People from all over the world utilize this facility regularly… = interesting noises coming from various floors/closed (maybe) doors… squeeky clean floors… Clean, cozy, spacious lobby w/Wi-Fi Marriott service. Wild natives and foreigners… = Mortgage free nomads surround the structure at night to prevent Big Government from checking behind doors # 3, 7, 11, & 314!

Awesome hotel with. Great service and atmosphere.

Good food great work out facilities. Even though they were short handed they handled all requests with professionalism.

If you are ever in the Dallas area, I highly recommend the Renaissance in Richardson, Tx (On Lookout). This is my GO TO Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel. Great for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The rooms are soundproof so you are not disturbed and neither do you disturb your neighboring rooms. The customer service is wonderful. They are so helpful and genuine. It is in a GREAT location right off the freeway and the suites and rooms are always nice, clean, and spacious. The hotel is close to several restaurants, shopping centers, etc. If you are not driving your car or renting, it is also right next door to a public transit station. 💯👌🏾Book directly through the hotel or Marriott Bonvoy so you can rack up points and perks.

Today we had a breakfast here for special Olympics call breakfast of champions thank you to This hotel for having us I really appreciate the hospitality I recommend this place it was also very clean and people were nice.

This is by far one of the best hotels in Texas! The room was amazing and if you are an elite member they really make you feel like you are special. I have been traveling for many years and have been an elite member for a long time but the service that was provided here set the standard of excellence. I highly recommend if you are looking to get away or a large corporation, they can accommodate all needs.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, everything was so perfect, that it cannot be better. John, the front guy was so welcoming and hospitable, I have never experienced something like that. The pool was clean, room was awesome and the hotel has a look that makes you think you are on a boat. Clean like crystal! If I come to Dallas again, this is the place for me to stay with my family!

Was there for a conference. Their customer service is great. And the remodeling they are doing looks immaculate. I was very impressed with my stay. My only negative which isn't the hotels fault was it rained and there were a ton of grass hoppers on the property.

I didn’t stay here, but my teenage daughter did as part of a dance convention. She said the hotel was beautiful and the food was good. Unfortunately, she caught a virus from a friend while she was there, and I was several hours away. I called the front desk to ask I could purchase some medicine and have some toast sent to her room to help her until I could get her home. One of the managers, John, was so kind and concerned. He immediately had medicine, food, and water sent to her complimentary. I truly appreciate the kindness and concern of the staff at this hotel! I will stay here every time I go back to Dallas and recommend it to everyone I know!

Super nice hotel with nice rooms and accommodations. Parking garage is convenient for self parking so valet is not mandatory. Plenty in the area to eat and drink as well as close to many office buildings in the area. Restaurant is good but not great and expensive as is typical for this level of hotel. Wi-Fi is fast and reliable plus Marriott Rewards members get excellent benefits for their status. Concierge lounge has free meals at breakfast and dinner as well as drinks and snacks if you have access.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in a long time. It's more than clean, it's comfortable and has an exceptionally pleasing decor. There's a wishing well in the lobby and the view inside the tall, open square is Great. This will be one of my stopping points moving forward. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. That really made the biggest impact. It's wheelchair accessible with roll in showers available… request in advance*.

Will be a nice hotel after they finish renovations. Room was a little bit dated and missing some amenities. I think at least one floor was already renovated and they were working on to other floors.

Renovation is underway so some of the rooms are completely redecorated. Nice place to stay. Close to many restaurants, and next to train station. Rooms are typically quiet and comfortable; bar and restaurant are popular hangouts for guests after hours.

First time staying. Very enjoyable. Nice room and pooll. Definitely will stay there again. Very reasonable price.

The hotel bar here is nice, rooms are spacious and no crime in the area. Some really cool waterfountains in the outside area. The parking situation is not good though. Desk attendants are incredibly warm and welcoming. If you are staying in Richardson this is a good location.

Very nice hotel. Excellent room! Clean, very well lit and an awesome view of the city around you. Disappointed the executive lounge was not serving anything. But the refrigerator was stocked with drinks and water. The coffee machine was fantastic.

The rooms are very nice. The bed is super comfortable and great pillows! The staff was exceptionally nice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Richardson area.

Spectacular hotel for the price I paid! Excellent service by the staff and a very nice hotel room. I loved the glass windowed elevators and the open atrium that this hotel has to offer. Also, if you have access to it, the breakfast on the top floor lounge is definitely worth it. This is definitely a step up (or two) from your run-of-the-mill hotels you find in the suburbs, so give Renaissance a try if you are in the Richardson area!

