We were not put in the right room. We specified one with a stove and standard size refrigerator and didn’t get it. The television is of poor quality. The place is proving to be a pit.

This is a great place to stay if you’re in Lubbock, TX. Happy hour (free drinks) and a real breakfast in the morning. Rooms are clean, hotel staff the best and right next to 4 eating establishments and a Walmart, all within walking distance.

I'm in online nursing school at Texas Tech and stay here when visiting Lubbock, as well as when visiting with my family. They have great friendly service. The rooms are clean and spacious, the suites are my favorite with a seperate living area. Good breakfast choices too.

People were very friendly during the check in, the lobby was pretty nice. The room was nice, the beds were soft, and I had no trouble sleeping. I do not believe there was an elevator, so you should take that into consideration if you or someone you know has trouble going up and down steps. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Decided to go swimming with my family. After we finished swimming they sent someone out to sanitize the pool. From my room you could see right to the pool. I dont know if it was that time or well, you can just imagine what went through my mind. Most of the staff was awesome, the rooms was clean and the breakfast was good. That one incident with the pool makes me wonder what the are going to do with the sheets and covers. Shoot I wonder if they are going to keep the mattresses. That was a mind blowing experience.

Old hotel that has a very bad smell that they try to mask with over whelming air freshener. The a. C. In rooms are very weak it will take 2 days to cool the room… no joke. Every piece of furniture has a price list so that should tell you the kind of people this place is used to having. They can never get the door card to work more than a day… I always have to get it redone at front dest… so annoying. I hate that the company I work for uses this place. I'm trying to get another cause this place is not good.

If you stay in the extended stay building expect super thin mattresses that are worn to the point of being able to feel the rib slats in the box spring beneath you. Front desk clerk was very unhelpful and said they they are all like that. AC units can't keep the whole room cool when it's hot outside. Freezing by the bed yet warm and balmy by the "office" area. Desk chairs are small and uncomfortable. All furnishings are outdated except for the Keurig coffee maker.

My family has stayed here twice now. It is our new favorite. Rooms are clean and beds are super comfortable. Staff is very accommodating with extra towels, wine screws, scissors and anything else we needed. The Happy Hour and breakfast are always nice. My only wish is that breakfast didn't end at 9. Great place!

The hotel itself was nice. It was a little dated but not bad. The main problem was the parking. Apparently someone had rented one of the meeting rooms for the evening and they took up all the parking which left the people who were actually staying at the hotel with nowhere to park. The breakfast was less than par and the gentleman overseeing the buffet was rude to the guests. He acted as if he did not want to be there and was refusing to give people the waffle mix to make themselves waffles.

Watch out if you stay here. Your vehicle is not safe. They even have signs up to protect themselves. The rooms and staff are nice though. Just putting info out.

Rooms in the extended stay are great. Good hot breakfast. Just wish there wouldn't be noise from trucks at random times.

Slightly above average hotel. I would say the best thing is it was clean and tidy. Not much in the way amenities but did have some descent protein on the breakfast. Also, internet was average for hotel wireless. Also, there are a bunch of descent restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. I would probably look to stay somewhere that was slightly more expensive with better amenities or cheaper for a quick overnight stay.

I came to Lubbock for a new job and my new company put me up here for three nights. The place is super clean, the rooms smell fresh, the place e is quiet and beds are comfortable. I've slept better here than I have slept anywhere else when away from home.

As usual facility spotless, staff great, with good hot breakfast, evening social hour. Walking distance to many restaurants, walley world. What more could you ask for.

The gentlemen at the bar was very nice. Great service! However, after staying the night I woke with bed bugs! Very disgusted! Now I have to throw everything and buy new. Very disappointed…

My wife and I had stayed here for a wedding and I have compiled a list as to why it was not so great for me: 1. The pillows were so small that I thought perhaps they would of more suited for couch pillows rather than bed pillows. I must say it was one of the most uncomfortable sleeps I've ever had. 2. The shower was so loud that when I turned it on I had to cover my ears because it seemed to be screaming at me, but since I am married I am quite used to being screamed at so I bared it, joking of course, but it was loud. 3. I didn't understand the TV. Meaning every channel had a. 1, so like there was 37 and then 37.1 which had nothing but a black screen and you had to continually be annoyed by changing. 4. I was scared to eat the breakfast. My wife even shared with me that she had gotten a bagel she thought had mold on it. 5. Bring back bibles in the hotel. Okay I'm biased, but just in case I wanted to read a little scripture I couldn't. All in all it is a place to stay. It was uncomfortable, but better than nothing.

Stayed for 3 days by myself, and have nothing bad to say. The rooms were clean and neat, the free breakfast was hot and delicious (including texas shaped waffles, which amused me greatly). The front desk staff made me feel welcome, answered all my questions, and gave me suggestions on where to eat/what to do since I didn't know the area. The breakfast staff greeted me every morning with a smile and conversation, and even the cleaning staff smiled and said hello when I passed them in the hallways. I accidentally left my money on the dresser when I left the second day, and when I came back the room it was spotless and the money was still there. I really cannot say enough good things about the staff here. I used both the pool and the jacuzzi with no problems, both were clean. If I should ever return to Lubbock I will definately stay here again, whether by myself or with my family. Walking distance to Walmart and three different restuarants. Absolutely cannot beat this hotel for value, especially as inexpensive as it is.

All the staff was friendly, and knowledgeable about the local area. Our room suite was comfortable. The breakfast was good. Realy enjoyed our stay.

Very very very clean! (Did I say "very"? ) It's so nice to stay in such an incredibly clean place! This place is a treasure! Breakfast is fresh & cooked perfectly. Internet is fast, strong, and easy to sign into. All of the staff is super friendly and eager to make your stay just right. Even the physical property of the hotel is spotless. The amenities are a little dated, but who cares? It's hardly noticeable, given the fantastic management of this hotel, at every level!

