Review of La Quinta by Wyndham Houston Energy Corridor 3*

My family and I stayed here for a couple of weeks between selling our house and closing on the new one. I was not looking forward to spending so much time in a hotel room, but we had an amazing stay here. The pool area is very nice, and they even have free barbecues, cocktails, and appetizers on certain nights. Candace was very helpful and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The rooms are very nice, much better than we expected. The hotel is rather new; all of the furnishings and decorations were very modern. The bathrooms are nice and new, again very modern. The hotel is within walking distance to many local bars, restaurants, shopping, and 24 hour fitness. Restaurants and bars you can walk to include: First Tee Pub (very friendly neighborhood bar) Bull and Bear Pub (Traditional Irish pub that shows international sports and serves traditional Irish and British food) V's Thai Restaurant and Bar The Burger Guys (Gourmet Burgers) Fadi's (Mediterranean style awesomeness) Fiesta (International Grocery Store) Unexpected perks we enjoyed: Free Wifi, 24 hour gym, 24 hour computer access, free hot breakfast and fresh fruit, mini fridge and microwave in all rooms, free appetizers and beverages for whole family at happy hour, 24 hour access to Starbucks coffee machine :) They even allowed us to bring our own food to grill on the patio by the pool! To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable compared to other hotels in the Energy Corridor part of Houston. I would definitely recommend staying here if you need a place to stay near the Energy Corridor.