We really like this hotel for two reasons. It's small dog friendly, and our children love the indoor pool. Staff have always been nice to us and super friendly towards our dog, but don't bring the dog to the bar. This hotel is probably better suited for business travelers than for families, but it works well for us. We have stayed during Christmas and Thanksgiving weeks, and because I think it's usually for business travelers, the hotel is nice and quiet. We also stayed during Texas-OU weekend, and the hotel was BUSY. There's no complimentary breakfast. It's not a make-or-break deal, but for families, having complimentary breakfast is convenient for sure. Sometimes deals come up for the corner suite. That room is super spacious. Definitely go for that. It's better than the standard hotel room.

Service was impeccable. The bar was good. The building was a little dated but very clean. They said they were about to do a large renovation. Free parking is available in parking garage onsite. I would recommend staying here. Only thing that will make it better is when the rooms are renovated.

For such a "nice" place, the room smelled bad, and I think the AC unit in the room wasn't working so well. Something outside the window (the AC I think) kept me up all night, just as I drifted off, it would bang again. When I mentioned it to the staff in the morning, they weren't terribly sympathetic. Pretty lobby, and friendly bar staff though.

A hotel and ememosa room, I had no problem when I came to this place. Quite the opposite, a place where you can feel like a luxury house.

The hotel is very luxurious. The restaurant is very delicious and not very expensive. The workers are very friendly and respectful.

What I liked was that if offers beautiful views of Dallas, and the foyer was recently remodeled with a contemporary look, the bed was comfortable, and the cookies offered by the front desk were delicious. Some of my christmas gifts I received were missing after I had my car valeted. I'm sure it was the valet driver. The front desk tried to charge me full price for the room until I pointed out that I had locked in a discounted rate through a 3rd party website.

This hotel has so much potential — it really does. The facilities are beautiful, great amenities, best indoor pool and hot tub in the area, and modern exercise room. Unfortunately, though, the level of customer service they provide is mediocre at best. I want the hotel to know that it is possible to have an elite facility without being snooty or treating others as "less than. " I watched a front desk employee roll his eyes and huff and puff because a person asked him if he had a pen they could borrow. I mean, it's a PEN! When asked how to connect to Wi-Fi as a guest, I had to interrupt the same front desk person from his personal cell phone, and then the instructions he gave were not accurate. The level of service he provided to the guests was based on what they were wearing, and that's a shame. Again, so much potential. The Starbucks on site sounded good, but the two times we visited, the drinks were not prepared correctly. I get it that they "serve" Starbucks and are not an official store, but if they display the logo, they should be able to prepare the drinks they have on the menu posted. On one occasion, the staff person asked me if Mocha was the chocolate one or…? Service is everything to me, especially when staying at a hotel like Marriott, and let's just say that I was not impressed.

My one night deposit of $50 for incidentals turned into a $117 hold on my card for no reason. I didn't park in their $22 A day parking garage and I didn't order anytging from my room. My A. C. Would no adjust to the temp I wanted it at and the plugs in my room at my nightstand didn't work. I woke up to a phone that had nearly no battery that was plugged in all night. No lamp and no alarm clock. I was told there was no late check out either. That was the first time I've ever heard that. This was my first time staying at this hotel. Not sure how all of this can be fixed. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Bas surprise, when I arrive to hotel late, I did check the room service menu and when it was written they offer some food between midnight and 6am they answer it was not possible. They lie on their offer. Don't take this hotel if you check-in late and want to eat something. Beside that room is clean, old but clean. I'm pretty sure hotel around will offer for real the offer they propose.

The best chef is there, no doubt.

Great location. All is the staff were kind and helpful. The room was nicely organized. The only issue that I had was that the standard Wi-Fi reception was horrible in my room. Neither my laptop now my cell phone could maintain a connection as it kept going in and out, while the premium Wi-Fi had a string signal. Don't like being forced to pay when the standard speeds would have been adequate for me.

Located off highway 75 it gives easy access to get to my client quickly. The hotel is sometimes pretty loud in the evenings as the open area in the middle allows for the sound to travel up no matter what floor you are staying on. I always stay on the side of the lobby as that seems to be the most quiet and it shelters you from the highway noise. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are always fairly clean. I have had room service several times and the food is average. Concierge floor is nice with a pretty decent selection with a variety of food choices in the evenings. I stay here almost every week for work and it is the nicest Marriott in the area.

