We highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great night view from the balcony. Beautiful historic building and great location within walking distance to Sunday Square, restaurants etc.

So I’ve waited down here for 2 hours. Mind you I have paid three nights in advance and Brittany.

Hotel is old and outdated! AC does not cool at all and even though thermostat says it can cool to 65 it won’t cool lower then 75! Shower would only partially turn on. Staff offered me another room claiming AC must have “froze up” and the room was same temp. Rooms are TINY. Never again!

Nothing like finding a palmetto bug in one’s bathroom the first day here. Was I taken care of nope, they gave me a free beer. The decor is out dated, checked the carpets in closets. They have not been vacuumed in ages! Besides the amazing view, I would not recommend this Marriott to anyone. I only did asked to be moved to a new hotel is because co-workers are staying at a hotel next door.

First, the front desk employees were very friendly and helpful. This is not about them. We were there for the Cowtown Marathon. We were all pretty tired afterward. We didn't realize we passed checkout time. We were getting ready and one of the girls went to grab a bite to eat and was going to come back and get her stuff. Meanwhile, I found out we passed checkout time (11:00) and Thank goodness another friend in another room had a late checkout. She said I could move her things there. Well, 1) I had to go down to the front desk to get my card to work — it was only 11:30. I had to go down and reactivate my card to open the room to move her belongings. Well, I was flustered with moving my stuff and her stuff that I left a bag behind in our room. My friend came and got her things and everyone went home. However, once she got home she realized a bag was missing. So she immediately called the hotel. Got housekeeping's voice mail, not surprising, it was late, then I called first thing this morning and I got voice mail. I left a message, didn't hear back and I called again this afternoon and told the front desk my situation. He was really nice and said he'd go find them and have them call. Mind you, this is BARELY over 24 hours since we left. Well, the housekeeping mgr called and claimed that they did not have the bag, just some chargers and clothes (which probably weren't hers anyway). This was a pretty big lululemon bag with handles on it — shopping bag that was full of things.

We’ve always had a great experience with the exception of last night. The lines were long, the Room keys were not working properly. The front desk employee (African-American women) was rude. After we checked in and put our personal items in our room. We went downstairs to wait for our friends to arrive. As we waited again there was a long line, a guest comes rushing out of the elevator saying that they issued them a room that was already taken. The employee asked what do you mean? He said there’s luggage and an Xbox in the Room! She said tell me the room #… he tells her and I hear it and it was our room! Needless to say I was not happy about some strangers going in to our room. I really hope y’all get it together because we really like staying at this particular hotel.

Stay last night July 30, 2017, the room had a Terrace and a great view of downtown! The room was neat and clean, had a microwave, and alittle refrigerator.
We walked to The Water Gardens, Malone's Pub and dinner at Thai Tina's it was a great day! We enjoyed The Blackstone.
