This is a nice place to stay and it’s a nice area to be at.

Surfaces are sticky, curtains are messed up, room smells weird and the window is open and I can’t close it. The staff that checked me in was really rude.

Big rooms and very clean.

Greatful for all the staff that worked during the winter storm! it was nice to have people cater to us like family after being without power for days it was nice to be welcomed and accommodated. As a military family we have stayed in MANY hotels by far our experience at the Best Western Plus on 281 North had exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Wonderful staff that went beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Wonderful experience.

This hotel is a treasure. The staff are so friendly and provide us with OUTSTANDING SERVICE. The hotel itself is older but beautifully updated. My room was very comfortable with TWO TVs (So helpful when you are traveling with kids) Breakfast went above my expectations. There were some many options most times my family and I have to go out for breakfast but not at this hotel. The breakfast was so satisfying. We will definitely return to this hotel when visiting San Antonio. Thank you Best Western for your hard work and care!

This hotel and its staff are outstanding. My family and I have never been so well treated. Erica at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was delicious and our room was very spacious and clean. I definitely recommend this hotel. We stayed over the weekend. Parking was tight due to several Trucks taking up more then one stall with trailers. However the girls at the front desk were very helpful in directing me where to park even under so much pressure from other impatient guest. Well done! management you should be very proud of your staff.

My wife and children visited San Antonio on a weekend and used this location as our home base for the duration of the trip. The experience was great! The interior looks very good and the amenities were well-maintained. We enjoyed playing in the pool and the kids really liked the breakfast options. This was a great spot at a great price!

Clean and comfortable although I had some minor complaints. Had to ask for hairdryer, not enough light for putting on makeup, toilet flushed very loudly. Amazed that there were two big screen TVs in our room.

One room reservation, two night stay. Boyfriend and myself stayed here this last New year. I was able to call the front desk there from out of town and book his reservation for him very quickly. They gave us a fair rate and promptly got everything set up, which we appreciated. They allowed him an early check-in the next morning so that he could get some rest, which we also appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was great, parking was plentiful with easy access to the doors despite construction in the area at the time, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating. They also allowed us a late check-out by an hour and a half so that my boyfriend could get a nap in before the long drive home. The only downsides were that one of the overhead lights in the room was out right by the door and the television remote kept getting reset which made that amenity unusable. Otherwise, we are extremely grateful for the staff at the Best Western Plus for helping to make us so comfortable!

This place is awesome! Friendly, helpful staff, very nice, comfortable room. I wanted a hotel with a hot tub and theirs is great! Highly recommend.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean. Staff was accomadating. They do have a pretty good breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was AWESOME. Parking sucks. It is close to walmart and restaurants. Good stuff! They had ice tea out, but it sucked. I was looking so forward to it. Room was nice.

My first thought was, "this is a great place" BUT as I settled into my room several things were wrong. Someone unpluged the air conditioner, which by the time I came back to my room the room temp was 84° and my main bathroom light did not work. Now, the air conditioner would not have been a problem if I did not suffer from hot flashes and by 10:30 am the next day the room only cooled down to 78°. The toilet would run all night if you did not hold the handle up until it stopped. The microwave was dirty and the closet only has one door and to top it off when someone took a shower the noise was so loud It woke me up. The breakfast area was a HOT MESS and the trash cans were overflowing with trash. I saw one lady trying to keep up but, she was losing the battle. Nice location but, the room (at least my room) needs some serious maintenance!

Great hotel stay. Rooms were clean and bed is comfortable. Only complaint is the Hall needs AC on.

Easy check in. Superb room using price line and a cheap price. Breakfast was great with a good variety. Would def recommend!

Two room reservation/3 night stay. The Good: The staff was so nice, some very awesome professionalism! The breakfast offered was very good. The Not-So-Good: One room was dirty when we walked in so we had to request a clean one (easily fixed), the other room only had only one towel each day (easy to ask for more though). The back door always being unlocked bothered me a bit about safty. It was a decent place to stay.

