Decent location, easy to find and friendly staff. On the downside, the pool was out of order, a couple of the lights and the bathroom fan within the hotel room didn't work, and I found more than a few hairs in my bed that weren't mine on the first night of my stay. When they were changed I didn't have any unknown hairs to be found. I also wanted to close the heavy curtains before going to sleep but found out they don't close… all there was to block view through the window was a sheer curtain… that doesn't make sense.

I made reservations for two nights, got here their system is down my reservation is not ready! The hotel it’s under construction I think because the AC in the hallway was not ON! Hot like hell. This time I travel with my family so my 5 year old was not happy to find out the pool is “BROKEN” when he was all dressed up in the lobby asking “where is the pool”? The remote on the TV not program terrible hotel.

Stayed for 4 days — GREAT EVERYTHING. Front Desk Clerks were Exceptional, the FREE Breakfast was delicious, convenient location to other late night eats. Rooms were clean and the TV offered great channels. Even the workout room was useful.

Stars are only for the nice lady at the front desk (I think her name was Amanda). She was super sweet and let us check in early even though I know it's really annoying when people do that. Apart from that, it was the worst Hampton I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed in at least 15 different Hampton Inn's over the last 2 years). I am an Honors gold member (which I've found out doesn't mean very much to Hilton anyway. ) This hotel has been under renovations, so it's understandable that things would be a bit of a mess. But this one cannot use renovations as an excuse. And, it's super annoying that we had to pay full price for a hotel that is in such poor shape. There were cigarette butts and random pieces of bagels strewn about in the hallway of our floor. The supposedly new carpet was dirty. We stayed on a floor that we were told was already fully renovated, but our room was still not in good shape. The air conditioning unit was shoddy — our room was sweltering even though we had the air turned down as far as it would go. There was not a drain stop for the tub. We had to re-sign into the wireless internet anytime our computers fell asleep. Not soundproof at all, and there were some really loud guests next door that woke me up at 1 in the morning with slamming doors and shouting. Breakfasts at all Hampton Inns have gone so far downhill.

Only reason I'm not giving a one star is the kindness of the staff at this location. They were good folk. Otherwise, Hilton should be embarrassed to call this Hampton Inn one of their properties. It's currently under heavy renovations, which is completely understandable. That said, we stayed in one of the "newly renovated" rooms. To say they cut corners is an understatement. Fixtures were cheap and poorly done. The shower was missing components and leaked. Shower rod, which was just installed, was already falling of the wall. There air conditioning unit in our renovated room had both knobs broken off, and it would not cool the room. The new carpet was so badly stained by those putting it into the halls that it already looked like it needed to be replaced. Cigarette butts were lying in the hallway floor. As was old food. The elevator was almost unusable. We waited over 5 minutes for it before eventually using the stairs. The public restrooms downstairs were filthy and smelled like a bad gas station bathroom. Hampton Inn is not a luxury hotel by any stretch. But, for $100 per night average, I expect a lot more than cigarette butts in the hall and broken knobs on the AC. I've stayed in dozens of Hampton Inn properties at this point, and this was by far the worst. These conditions were sub-standard for a budget motel, let alone a property owned by Hilton.

They mistook my room, assigned it to someone else after I had occupied it.

This Hotel was not what I expected, I expected more. The first thing I see before I go in build at door was cigarettes butts, in the entrance then a cat sitting by entrance door, they left bowls where they feed it. Peoples standing in front of entrances door smoking, air fresher sticks all over area in front, a smell of mill dew inside when you walk in. I spoke to lady at front desk about smell an them smoking in front of door, her response was that I can ask them to move. Then I get on elevator theirs alot of broke floor towels on both elevators. When this is a safety issues. I go to room their is No Coffee maker, but of course there is coffee. They did bring me a coffee maker. I go to batroom it not clean correct I see wall is dirty an toilet an no trash bag in can. I go to get Ice down hall there it is dark, light does not work. Not safe… The bed was very comfortable. This place is associated with the the Hilton it is liking, much to be desired. I Went for breakfast that morning it was excellent all types of food, But that does not make up for everthing else that was wrong. Please keep in mind that this Hotel was doing some remodeling at this time. I would have Never can if I would have known about remodel. I would have went somewhere else, but I booked ahead an prepayed. But I will not be returning to this location, because I am Very disappointed in the Quality at this Hotel. This was definitely not worth the price I paid to stay. Was like Motel 6. Just not the food.

Excellent rooms, comfortable beds the staff of the best only a small problem of not being the rooms available on arrival to occupy it.

This place has been under construction for over a year. Kinda messy. Staff is great though. I would reccomwt the Fairfield next doo.

I went to Dallas to see my grandbaby for the first time we rented two rooms one regular room double bed and one Suite. The suite was amazing the cleanliness of the room is impeccable the staff is awesome. The prices were good. We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was really good. Very family friendly. I recommend staying here.

Nice hotel, though a bit threadbare in the rooms. Our room had a damaged chair and chips in the wood cabinet. Our shower faucet valve required some work to function but the room was clean and featured a mini fridge and freezer, plus a small microwave. The staff have all been friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast bar features a nice selection of foods.

