Stayed here for 3 nights while in town for work. All of the staff members I encountered were very friendly, and the hotel was right for the price. Room was large and cleaned to expectations; breakfast was acceptable (thank you for offering Greek yogurt). The cookies are a nice touch!

Reserved two kings for family of 4 when I arrived after 14 hours driving with my family they had us in a single king. They did move us to a two king room on the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor had no A/C in hallway. Room was cool but all of us had sore throats in the morning. Something is wrong with air quality in building.

Nice service but the room was obviously damaged by water and it really stanck of course of old water damage. We stayed on the bottom floor. The staff where awesome though. The shower was nice.

My family stayed here for a Star Talent dance competition. A large group of people were in the parking lot for a few hours outside our room, and at midnight we had had enough after my wife had been woken up over a dozen times from the noise and music blaring from the cars (we needed to be up at 5am). I called the front desk and the clerk was uninterested and rude, responding with a gruff “ok gotcha” and hanging up without an apology or goodbye. Nothing was done by hotel staff and we were kept awake until almost 3am! Walls are beyond paper thin! When the noise level was mentioned at checkout, we received a “yup, they came in noisy here too” reply from the staff. We will most definitely not be returning to this hotel when we return to the area for another competition next month. Such poor customer service and paper thin walls, do not stay here!

This is one of the nicer Holiday Inn Expresses that I've stayed in. The staff was tremendous and very personable. The facility was clean and even though this is an older building, you can really see the hard work that they put into this place. When you walk in the building, you are greeted by some inspirational "Thoughts of the day" to take with you which I thought was an extremely personal touch. I would stay here again without hesitation and even if this location was a bit out of the way, I would probably still stay there because great customer service is hard to find!

Excellent hotel. Great staff in every area of service. This is a special hotel that goes out of the way to make guests feel important and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!

Honestly one of the better holiday inns I've stayed at, especially in SC. Very nice staff. Shame there is no recycling with all the single use plastic they use, and the food is obviously from a freezer and microwaved. Standard for American hotels unfortunately. A good kitchen would be better.

Let's just say I highly dislike the manager of this hotel, Cynthia. There was an issue and I spoke with her about it in a mature manner, asking her to understand we made a simple human mistake as all humans do. She accused me of lying and She did NOT handle the situation like a decent, compassionate human being. She is on her high horse and I feel sorry for those who work with her. For this reason I will never recommend this hotel or stay here again. I suggest you don't either. There is nothing special about this hotel and there are better choices.

Could have been cleaner. Dresser was broken. Very large TV which was awesome! I brought my PS4 and thr network kept up with an online game. Very surprising. Didn't tell you when Wi-Fi password was changed which got annoying.

Not fancy, but clean and safe. Staff was wonderful. Free breakfast was good. They had signs saying they just upgraded to new beds, they were very comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel when my son had a soccer tournament in Lexington. After checking my bank account 2 days after check out I found that I was charged for my room twice even though we only stayed one night. I called the hotel and explained to them what happened and was assured that it would be corrected. They next day I looked. Still no corrections made. I am still fighting with them about this money and every time I call I am assured that someone will get back to me and guess what… NO ONE does. Even corporate was unwilling to do anything when I called them. I won’t be staying at another hotel in this chain and would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!

Pretty decent hotel, internet is ok and rooms are clean. A lot to eat in the area but there's a lot of traffic. One thing I noticed is the high efficiency water setup sucks and the toilet wobbles. Would definitely suggest this place. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Was there for the eclipse. The pool is nice and the breakfast and all day coffee were a bonus. The staff were really personable. Decent area, waffle house and there's a good local pizza place for food. Would recommend.

Rooms were nicely recently remodelled and very comfortable (news beds, too). Lobby felt old and wasn't in great condition. Faint smell of old cigarette smoke throughout the lobby area. Not the best Holiday Inn Express, but pretty well within expectations.

