I do not recommend this hotel at all! it was a horrible experience. There were baby roaches in our bathroom. We had to pay extra for a safe that is in the room which is not disclosed at time of reservation which ee did not request or want. The grounds are in need of alot of repair and to be updated. The front desk clerk was rude. The phone in our room was plugged up but not working. So we had to walk all the way to the front of building to request more bath linens, shampoo and toilet paper. When the housekeeper came, she did not empty trash or replenish our bath linens the whole stay. She did fold our toilet paper in a cute little triangle though. I had to again walk to the front desk and request more bath necessities and complained about these ongoing issues but was not offered an apology or any attempt to quickly remedy the situation. If we wanted to walk around the grounds, we were approached multiple times by people who were asking for handouts and one lady who approached us had no idea what state she was in and was talking very crazy Cops were constantly patrolling the hotel which was reassuring yet concerning. Out of 10 stars they might get a 1 because we were out of the rain.

Where to begin… 1st room reeked of smoke, they gave us a new room. 2nd room didn’t have lightbulbs in the lamps, non working phone (only an issue because my kids wanted to dial their grandmas room from ours and the floor was very dirty. Room had a burning out ceiling light (actual charting around the fixture) and a non working fire alarm. All brought to housekeeping and front desks attention. Will definitely find a better pet friendly place to stay next time!

Liked the set up of the room. The bed was comfortable and clean. I am a barefoot contessa and had to wash my feet before getting into bed. They really should give housekeeping a lesson on how to clean. Cob webs behind the bathroom door. Other than that we were comfortable.

Just checked in but first impression is good. No Breakfast but good coffee. Good dinner restaurant in five min walk. Sticky Fingers. Good Barbecue.

Never again! we got ate up with bed bugs and the general manager is very rude.

Property needs a strong good cleaning. Concrete walkways are the worst that I've seems in awhile, just dirty. Maintenance seems slim. Sink drains in 3-5 minutes with only 1" of water. No one ever cleaned the outlet covers. And what's that in my tub? A mosquito?

This is one of the newer, renovated Red Rood Inns with hardwood floors, so clean, my favorite hotels. I loved the pillows with "firm" or 'soft' embroidered on the corners. Also loved the vanity sink, you'll have to stay there to see it, All the staff were friendly & helpful, free parking, an inexpensive uber ride to the city center. Just look for the wood floors in the photos of the rooms.

Person booking the room was actually very awesome and worked with me to find the best room. Got the premium room with two double beds at a very good rate. Room was definitely in need of Maintenance, but was clean. Phone didn't work. Alarm clock either wasn't plugged in or didn't work and the light look like it needed to be replaced. We didn't find out till about 1: 30 in the morning that the phone didn't work because we tried to call the front desk to see if they had any silverware. We could not get through to them. When we walked up to ask them if they did, we told them about the phone and they offered to have someone out the next day to fix it, which didn't help us, but we generally use our cell phones anyway. Forgot to say anything about the light upon checkout. Overall it was a good experience though.

Red Roof Inn in Mt Pleasant is a very nice hotel. It looks like its just been built or updated. The rooms are like new and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They're pet friendly and they have nice grounds for walking the dogs. There's an outdoor pool that I didn't try but I'll bet it's nice. Very good for the money.

Room was very clean and the area around the hotel was cleared which make it feel secure (no bushes). To be pet friendly they were seen but not heard. We have been staying at this location for our family vacation for over 8 year. Beds are comfortable and good pillows. Close to the battery, mall, great selection of restaurants close by, great fishing, and of course the beach! All the staff has always been friendly. for over The Staff is alway super nice.

Was extremely happy with my stay at this location, Everything from the room to the pool and the parking lot is very clean and well kept, it was first visit to Charleston and this hotel. This is by far the best bang for your buck. I am definitely going to be staying at this location the next time I go to Charleston, it is also within walking distance to local stores and restaurants. I would also like to give a big Thank You to Shelby the front desk clerk, She is very professional and entertaining!

