A perfect place to stay for guests with food allergies/food intolerances as breakfast is made to order with a smile. Wonderful tucked away location near restaurants, colleges, shops, and museums. Very warm and friendly staff. Beautiful building though not yet returned to its full glory, but pleasant and charming. Hope to see it fully restored, e. G. The woodwork on the gorgeous staircase resurfaced. Will return for another visit.
Beautiful Beautiful Place. Unfortunately the amenities are lacking. If you stay I recommend bringing your own kcups, bottled water, beer, wine soda whatever you like, because they have the worst kcups and none of the other stuff. No snacks No afternoon Tea. Nada. They give you a cookie when you first check in. If you ask for them again on a different day you're told no only at check in. You get a nice little tour of the place and a breakfast. But I hope you aren't in a hurry breakfast is slow coming and the coffee at breakfast is watered down. Everyone was friendly, but I think they could use more help. Only three people and they aren't there all at the same time. Our Suite was gorgeous. Actually huge. Beautifully decorated. We had good AC. But our friends in a different room were not comfortable. Some minor things. Our refrigerator/freezer had a melted ice pop in it. That had refrozen. Speaking of frozen. There's no ice machine and you aren't allowed in the kitchen to help yourself. What a pain it was to keep asking for ice. And you got a few handfuls at a time. In the smallest ice bucket I've ever seen. Would I stay there again. No. There's so many other options in the area.

As a lover of history and architecture this was the perfect place. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we felt as if we were home, everyone was so genuinely nice. One of my favorite things about staying at a boutique hotel/B&B is socializing with other guests, and our experience at the Mansion didn't disappoint. Great house, great staff, great breakfast, great time!
