel is rather new; all of the furnishings and decorations were very modern. The bathrooms are nice and new, again very modern. The hotel is within walking distance to many local bars, restaurants, shopping, and 24 hour fitness. Restaurants and bars you can walk to include: First Tee Pub (very friendly neighborhood bar) Bull and Bear Pub (Traditional Irish pub that shows international sports and serves traditional Irish and British food) V's Thai Restaurant and Bar The Burger Guys (Gourmet Burgers) Fadi's (Mediterranean style awesomeness) Fiesta (International Grocery Store) Unexpected perks we enjoyed: Free Wifi, 24 hour gym, 24 hour computer access, free hot breakfast and fresh fruit, mini fridge and microwave in all rooms, free appetizers and beverages for whole family at happy hour, 24 hour access to Starbucks coffee machine :) They even allowed us to bring our own food to grill on the patio by the pool!

Paid a premium price for the executive suite. The mini-fridge made noises all night so loud that sleep was impossible. I spoke with the front desk staff about the issue and even though they said they would get the problem corrected they never did. I ended up unplugging it on the 2nd night. I asked to speak to the manager three different times and never received a response from him. Also, the flat screen TV that was advertised had been replaced by an 80's era TV. Not the experience that I had expected. Not sure if I will stay with LaQuinta again. Too many other choices.

Now I'm sure people who write these ugly reviews about a place that is so friendly just have nothing better to do in life. The smell they were talking about is because many beautiful competition dogs stay the night together with their owners. So if you like pets or just don't care, you found an excellent, spacious and clean hotel with super friendly staff with big swimming pool and delicious breakfast. If you don't, please find yourself another hotel to complain about.
