Since when did Extended Stay not include even 1 plastic cup for brushing your teeth, etc? Absolutely no cups, pots, plates, utensils unless you pay extra. I was here just 1 night so all I wanted was a water glass for taking medications. Also front desk had 1 person, a large family arguing when I arrived, 3 people waiting to check in or whatever, and so I left to get dinner. Came back in an hour and still 3 people waiting (different people). Nice desk clerk but where is the leadership of this place? He should never have been left alone to all of this on a summer Saturday. Bed fine, towels adequate, room clean. But I had stayed here before several times over a few years; I won’t stay here again.

This is by far the best place I have payed to stay at! My visition went smooth because the staff did everything to help me and made my stay very welcoming. The location was good to and breakfast was gonna point. If you come/ or visiting Pittsburgh and need a great place with positive energy and a clean room with a clean bed to stay I would recommend the Extended Stay In Monroeville! PA!

Nice and clean rooms, Appreciate the efforts of Janitors. Receptionist Anita made the check in easy and she politely answered all our questions. Good job by the team. We enjoyed our stay.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Its has everything close by one needs for a long or a short stay. Going by the name its a good budget option who would like to stay more than 3 days. It has a decent kitchen and is good for a quick snack or a meal. For guests staying just for one day, this could be a disappointment as the "Free Breakfast" is literally muffins, Quaker oats and coffee. Long stay its good. For short stay, choose a different hotel.

Stayed in a few different hotels in the area in the past and I enjoyed my stay here the most out of all of them. Very nice, comfortable rooms and a friendly and professional staff. Would absolutely stay here again. Would recommended to anyone.

While staying at this hotel on a business trip, I became aware of the fact that the General Manager, Vivian Sullivan, exhibits underhanded business practices. In good faith, I maintained excellent relationships with each guest I interacted with due to the nature of my work, which can be a bit noisy at times. While I abided by all state and local laws regarding sound production levels during my tenure, Ms. Sullivan explicitly threatened to terminate my occupancy knowing full well when I arrived that the nature of my work involves sound production and, during the two months of my tenure, didn't receive one complaint until the week before I vacated on my own accord. The complaint, from a guest who stayed there for two days, was filed with the front desk stating that I was too loud. Yet, no one at the front desk called my room or my personal phone or even knocked on my door to make me aware that another guest was able to hear me while working. It's disreputable for Ms. Sullivan to type a letter threatening to terminate my occupancy and hand-deliver it to me when the issue was not first brought to my attention in one of the manners stated above. Ms.

Great hotel. I have been coming here for almost a year and they have far better service then any other hotel I have stayed in. The front seat staff; Danielle, and Davon are amazing! The manager Vivian is top notch. A little more detail this is like a 2nd home. I never walk into a dirty room, everything is nice and clean. The housekeeping is amazing at making sure you are fully stocked with everything you need when you get to your room, and if you need more the front desk will always make sure you are taken care of. I have cancer and the staff treats me like I am family. There is always a friendly hello when you walk in the door, the rooms are very clean, they staff is always on hand to help you out if you need anything. Rooms come with a kitchenette which is fantastic if you have children or just like to make your own meals. Dishes are provided as well, fresh linens are always available at the front desk any time of the day or night. I will continue to stay at this hotel even after my cancer treatment is over! Great job to the wonderful staff!

Really great staff. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. I've been staying here since June and they have been more than accommodating. My family came up here to stay with me when Irma was hitting Florida. I got 3 kids and the staff knew that and gave me a suite which was much larger for the same price. Vivian, Danielle, Joseph, Devon, Angie and Shawn have treated me like family. This is by far the best place to stay in the area especially for the price. I seen people complaining about the breakfast of muffins, granola bars, coffee and tea but you have fully functional kitchen in the room so, you can cook breakfast. I highly recommend staying here and I will miss them when I leave I've become friends with all of them. Can't say enough good things about this hotel and if you do have a problem they will fix it immediately no matter who's working.

Location is pretty good for visits to Monroeville. I found the room to be clean and well maintained. Biggest plus is having a kitchen. I would have given 5 stars if the breakfast had been more elaborate than just coffee and muffins for the price I paid.