The motel is surprisingly nice and we'll kept. The staff was very friendly and there was a decent continental breakfast. The only negative mark would be the "fit-and-finish" but not so bad that I would not be willing to stay again.

Slept in the double queen and pull out couch room. The comfort was nothing spectacular, but for the price it was good. Everything was clean. The only thing was the 'full kitchen' in one if the rooms didn't have any sort of oven, we almost got pizzas for the family to eat, glad we didn't get food till after we saw the room. Just more of a heads up rather than complaint.

The hotel was nice and the a staff were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The a. C. Was really loud and the walls were super thin. My only real complaint was breakfast. The beans were watery and more like a soup, there was no breakfast meat option and the toaster only toasted one side of the bagel and there was only off brand cream cheese that tastes gritty.

Check in was quick & easy, Erica was very helpful & went out of her way to make us feel at home. All the hotel staff was very nice. The hotel is newly renovated & beautiful! Everything looks modern & very welcoming. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable! Breakfast was delicious! Hotel Wi-Fi was fast & gave us no problems connecting. We enjoyed a very quiet good nights rest! Would definitely recommend this hotel & stay again!

Best Western is consistently clean throughout various parts of the country. This was another that we have been too that was nice. We liked the location with many restaurants around the area. It was not far from Fiesta Texas. The room we stayed in was big, had a pull out coach. Also had a frig and microwave that some hotels do not offer anymore. The breakfast was good, good selection.

We stopped here on our way home from interviews in South Texas. The hotel was modern and clean. The beds were very comfy and rom was Large! The breakfast as delicious. I especially loved the refried beans for making your own breakfast Tacos. Great place for your money!

Very nice contemporary hotel. This is not the Best Western style hotel from years ago. The entire hotel looked great and modern. We had a suite with two beds, pull out bed, and a kitchenette. This location is also very convenient to Six Flags, shopping, and eating.

Great hotel for the price. Front desk receptionist was very helpful when needed and extremely friendly. Very clean, nice furniture and bed. Highly recommend.

Nice enough room and a decent price. However, there was only 1 towel in the room and the bathtub had a couple hairs in it (jacuzzi suite). I just cleaned them out myself. Breakfast was good!

I cannot express my gratitude to the front desk staff! As evacuees during Harvey they received us with such warmth, were understanding and had their own plan in place! The rooms were clean and spacious and made my stay a very pleasant one, despite the circumstances. Thank you!

We have stayed at this hotel before a few years ago, it was awesome then. Have went way, way down since then. First of all we were supposed to be able to check in anytime after 3:00pm on Friday August 4th. We arrived there between 7:00pm or 7:30pm. The person at the front desk said she didn't think our room was ready, she went to go check came back and said it would be about 15 minutes told us to help our self to the snacks we could get anything we wanted while we waited on our room. They was already free to the quest so it was not like she was giving us anything. She come back to tell us it was going to take a little longer and that she was going to go help the ladies clean. All together we waited for about 30 to 45 minutes after we had drove over and hour stuck in traffic I was ready to go into my room. We finally get in. My daughter later back to front desk to get blankets, and sheets for the sofa bed. When she get down there she said there were lines and people complaining that there rooms were not ready yet this was about 10:30pm to 11:00pm by then. Said there were people just cancelling and going some where else. Also like the one comment I saw, Toilet that flushes only the back half of the bowl (loudly). Really gross. Saturday morning the cleaning lady come to see if we need the room clean told her no we just needed towels, was told the towels were not ready they were in the dryer and she would bring them to us in about 15 minutes.

Even though the hotel was being renovated they did a good job making sure that none of that disturbed our stay. The rooms were fresh and clean at an affordable rate. I'd never stayed at a Best Western before but now I think I'll be looking into these more often.

