Food was excellent loved the soup. Service was fast and friendly. Very nice setting for any meal.

Rooms were dirty. Bathroom were terrible. Needed to where our flip flops in shower. Had to walk up three flights of stairs carrying our bags. No parking. The hallways stunk.

Room was clean but overpriced considering the TV wouldn’t work properly and I couldn’t make it through a brief shower without the water cycling back to cold. Restaurant is excellent.

Great atmosphere but if you are taller than 5’9” you have to duck.

The food is great and people that work are great plz go here I love this place.

Please don't even try will be — 100 extremely poor.

I travel for work and always make this my hotel of choice. Great food and charm is what drawls me to Wayne Hotel! I am also a history and ghost fanatic… this hotel has it all!

Ghosts! I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite for one night. It was a last minute booking for a family emergency. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the hospital and was very convenient. My brother let me know that the hotel is haunted by fifteen benevolent ghosts, and Abe Lincoln slept in the room that we had booked. We were staying overnight sitting with my Dad in ICU at Wayne Memorial, so my sisters and brother alternated sleeping in the bedrooms, and I alternated with Mom on the pull-out sofa. Both of my sisters say they felt something sit on or bump their beds during the night. I felt and saw nothing. In the morning, the older of my two sisters came out of the bedroom and recounted her experience, telling me that her heart was racing and she felt as if someone had sat down on her bed during the night, even though she was alone in the room. I commented that I didn't notice anything ghostly, but I had seen a ghost before, so it wasn't a big deal to me. Right after I said that, and as I was looking right at it, the shade that she had pulled down the night before opened itself back up to the halfway point of the window. It was awesome! I recommend a stay here just so you can have a real life ghost story or two to tell. The rooms and the hotel could use some loving restoration to recapture more of their historic charm. It is definitely not a fancy place to stay, but I would stay there again without hesitation.

Historic old downtown hotel. No elevator! My husband and I initially were on the 3rd floor. We had booked a 2-night stay. The first night we had very limited hot water and the toilet could not flush properly. The last night we moved to a nicer room on the 2nd floor. There was plenty of hot water and improved water pressure. Both rooms had a tiny refrigerator and microwave, but no in-room coffee. Coffee and packaged pastries in the "lobby".

Great food with prompt service. Staff was friendly and dinning area was clean. Food was very reasonably price but the drinks were over priced. Would recommend.

Service was very slow and had to go get our own drunks even as a party of 10. Disappointed.

We went here for lunch the servers were nice the food was pretty good. It's a very small town in comparison to what I'm used to. Service was relatively quick.

Great time, restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Good beer selection. It's a very old building, and if you are into that sort of thing there is a lot to see. Easy walking distance to all the downtown. Staff was friendly and service was good. Will certainly come back for another stay.

We have been coming to this treasure for many many years. Step back in time and enjoy genuine hospitality. The hotel is charming, and the fare is more than fair. Stephanie, always great to see your smiling face. Try a bite and a chat, both can be found here, and always worth it! FYI — best taco's unless you fly to Akumal.

The restaurant inside the hotel Bistro 1202 is a must to visit, the food is good and reasonably priced and the portions are extreme. You will most definitely enjoy the food.

Awesome price for the apt, didn't see any ghosts… Little disappointed. But great stay and bar on main floor.

Wine room is the cozy little bar for drink and great food with friends. Monday's are great way to start the week.

Had a very comfortable stay. Rooms are updated and the restaurant downstairs has great food a good beer selection.

I have been there several times, keep trying, the signature drink was delicious, our lunch, just okay, I have noticed each time presentation on the plate is very poor, like it was just thrown on there, not appetizing looking at all! Our waitress was very nice, and helpful. I don't know if I'll be back? I shop in Honesdale all the time, sorry I keep giving you a try, but you don't change.

Just a night out stopping at some bars with my cousins. Stopped into the old Hotel Wayne. I've never been in there, but I've driven passed it a bunch. Real nice place with a quiet bar. They had a nice whiskey selection, but I held back a 5 star review when I didn't have much luck getting a whiskey sour made with egg whites. Next drink I attempted to order was an old fashioned with Woodford, and it was excellent. Friendly bartender though, I will return.

High priced for what you're getting. A ton of restaurants in Honesdale to choose from with good food at better prices.

This review is for the restaurant: Overall, service was great. The waitress was kind, smiled, and took great care of us. We ordered the calamari to share, pulled pork sandwich with fries, and a chicken sandwich off the daily lunch specials menu. Total just over $30. The calamari was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, not rubbery at all, and was served with a spicy mayo. The chicken sandwich was pretty good and the fries were good too. The pulled pork was mushy, like the bbq stuff you can buy at a local grocer, already made and in a container. It's not our preference. We did not eat this, but instead asked for a hamburger. The burger came out cooked as asked but dripping in juices (It soaked the bun). This is good in the respect that the burger wasn't dry, but not so good in the respect that it made for a soggy and messy burger. The bar was nicely organized, eye catching, and full of variety for being as small as it is. I personally liked their hand written signs on the walls advertising drinks available and the specials. They were colorful and well done.

