Stayed here while moving our DD in this spring at UofSC. The hotel and rooms are so cute. The staff is definitely super friendly and helpful. We drove in a few hours early and they do sweetly accommodated us (had no where to put our stuff to run errands). Highly recommend. We will always be staying here over the next 4 years. Thanks for easing a stressful time.

The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are unique. The public spaces are all decorated in unique and colorful ways. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Lots of areas to hang out and just enjoy the hotel.

The main lobby smelled like Willy Wonka’s Factory. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We loved the bed and the pillows too! Great place!

Hello! I was very excited to stay at the Graduate Hotel as I love their aesthetics and they are so clever! Jackie was so awesome and helpful! I was accidentally booked twice through hotelstonight. Com and it was quite the conundrum since they are a 3rd party vendor and charge you right away and do not issue refunds. She helped call and talked to them on the phone to figure out the best possible solution! She was calm, cool and collected and oh so kind/sweet! In the morning she had left a little goodie bag for us on the door! Made our day! :) will definitely be coming back and highly recommend! Really appreciate the great customer server! Thanks again to Jackie!

Hotel was understaffed since being under new management. The breakfast was horrible — food was generally undercooked or seriously watered down. They had no milk sometimes. Rooms were not vacuumed — I was there for a month. Sheets were rarely changed, and only if you lucked out and had your do not disturb sign taken down on days that were designated “sheet changing days” — dates that they did not tell you. From what I understand it was a great place to stay when it was a Wyndham but definitely do NOT recommend this place now.

Great place to stay. Pricing wasn’t bad and the location is decent. The only problem I have is that you pay to park there. The room was clean and nice overall worth the money for a one or two night stay.

Great location for USC visits. Excellent facility and fairly priced. But if you park at the hotel, $10 parking fee. They do have a bar in the lobby Monday through Saturday in the evenings with good prices. Comfortable lounge area. Use the complementary shuttle to get around town. Adequate gym (no pool). When the parking space sign says bird nesting above, park elsewhere.

We stayed here on our wedding night and it was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. We walked in in our wedding clothes and they greeted us with smiles and a complimentary bottle of wine. The rooms were very stately and clean. We added the honeymoon package to our stay and for $50 we were given a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, late check-out, rose petals in the room/bed, and breakfast delivery. Everything was set up and beautiful when we got there. It was a fantastic place to end such a wonderful day.

We've stayed here a few times, always have enjoyed the stay. Good people, great location, very decent rates. Within walking distance of pretty-much everything on campus except perhaps Greek Village and The Colonial Center and the Moore School. Really like what they did with the remodel. Super job.

During a road trip back from Disney with my son and his dad, we needed a place to stop for the night. The Inn was the perfect spot. Beautiful and everyone was very helpful and welcoming. In the morning we expected just a bagel/muffin and coffee but were met with a much more delicious spread, even making omelettes on demand. Will definitely stay here again if weare ever in the area and have already mentioned our stay to friends. ♡

The hotel is gorgeous! It is comfortable and well appointed. The staff was warm, friendly and very competent. The breakfast was amazing. We will be back.

The rooms are the Inn at USC Wyndham Garden are cozy and clean. The Inn is conveniently located right across from the University of South Carolina campus and a couple of blocks from the Statehouse and other important government buildings. Downtown restaurants are also a few blocks away. They also include free shuttle service for anything not walking distance. The breakfast is excellent. The Inn is definitely worth the a stay.

The Wyndham is a charming, historical hotel with a modern feel. The amenities are good and the staff are very friendly. It's walking distance to campus, restaurants, shopping, and there's a shuttle that takes guests as well.

Had a great location for those who are going to visit the campus. Was a shirt drive from a lot of great restaurants. The room was fantastic with a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and had an omelette bar.

