I had a great stay at this hotel and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant. The general manager, Anne, was very accommodating to our small group and we greatly appreciate her hospitality.

I literally had to pay almost 30$ a day to park at this hotel. Also they don’t tell you that King Street is just like spring break with hundreds of teens partying like crazy all night. Never again.

Nice place to stay in Charleston. Staff was friendly. Could use a little more variety with breakfast. But, otherwise, great visit.

This hotel isn’t offering some services, like daily housekeeping, even though I received my standard email in advance asking if I wanted daily housekeeping or not. I said yes and found out after I arrived that it isn’t daily. If I had known in advance I would have stayed somewhere cheaper where I could have a clean property. Other Hyatt’s don’t have this issue. I just spent a week at another property in June, and 9 days at one the last week/first part of May/June. They should tell you this in advance.

My wife and I stayed here Memorial Day weekend. We payed $350 per night for 3 nights. Our room was not a $350 per night room! Mold around shower door, dirty vents, blood stain on sofa, walls had various damage, and we had no maid service our entire stay.

The water was not near hot enough for showers. Breakfast was horrible. Rooms were nice and clean. Parking garage next door was nice to have.

Rooms and service were not worth the price.

Excellent in all attentions.

The worst experience ever! I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Besides the way we were treated, and LIED TO, our shower was covered in mold and mildew! DO not stay here

the room was filthy black mold and mildew around the entire perimeter of the shower. The valet parking is an absolute joke PLEASE take my advice pay to park in the garage after asking for valet 5 times I was told my car was fine only to find it towed and costing me $211 to get it back the next morning. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL pay more and stay at a boutique hotel its worth the extra you will pay it one way or the other if you stay here.

We just checked in for a 2 night stay, our costs were to be $350+change. We got to our room & noticed we’d been charged $627+change. We travel regularly, we understand hotel policies, when the front desk says “they don’t see the charges they placed on our card” (they double charged 2 CCs the same amounts, glad Capital One noticed a discrepancy & denied 1 of their 4 charges) we’re concerned. No one answered at the corporate #. We wouldn’t recommend Hyatt House @ this point, we’ll have to see what a manager can say tomorrow. Very disappointed.
** update** manager did not care to make changes or correct error. No one answered when I called corporate # & waited on hold for over 10 minutes. We are here for my job, I take care of patients for a living, there’s not time or energy to argue with a hotel running their business wrong. We will spread the word to all of our medical field associates to not stay at Hyatt House Charleston, such a disappointment.

I left my brand new expensive shoes in the hotel. Called within hours when I noticed and they lied about them not being in there. I KNOW they were left in the closet and then house keeping not returning my calls? We travel a lot and never had a hotel do this to us! What’s the point of lost and found?

Called twice to check for valet, ask about early check-in; made clear we were first time visitors and wanted high floor with a view for our one night. Receptionists can only be viewed as terse. Very disappointed to be looking at highways after paying extra premium.

Actually front desk had attitude and was not really @hyatt friendly. Y'all know me im a loyal hyatt person for 28 years, and never once said anything negative about the Hyatt Brand. Brand is important. But id have to say, other than the one who checked me in, my front desk experience was not friendly, and certainly not hyatt member friendly. There is a bit of an attitude which is very non hyatt. Perhaps this one time event @hyattplacecharleston was an anomaly.

Dirty. Floor in kitchen was ripping up. Just not a good visit. Clean things up! Dirty Dirty Dirty all over the hotel. j.

It's my favorite place for breakfast in the city of Charleston SC.

Amazing location. Nice rooms. Parking is not included and is $18 a night plus any coming and going.

Clean rooms. Breakfast buffet is included with room charge. There is a parking lot for a fee available for all guests and the public. There is an excellent rooftop bar as well with a nice view of the citt.

Hotel is fine but no parking. Need to use city garage for $18 with no in & out privileges… or $1 per half hour… Also the hotel charges up front $50 for damages when you check in, refundable 48-72 hours.