Very friendly staff throughout my experience. Bartender very knowledgeable and pleasant. Bed was divinely comfortable. I was disappointed/surprised that I did not have a refrigerator in my room and my coworkers in other rooms had them. Additionally, my bathroom trash had not been emptied in my room when I arrived. Friends in other rooms stated their walls were thin and they could hear phone calls and kids quite easily as well as highway and train noise. My own room was quiet and I did not have any exterior sound issues on the opposite side of the hotel and apparently no neighbors as I never heard a peep.

Every single thing in this hotel looks great except for the rooms. I could just be speaking for my room but it looks like they need to be updated relatively soon. It's a good price that's why I give it four stars, the Ambiance outside of the room is really really nice. But inside the rooms it's definitely two and a half or three stars.

What a fabulous Hotel. I travel a lot for work and have seen many different types of hotels. From great to awful. And this one was certainly great. Though it is a ways away from downtown Dallas, there's a train station right behind it. Which made getting in and out of Dallas easier than driving my car! Whenever I'm in the area I'm going to stay here. As a final note every employee I dealt with was exemplary. Dwight at the front desk should be a trainer for all Marriott employees.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times. While this property is portrayed as an upscale hotel by Marriott, it is no longer what it once was. The hotel lobby is lovely, but the guest areas are a different story. We saw carpet seams in the corridor that were not sewn, which is a hazard to rolling luggage and shoe heels. Our room was not clean, and had a strong odor or floral spray. Additionally, when my husband stepped in the shower this morning there were multiple long dark hairs matted on the shower wall. Gross! The floor of the shower looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months, and there was actually a ring around the tub in our bathroom. In the past, we had a specific type of room reserved 10 months in advance. When we arrived, that room had been given to someone else. In trying to speak to the reservations office, I called multiple times, leaving multiple messages and never received a return call about the situation. Our bed felt like sleeping on box springs, and sounded just as bad. It was completely uncomfortable. The lady next door to us did not even have a top sheet on her bed. When she reported this, the front desk acted like she was asking for something special. This is a poorly managed property and has not deserved AAA 4-diamond in several years, but they still keep bragging about their 4-diamond status! Priorities are misplaced here.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times. It just keeps getting worse and worse. While this property is portrayed as an upscale hotel, it is still run by Marriott, which allows pets. And with that comes the lingering odor of pets in the guest rooms. Definitely not good for guests with allergies or sinus issues. Clean as well as you want, it's not going to get rid of all the pet dander or pet odor between guests. But this hotel does not clean, but simply uses cheap floral air-freshener to mask odors. When the guests' noses burn and head starts hurting after 20 seconds in the room, something is wrong! Nice and clean. We purchased the State Fair package and the staff seemed to not know exactly what it all entailed. Overall great stay.

We always love this Renaissance. Every aspect is wonderful. The rooms, the staff, THE BREAKFAST BAR! The pool temperature is always perfect. We come at least once a year, and usually more. Whenever we need to come anywhere within this area, we stay here. Oftentimes for special occasions, we cjoose to come here. There is a reason for that. It is excellent!

I was excited to stay at this location after reading the great reviews. If I was basing the experience on the quality of the outside facade, 1st floor, and the staff, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately an apparent remodel of the hotel stopped on the 1st floor. I walked into a 1970's era room with a dead cricket on the floor and many other cricket pieces scattered throughout. The room was warm even with the AC set as low as it would go and the only vent that had air coming out of it was the one in the bedroom. The cleanliness of the bathroom was decent and I did like the Aveda toiletries. After paying more for an Executive Suite (plus paying for parking), I expected at least a clean, vacuumed room. When I unpack the next day upon returning home, I should not find pieces of crickets in my suitcase. Disgusting. I say, spend your money elsewhere; you will have a nicer experience.

It is a beautiful place and is a gorgeous hotel. The first thing I noticed, it smells so clean. It was my first visit. They have only one person working at the front desk. I waited on line for a while. I decided to walk around to find the event that I was there to attend and found it. After I sat around for a little while, I noticed the wait staff was serving coffee for other tables, but never came to my table. Me other guests at the table sat for awhile. After we finished eating, I still did not get any coffee, and really want some coffee. I got up and looked for someone to bring us coffee. She said that my wait staff supposed to get our table coffee. If anything, this is the only thing that I am very not happy about. At the end of the event, the staff still did not come by our table at all. Overall experience, the staff at the door was very professional. Came to my car immediately as we pulled up and offered to help. The hotel is beautiful and would give it a stay one night someday since I am a Marriott member.

