For a one night stay, if you are looking for a reasonable priced hotel, if you have pets, if you expect excellent guest services or a nice room, AVOID Hyatt Place San Antonio Riverwalk. High priced rooms and fees for mediocre guest services, pet and parking fees, and a room in need of upgrades / renovations. On Thanksgiving, I stayed in room 104. The dog/pet fee was $75 dollars combined with a $20 parking fee, which was high given my family was at the hotel for less than 14hrs. On top of this, I was charged an additional San Antonio Tourism fee, State and City Tax fee for my pet! As for the room itself, the bathroom was cramped. In fact, so cramped that the bathroom door did not close without banging into the toilet. The bathroom door did not even close when the shower mat was laid on the floor. The room, carpet and walls itself were not well kept and overall, guest services was average. For the parking fee, had I realized the parking meters were free ahead of time (which I should have known), I would have parked at the free metered parking. I would have thought the hotel would have waived the fee since parking was free everywhere else. 2 out of 5 stars.