Location was in historic district near tons of shopping and restaurant options. Room is spacious suite with full kitchen, large TV that swivels 360° between family room and bedroom, motorized window shades, and bathroom with large counter. Offered plethora of services.

It's been great here and our suite is a perfect size. The AC went out due to a storm but it was fixed promtly. After that however we had a strange smell in our room that came through the vent. When we talked to the front desk maintenance and housekeeping came immediately. Great service!

Nice location. It's in walking distance to many places in the downtown area. We were able to use the free shuttle to take us to the market place. We stayed in room 223. Room was nice. We had a small ant problem in the bathroom. We let the staff know and they sent someone in to spray and seal the hole the ants were coming through. The staff was friendly. We will stay again.

Nice room with door between living/dining area and bedroom. Would have been good if someone could have helped us with our luggage when we arrived.

Had a great stay at this Hyatt! Friendly staff and clean room! Only issue is that parking isn't free and the breakfast was Meh but those are the least of my concerns.

Just expect to wait a bit (usually a signing demand for them). They do give you a table number and bring it to you. This allows you to enjoy the rest of your breakfast or morning coffee.

Nice stay! Desk staff very helpful and gave tips about good eateries in the area. Breakfast food was awesome! One particular young lady greeted us every morning of our stay with a smile and a warm greeting! She removed our breakfast plates with care and enthusiasm!

Had an amazing experience at the Hyatt House. The Valet parking is easy and the best way to go. The garage here has 8 feet of clearance for anyone with racks on your vehicle.
The night crew at the desk is awesome. Jordan, Brittany and Laina will take care of you after a long day out. We appreciate everything they did to make our stay worth coming again!

My stay at this hotel was pretty pleasant for the most part. The pool was nice, and the staff were quite friendly. The only issue I had was that the AC seemed to be on the fritz in my room, so the night I spent was uncomfortably warm. My friends' room was chilly as an ice box, so it seems I just got unlucky. We informed the hotel of the problem so I'm sure it will be fixed for the next guest.

Very Good Overall Experience. Friendly and Professional Service, great amenities. Good daily breakfast, could be organized a little better and remain open til 10:00am. Buffet plates at the end of the buffet line rather than beginning. Buffet ends at 9:30, but majority food gone a little after 9:00. Management should reinerate for parents with small children, not run around unaccompanied.

Very clean rooms. The hallways aren't perfect there are some places where luggage has left dings in the wall; but still a nice hotel I may just be being nitpicky about that! We checked in with 5 people but they still only gave us three towels when they cleaned our room. We had a room with a view of the beautiful harbor and bridge on the 8th floor (there are 9 floors). It was very close to the market only a (5 minute drive). We were able to watch fireworks from our room in the harbor on the 4th of July which was awesome! Parking isn't free ($18/24 hours). Breakfast was really good compared to other places I have stayed. I recommend eating breakfast at 7:30 before the rush ;). They made my nephew chocolate milk for free a few times at the bistro downstairs. Customer service is nice and helpful and room service brought extra towels quickly when I asked for more.

Hyatt has always treated me really well, and I'm glad to be a Hyatt cardholder… I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt in Charleston and was thankful that they allowed us to have such a late check-out (3pm is unheard of practically anywhere else) so that we were able to avoid the awkward period of time between checking out of a hotel and checking in somewhere else with luggage and all of that mess. They were very accommodating. Aside from that, the furnishings in the room w…ere all pretty top notch and the hotel itself was great… Best hotel breakfast I've had in a while, actually. Thanks for doing things right, Hyatt!

Excellent facility. A little difficult to find though and parking was a bit tricky. Very nice breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet location.

Beautiful hotel. I only gave them 4 stars because when I checked in their computer system was down for hours. Granted it wasn't their fault, they should have given me a discount. I had been driving from NJ and all I wanted to do was take a shower and sleep. I had to sleep in my car and in the lobby.