Fantastic place, great food, warm atmosphere, very good service… just became a staple.

Good food. I never was disappointed in anything I've ordered. We always have family parties here. They are very accommodating.

Before I make my negative comments, I'll start with the positive. The staff was friendly and the bartenders were great. The hotel was not either of those things. There was no elevator, which makes it difficult for older people and those with young children. In other reviews, I read that there was a "water pressure issue", which the hotel attributed to a problem with the water company, which is false. We had a "problem with the water" during our weekend there, too. There was no water or it alternated between scalding hot and frigid when we were lucky enough to have it. I'll give the hotel a little pass on the plumbing since it's almost 200 years old, but fix the plumbing. There is no reason to not be able to take a shower in a hotel in the 21st century. On top of that, the carpets were disgusting and the room smelled terrible. On the first morning there, I looked under the bed and saw garbage (food wrappers and papers) left from a previous guests' stay. The worst issue for my wife and I was the cost of our stay, $141.00 a night is ludicrous for a hotel with no water and trash on the floor. They can only charge that because of the lack of competition in the area. If I go back to the area, I'm bringing a tent and staying at a campground.

We were seated immediately but while I slipped off to the ladies room my hubby ordered his beverage. When I came back it seemed like a long time b4 the waitress returned to take my beverage order then took forever getting it back to me.
We both wanted pulled pork but the only gluten free option I had was dinner rolls so I asked for the pulled pork with an extra dinner roll. What I got were 3 tiny sliders and a small pile of very hard potato chips. I wanted dinner not an appetizer… but it took so long to get our food that I skipped complaining and ate more when I got home. What I DID have was tasty and the price was low enuf but I was still quite hungry when I left. Just because I am tiny doesn't mean In have a tiny appetite.
This place reminded me of something out of an old movie. Quiet, dark, a tiny bit pricey but don't expect fab service.

The Hotel Wayne bar area sports an old-made-modern decor and vibe, with the latest beers, a cheerful staff, and as much history as you can soak in. Despite being a little more expensive than nearby bars, pitchers are the way to go for a large crowd. Can't beat the price of their growler though!

Mt wofe and I went to the hotel for dinner the other day. The dining experience was pretty good and the service was very nice. However the food was just meh. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and there was nothing special about it.

We had lunch at the restaurant there. The hotel has a quaint old time hotel look and feel. The service was friendly and the food was great. They also had an unexpectedly nice selection of craft beer.

This is a great place for a steak and some drinks. The service is always nice and helpful. I have never had a bad meal here. Its a favorite of mine.

I've never stayed here, so I can't speak to that. I really enjoy having lunch and a coupla beers in their bar though.

Old facility with minimal amenities. The Christmas dinner was excellent. Noise from other rooms easily audible throughout the night.

Do not stay here! The customer service is terrible. We were double-charged for a single night's stay well over a month ago. We've called four times (so far) and either no one answers the phone or we are told that we need to call back later, because the person who is on duty is unable to help us. I'm starting to believe that this is a scam that they regularly pull on customers in the hope that they won't notice, or that if they do, they'll simply get discouraged and give up. Don't take a chance on it happening to you — stay somewhere else!

This is an old hotel, not a chain plopped down at the interstate exit. Stayed there recently and my family had Christmas dinner. Dining room was full and the food was good. All three floors contain local artist H. Becker original paintings. We stayed on the third floor, no elevator but no problem. The first floor contains an active bar and lounge that was busy, looked like lots of craft beers. Honesdale is historic and you can walk to lots of sites. Rooms OK, beds comfortable with microwave and fridge. If you're looking for and elevator and workout room stay somwhere else. If you're looking for a place with local flavor and good food, stay here.

Hotel was cheap and one of the only we could find in the area. It's in a historic building and has a bar on the first floor. Bathroom was tiny. Being historic, the walls are paper thin. Like, you can hear everything thin.

The older lady in there is probably the rudest person ive ever met. Asked for a room and was accused of wanting the wreck the place and having wild parties. Im a solo traveller. I stayed anyway and the rest was ok just the lady (wendy? ) made it a horrible.

Did not feel welcome by the staff, was denied a room by the manager even though we were told by an associate behind the counter that there was more than enough space. Simply rude. They will defiantly not be receiving business from me again.

I stayed at the Hotel Wayne recently for a full week on a business trip. The hotel is much improved from what the reviews from two years ago seem to reflect. My understanding is that the bar and restaurant were significantly upgraded to provide a fine dining experience. I enjoyed a couple of great dinners in the restaurant. The bartender is very sharp, and the wine list is a good one. Prices are very fair. The filet was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The Hotel is an old building with lots of charm. That's not for every traveler, but as a business traveler it's a nice change of pace from chain hotels. The place was dead quiet at night, and I never heard noise from the bar area or anywhere else. When you add in the reasonable price, the Hotel Wayne stacks up as a tremendous travel value.

Food is fantastic, younger bartender is delightful. I have stayed here often. Rooms are good 80% of the time — old fashioned and spartan, sometimes linens are questionable. However, it is by far the nicest hotel in the area, has the best food in town and wonderful staff who are kind to tired travelers.