Nice rooms and they are renovating making them even better! Guest service was awesome along with the room service! Great staff from start to finish at the front desk! Never did try the breakfast (we are still here lol) but our kids say that the breakfast is awesome and our sons love the homemade Texas Waffles! Our Vacation has been so freaking awesome! Bring your own kitchen items if you are planning on using the kitchen for anything. Bring bleach wipes and your own mop to clean the floors. I've stayed at multiple best westerns and this one is by far the worst one. Although the breakfast was good, it changed a little everyday. There were multiple plumbing parts left all over the room, that's dangerous, I have a young child that could have gotten but by them if I didn't find them first. On the last night we were there, maintenance was working on the room under ours, they were using power tools and hammers till 11pm. The hotel is a little hard to get to but after finding an ally it made it easier.

We were here this past weekend. Hospitality here is amazing. It is definitely worth the price. Our room was clean and comfortable and staff are very nice.

Very Impressed with the service that Erica and Kevin provided for my family! We will definitely stay here again next time my husband coaches at UTSA. The room was comfortable and clean with a pull out sofa for Gwyn to sleep. The pool was clean and shaded. I highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to San Antonio near 1406 or UTSA. Everything was great except for having a room right above the pool. People were out at the pool being rather loud until after midnight. We could hear everything going on at the pool from our room with the windows closed and the AC on. Luck of the draw…

Great hotel room. Clean and large! Complimentary breakfast and happy hour with free wine, draft beer, snacks, and warmed baked cookies. If I ever have to stay in San Antonio again, 10/10 would definitely stay here!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, everything was great. Breakfast was delicious they had real eggs, sausage, bacon, tortillas so you could make your own taco. They even have biscuits with gravy, yogurt and etc. Their front desk staff was nice and courteous, answered all of our questions. Only downfall to our stay was the fire incident but staff handled that really well alarms went off at about 2:30ish. Front desk agent Erica made sure everyone was out of the building by knocking on everyones door. Yes we were on the 3rd floor and there was smoke so we had to go down the stairs because you know Elevators shut off when there's a fire, it is for everyones safety. It was freezing cold outside while we waited for the ok to go back inside. Room smelled like smoke afterwards but that is expected after a fire, Its not like the hotel was doing it on purpose, unfortunately accidents do happen. I would stay at this hotel again because everything was great and I wouldn't judge the hotel or staff just on the lil fire incident when everything else was great.

I stayed with them for a few months while working in the area, I was treated like family all of the staff was very courteous and friendly and the whole place was very clean I would love to stay again anytime.

Hotel caught on fire due to staff mistake! Owner claimed to be on his way multiple times and never showed up! COWARD Elevator was not working either Guest evacuated at 2:30 in the cold 6 fire trucks showed up Unbelievable. Mistakes happen but I still can not believe the owner did not show up to his establishment. Will never recommend this place. Stay away.

One of the best places to stay! We will be staying at this motel every time! Everything about our stay was great — The staff, the room and the services!

I regret staying here. Best western is usually my first choice when I'm traveling. This particular establishment does not deserve the "Plus" label. Room was dirty, uncaring staff. The best western atrium inn further east from this location is much better.

Our original stay was from July 30 — Aug 2nd and we checked in at 12 or 12:30 AM on July 31st. Note that I called the hotel ahead of time to let them know that we will be checking in late as we were driving in from Houston. When we arrived at the hotel and obtained keys for our room, we realized our rooms were not ready. We were missing atleast 1 or 2 items from each room (towels, quilts, pillows, a trash can, unused soap, etc) and had to provide a list of missing items to the receptionist downstairs who was nice enough to get those items to us within an hour. Additionally, two of the rooms we were provided had door locks which were not functioning properly. We made the receptionist aware of the situation who said that it was normal for the doors to get jammed and offered to either move us or have maintenance take a look at the doors the next morning. One of the locks (room 227) refused to work altogether so we ended up moving to another room (229 — handicapped) which smelled and had insects. See the attached pictures of what looks like a roach and a grasshopper. The next morning I spoke to the manager about the inconvenience we encountered upon check in who apologized and mentioned that he would talk to housekeeping but I never heard anything else from him. Later in the day (approximately 6PM), I discovered that my brother and sister (staying in 229) had bed bug bites on their necks and back and we also did not receive housekeeping services in rooms 229 and 228.