Made reservations 3 months ago online for admitted. Students day on 3/24/18. Traveled from NY thru a snow storm, arrive at USC Wyndham at 6pm to check in with my confirmation in Hand and am told they overbooked no room for us! I had verbally confirmed my reservation 2 weeks prior.
I was told there was a computer glitch in there system and it happened to about 30 other guests. I wanted to know why I was bumped when I:
1. Made my reservation months ago
2. Had confirmation in Hand
3. Was a frequent flyer at this hotel having a sophomore and new prospective freshman
4. Was not notified that I had no reservation any longer because of “glitch” and was told they did not have my telephone #, part of “glitch”.
5. Why are they bumping me? When I am standing In Front of you? Why not bump the people showing up after me?
I was told the GM decided who had to be bumped, yet the GM was not there to handle this major screw up. The supervisor was mysteriously MIA as well. Neither the supervisor or the GM ever called me back either.
One of the busiest days of the year and there are no hotels in area. They send me 9 miles away to a hotel that was so bad we left after checking in.

This is a magical place. The Inn is a step back in time. The historic integrity has been preserved wonderfully. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming. Breakfast was great. This is a wonderful place to spend the weekend and tour Columbia, SC. A treasure in our state. And end your trip at Top of Carolina dining. Icing on this cake!

Staff at the front desk was very helpful with food recommendations, the rooms were very tidy and cozy, the hotel shuttle made it convenient to get across town, and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Definitely a great place to stay.

It was fine. No pool which sucked. Charging $10 for parking at a nice hotel lime that is beyond stupid. Breakfast was good tho.

Checked inn on Dec. 8 and room was at 60 degrees. Turned heat on and went out to dinner returned 2 hrs. Later and temp. Still at 60 degrees. Went to front desk and was told that they didn't have a technician and we could wait until van driver returned and he could check. They tried to move us to the room next door which had a sign in the key slot That stated wet carpet. We were finally moved to room 304 and we were given a 10% discount on the first night. That Is really no compensation for the inconvenience. Unpack all luggage and then have to pack again to move to a different room.

Staff was great and so helpful. One of the better nights sleep I’ve ever had away from home. We got there very early on the day of our reservation and just stopped to ask if it was possible to get in early and drop off our stuff. They were happy to accommodate us and it made our stay so much more enjoyable. The breakfast was very good and once again the staff went out of their way to make it a great experience.

The room was not clean. We found hair on the ground. Then we went to the tub to find mold where the tub meets the wall of the bath. For 150 dollars a night I would not recommend. Go somewhere with a clean floor and bath. Save your money.

The meeting rooms are very nice. Non alcoholic drinks and cookies were supplied. The room was all set up for us. It is a nice hotel with adequate parking. The staff are friendly.

The areas is very pretty, the inside is very neat and we'll kept. Venue itself was a conference hall/room that was nice. The food served was tasty and fresh and constantly replenished. Also a very good location in downtown Columbia.

We had two rooms with two queen beds each. The rooms did not have a lot of room being we were traveling with children. It would be ok if you don't plan to spend a ton of time in the room, but we were last-minute evacuees from hurricane Irma so there was a probability we were going to spend a lot of time inside. One thing I absolutely loved about here is the breakfast. It was a comforting, hot breakfast that we all enjoyed and it was one meal a day we did not have to worry about. They also have a very lovely courtyard with chairs and tables. We spent some time there just enjoying being outside as the kids played. There is also a little study where I spent some time cuddled with a book when I needed to be away from the room. The bathroom could be updated. The staff is very friendly. Overall, a comfortable stay. Thank you for your hospitality!

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The stay was incredible and made sure we were happy and taken care of. The shuttle service even took us to the main Street area and picked us up after dinner for free. Will be returning.

Large, well furnished rooms. Very comfortable beds. Clean smelling without being scented of cleaners. The pillows are packed to look smaller. If you fluff them they are regular size. Front desk staff very quick and easy to work with. Guests need to use the back entrance/exit of the parking garage and grab a guest parking pass. Would definitely return if in the area.