I was having a really bad day when I 1st got to the hotel but from the very beginning there were two employees that made my day a hell of a lot better then it was. They're names are Danielle & Angie. I called the hotel in the middle of the night to get a room, Angie explained to me that I would need to call back@7am so I did, I then spoke with Danielle & she IMMEDIATELY helped me. From the time I walked into Extended Stay America, I was treated with nothing but COURTESY & RESPECT. The room turned out to be lovely, it was peaceful & I enjoyed every bit of my stay. I will definitely refer this hotel to friends & family.

I had a stay here a few weeks back and I have to say it was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very clean! Anything I needed I was able to ask for and they accommodated quickly. I will be in the Pittsburgh area again soon and will be booking my stay here again!

This place is great! Super clean and they have the nicest staff. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be staying here next time I’m in the area.

I travel for work A LOT, and I had a great experience at Extended Stay. The staff was really friendly and my room was very clean when I arrived. There was a mix up with my check-in date (my secretary got the day wrong), but the woman at the front desk was really patient and helped me get it all sorted out in just a couple of minutes. I will definitely stay with you guys again next time I'm in Pittsburgh!

Went to a local venue to see the Marshall Tucker Band and needed a place to stay. Clean, reasonable, close to food and transportation. You can't go wrong here!

Nice clean place. Loved the hot shower that was very relaxing!

The only good thing about this place is location. Every thing else is bad. Not very friendly staff. I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to get toilet flush and burnt out light fixed. A/C is noisy. Microwave has grease splatters. You can hear neighbors snoring and conversations. Avoid this place like a plague unless you are on a tight budget.

Clean & cozy rooms. Good for short or long stay. Best location if you love primanti brothers or red lobster. Primanti is just opposite to it. Additionally CVS pharmacy is at 2 minutes walk where you can buy not just medicines but juices snacks and most of the general stores item. Very reasonable pricing and helpful staff. Only issue is they don't have enough breakfast options.

Someone tried to come in our room while me and my husband was having relations. I feel violated of privacy and disrespected! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Budget accommodations, with kitchens. Nothing fancy, but quite adequate. Good location, easy access to Monroeville shopping, expressway to Pgh. And Pa. Turnpike.

I would not recommend staying here to anyone. In addition to the rooms not looking clean and being expensive/overpriced, a woman named Marci was so rude during my little interaction with her — it was not a long interaction at all thank goodness. Her condescending tone and eye rolling were not appreciated at all when I asked her a question. I see a lot of other reviews on here that talk about poor customer service too. Stay somewhere else — — Monroeville has lots of choices.

Very nice room with cute kitchen area. Clean and bathroom stocked with necessities. Front desk lady was not friendly and rude with her responses. It was our first time in Pittsburgh and it was confusing to find this location as it was behind other businesses in a corner. Would of been 5 stars if front desk lady didn't have an attitude and if the location wasn't annoying to find.

Very rude staffs, she seemed like a racist. She refused to give us our reserved rooms. I'll never suggest this place.

Clean, updated room. The lobby is always full of people just hanging out. Some of the staff are somewhat unprofessional.

The room was very nice and had everything advertised. The staff was a different matter. When we checked in the man working the front desk was too casual for me with his baseball cap on backwards. The next day when asking about a fitness room (there is not one) the front desk clerk never stood up and gave a 1 word answer (nope). Lobby was a mess, it was raining and maybe they had a leak. Glad the room was great, we got what we paid for.

Staff are very courteous and helpful. But the rooms are not clean, We saw spider web around air conditioning unit in room.

The people were fantastic. THE bed was a bit hard.

Where do I begin? It's 10:50 pm here on the 5th night of my week-long stay. I was awakened about 1/2 hour ago by the desk clerk chewing me out because I hadn't told them I had a dog. I had called my reservations about 2 weeks earlier. The woman was very friendly, we talked about my dog, and she gave me the ridiculous price of $25 per night. We also talked about price options, as I am working in the area for 3 months. If I did a monthly set-up, it would be $55.99 per night plus tax, plus a reduced rate for the dog. To stay a week, $79.99 per night. I wrote everything down. When I arrived and checked in, right away the clerk started talking of price (hello to you too; thanks, I'm fine) and it was NOTHING that I was quoted when I placed my reservation. In fact, if I opted for monthly, my rate would've jumped by a whopping $800 per month! We argued, I got nowhere. Tired and needing to get sleep before work the next morning, I reluctantly paid for one week. Because I had told the woman I had a dog when I made the reservation, I never gave a thought to telling the clerk at check in. I was so miffed about the bait-and-switch on princing, it didn't cross my mind. So for the past 5 days here, I have freely walked my small dog on the grounds. Nothing said until the rude phone call awakening me, essentially accusing me of purposely not declaring the dog at check in, and even threatening me with a state fine of $300!

