On our travels we stopped at the Rodeway Inn, in Sweetwater Tennessee. Kevin was super helpful in reserving a pet friendly room for us, with a phone call. He was actually very friendly at check-in. The rooms were clean, yet very dated. A plus for them was that there was no bedbugs, which is important to ALL of us. The room size was decent, and didn't feel cramped. The sheets were clean and the beds were comfy. There was an excellent little pond in the back of the motel. There were the cutest ducks and geese that made me smile first thing in the morning. They waddled under the balcony and shook their tail feathers at us. Those qualities are why I gave this place any stars at all. The reason I detracted stars was because of these facts: 1) The room smelled as if a murder had been committed in it, or that there was something dead in the walls. While leaving I noted that the hallway smelled just the same. It seriously kept me up researching if one had actually been committed in there. So, needless to say, the air quality was horrific. 2) The air conditioning did not work well enough for the size of the room and I found myself sweating while in bed. I slept with no blankets… And was still hot. 3) The crummy cable in the room kept going in and out. Pretty annoying when you're in the middle of a show. 4) The plumbing was horribly loud.

Hotel is located within 20 minutes of several attractions. The hotel is a bit dated, but it is clean and felt safe. The staff is friendly and the ducks and geese at the guest pond out back was a nice touch. For the price, it is a great place to stay!

I find that people often over rate a place just because staff is nice. Pros; price, staff, clean. Cons; musty smelling first room. Asked for another. I had to take a room at the front and it was VERY noisy. Ambulances and traffic very loud. Its unbelievable that no one else has recently mentioned this. I could not sleep.

My family and I stayed 2 nights at this facility; it was clean and well kept. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. They serve continental breakfast in a clean area and with fresh items. My daughter loved making her own waffles. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Staff was very polite. Our room was very clean. Clean bathroom. We will most certainly be staying again when we come back to sweetwater.

This is a nice place to stay, and the staff is very friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests.

The tub was dirty, there were pubic hairs in and on the tub. The sink had hair. The mat had mold growing on it, the bed had a cigarette burn on the blanket. My fathers room had a coffee pot that squirted water everywhere.
The roof outside over the main entrance was falling down. The lobby had wires coming out of the wall by the ceiling. It smelled in the hotel. I will never return.

I was extremely pleased with my room, very comfortable and clean. Price was excellent! Staff is very friendly!

Staff was unbelievably helpful. I lost my fitness tracker while I was there. A gentleman who worked there helped me look until we found it. Beds are very comfortable. I liked that all our sheets and blankets were removed for washing as we left since we had our dogs with us. Breakfast was basic (coffee and waffles were excellent). Would be nice if updated a bit to include USB plugs. Would stay there again!

I am giving rodeway a five star review. My room was very clean. I believe when I checked in the lady who help us was Diana. She was so nice and so was the other lady. The beds were comfy. Just the bathrooms need a little up dating. This place will be our stop to and from Florida for now on. I really enjoyed my stay.

My husband and I stay here when we come for a visit with my family. We love it, everyone at Roadway Inn is extremely nice from the owner to the maid. The rooms are clean, it's quite, peaceful and the pond behind the hotel is nice there are duck's that love to eat your scrap's or bread if you have some. My husband and I don't stay anywhere else when we're visiting Sweetwater, TN.

There was +10 years worth of dust under the furniture here. The bathroom cieling had a giant black mold spot on it. The rooms smell like they've been dowsed with bleach and ammonia. The rest is disgusting.

Owner was rude and didn't say when I booked it, there was a $30 cash deposit for the room. Even though you pay for it. Then, they inspect the room before you get it back. Very rudely operated business. Never go back.

Nice for a good night's sleep. Entire place is dated and needs a thorough deep cleaning. Not bad but needs some attention.

Nice friendly customer service. Nice rooms, nothing fancy but comfortable. Which is what I prefer. Could use more channels on the TV and faster Wi-Fi. Other than that it was great.

Very nice stay. Staff was very friendly! Recommend a Mexican Restaurant and food was great and plenty of it! I would definitely stay again!

Nice, Clean, & Comfortable. I enjoy the stay each time. I've never felt unwelcome at all. The other hotels in Sweetwater are not anywhere near this clean & cozy. Best hotel in town…

For price was expecting be nicer. Service was excellent. Clean room just signs of run down.