Clean rooms, helpful staff. Great location for getting around Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. Safe area of town to park work trucks and or trailers. All in all a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this particular Red Roof.

Hotel was aging. Repairs need to be made… like railings on stairs and fixing an ice machine. However the, staff was very nice and helpful. Great location and fair price.

For the price the room was very nice and the staff were respectful of your privacy and of your situation. I ended up having to check in at 3am unexpectedly and I was not charged a full day since I checked in before 6am. That saved me almost $100. The pool, although I did not swim in it, was well kept. The patio was clean, no algae in the water and all of the proper safety equipment was in place. 4/5 stars!

Love this hotel. The ladies at the front desk were so nice and welcoming. My basic room was not ready when I arrived (which was 2 hrs before regular check in). They upgraded me to a Premium room at no extra cost and I was the one that arrived early! Other hotels would have told me to come back, not this hotel. Conveniently located from where we did a field trip. There was space for our school bus and you had many restaurants and stores that you can walk to. Room was clean and so very comfortable. A few minor issues, a few cob webs, plaster peeling on ceiling, creamer was dried out, coffee maker needed some cleaning. To most that may be a lot, but to me very small issues that did not take away from the comfort and look of the room. Safe location! Definitely will be staying there again.

Prices are very reasonable. Room are clean and well maintained. Staff are welcoming and professional. Bathrooms were very clean. Location is not bad.

Very affordable! I thought it would bad by price alone, but I was wrong it is very clean it had a fridge and safe. Nice big bathroom. Big TV and good coffee. The bed was a little soft for me but I sleep on a firm. Great shower size, pressure, and hot hot water. The front counter was friendly and gave great recommendations for food.

Yes standard motel and pricey. The staff were very helpful and helpful. And everything is probably. Expensive! Would cost three times cheaper, maybe it was good. To Charleston-car only.

My family and I will never stay at another RRI. The floor was dirty there was dog hair all over the carpet the bathroom toilet seat was broken. The beds was covered in hair. We found 3 cockroaches and that wasn’t even looking for them they was just noticeable. The heat when it turned on was so loud it was hard to sleep it sounded like a motorcycle. Very unpleasant time. Don’t understand why this hotel even has a 3 star rating.

The only issue I have with red roof plus at patriot point is the discomfort from sleeping in the beds after a couple of nights. And if you use clc or other corporate lodging card your room has no fridge or microwave. Rooms have always been clean and staff very nice and helpful!

Convenient to downtown Charleston. Property needs some love. Could have been cleaner. Staff was friendly. Very affordable.

Been staying here while going to MUSC. Great location. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Thin walls though can hear people in adjacent rooms very clearly. Aside from thin walls, all is good.

In town for my brother's wedding, we stayed here for location and price. Pulling in, we missed the driveway as the sign is hidden and the entrance is on a frontage road, behind a closed gas station. Check-in was reasonably simple, but had a snafu due to the way the reservation was made. The front desk clerk was more than accommodating and helpful and a few minutes later, was checked in. The room itself was simple. No fridge or microwave, and the Wi-Fi left much to be desired. The entire property is non-smoking, but that wasn't an issue as we were on the first floor. The beds were average — — nothing special. The bathroom was clean, but the room did have a roach infestation — — we discovered this on our last day (see photos). Next time I'm in town, I'll probably stay elsewhere, but if you keep your eye out for the occasional roach, and are on a budget, this place isn't too bad.

So the fact that you're asking me about my stay at a hotel is fine by me but I will of course make it really simple to understand that the reason why I went to the hotel was to visit a new associate of mine whom I only visited for approximately half an hour and the cost thereof was not much but I can say that it was pretty much worth it. The hotel itself is tucked away off the main Highway and fairly easy to get to in the Mount Pleasant area. I am from Summerville so it wasn't necessarily the shortest trip to get to the hotel. I would also like to make it rather simply understood that I have no problem giving all the details and the nitty-gritty of what happened at the hotel but that could be left for another inquiry. At the time of entering the room since it was already preoccupied by her it was slightly chunky but that was not the hotel's fault and of course I did not deal with the service staff at the hotel I'm really dealt with my associate.