My sister and I spent the weekend in Charleston (June 2018). Found The Hyatt to be a great place to stay. Great location, friendly accommodating staff, nice breakfast and a clean room. Would recommend and return there for future trips.

We stayed in Feb 2018 on presidents day weekend. This hotel was clean, convenient, and so close to everything I needed. The room was great and spacious. The pool was great! Loved it! And when I had a minor booking issue the manager was immediately accommodating. Only positives! I would so stay here with my husband and 2 kids again.

The place is nice and it's in downtown, close to everything. The night life around it is simply AMAZING! The hotel is very clean and the customer service absolutely incredible! The rooms are big and spacious. I would say they are decorated in a very minimalist style but super comfortable. The breakfast is excellent.

Great hotel. Rooms are super (comfy bed, nice bathroom, good view). Nice pool and gym, good bfast room and bar area. Best part may be the crew that works there. Just fantastic.

Tucked away just off King Street. It's located very close to shops and restaurants. Parking is NOT free. Rooms were nicely appointed. Newly renovated. I would definitely stay here again.

I was only there to visit some friends. Hotel is located in downtown great location. Very clean and very nice employee's. I would definitely stay here in are next trip to Charleston.

The workers were all very friendly. The hotel was in good shape and the room was nice. The bathroom was clean but the shower was a bit disgusting. It was a fully tiled shower (floor and walls). The grout in the floor tile was white around the edges and brownish in the center. The floor was not sloped properly and because of this water pooled in the one corner about half an inch deep.

Fantastic hotel and great amenities! This is one of the best places to stay in Charleston and comes at a great rate. It is conveniently located from the College of Charleston and the Historic District. The walk can seem a little far, but you never really spend any time here. The bonus is the calorie burn. If you're looking for night life, this a great section of the city to stay in as many little shops and bars are located close-by.

This place is highly recommended. Full service breakfast vs the regular continental style. Spacious suites. Clean lobby. The only thing we didn't know about was the $30 per day valet charge BUT it was worth it. The guys were awesome; quick to pull our car around each time. Will definitely visit here again.

Nice and modern. Rooms are spacious. Hot water didn't work well in the shower, but sink's hot water was fine. Includes a decent hot breakfast.

Currently staying here and it has been one disappointment after the next. When I called to book this hotel instead of using a computer (to ensure the hotel could accommodate our needs) we were assured the hotel had room service. Upon arrival at 8pm, expecting to be able to order room service, and studying the online menu attached to their website, we attempt to order said room service. We were told we could order food but we would have to come pick it up in the lobby. After driving 11 hours today with 4 small kids age 7 and under, this was a nuisance, but not the end of the world. I went to the lobby, returned to our room to unpackage what looked like fast food to find the bun on the cheeseburger so hard that it could not be broken, the bacon so brittle it shattered and no vegetables, not to mention it was cold. The chicken Caesar we ordered had brown lettuce but we didn’t notice this until after our first complaint, at that point we were just over it. The staff offered to take the burger off the bill so we decided to order Korean street tacos (one of the other 4 options available). I took a picture that I would be happy to share of the pulled pork in a tortilla that arrived with some shredded cheese on top. Comparing that with the photo on the menu that included vegetables (red onion, cilantro, lettuce). It was pulled pork with sweet, store bought barbecue sauce and cheese in a tortilla.

I booked a two night stay here for my husband after I left to come back to New York on Christmas day because we couldn't extend our Airbnb. He said the stay was fine until his checkout day when housekeeping started knocking on the door at 7:30AM. Checkout time is at noon. He said he didn't have a do not disturb tag for the door in the room, which he didn't realize until housekeeping was beating down the door while we was asleep at 7:30AM. At this point, he could have gotten one, but I can't blame him for wanting to continue to sleep. It doesn't end here. They came back THREE more times knocking on the door and hassling, essentially trying to boot him out of his room all morning *PRIOR TO CHECKOUT* so they could clean it. He said the third person that came by as dressed differently and appeared to be a manager of some sort. I called the Hyatt to figure out what this was all about and if it was common practice so I could be sure to never book a room there again. They said it absolutely wasn't common practice and said they would be as upset as I was had this happen to them; they said a manager would call me the next day, and gave me the names of both of their managers. You guessed it! No one called. If you like getting what you paid for and sleeping past 7:30AM a without having to confront a continuous human-reminder of your upcoming checkout time, perhaps this place isn't for you.