Avoid This Hotel! Summary: staff lacks training, housekeeping is a joke, room condition far from Hampton’s standards, incompetent (and seemingly non-existent) manager As others noted as much as 10 months prior to our stay, this hotel is still under renovation, but that has zero impact on our issues. Our family was transitioning to Dallas and stayed in this hotel for 16 nights while we waited for our apartment to be ready. We chose Hampton because that’s our top choice (and I’m a Hilton Honors member). It was me, my wife, and our three kids (ages 6-16). Things got off on a bad note from the moment of the reservation. Hilton Honors website listed standard rooms and a “larger” room (not a suite). Uncertain how much “larger” that meant, I called the hotel, only to be told it was “larger. ” I asked how much larger and what that means, she said it was “bigger. ” Not helpful at all. I made the reservation anyway. When we checked in, they asked for my card, presumably to verify things. I asked if the card was going to be charged or anything because we didn’t have enough to cover it yet (the money was in savings and we weren’t going to transfer it until we paid). She assured me it wouldn’t be charged or anything. The next day we had an overdraft fee because they actually ran the card. This was dishonest on them and caused us financial loss (aka, harm). We were livid.

If I could give zero stars I would. I'm writing this review to deter people from going here if at all possible. First off, they gave us a hard time to use the friends and family discount because the person that booked it wasn't there, though they made the reservation. They were gracious enough to let it slide which I appreciated it on the count we just arrived from our flight. The room was okay, not the best, but I'm the kind of person that overlooks that because we aren't staying there for the hotel, but to get to know the city. So, my first night there was alright, up until I was awake at like 5:30AM, checking my phone and noticing some dark insect crawling on my pillow. Instinctively I squashed it and out came blood! Never have I ever come across a bed bug, but after reading a review from a week ago I was certain that's what it had been. Thoroughly grossed out, I knew switching to another room wouldn't bode well with me, so I booked another hotel and hope for a refund. Please avoid this place!

Wish I could give a zero star! BEWARE! BED BUGS! I have by far experienced the worst stay in my 12 or 13 years of staying with the Hilton Family. For the Christmas Holiday we usually visit family in the Dallas area. This year turned out to be a disaster. I chose the Hampton Inns and Suites at 1718 North Cockrell Road in Dallas, TX. We got back to the hotel that evening and got in bed maybe around 10 pm. Then about 11 or 1130 I felt something crawling on me. I turned on the lights to see what is was, and it was a very small red bug. After pulling the covers back to look at that bug, we discovered several bugs. One very small and the others were a lot larger. After taking a good look at the bugs we discovered they were bed bugs. So we started looking at the mattress to see where they were coming from. There were dead ones and very active moving bed bugs at the top of the bed near the pillows. I got on the phone to call the front desk. I asked the front desk clerk had they been having problems with bed bugs. She said yes in the past, and I told her that there was some in my room (424). She didn't know what to do but she said she was calling her manager. I told her that I had some concerns about my purse that was on the floor next to the bed, and my luggages that were sitting wide open. The luggages that did not get opened we immediately put them in the hall.

Really friendly workers. Breakfast awesome. Really felt safe. Better than most places we have stayed.

Standard Hampton. A lot of shopping close by, and some good restaurants not too far away. Taco Bell in the parking lot for you stoners out there. Hotel is currently getting remodeled on the exterior, but it was not a problem. No significant noise.

My stay was very pleasant. My room was clean, neat and plenty of room. I especially liked having a big desk and a couch to sit and enjoy a meal and some TV time from, rather than having to sit in a bed.

The is the filthies hotel! It should NOT be in the Hilton family of hotels, This location is NOT maintaining the Hilton Hotel standards. We checked in and checked out 2 hours later. There was mold in the air conditioner, mold in the shower, missing caulk in the shower, dirty lampshades. Trash under the bed skirt. Filthy curtains. I called Hilton corporate office to report this hotel.

Easy check in, nice room, air conditioner was really cold, comfy bed, easy check out.

The staff is very friendly and respectful. The rooms are nice and the room service has been great.

Checked in major construction partial hallway blocked plus musty smell in room. Air conditioner filter is absolutely filthy. Areas show where construction was finished but needs deep cleaning.

BED BUGS! BED BUGS! My wife stayed there the last 2 nights and had bed bugs in both of the rooms that she stayed in! They moved her after the first night but the second room had bed bugs as well. Patel, Nemish, & Amanda were all involved in helping re-mediate the issue, but it seemed that they couldn't do much other than move to another room. Very unhappy that my wife had to deal with this and now has over 30 bed bug bites. Now we have the fear of bring the bugs home!