I just stayed in the presidential suite and celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary with my wife. I also got the romance package added to the room, everything was perfect except the television in the room didn't work, and while they were aware of us only staying a night they didn't check that prior to our arrival. I was also told the room had a jacuzzi when in fact it was a large garden tub. We were offered to switch suites but it was late and honestly it would have been a downgrade so we stayed in our room. In spite of all that, our room was fantastic, the breakfast in bed was fantastic and this morning the manager apologized and took the romance package off my bill so they tried to remedy the situation as best as possible, bottom line, even with all the bumps, I am still glad I choose the Inn at USC to spend my anniversary with my wife, what a beautiful room.

Very good hotel to stay if you are visiting USC. Free Wi-Fi, very nice breakfast, and just located inside the USC campus. Can't be any better than this.

Use to be affordable, last stay the cost was almost double the normal rate I've paid, and they added a 10 per day parking fee on top of that. Can't understand why, it wasn't packed… Well maybe the new rates are why.

The inn was lovely. There are several amenities to enjoy while staying here. It is conveniently located for attending various events on USC campus.

Fantastic. Lovely inn built around preserved historic home. Abuts USC. Best service we've ever had in a hotel, from front desk staff to snacks and cash bar in lobby, to prompt local shuttle service, to free full breakfast for which the chef got lactose-free milk for our daughter.

Great price and great location on the USC campus. Easy to walk to Five Points or Vista.

As been a very good stay so far. Love the fact they have a manager's reception and cooked to order breakfast in the morning.

We had a brief stay but enjoyed it very much. The location was fairly close to downtown (a short drive but would have been a long walk). The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Location is great, breakfast is fantastic, and staff was very helpful. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within 3 miles and pick you up in the same radius. Stay here!

We made a confirmed reservation on Priceline. Arrived at the hotel after a 2 hour drive and were told at the desk by Allison, that we did not have a room and they were sold out. She made no attempt to help us and would not explain why our reservation was not being honored. I got a rep. From priceline on the phone and Allsion rolled her eyes and would not speak with him to solve the problem. Ended up staying at the Hyatt, brand new hotel on the Vista, great room and service. I am a USC grad and you treated us very poorly, shame on you and I will not be coming back to your hotel.

My experience was horrible. First and foremost I'm Carolina Alumni. I was very displease with room. When I pulled my bed back about 2AM, I found a black sock in my bed. When I took a shower the next moring, the hair dryer had two inches of dust on it. I was staying there to attend a conference at USC. So, I called back and left a message the next day about my issues. Not requesting any refunds just making them aware of poor service. That call was given on 5/1/15. As of today, I have not heard from anyone. I got my credit card statement on 5/1815 and was charged twice by the hotel. I just placed a call to them. I was told by some Assistant Manager that I was on his list to call, he had been out sick for a few weeks. I have been charged for a hole in the wall. No one ccalle dto make me aware of this charge they just applied to my credit card, another example of poor customer service. I was told that the excutive housekeeper inspected the room before I arrived and no hole was in the wall, How did she miss all the dust in the bathroom! I refused to get jerked around by my own school. To future guest, get hotel staff to do a walk through with you before you enter the room.

At check-in, I was informed that since I was paying cash, I had to pay an additional $200 deposit in cash and that this cash would not be returned to me. I would receive a check when I checked-out. I was not informed of this policy when I booked the hotel and the policy makes no sense! I did not keep my reservation.

Stayed the night of Mar 9th in room 247 (Presidential Suite) and found a ROACH in the bathroom. I checked out upon seeing that and informed the desk clerk thats why I was checking out early. I was offered another room but declined his offer. As the saying goes "For every roach you see. Theres a thousand that you don't". I can't believe that I had the NICEST room type in the hotel and paid $257.56 and it had roaches. I definitely wasn't going to another room and the thought of eating there was disgusting. I wont be back.

The majority of people reviewing this can hardly write a coherent sentence, let alone an objective review. First: of course the hotel is going to jack up its prices during major events. Every hotel does this. The Econo Lodge might only increase its prices from $50 to $60, sure, but you get what you pay for. It's a clean hotel with friendly staff, southern hospitality, and an amazing location. If you choose to stay here, you will likely not be disappointed.