The rooms are comfortable, you can hear noise from the hallway so if you sensitive find somewhere else. Breakfast food was spoiled, both eggs and the cottage cheese on my first night so don't try the next days. Try The Daily for breakfast, great coffee and close enough to walk from the hotel.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious with lots of windows and a TV that rotates so you can watch television on the sofas or in bed. The daily breakfast has a variety of foods, including a made to order omelette bar. The employees were also very friendly.

5 star Close to historic Charleston. Solid hotel. Late check out time! Complimentary breakfast until 10. Not 10:10 unless you're friends with staff… saw numerous customers leaving with to-go boxes stuffed. Generously sized room, updated and clean. Recommended for this price point. Update: from 5 to 4 star Parking is NOT complementary. Wasn't metioned during check-in. Communication would have been nice. Lost a star…

The location of the hotel is towards the northern edge of the historic district just a few blocks from Interstate 26 entry and exit. Walking to the sights and the battery can easily be done from the hotel. Parking is available in the Midtown garage on the hotel sight. My room was in excellent shape and with mobile check in and checkout very convenient just having to retrieve my key from the very friendly front desk person on arrival.

We enjoyed our 1st year anniversary stay here. The hotel is very clean, and the staff was very awesome. They made our stay memorable. Like I said the staff was awesome but a Big THANK YOU to Mrs. Jane, Brittany and Jordan. Hope to see all of you on our next visit.

Huge issue with the air in the hotel. My entire travel group woke up with congestion issues. We have burning throats and and feel sick over the air quality. The hotel was nice but it was an old building that was rerenovated so they fixed the "look" but not the quality. Great location and beautiful hotel but truly concerning.

Little to no shower pressure! 20-25 min to take a (what should be 5min) shower. Delightful breakfast, warm staff, comfortable and well-appointed rooms but aggravation of a poor shower at the end of the day is unsatisfactory at any location. In all fairness, management dispatched a polite maintenance repairman within the hour. He stated in was in the lines, not the room plumbing. We feel management should fairly compensate any guests incurring this inconvenience.

We had a great stay here. The staff was excellent as was the room. This is a newer hotel so if you looking for a historic Charleston hotel this is not for you. It is approx 1 — 1.5 miles from most of the historic tourist places. There are free buses, carriages and cabs. We walked everywhere. We would stay again.

I love Charleston because of the warmth generated from the majority of the people who live here. The Hyatt Place Historic District is close to many key attractions all in walking distance. The Hyatt Place is great for groups and families. The daily breakfast is free and good. The Hyatt Place is not chandelier fancy. There are other places that provide that extra pizzaz but it is nice and welcoming.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. Staff, rooms, location all were great and made me want to stay more nights then I had planned.

This has been the best hotel stay I've experienced. All the comforts of home plus those of vacation. The rooms were extremely quiet, very spacious, & clean. The staff is polite, cheerful and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. The cleaning service was very thorough, even checking back several times because we were in the shower or sleeping when they originally stopped by. The room did cost a bit more than your average hotel room, but it was a lot more than your average hotel room, & was still way below the cost of many other lesser equipped hotels near by. I will definitely be staying here again!

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights last week for our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved it. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good and had different options each day, the entire hotel was very tidy and clean, and the view from our room was gorgeous. I would definitely stay here again. Almost everything we did in Charleston was within walking distance. The parking was not overly priced, and they have valet service 24/7. It was a great time. I'm very happy we chose this location for our honeymoon!