It was clean and mostly comfortable. There are a couple of hanging "swing" sets that look out at a pond, and there's a pool. I dodn't gey around tl using the pool, but it's nice to have the option.

Service was great! Rooms were nice, clean, and very updated! Pillows were not the most comfortable though. Other guests were talking loudly oit side our door on a couple of occasions, but that is really at no fault of the hotel, just rude guests.

First of all, in my opinion, this is NOT a HOTEL, this is a MOTEL! Had I known that I would not have booked a room here! Their web site said it was a HOTEL! The problem I have with MOTELS is that having the exterior walkway allows people walking by to peer into your room whereas in a HOTEL that just isn't possible. I find that HOTELS are more secure. That being said, I stayed here for 4 nights and it wasn't bad. The location was great for access to downtown Charleston and some really good Mt Pleasant restaurants. The room was clean, the AC worked perfectly, and the bed was comfortable. I didn't find the walls to be all that thin as some other reviews have stated. We NEVER heard any noise from other rooms or the parking lot. Would I stay here again? I would, but only if I couldn't find a reasonably priced HOTEL!

This is a party hotel very loud barking dogs all night very poorly managed no support for guest.

Stayed here about a month ago, booked through a third party. Discovered a used condom in the drawer upon entering (I elected to not confirm its use but it was unwrapped). Great start. Thin walls, to sound and questionable smoke smells alike. Later in the night, there was a shooting about 30 feet from our door. We took cover for a while, not knowing what was happening. After about 10 minutes I peeked outside to see police officers, weapons drawn, clearing the parking lot. I proceeded to call the front office and confirm the gunshots. I asked the attendant to call our room, and others, after the authorities confirmed everything was clear and no longer dangerous. No call came. We were finally answered when an officer in full kit banged on our door. 4 hours later we were finally able to get a taxi and leave. Freak incident, but you get what you pay for I suppose. This was never reported by the news.

The Inn has made some definite upgrades to their rooms. They're modernized with wall-mounted flat screen TVs and raised square sinks. The beds was very comfortable and the room overall was clean and spacious. The front-desk staff lack any personality or pride in their work as they respond to any question or inquiry in a uninterested monotone giving the perception they're just present to be present but, the cleaning staff were pleasant and charismatic. They were nice enough to spruce up our room quickly as we walked the dog and did a great job. The value of the hotel is the real reason to stay. The prices are moderately low for what you get BUT this brings in also unruly guests that lack any manners or consideration for others. The halls reek of cigarettes and marijuana and even with a corner room, the other guests could be heard running around shouting and arguing until 3 AM. Last night, the couple that checked in last night got into it so bad, we had to call the front-desk for fear of a violent struggle. No police were called and no security was present but eventually one of them decided to just get in their car and drive of (after the noise of some stuff being thrown around in the room and outside). In conclusion, the inn is clean and a fair bargain but the low cost can be negative because of the kind of guests it brings in. Not all are bad though. Many of the other pet owners staying here have been very friendly and pleasant. Its pretty hit or miss.

We stayed at this hotel not sure what to expect, as our last Red Roof experience was less than grand. We stayed for two nights and greatly enjoyed everything about it! The location is ideal for visiting Charleston, SC, the price is quite reasonable, the staff that I dealt with was polite and did not waste my time, and the stay was quiet. Our room cleaning was great, the TV provided actually didn't suck (how often does this happen? ), and the room and all provided amenities were quite comfortable. I would have appreciated a small refrigerator/microwave sort of setup, however it wasn't advertised and wasn't a huge deal. I will be returning to the area in a few months and will almost certainly be using this location again! What a pleasant stay!

I was very impressed. Clean room, nice staff. Lots of power plugs in the room! The pillows your nice, usually you get theses flat things they call pillows. Nice size LCD TV with good channel selections. They could have some signage on the main road to help find them easier.

Clean… cheap and practical.