Before I start I'll give some background. I stay in Hilton hotels an average of 200+ nights per year. This was the worse Hampton (any hotel for that matter) I've stayed in, in over 10 years. The chairs and furniture in the dining area is NASTY. Nothing a good clean can fix, but it's not been cleaned in years. I didn't even sit down to eat my breakfast. I stood by the tall table. The carpets in the rooms are very dirty. They are in the process of "Remodeling" and I plan to give them another chance in about 12 months. But the nasty furniture can not be resolved by remodeling, just cleaning. They get 2 ** from me because the breakfast was good and fresh. Bed looked clean. The night staff friendly.

Service was good, and good views of the downtown skyline. Faucet popped off the wall while I was taking a shower, reason for the 3 star rating. That said, they did manage to "fix" it promptly. Did not use the shower subsequently to see how that fared. Location is strategically decent. If for work, traffic might need to be factored in but quick access to I30. Also was undergoing construction, so might have been a factor.

Stayed here to rest before returning home to Little Rock. Was a lot more quiet than the hotel at which we'd stayed the previous day. Woke this morning and a roach ran away as I turned on the bathroom light. It's ranked a 2 star hotel for a reason.

Nice hotel just a few minutes outside of downtown Dallas. Clean, friendly and welcoming staff. The Wi-Fi needed a little work though.

My experience here hasn't been that good so far yesterday I wanted to take a shower and the water was freezing cold I call front desk to let them know and they say they weren't aware of it but the she was going to call maintenance, nothing was done about it I had to take a shower with cold water because I needed to leave for a meeting then today again I'm trying to take a shower before I check out water is freezing cold I call front desk they say that they didn't know about it that they were going to call the plumber, I waited an hour went to talk to them in person and a lady called Adriana was at the front desk at the moment I explain her what's going on and she said that she called the plumber, I explain her that I called yesterday and nobody came and fixed it and today's the same problem, to what she answered with " I wasn't here yesterday it wasn't me who answer your call and I can't control the water" I don't know for everybody else but for me that was something very unprofessional and rude so I explained to her that I was letting her know what was going on so she can pass it on to whomever was above her. Few minutes later she called me saying she talked to the manager and that the manager told her that it wasn't their fault but they were going to give me a discount of $20 but they still haven't fix the water problem.

As someone else mentioned, the hotel is being renovated, but when I stayed there it was only on the outside. I stayed there for 3 days. It was always very quiet, the breakfast buffet really hit the spot to get me going for the day. They also had my favorite brand of tea in several different flavors. Last, but not least, the staff was always courteous and greeted me with a smile each time I came into the lobby. I will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area.

My stay was great. The room (double Queen) was nothing spectacular, but definitely comfortable. The AC worked great! Breakfast in the morning was hot and tasty, and the cookies in the lobby were a great touch.

This hotel is literally falling apart. From the caved in floor in the entryway and lobby to the half clean rooms and finally the absolute worst breakfast EVER. 10 separate instances I have reminded management and the owners that warm yogurt is gross so you'd like to see them put some ice in the bin. The lack of care and quality starts at the top and today is the last time I will be checking out here.

I have stayed in this few weeks ago and at the time of check out, I was in rush and forgot my Bose QC25i Headphones in my room on the TV desk. When I realize I forgot them in my room, I called the hotel right the way. After explaining what happened, they checked my room and told me that there is nothing left behind, then I spoke with house keeping manager. She told me that she will talk to the house keeper and get back to me within 24 hours. It's been over 3 weeks and she hasn't gotten back to me yet. Also, I have emailed and called many time the Hotel manager Brandon Gray and hasn't gotten any response from him as well. Forgotten item disappears same day after checkout. Someone is not doing his/her job and effects hotel customers. Non secure Hotel and be careful not to forget anything behind because it will disappear. I'm about to be a Diamond member with Hilton and I'll think twice selecting them again.

This is definitely the worst Hampton I've been to and Hampton is my hotel of choice. The entrance had a huge hole that was covered up by rugs. The shower door in our room was off its track and there were "things" people had wiped on the bathroom wall that they removed from their nose. It was disgusting.

Friendly staff, nice size room, and good breakfast. However maintenance is a little lacking. There's a big depression in the floor just inside the front door to the lobby (underneath the Welcome rug), the carpets are stained even though the hotel doesn't seem very old, and the parking lot is full of deep potholes.

Very good hotel although they couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work for a few hours.

I was a security guard working at the fairfield that is under construction on N Cockrell. We had nothing to help keep us awake. I went into the hotel and requested to have some of the hot cocoa. The lady was extremely nice and hospitable. She greeted me with a warm smile that cut through the cold outside making me feel at home. I was very impressed. If I ever stay around this area this would be the place I would choose hands down. :)

Not quite what I expected.! Best western was better. The second time We stayed. : (pricy and not all that great. : (

Very nice hotel and facilities. This facility is a nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well appointed. The fitness center is rather basic (two treadmills, one eliptical, and a basic weight machine) but the machines were in good shape and worked just fine. The breakfast was also basic but had a good selection of waffles, yogerts, and breakfast proteins.

Don't know what all the fuss is over I stay here a couple times a month and find the staff to be great and rooms to be comfortable. My biggest gripe is the breakfast they should focus on what they are good at the Continental Breakfast part.