Great clean rooms, fully functional kitchen. A very comfortable environment to stay as a guest.

We have stayed at several Hyatt Place hotels in the last 3 years and have always been pleased with our stay. We chose this particular Hyatt because it was located downtown Charleston for a good price. While the hotel itself lived up to our expectation of Hyatt, the location was less desirable. It is located in a transitional area. We would likely stay there again but probably wouldn't walk to dinner in that area again.

Friendliness of staff depends on who's at the desk. Housekeeping could be better and the beds were way too hard. Room decor is very nice.

Hyatt Place was a new find for me as a frequent visitor to Charleston. The location is a bit far from the old downtown area but the free bus got us downtown for dinner and shopping and back to the hotel. There is a parking garage inside the courtyard of the hotel which was very convenient. You can also valet, if you want in and out privileges. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Breakfast was included. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a sold out weekend so paid higher prices. Rooms were nice but you could hear people walking down the corridor so doors need more sound proofing. At breakfast they ran out of forks so had to eat with a spoon. Some food items were out but quickly replaced. The location is further from the action so I would probably stay somewhere else next time. This one is closer to the bad part of town.

The bar upstairs, Pour, has one of the coolest publicly accessible views in Charleston. Really interesting perspective on upper King Street. Check it out!

Clean, modern hotel with well appointed rooms. Breakfast above average. Room access card stopped working and had to be reset. Similar problem for another guest so seems to be systemic. On the fringe of the historic district versus in the heart. Very good water pressure for shower. I found the beds to be too soft and gave me sore back but I prefer a stiffer mattress. Overall very good and would recommend.

What an awesome choice for our Girls Trip. Location was great, walking distance to everything on King Street. The staff was the best! Always friendly and courteous. I would definitely stay there again.

My family and I had a great experience at the Hyatt Place. The rooms were very spacious, clean and neat. The pool and exercise room were clean and stocked well with towels. The FREE trolley has a pickup in front on the hotel, and takes you around historic Charleston. There are hundreds of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again.

Was a beautiful place to stay. The price was worth it go ahead and pay for the valet parking. Most everything in historic Charleston is a walk away from this hotel. If not you can take a carriage ride or Uber or even a pedicab. The concierge the hotel can get you to and from just about anywhere. They know the places to go and people to see.

Spent a bonus night in Charleston during a fun bachelorette weekend on Sun May 21st. Our flight wasn't leaving until the following day in evening. The hospitality received was excellent. Our bags were kept secure even after checkout while we explored more of the city and food kept refrigerated. When we returned, were able to heat up our leftovers and sit in the dining area. Just superb customer service and stay at Hyatt Place on my travels whenever possible.

My husband and I took a vacation to Charleston this past weekend for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are imaculate, the beds were amazing, the views were wonderful, everything all around was great! The hotel is very well maintained, wonderful staff and very inviting. We had the pleasure of having valet parking every day that we stayed there. They even will bring it up for you if you just need to grab something out of the car. Everyone on staff was great, this hotel is beautiful and amazing I recommend to anyone that's going to stay in the area.

The location is great. Plenty to do within walking distance. Room was very clean and spacious. The fitness room was clean well stocked. Next time I'm in Charleston. I will be staying here.

Location: Great location for tourism, right on King St which has tons of restaurants and shops. Walkable distance to any part of historic Charleston. Rooms: Relatively spacious, quiet rooms. One of the features of the rooms is they are well built so you don't hear your neighbors at all. The bed is pretty comfortable. Nice large shower in the room, as well as a small kitchenette for cooking. The main downside of the room is you can't adjust the fan levels for the AC, it's either on blowing a tornado in the room, or off and 100 degrees. I hope you like fan white noise. Breakfast is included with the room and it's nothing really notable. They do have a "custom omlette station" which is not bad. Parking is not free, it's at least $16/day in the parking structure across the courtyard. Wi-Fi is free and is not hostile to a VPN or whatever privacy/security measures. However it is incredibly, borderline uselessly slow. If you need to stream something or have a video conference meeting, it's far too slow. Good place to stay in Charleston.