The Renaissance Dallas hotel in Richardson is beautiful and very conveniently located by the intersection of two major highways. There are excellent choices nearby for dining and recreation, as well as a fountain that is great for taking photos in front of. The cost is very reasonable and the staff is highly professional — this is a great place to stay!

This hotel is spacious and inviting. The front desk clerk was friendly and polite. The lobby has a lot of comfortable seating with the tables far enough apart for privacy.

I wasn't impressed. All flash and no bang. It does look nice but they offer very little to the average guest as far as perks. I've stayed at La Quinta that were nicer and offered more. It just depends on what kind of experience you are wanting. It was nice and worth staying there once but it's just not for me.

This is really nice hotel. It's really clean. Staff had been really friendly. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room. Personally I think paying for parking and internet is a bit ridiculous.

Great stay. It was under renovation but the front desk really went out of the way to accommodate us. We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast the next day.

Fantastic hotel, impeccable service, excellent staff, and very convenient. Easy access by DART train and bus, right off the freeway and plenty of parking. Safe and beautiful upscale neighborhood. Gorgeous bar and restaurant, immaculate rooms that are both spacious, modern and clean. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Requesteda few things several weeks in advance. Asked multiple times while there and recieved nothing during the 2 night stay. Staff was barely apologetic.

It was so fun I was invited because of JROTC millatary ball they were so nice and always keep things on check loved it.

This is a decent Marriott brand hotel along a metro line. Amenities and staff are good, and everything is clean. The hotel is also right next to a performance center. Other than that, there is not much to do in this area.

Good hotel. Mainly because of service. Room service for food and the restaurant r pretty awesome. They did go out of their way for us. Amazing staff. Rooms r dated. But ok. Beds r toooo firm. Sheets r good. Hotel is currently undergoing renovation. Not much noise though. Pool is small but nice. Worst part is parking. $15 a day for self parking is ridiculuous. Free street parking not even available. This is supposed to be Dallas not nyc. Add that to the cost.

Amazingly soft bed, and love the Aveda products. The bathroom could have been updated. Staff wasn't very helpful and blew off our questions. However if you need a place to sleep in on a soft bed, look here.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We were double charged for breakfast, once on our room and the other on our debit card. I've been trying to resolve this issue with the hotel nicely since Feb when this occurred. After 5 emails, they no longer answer my emails and the manager that should approve the reversal stated she was too busy to talk to me and I would leave "ANOTHER" email she would "try" to call me later. I told the gal on the phone that they leave me no choice but to dispute the claim with my bank and her response "that's fine". This happened on Feb 10th, it is now March 14th and the manager is TOO BUSY to take care of a customer service issue? I am appalled at the customer service this hotel has displayed. Marriott should be ashamed.

Beautiful hotel, and great place to book social/professional events! Right next to Eismann Center and nearby many restaurants, businesses, and only 5 minutes away from UT Dallas!

The hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but unfortunately it is a let down. Also guest have to pay additional parking. The room is above average, but nothing special. Our room's plumbing was questionable and the renovation were more extensive than advertised.

The rooms and service were both great. The restaurant was enjoyable. We picked this hotel for the indoor pool, so we were disappointed that it was ice cold.

The rooms were ok, nothing special. The bathrooms, however are quite special. When the person in the room across from yours uses the sink, yours will make noise and bubble. Creeper my wife out the first time it happened. Also, the breakfast that is put out in the lobby isn't free. So do go grab something and expect to walk off.

They are in construction now (early January). If you don't mind lots of construction noise while having breakfast or waiting for an elevator for 15 minutes because only one works at certain times, or get stuck in between floors like it happened to my relatives, or not having your room cleaned any given day, or no shower cap and when asking for one not getting in for 15 min, or waiting and waiting for a coffee pot to the table because the restaurant is seriously understaffed in the mornings… then you can stay here. A hotel of this level could do much better when it comes to service efficiency. The staff is all very nice especially the one serving breakfast. Not one sign apologizing for the construction, they should have a lower rate during this disruptive time.