I always like ESA. It has free Wi-Fi, fridge, microwave, grab n go breakfast, everything at a decent price. Complementary utensils come handy.

My family needed to stay somewhere for a month before we could move into a house and we had to maintain a housing budget. The the manager of this hotel was able to apply discounts together (military, extended period, etc. ) that wasn't able to be applied when making the reservation online. The manager was very friendly and applied common sense in where to place us (putting us on the bottom floor when we had little kids). This ESA had everything it advertised (grab-n-go breakfast, laundry, etc. ) and I was fully aware of what amenities it didn't have going into it. I give the rating of 5 stars because the manager was able to work apply discounts, the establishment was clean, staff was friendly and the building is conveniently close to good restaurants and a wine shop.

This place is really disgusting. It's the worst hotel ever stayed at. They never gave us two queen bed even though requested, they have very small bed in the room, even 2 people can not be sleep on the Bed, They wanted to charge extra. Hotel Manager or person on the front desk stated I am the hotel manager, he was extremely Rude, He was yelling. We are never going to stay this hotel again, totally disappointed.

Very Slow check-in process. The guy took almost 15 to check-in. This is completely unacceptable when you have made the reservation well in advance. I didn't find any utensils (including coffee maker) in the room. I'm told that I need to collect these from the front desk if I want them. Unless I'm staying there for long term, this doesn't make sense to me. No Disney channel. My kid was disappointed. I stayed in many hotels. This is the first time I came across a hotel which doesn't have Disney is their TV channel listings. Like any of the hotels, the bathroom shower is very weak.

My reservation was prepaid so I stayed. I requested a queen bed got a full size. Room was not very clean. Had to request dishes. Had to turn in my dirty towels to get clean towels. The front desk is only open from 7am until 11 pm. The front desk manager is the only person on staff most of the day and night. No breakfast. No workout room. No swimming pool. Furthermore, I am a black female and was discriminated against by the manager. I was denied to use the hotel restroom although another individual who share the same ethnic background as the manager was allowed to use the hotel's restroom. The individual was not a guest. The manager had no explanation. I remained calm and stated he was ignorant. He threatened to call the police. I told him I would wait. He just went on to wait on the next customer.

No breakfast. But room was clean. Good for a night stay. The beds do creek.

This place is disgusting. It stinks very badly. They refuse to accept but it's the worst hotel ever stayed at. Also they never gave us two queen bed even though requested. They wanted to charge extra. Never stay at this place. There are bugs so it's not safe.

I stayed in one their rooms Oct 2014 and was brutally attacked by bed bugs. I reported to the front desk they me into another room. I spoke with the manager the next day and he apologized and promised to send out a two night free stay to me by mail, till now nothing came in my mail. Beware of rooms with bed bugs here.

Not recommended. Prices are quite high, more than $120 for a mediocre room. Even when we pay that much, maintenance is very poor. Our stove top broke on the first day and they refused to repair it during our stay saying that "there was no maintenance on weekends".

This is a barebones hotel, but price was above $103 per night. Very old and poorly furnished kitchen. Everything is worn out and over used. If you plan to stay for less than 2 days, you could adjust, longer stays would be very difficult.

Can't recommend this place! There is a very unfriendly lady at the front desk. Never experienced anything like her. They showed us a really nice room, newly renovated and would give us a really old and crappy one for the same high price. When we asked for non-smoking room they said no its that one or nothing even though there were not booked out or something. After staying a few nights (and paying properly of course) that brash lady even told us to leave if we don't pay again for our dog which we already paid $150 extra for! It is certainly one of our worst experience so far. And we travelled a lot around the world — but this is really the worst place. So we went to the Red Roof Inn just a mile down the road and had a very friendly staff giving us a non-smoking room with no extra charge for the dog. Clean rooms.

We stayed here on May 18th to see Game 1 of the Pens-Hurricanes series. The room was very clean, shower was great, and it was nice having the fridge/kitchenette. Pricelined it for $48, and what a bargain. You can walk across the parking lot to Primanti Bros. So that is a nice bonus as well! Very convenient location. Would gladly stay here again.