I've never had a worse experience. 1. I had a cold shower because there wasn't any hot water. 2. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich for lunch and they didn't heat the chicken. It took me until my second bite to realize it wasn't cooked. 3. The maid never made it to my room one of the 3 days… 4. I ordered dinner because I got caught up working on my computer. I mentioned that I would come down in 15-20 min and grab it… The lady was very adamant that they would CALL me. Well after 45 minute I went down and saw my food sitting on the counter with plastic wrap over it. The front desk lady tried to say "they just brought it out" but it was pizza and the cheese was getting hard. There are a lot of hotels in the area… I would skip this one. I used the reviews to select it but it seems never and the management/ systems are very poor.

Great hotel! We had a suite with 2 br. One king, 2 queens and a sofa bed. Plenty of space and functional little kitchen. Also excellent continental breakfast with made to order omelets!

OMG what a great hotel! Everything about this new hotel was fantastic! Our room was beautiful! The pool was very nice (no hot tub though). The free breakfast had the most delicious link sausage on it! It had almost everything that you would want. We had pancakes Saturday & French toast on Sunday! I really can't say anything bad about our stay! It is a new hotel with another new one going up across & behind them. This area is booming! Don't think of this part of town as bad now. We went to 2nd Sunday on Kings before we left. That's always an entertaining walk with all the different kinds of musicians playing on the street!

The French Quarter Inn is a wonderful hotel, nicely placed in a central location on the Charleston Peninsula. The hotel itself has great "bones", with broad hallways leading to the rooms and large rooms. The bathrooms have been updated. The staff, from the front desk to the chambermaids, deserves special mention; they are as friendly and accommodating as they can.

The Hyatt House is a really cool, brand new hotel in Charleston. It would have easily gotten 5 stars except that it's jammed in there pretty tight and parking can be a pain. But its convenient location and modern amenities makes up for it! As a Charleston wedding and event photographer, I always enjoy shooting receptions, corporate events, and conferences in new and interesting venues. Their meeting facility here is TOP NOTCH!

My father, a few other family members &I came to Charleston for the SEWE festival. Front desk was welcoming. Breakfast was also amazing. A variety of light breakfast items. Yolanda the breakfast attendant was beyond friendly and helpful. ONLY HUGE ISSUE we had was the management staff member Edward. He treated us like we were friends instead of guest. Being so I assume he felt comfortable enough to disrespect the black race in front of us. He actually had the nerve to laugh after making a racial remark. Unfortunately this hotel will not receive our money or any others we know business due to the racist management staff this company has representing them. OMG what a great hotel! Everything about this new hotel was fantastic! Our room was beautiful! The pool was very nice (no hot tub though). The free breakfast had the most delicious link sausage on it! It had almost everything that you would want. We had pancakes Saturday & French toast on Sunday! I really can't say anything bad about our stay! It is a new hotel with another new one going up across & behind them. This area is booming! Don't think of this part of town as bad now. We went to 2nd Sunday on Kings before we left. That's always an entertaining walk with all the different kinds of musicians playing on the street!

Amazing stay. Check in was a breeze, in and out. Same with Check out. The room was complete with a kitchenette and living area. Wish we stayed longer than a night! Staff was so friendly. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. A steal and little gem on King Street!