Sales tax I understand… Accommodation tax!?!? Tourism tax!?!? The building/accommodation itself is fine. Their policies are getting hyper bureaucratic like the rest of the United States. When you call to book you give your credit card number and receive a confirmation number. When you arrive they say your room is not booked it's only reserved!?!? The gentleman was very nice as long as he was right, and he insisted on being very right. I'm assuming the pressure is coming down from headquarters and their employees are caught in the middle between them and their customers.

Great. Friendly service with a can do attitude. Lobby is gorgeous. Breakfast is always good. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. The view? Its a hotel so there aint much of one. Outside pool. Overall very nice.

Great location off the main drag of Lexington, and near the interstate. Very quiet, and room was clean. Front desk is very friendly as well. I would recommend and stay here again.

I was greeted as a spire elite member which is also something I listen for. My host remembered me from my last stay there. She was very warm and welcoming after what was a very long travel day. The property is located right off of Hwy 378 behind Starbucks, which is very convenient because you can walk there. The hotel also has a deal in place with Muv Fitness down the road. This is a great amenity for a property to offer. Can someone say Steam Room? Over all you will get what you have come to expect from budget hotel chain. Great value for an even better price.

AC was broke in our room. Saw a bug crawl accross the floor in the lobby and the employee awkwardly crushed it (classy). A piece of the floor came up in the room (see photo). A hole in the wall (see photo). I asked a housekeeper if she had any towels and she said no then I asked where I could find some and she said Sorry (what?! … Maybe a language barrier) Like they say, if one person is writing it, there's 10 others thinking it. Do not stay here.

The facilities could use a remodel in the worst way. However, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is your standard Holiday Inn Express selection. The showers are always hot and they have updated shower heads. The rooms are always clean and tidy, but the decor is clearly dated and the mattresses have almost exceeded their life expectancy.

Management is sub par. Ms. Cynthia the gm was very indignant and she was very harrassing on my job there. I could not even work in peace without her badgering me. No one else receives the treatment but me. I was the only one cleaning the rooms properly so most of the rooms are not clean at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel. Good value. Stayed here overnight on the way home from spring break and was pleasantly surprised. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was good. The only advice I would have is to bring a set of earplugs since the room was a little nosy at night. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Room felt old for a Holiday Inn Express, like ours had been through a renovation that wasn't done too well. Outdoor pool looked very nice, but was closed for the winter.

This hotel looks for any reason to charge you and they are not worth the money I spent on them. They are accusing me of "stealing towels" LMAO. Then they accused me of smoking and the crazy thing is me and my boyfriend clearly went outside to smoke every time we even lit a cigarette. We even argued about it. So if you all are smokers and the scent is still on your clothes please do not enter this hotel. The manager wasn't even professional about the problem. She did have a attitude and is trying to force me to pay the fees. BEYOND CRAZY, when I called her back and mentioned my name, she surprisingly didn't know who I was. OMG this place do not deserve to be in business. I spent 208 dollars on a hotel, but I have to steal towels!

We booked this hotel through Priceline and their site said it was a 2 and a half star. This should be a 1 star! It felt like a dirty Motel 6! The rooms were dirty and looked like they had poop on the walls. There was hair stuck to everything! Someones coffee was left in the microwave. There was a razor blade stuck to the side of the wall and Thank God I found it before my 1 year old did! The toilet over flowed and flooded the bathroom and I had to clean it up. The halls were dirty. Etc etc etc etc.

I got really bad bed bugs and then the manager was not honest with me about getting pest control into the room. They put others in that same room the next day. I feel sorry for others because my kids even got them. I still have them and they have not done anything about it. It makes me not want to stay at any Holiday inn the way it was not taken care of.

Not bad. Not great. Free breakfast but the bread and fruit is always old and a little stiff. Hot food is usually just warm and seems to be dried out, even if you are the first there. Rooms are typical size but are good for what they are for. The showers continuously hold water and you end up standing in water that covers your feet. They do give out free toothbrushes and toothpaste etc which is pretty nice if you forget yours. Service folks are friendly and it's not a bad stay overall.
