We were accommodate per request, clean rooms, took all precautions per coronavirus, very friendly staff.

Stayed here last week. We had already paid for the room before we read the reviews. Not that bad. Definitely does not look like the pictures, but was okay. The room was super cold (which I like) & the water heater was perfect! Room smells a little moldy. Over all decent stay! Get what you pay for.

The building is old and had a musty smell to it. The staff I encountered was friendly. The "security" door on the side parking lot is broken. The free continental breakfast was good. The beds are comfortable and for an older hotel it isn't a bad place to stay. Needs some TLC.

For the price I paid say it was below my expectations. We had three rooms and they accommodated my elderly parents on the ground floor as requested. We had cable and free Wi-Fi in our rooms. We had to get in line for breakfast. I expected some scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage but they only had fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juice, cupcakes, and bread and butter for toast. To drink it was milk, OJ, and water. There was a line to the waffle maker. Laundry room was leaking water on the floor but machines were usable. It was about $3/load. We were restocked with clean towels everyday and our beds were made. Overall the staff was very friendly. We had non smoking rooms but downstairs people were either smoking in their rooms or smokers on the sidewalk were blowing smoke into the air conditioning. We asked to change our room and the hotel moved us but the lady made a snarky comment. We checked in late and woke up with headaches from the heavy tobacco smoke odor. One of our rooms had holes in the wall and we took a picture and showed it to management as soon as we checked in. Pool was clean but had bugs that sting like mosquitoes. They were tiny beetles that swam in the water and are the size of gnats. I could see that they are still rebuilding from the hurricane. Several wings in the hotel were closed off and the restaurant was shutdown. The outside of the building also has some damage. The roads were atrocious. Pot holes and semi trucks and rigs everywhere in the parking lot.

I wouldn't give this place a one star if I could. This was hotel was beyond dirty. When we got into the building it smelled of mold and urine, the carpet was stained, the door to exit never locked although they were supposed to be closed at 9 and there was mold and bugs on the bed. Since all the other hotels were full we couldn't leave and it was already an uneasy feeling staying the night with people keeping their doors wide open having loud conversations and random men walking back and forward in the hall watching your every move. You better be prayed up to stay here.

I just stayed here this past weekend. The Blonde Hair Lady at the front desk was being prejudice towards my family, my sister in laws family, and to another couple that came in after us. Even my nephew whom is 14 noticed how she was being towards us, them and the couple behind us. When we went to the pool she was barely wanted to assist us with towels. The stairwell by our room smelled like feces. Our room was Decent. My kids and nephews liked the pool but what kid doesn't like water. Just the lack of customer service from the Lady at the Front Desk was horrible from the start. I called her at 9am to ask for a later check out she said they do not offer that there. When I checked out I politely said good morning, gave her my room keys, I even told her to Have a Great Day and she did not reply to me. I don't think I will be staying here again. To me great Customer Service and making your guests comfortable goes a long way.

I most certainly over paid to stay here. The room was very outdated and dusty. There was hair on the floor, dried blood on the sheets and the bathroom was despicable. The was burn marks throughout the room. The phone wasn't even plugged in and working. I had to dig around the dresser in the dust and hair then plug the handset in the proper place. My degree of disappointment is immense.

The room was clean enough. They tried to charge me twice though. It was reversed though. The room we had the ac was only cool never got cold. I had to get paper clips to close the blinds all the way. The free breakfast was a joke. Cereal some fruit and a single wAffle station. No eggs or bacon! I didn't try anything. I just went back to bed.

I don't know how the city is not going to check. That. Otel SE. He's all over the street. Sides. This old man smells. A lot. A Cigar.

Omg! Talk about false advertisement! We stayed there for 2 days and 2 nights, and nobody took out the trash, fixed bed, or gave us clean towels! The coffee maker was in the dirty restroom! The place is falling apart and has mold! We didn't even feel safe! Over priced! They need to get rid of the hotel next door that looks even worse and If they would remodel, it wouldn't be as bad. There is a really good Mexican restaurant around the corner from there but that's about it.

Staff was extremely nice. The place was torn up on the outside but the room was surprisingly spacious and beds and carpet were clean. There was a microwave & mini fridge. The bathroom was clean looking but smelled strong like urine and I saw urine on the bottom of the shower curtain when showering. Overall worth the price, just wouldn't want a long stay.

We have came to enjoy our vacation we are excited and the great customer service we have received from Ms. Monet Gilmore and Ms. Sherry Taylor is one of the best. We will come back again. Thank you ladies.