Awesome experience. The design, look, feel make it feel like an upscale apartment rather than a hotel. Fullamenities. Including a refrigerator, stove, kitchen. Remodeled for full upscale living. … Room service impeccable, very responsible.
Dail breakfast includes omelette, etc. Full gym, laundry takes $2 coins for washing and drying. Easy walk to all of the major pubs, restaurants, and shopping in downtown. Only downside is that parking is $16/day. And many travelers that their newspapers run out fast, so get them early and sometimes long lines due to their popularity. Very friendly concierge service, valet services. But 5*, A+ all the way. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed here for our anniversary. The staff were wonderful from the front desk to the staff helping out in the breakfast area every morning. Brenda stood out and would always come over to our table and chat for a few minutes. We were there for our anniversary and the staff dropped off a card and bottle of wine in our room. We will definitely be back. The hotel is within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

Very nice clean hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and polite. Megan especially was amazing. The only reason it's not a 5 is that there are only 2 elevators and one broke down. Meaning all guests only have one way of getting to there floors and the doors close extremely fast, that could be a safety issue in the future also.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast. The only downside is, too far from where we initially wanted to be, but Uber helped us out with that and also as soon as you step foot out of this beautiful hotel onto the side walk of Kings street you are literally attacked by aggressive homeless people that wont leave you alone. The hotel does not really offer a good view either. There is a TON of new construction going on around the hotel so we basically had a view of a dumpster and construction starts at 7am. No sleeping in here! We definitely learned our lesson and will not be staying here again.

The hotel was great. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a good breakfast in the morning. The only downside is that it was a 15-20 minute walk each day to get to the parts of town that we wanted to see, such as the marketplace.

Nice, new hotel located on King St. King St near the hotel has lots of restaurants and shops to explore. It's a little further from the Market area and other areas at the tip of the Charleston Peninsula. But there is a free bus route that can get you down there that has a stop right outside the hotel. The room we stayed in was very nice. The full size bed was comfortable and there was a small sectional with an Ottoman that was nice for lounging and watching TV while in between outings. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. The hotel also included a complimentary breakfast that had some variety.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Great location. Rented bicycles across the street and enjoyed taking in the town. The room was extremely comfortable. Modern and attractive! I highly recommend.

Great, clean hotel. Recommend high floors with odd room numbers. It is really at the edge of the historic district if walking is a problem. The breakfast wasn't bad, just wasn't that good.

We enjoyed our stay at the Charleston Hyatt House. The room was very clean and spacious. All of the employees were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located near the end of King Street where they are doing a lot of construction to improve the area. This hotel is in walking distance to the waterfront as well.

Super sketchy, they had the same girl working for like 2 whole days, they don't air condition the hall ways, smells like booty 24/7. They gave us a free salad because they ran out of lettuce so basically we got nothing. They're out of chocolate lava cakes. There is a man in the gym grunting. They charge $2 for one tea bag. Do you know I scooped those up when they weren't looking. The phones in the room don't work.

Excellent, perfectly friendly service. Rooms are beautiful. I only wish the rooms had more outlets and USB charging ports!

Good location, room and free breakfast. The only downside so far is a construction that's happening near the hotel. Today started hammering and working at 7am. Super loud. Can't sleep. Other than that is a great place to stay.

I'd like to personally thank the Hyatt Place Charleston's Management for EXCELLENT customer service helping me with my reservation complication. They were very swift in resolving my personal issue without having to give an extra effort on my end. I have yet to stay at the hotel, but I will absolutely be staying there on my future vacation. The staff was amazing. Every single person there was pleasant and always offering to assist with anything. The hotel itself is very nice as well. Spacious rooms, automated black out shades, had a full kitchen, love the bathrooms. Definitely an upgrade from hotels in the area. Will be staying here again on my next visit back.

The best complimentary breakfast I have ever tasted! They make omelets to order and go above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoys their stay! We are staying in a two bedroom with a full kitchen. We brought a pizza to bake thinking we had an oven in our room but when we realized we didn't have one they happily baked our pizza for us downstairs. We will definitely be back and stay here again!

Absolutely a wonderful place for your visit to Charleston! The staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. I couldn't ask for more! Wow. Gorgeous rooms, centrally located and just as good as it gets!