Our stay at Ashmore Inn was really good. Free breakfast everyday, a good sized swimming pool, free drinks Monday through Friday, a good sized room, friendly staff. Overall, they deserve the 5 stars, they were a great hotel.

Quiet and cozy. Quick access to any part of town with loop 289. Free happy hour M-F and free hot and cold breakfast everyday. Staff is amazing!

Room was fine other than a little mold my wife noticed in an edge of the bathtub. Breakfast was good, too, but after several days of hotel breakfast food, I wasn't really thrilled by it. Pool looked nice, but we had to get back on the road, so we didn't get to use it. Room was a good size and staff friendly.

My family reunion was in Lubbock this year and we had to find a hotel by my cousins house. She told us the closest hotel was a place called the Ashmore Inn and suites. Well to make a long story short we loved the hotel. The breakfast was sensational. The breakfast was so big they had to have two people help to run it and clean it. The young man at the front desk was stupendous. Show less.

As I write this I don't even know where to begin. This is our second time staying with your hotel as a group (8+ rooms) Your facility has always been outstanding and we looked forward to continued stays but this was our last time at this facility. Your front desk clerk Jonathan Geist working the 3 to 11 shift was for a lack of better words a complete and total A-hole to our entire basketball group. After entering the pool 10 minutes after it should have been shut down at 10pm. We were still on NM time and there were still other guest present so we believed it was still open. He told us that he would leave it open longer if we could provide him with weed. He said this in the presence of minor children and several adults. After denying his request he began threatening everyone there that he was going to kick them out and call the police. He began knocking on doors looking for other members of our basketball group telling them that if he caught any of them in the halls that he would contact the authorities and have them escorted off of the property. Calling several rooms to see if they were with our group. He was belligerent and completely unprofessional and frankly unstable. I have never been so disgusted by any place I have ever stayed and I worked in the hotel industry for more than four years. After contacting "MANAGEMENT" I have yet to hear back and sadly don't expect much if anything from them. Save your sanity, there are far better places to stay in Lubbock.

Stayed here twice in the last two weeks. Rooms are very clean. Stayed in the larger suite the second time. Next time I'll bring my family. Full kitchen is really nice. Plenty of room. Front desk employees very friendly. Biggest issue is the Internet. Haven't been able to sign on either time. Makes it difficult to get any work done. Frustrating.

This hotel is immaculate. The location is convenient to Loop 289, with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Room was comfortable, but a bit small. We had a minor maintenance issue that wasn't resolved within 2 hours of a call to the front desk, but was resolved within 10 minutes of a visit to the front desk. Enjoyed both the complimentary happy hour and cooked breakfast. These seem like amenities that one usually only finds at higher-end lodging. Overall, we had a good stay here, for the price.

Nice and quiet. I was traveling alone for business, but saw many young families at their big outdoor pool. Happy hour for beer and wines. Nice breakfast spread. All at at reasonable price.

Very nice hotel just recently been renovated highly recommend this hotel! Great hot tub outdoor pool indoor hot tub. Great location next to a big Walmart.

The room was nice, clean, and the price was good. Free hot breakfast in the morning was good. My only 2 complaints would be the lack of an elevator, which is no fun with luggage, and the harsh shampoo. Definitely bring your own shampoo.

Ashmore inn and suites is a wonderfu place to stay! It is clean, the people are friendly, just amazing.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived (4 p. M. ). We left and came back 40 minutes later and it still was not ready. The A/C unit didn't work well. The shower didn't drain. It took 30 minutes after my husband took a shower for it to drain so I could take a shower. The cartridge in the shower was installed incorrectly, so that the hot side was running cold and the cold side was running hot. I spoke with the staff at check-out, but the lady who checked me out seemed preoccupied and I highly doubt did anything about it after we left.

Terrible! I would not want my worst enemy to stay here… Me my fiance and two children stayed two nights here there were bugs in the bathroom. When we got back home I was looking over finance's. I realized they had charged me twice one was for $250.00. When I called them I dealt with stephen. I asked why I was charged $250.00? He said we found hair on the floor and that there was a dog in the room. I explained to him I did not own a dog (I am allergic) and if you looked at the hair it is probably from my fiance that has a condition causing her to lose/shed her hair. Stephen said there was no way it was a humans hair because of the color? He also told me that they would not refund the money and they would do nothing more to help me… I firmly believe stephen never needs to have another job in customer service again. The owner definitely needs to look this policy over and do something about his hotel.

Everything went well at this location, besides the bugs in the bathroom, until after we left. They charged us a $250 pet fee, when we did not have a pet in the room. We don't even own any pets. I have a medical condition that causes me to lose hair quite frequently, which is why they believed there was an animal. They claimed to take a picture of it, but would not send it to us. Steven (the manager, or corporate owner, he wouldn't admit to what position he was in) cussed my fiance out on the phone while we were trying to dispute the claim. They were very unprofessional and rude. Thankfully our bank is helping us with a charge back. Please do not stay here! I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

The staff is so professional and caring right away from check in! Yes, this an older hotel and there is no elevator, but seriously its a two story hotel. Very clean, very quiet, rooms are big. Somethings I didn't count on was the breakfast — not made to order but exactly what you want — traditional hot full breakfast, pastries, cereals, hot cereals, healthy options, juice, coffee, etc AND then happy hour… really?! It's not just beer and wine happy hour! Big surprise. Thank you Ashmore Inn for being here — I will continue to send my company team members of all levels your way, because I know you will take care of them the way I would. When we visit Lubbock with friends or family — we are always coming to the Ashmore!