The photos might be a little old, but don't let dirty exterior fool you, rooms are surprisingly clean and at a good price per night. I'd rather stay at a hotel that is dirty on the outside rather than one that is dirty on the inside. They were also able to accommodate me when I came in with my dog. They do have certain rooms that they allow pets in.

Old and a little run down but it's good for the price we paid and free Wi-Fi breakfast and parking and proximity to north beach more then makes up for it! My wife said to mention the fantastic service we received upon arrival!

Getting to the property and couldnt figure out how to get in the in door pool is a out door pool there connected so it was still cold just like the out door pool they wont give you anything for free not even a spoon and the breakfast you better be vegan with no taste buds to eat it there no meat and no eggs just cearl and waffles and toast… Room was out dated by far and bed was ok once you get in the middle…

Loved it… it feels like home too me! Safe and drug free and family friendly with free breakfast every morning and free Wi-Fi and free parking. Inside and outside pool. Basketball goal, tennis and a gazebo.

Hotel is meant for workers & working men. Not family's or vacationing. It's a nice hotel. It has its flaws here and there. For the most part staff try their best to be as friendly as possible. Don't get me wrong if a small family were to visit for a weekend it's great with the pool and BBQ pit and room service. However definitely not a hotel for a week of vacation with a family of 6 ECT. I like this hotel for what it is.

I didnt give a star bcause this was the second to third time we stayed here… been like 3years ago and things havent changed… mgmt doesnt care… if so. I wouldnt be writing this. This time the room wasnt clean. Carpet wasnt vacuumed. Counters dirty w crumbs. Roaches. No microwave no table. And had dog turd behind door. Plus wen we got there the room had strong aroma of marijuana and air fresher. Upon checking out which everything was reported ahead of time. But didnt want to go through changing rooms again like yrs ago. Spoke to the two ladies behind counter around 7 on the 18th of February and she gave excuses of the situation like we were lying. For this happening once again we should have been compensated 1/2 for this problem again. But she never tried to make us feel like wanting to come back. For this I will never ever come back even if this was the only hotel that had rooms available… id rather sleep in my car. I will be calling corporate in the next day or so.

STAY AWAY! BEDBUG INFESTED! Rooms smelt moldy, found old food under tables and moldy food in fridge, used towels in bathroom as well. Worse part is the BEDBUGS that snuck into our luggage! and yes im possitive we got bedbugs from here… I found a few bugs in the room and asked to be moved to a diff room was told it was totally booked. 2 weeks later found those same bugs in my home! Absolutely disgusting.

This hotel Is riduculous we have 4 rooms and was given a rate our room was paid up and three days later the say we owe 12.50 more for each night this is the worst experience I've had with a hotel I have lived out of hotels for 17 years as a salesman I'm utterly pissed at this experience not only being lied too but in my room the window is spiderwebbed and sealed with tape the cords on the lamps are cut off probably by a crackhead the lights dont work in the bathroom and when I went to the vending machine and paid 2 dollars for a soda the soda didn't even come out if you wanna get robbed stay here.

Room was ok for price. Had some minor holes in walls/ceilings from hurricane Harvey. No mold, bugs, etc noticed. Had a nice small breakfast bar just off the lobby and has vending area with ice dispensers. Overall a good place for getting away.

If you don't care about the black mold, bed bugs, water bugs, uncleanliness, rude staff, as well as staff stealing from guests then this is the place for you to want to spend your money. Over worked and underplayed staff taken for granted and will never be given the opportunity to move up nor make a dollar more than 8 an hour. Oh yes and by the way any drug your looking for can be found at this location from meth, heroine, coke, pills and weed.

It was one of the most inexpensive hotels… and a good distance away from. The Beaches and city. Interior was rustic and old, and not In a clean way. TV is decent. Only big gripe was the bathroom light being difficult to turn on.

Great customer service for a decent price, a one night stay for those who travel for business and the pet rooms look very clean. Microwave food available as well as breakfast and complementary coffee. Really like that they have ice cream. Truckers parking is also available. Don't like that there are a lot of stares even though its a two story building all the way around.

Don't be fooled guys! pictures are all fake! the hotel is a real dump. Worst Experience Ever! Cockroaches EVERYWHERE! The bathrooms a real mess and don't even get me started on the bathtub. The floor was filled with dust like if it hasn't been cleaned for weeks. In addition, there isn't any microwaves or refrigerators inside your hotel room. Trust me guys I'm saving you from having to stay here.