Phenomenal hotel. We usually do Air BnB or small bed and breakfasts, but after having a baby we needed somewhere easy and with plenty of amenities (breakfast, pack n play, etc. ) The staff were INCREDIBLY warm and friendly — shout out to Lisa and the lovely young woman who makes the omelettes! The breakfast was a full spread; fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereals, cottage cheese and yogurt — the works! I would stay here over any other chain hotel in a heartbeat. We are considering extending our stay because we are so happy here!

The location is perfect for exploring the shops and excellent restaurants in the Historic District, our car never had to leave the parking garage during our stay. Great in room amenities, enjoyed the walk in shower, blackout shades and the kitchen was used frequently to reheat our leftovers and takeout items. The cable TV had the usual cable channels as well as HBO. The free Wi-Fi was stable and the speeds were ok, I never had any issue streaming netflix. The free breakfast had a nice assortment of hot and cold items. We would like to throw a big thanks out to Victoria for checking us in and making us feel really welcomed, definitely an asset to the HH. After staying here a few days my wife and I have come to agreement that Hyatt Houses have been our favorite and most consistent brand among the hyatt chain and this location is at the forefront.

This was by far the best hotel I ever stayed at. We were on the ninth floor in hyatt place, starting with the valets — Ian and Ethan especially were so friendly and really enjoy their city and their job. They did such a wonderful job of making us feel welcomed as soon as we arrived. Tammy at the front desk was so helpful at giving us directions and referring us to local hang outs which we enjoyed so much. The whole hotel is so contemporary and hip, our room was very clean and I love that there is no wall unit making loud noises while you sleep. Over all I don't have anything negative to say. When we come back we will absolutely stay with hyatt again. :)

Rooms were clean, pool was nice, nice workout facility. Only complaint was that some of the breakfast food wasn't warm, but most of it was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, and I would highly recommend Hyatt Place to anyone wanting to visit Charleston. It is conveniently located within walking distance of, well, everything it seems! We'd rented a car so that we could venture out of the city (North Charleston, Savanna, etc), but a vehicle really is unnecessary if visiting just within the historic district. (Charleston also offers a car service called Scoop, that takes you around town for free, definitely worth looking into! ) The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I am a nursing mother, and the hotel very kindly agreed to store my milk for me after checkout, so my husband and I could continue to enjoy the city since our flight didn't leave till much later. Our weekend in Charleston was fun… unfortunately we were treated quite rudely by many people as we walked through town… we are of Hispanic origin, and I do believe this is why. (I know, I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't happened to us personally! ) It was extremely refreshing to "come home" to such friendly, welcoming staff. Though we are aware customer service is their business, their welcoming attitude felt as if it were more than just "part of the job". Thank you Hyatt Place for such a wonderful stay!

My wife and daughter spent the night here the opening weekend, and the service was perfect. Everyone working in the hotel was friendly, including the valet, the host, the breakfast crew, and even the maintenance team! Not a single person didn't great us or ask us how the service was going. The lobby is very modern, open, and appealing, if I were there for business, I could easily see myself working in the lobby as most of the furniture I sat on out there was comfortable, and it really gives out a upscale "Panera Bread" feel. The complimentary breakfast was also pretty good. They serve eggs, sausage or bacon, and omelets hot. The also have fresh fruit, bread to toast, milk, orange juice, apple juice, and water in glass pitchers for you to choose from. The dining plates and utensils are probably more expensive than the one I had my first 4 years out of school. The crew was very friendly each day, and chatty when prompted. (My preference) The room was also spacious and comfortable. Fully supplied kitchen including: pots, pans, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, sink, plates, knives, forks, spoons, and microwave-oven. There are admirably sized 42 inch televisions in the living room and the bed room. They are on one of the satellite packages that give you all the major networks plus a few HBO channels. Only bad part was no AMC (So I missed "Fear the Walking Dead"), but I caught all the football games I wanted to see, so I'll take it. The bed was plush and comfortable.

Perfect location, right off King St. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room (which was a website deal) was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. One of the best hotel stays we've had!