The place was clean and the staff was great. However, the place is old and worn, they need to update. But the worst part was they do have roaches.

Well worn motel but with excellent service, friendly staff, clean breakfast bar, good hot shower at an excellent price. Two miles from the freeway but worth the drive for a good value.

4 This place is alot cleaner than the one we stayed at in Lima, Ohio. Very Friendly Desk Attendant. Service With A Smile Is The. Great Job! God Bless.

We came from Florida to Sweetwater to evacuate from Irma and the staff here have been wonderful! We ended up staying 4 nights and the room was cozy with a fridge, microwave and Wi-Fi-all the comforts of home! They are also pet friendly, and a lot of people brought their cats and dogs (we had a cat). Good water pressure in the shower, clean rooms, ac/heater works great-we would come back again for a vacation.

If you are ever in Sweetwater Tennessee this is a nice place to stay friendly owners we were there during this past hurricane and they were allowing all size dogs and cats because most of the other motels were not being a pet friendly establishment.

Its a ok place it has nice beds but box TVs. Store across the road and a domino's. So all an all isn't a bad place.

Disclaimer: the stay occurred during the solar eclipse. The only time left due to the event we smoking rooms. They did not appear to have been cleaned for several weeks. Open, used soap was left in the shower. TV did not work. TV was a tube type set. Sheets and comforters had burn holes. Staff was pleasant and helpful, but the way only so much they could do.

We were visiting family and touring Smoky Mountains region along with our 2 kids and 2 seniors. We had great time and our stay was made comfortable by the family who owns the hotel. We stayed for 5 nights. Loved the room with the view of the pond. Located close to I75. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed and rooms. Picnic area along the pond with benches. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. overall great place to stay and would definitely come back again.

Hotel is much nicer than it looks from the outside. Beds were comfortable, ac was cold, room was clean. It had a balcony on one side. Continental breakfast didn't have a lot of choices. Staff was helpful. This hotel was better than 2 other hotels on our trip that cost more.

This place is amazing for bikers! Came in late and room was cheap and clean. Front desk guys were super nice and helpful. Nice pond out back for groups to gather at night. Came out to a towel on the bike in the morning for cleaning. Never have seen that before. Service is everything.

We stayed two nights. The rooms were nicer and had all the emenities we needed already provided. Great room for a really reasonable price. We would stay again when in town. We would recommend your motel to others.

Wow. Clean, well maintained decent Wi-Fi. Cheerful, friendly staff. Only stayed the night but this place is on my radar for when I pass that way. Rodeway has risen on the list of places for me to stop.

The location was very convenient to the function we attended in Madisonville, it is pet friendly, and inexpensive. The front desk clerk was very helpful in getting us checked in quickly as we running late for the event and still had to change clothes. The room had a strong perfumed odor but not completely unpleasant. When returning that night my wife noticed the toilet seat cover was still dirty from a previous guest. The bathroom was old and worn, the toilet weirdly angled, pink tile, a barely adequate shower curtain, and water stained dropped-ceiling tiles. The bed was only so-so comfortable. One of the headboard lights was not working. This room had an adjoining room door that was not very soundproof as we could here the guest in the next room conversing with some friends. Fortunately it didn't last long. In the morning the sound of water from other rooms was very loud. Good thing we were already awake. The perfumed odor had deminished and there was a very bad smell from a section of the carpet.

Room was OK. Bath was dirty. Walls were thin, got lots of neighbor noise including the showers. Room had indistinguishable aroma. Breakfast was pitiful. But they were pet friendly.

BIKERS STAY HERE! Hotel is clean and well maintained. Desk reception guy was super helpful and even called the room after I went upstairs to check I was happy. Room was large and light with fridge and microwave. However the best bit, for me, was how biker friendly the hotel is. They asked me to park in a specific area so they can see my bike from their office. They have complimentary rags to wash your bike down with They know so about the Tail of the Dragon with a map on the wall in reception. If you ride, stay here. They take care of you.

Great bargain place to stay especially if you are traveling with a pet. Enjoyed the picnic area near the duck pond in the back. Easy access to downtown and the staff was very accommodating.

Staff was very helpful and courteous. Rates were great. The room was a little outdated, but clean and nice.

Very clean quite and just overall awesome… Staff very helpful and friendly… Location is great close to shopping and places to eat… Plenty of semi truck parking…