This hotel is very nice! The rooms are quiet and private and so clean! The house maids are very nice and thorough. I love this hotel. It's elegant. The pool is always so clean. There aren't any trashy people walking around messing with me. At the hotel we had to stay at before here, was full of prostitutes. It was disgusting. They were all ugly, and you could tell they were under the influence of something. They hardly wore any clothes at all, and would walk up to my husband asking him if he wanted any sexual pleasures for 10. It was disgusting and disrespectful. They were so gross. Anyways, this hotel is very nice, classy, clean, and surprisingly affordable. I recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Corpus Christi! There's a picture of the pool attached to my comment. The people complaining about this hotel are liars. My husband and I are living here while our house is being remodeled and it's super nice! Hope this helps! And seriously, all of these people saying that there are bed bugs are liars. My husband and I have searched the entire bed completely and there is no sign of bugs at all.

This place is from the 80s and while that is cool, some of it looks like needs repair. I think there are people living here. Some of the rooms have been blacked out and have faded black plywood covering the doors. There is an outside light that makes it look like the sun is blazing on your window all night. The tennis/basketball court has large piles of rocks on it. The people that work here seem very nice though. I had no problems with noise and the shallow end of the pool is indoors, which is neat. They probably have the softest beds I have ever laid on. If someone really spent some money to fix it up, it would be like a small resort.

For 49$ you get what you pay for. Staff is outstanding but this place is in bad shape. Mold, roaches, stained blankets, disgusting.

This hotel has so much potential! From what ive been told ot used to be really nice. The indoor pool is connected to the outdoor pool and they dont use the heater so its very very cold… the halls need painting and updated and they should bring in a nice rest5amd club like what used to occupy parts if this hotel.

The room was clean and everything worked good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. The free breakfast was convenient and delicous.

By far the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. We were there less than an hour and get the heck out. Middle of the day, watching TV and BED BUGS came crawling out! We pulled the sheets off to find a pair of FAKE EYELASHES tucked into the sheets and blood on the side of the mattress. I smelled like weed and looks like something out of a horror movie. Seriously, save your time and money. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star, but I have to just to be able to post.

The hotel is old but not awful, most of the staff makes up for the mold that is everyone with the exception of the older Mexican woman who has a blue streak dyed in her hair. Have you ever come across one of those trashy people who act stuck up, but for the love of God you can't figure out why? That's her. She's rude, and beyond condescending. The rest of the staff is amazing. If I had to pick between staying in a dumpster or dealing with her ever again I'd pick the dumpster. In the rain. At 15 below zero. With a raccoon gnawing my feet.

Toilet was broken, rooms smelled of mold and urine. The floor was caving in by the ac that was leaking on the floor (we were on the second floor) I am very allergic to black mold and after this weekend have to go to the doctor because I got so sick from the room. The pillows were flat and moist as well with stains. Worst hotel I have ever been in.

Not a good nights rest. Cant say ive ever seen a dog allowed in the pool area of a hotel, the stale muffins for a continental breakfast sucked. And the kidds running up and down the hall till 3 AM. Was told one rate charged another. So run down is the best I can say.

Room smells like pet unrine or mold, beds are hard, carpet floors are sopping wet from the a/c running (I hope thats what it is) and the neighborhood/location is pretty close to the ghetto as you can get with aspiring veiws of run down trailer parks over the back fence. Stay here at your own risk.

Me and my family will be coming here for now on cuz all the other places around here ain't no good at least this one is clean no rowdy people and the game room my kids loved the only thing is some of the workers are rude and ugly or I would of gave it a 5 star's.

Drove a long way to see the Gulf. This place was cheap and easy to get to. Just a regular Motel. The employees have been sweet and it was a place to sleep. Only thing is they serve breakfast. Not a continental breakfast. It was enough food tho. Nothing terrible. Very decent place to stay.

Nothing good to say about this place besides they have good orange juice for breakfast.

We arrived late, and left early. The continental breakfast was a true continental breakfast — weak coffee (in incredibly small cups) and hard bagels — no butter or cream cheese, just a hard roll. The night clerk was very sweet, but the morning clerk was anything but pleasant. We accidentally left an expensive resistal hat in the room and "Holly" the day clerk, said "It wasn't there. I asked housekeeping but they didn't find anything. " Oh well, live and learn. This won't be a hotel I will stay at again.

This is no longer a Red Roof Inn property! We stayed at the Red Roof Inn at Nueces Bay Blvd and I-37 and it was great, new clean property, the staff was very friendly.