The hotel lobby is very nice, and conference room Wi-Fi is available there for free, plus the music played in the lobby is surprisingly quite good. The hotel room itself is fairly standard with basic amenities. No free Wi-Fi is offered in the room. The bathroom is nice and the shower is excellent.

The hotel was very clean and elegant and the help was very polite and successfully helped in times of need.

The place was awesome. People were very friendly. Made is feel like at home.

As a life time platinum member I would expect to get an complementary upgrade. Apparently this hotel does not value someone who has stayed 2, 000 nights with their hotel chain. No upgrade and they failed to credit my account with Marriott Rewards Points. If they treat a Life Time Platinum member this way. How do they treat the typically guest? This is the 3rd time I stayed at this hotel there have been an excessive number of kids running in the halls, screaming, doors slamming, kids playing on the elevators, etc. Apparently they cater to the kids sports teams, cheerleaders, etc. Not a hotel for a relaxing stay or a professional.

I just come back from labor day weenkend staying at Renaissance Richardson and here's my views: Pro: nice looking lobby makes you feel it's worth the price but just the lobby. Good breakfast buffett. Con: very rude valet personel, wait for elevator forever, ugly green carpet, old sofa, dirty sofa pillow, stain on wall, no trash liners in their 3 waste baskets, dirty fridge. No free Wi-Fi. List goes on Overall: I will never come back. Not family friendly. I arrived at this hotel after 6 hours of driving and encounter a short tempered valet person (white and late thirty early forty) and got scold at and yelled at me like a dog. He did that to the van in front of me too. First time there so he should explain where to park the car to check in. The first person you meet at this "upscale" Marriott chain is someone yelling at you like you're not a human being. He does not have incentive to be nice because you pay for valet or self park anyway. I'm obviously upset because I treat people with respect and these is what I get. I have much better overall experience at Double Tree and Hyatt and many other places at half the price. Visit Addison/Richardson all the time but Never come back to this hotel.

Cold conference room, making me sleepy so it's hard to concentrate on a class with a test at the end. Dirty restrooms. No free Wi-Fi.

I booked the wrong night at the Renaissance Richardson on Orbitz and when I showed up at the hotel the next day, I was told I was booked as a no show for the night before. The front desk told me that I would have to call Orbitz to re-book as well as they weren't certain that they could honor the rate on Orbitz. After 1 minute of seeing my distraught face, the front desk gentleman, Tal, graciously said he would see what he could do. He re-booked me with no charge and for the same rate as I got with Orbitz! What a treat to have such exceptional service! He alleviated my stress instantly. He also went out of his way to grab two bottled waters for me and my husband! Highly recommend! It was a beautiful, comfortable room!

Stayed there for a week recently, everything was a delight! Excellent service, close to Dallas, plus excellent restaurants nearby. One day the kitchen got a little overzealous and woke up the whole hotel to the smell of Bacon. I thought that was funny and I love the smell of bacon (who doesn't. :p.

You have got to have lunch there. I dropped in after their breakfast buffet for a cup of coffee. Waiting for kids across the street at Symphony. Ordered their lobster bisque and died and went to heaven! Bisque poured over huge chunks of lobster at my table. Served with a remarkable bread basket along with fresh and refreshing chutney. Made my day.

Their service is the problem. Except that, not bad.

I stay in Marriott properties 3-6 months out of the year. I am a Marriott Platinum Member. For this hotel, I got hung up on (accidentally) three times before being connected to a reservationist. She quoted the govt. Rate at $109 (the actual rate was $107). I asked if they would do $107 like the Hilton, they would not. I got there at 11 PM. No valet or help with luggage. I specifically asked to be put on the 12th floor concierge level, I was originally put on the 8th. Later learned the concierge lounge was not open on the weekend. Normal, yes, but they could have let me know when I requested it. At check in, on the 12th floor, my keys did not work. The front desk clerk asked "how is everything so far" I said "do you really want to know", he replied, "Oh, bad, sorry". I said do you want to knew. He replied "Not really" and left. My keys didn't work and neither did another guest I rode the elevator with. I told them their service sucked. They gave me a 2 drinks for 2 people voucher. The bar said that mean two drinks period. Charged us for the other two. The room was clean except the bathroom. Little hairs all around. Breakfast looked like a war zone. I was seated at a table just vacated with a dirty tablecloth and an old cup of coffee. Buffet items were aged. Overall, nice property with POOR management. Nice location.

Certainly the best hotel in Richardson. It's not absolutely stellar but it offers much.
