The hotel is falling apart from broken furniture to mix match towels, heat not working and rooms smelling like smoke but it suppose to be smoke free rooms. Customer service is terrible. Management doesn't care about making customers happy and adjusting their issues would rather sweep them under the rug or brush them off. Unprofessional and nor cool.

Do not think about staying here! Drove 6 hours pulled in at 12:15am to be told at they gave away our 3 Night reservation. Then had to go searching for another place to stay. Front desk guy was a Complete Jerk!

This was the most disgusting hotel I ever stayed in. Red Roof is superior to Wingate!
Wingate lies by listing fraudulent information on their website about free breakfast (not so), clean and comfortable (disgustingly filthy place with blood on a closet door hinge).
Front desk looked like a prisoner intake center and so did the unprofessional employees with sleeveless tops and spewing false information about towing cars if you don’t walk back outside for license plate number. Nope it can’t wait until we get to the room and unload. Get it now or they tow!
In closing I don’t ever expect to book a Wingate again. Stay away!

We are the elderly couple that was being yelled at. We were even told to leave. If this is an example of what you get when you use your Wyndham Rewards they can keep them. I've never seen such rude and beligerant people in my life.

My wife and I witnessed an elderly couple being yelled at by someone from the front desk.
There were several employees hanging around the lobby with behavior and using language that was not appropriate and from customers.
We stepped aside to cancel our reservations I’m trying to make reservations somewhere else. Three people accused us of using our video cameras. They truly were not that important for me to video them 😂 we opted to lose a $110 deposit and one elsewhere.
We originally came here to spend our 20th wedding anniversary.

Stayed here this weekend. Service was unpleasant and rude at checkin. Each bed only had two pillows on it, and when I asked for more, they refused to give us more. Our room was lacking and ice bucket. They also refused to give us that. There was a lingering tobacco and marijuana smell all weekend, throughout the entire hotel. now, they've charged my debit card and additional $1, 050 and claimed it's because we left too much trash in the room the first time I called about it. The second time, when I talked to a manager, they claimed there were theft and damages (there weren'tl, but are unable to produce a report, photos, or invoice of the incident. I would rather sleep on the streets in — 16° weather than stay st another Wingate.

The hotel doesn’t have basic amenities—extra pillows (there were only two on each bed), ice bucket, extra towels, working mini fridge, etc. The hallways smell of cigarettes and marijuana, but the room smelled clean. The rooms are basic, but definitely fine for a few days stay. We had rude service throughout our stay. When we complained to corporate the hotel staff retaliated by draining our bank account of $1050, so now we can’t pay our bills, eat, or get gas to get to work. They claim the money is for damages, but we left the room in fine condition, obviously they are mixing us up with another customer. Nobody will listen to our pleas to please refund the money so we can meet our basic living needs.

Dirty the blanket in one of the bed had dried blood all over it was disgusting.

The staff was extremely nice, the restaurant food was good, everything was clean and up to date. The room was a little smaller than what we are used to but bed was comfortable! The indoor pool was open and the water was nice a warm. I will visit again when the outdoor pool is finished being renovated. So many stores and restaurants close by. Not far from Dutch something amusement park.

We checked in and as we got off the elevator all we could smell was smoke and marijuana. We got to our hotel room and realized bags of trash were outside many of the rooms, door was wide open, beds were not made, all the pillows were in the floor with no cases. We went to the front desk and made them aware at which time they assigned us to a different room which they actually went and checked (to confirm it was clean) before giving us the room key. We then went to that room and noticed dried up urine on the side of the toilet (please see picture), nastiness on the bathroom wall (also in picture), stains on the shower curtain, etc. Again, the room and hall way smelled like weed and smoke. We were later told there was no housekeeping staff. We left our hotel to go to dinner and when we returned neither of our two room keys worked. I then went to the front desk and made the front desk staff aware. It was then that we were told they didn't realize anyone was placed in that room and while we were at dinner gave that room to someone else and all of our personal belongings were behind the front desk counter. I could go on and on and on about the nightmare this one night hotel stay. Do yourself a favor and do NOT waste your time or money staying at this hotel. You will be extremely disappointed!

So we came to this hotel for a dance competition… from the outside and lobby the hotel looks great! But then you start going down the halls and you're hit with the smell of cigarettes. Upon entering the room, it looks decent. Everything was okay until we wanted to use the heat, and it wouldn't get warm. We had the thermostat turned up to 90 and the room stayed at 64°, so we called down to the front desk to tell them which they told us they would have someone come out in the morning, okay no problem. We ask for more blankets and were told they didn't have any clean ones so they gave us sheets. THEN when going to plug in the charger, I seen what I believe is blood on the walls! It was gross. Upon reading more reviews we seen one that said about 5 days prior to our stay someone reported bed bugs! There were others who mentioned no heat and blood on the walls. We ended up leaving the next morning and finding another place to stay.

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The “customer service” is appalling! Rude staff, dilapidated and filthy room, and nothing works. I couldn’t wait to get home and shower this experience away! There are plenty of places to stay in Lancaster. Do yourself a favor and find a different one. I will NEVER stay here again!

They double charged my card at the end of August and I have called there 4 times to obtain a refund, but I still have not received said refund even though they have told me each time the refund was being processed. Very rude manager and staff.

Absolutely hands down the worst customer service. We booked two rooms for our vacation and after receiving an alert about negative feedback from the hotel I called and spoke to the front desk, they were so rude, "well that would never happen here" "where did you see this? You understand we're going through changes because of covid" yes, I completely understand, everyone, everywhere is going through major adjustments and changes. I get it, but being rude and questing me, isn't part of covid restrictions. So I ask to cancel my reservation, after dispute they say it will be refunded to your account here are your numbers. Ok great. So we wait a week, no refund, I call corporate and then I call the hotel, then I call the hotel again and I was told the GM will take care of it the next day. I wait the better part of the day and I'm told well he's busy and hasn't gotten to it.
Listen anyone in this time should understand an amount this large is impactful if you don't receive it back. I called corporate again and this time I'm told I have to give them till the 16th to handle it, if they don't then corporate will handle it. This is absurd, I can't believe a company would allow this to happen I can guarantee you I will never stay at this chain and I told my family who lives there to never tell anyone to stay there if they have visitors.

It’s comforting in knowing that the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The entire convention and golf ⛳️ resort complex is fully renovated and under new ownership. Looks like a new facility to include the outside. It even smells new.
What is most impressive is that a room is quarantined for at least a week after a guest checks out.
This is my second stay within a three-week period.
The staff is very friendly and is very attentive to ensuring that your stay is a good one.

As everyone else has said, the hotel is under construction. The room was large, nicely decorated and clean. The pillow-top bed was extremely comfortable as well. The only problem is the distance from the parking lot to the front door. If you or someone you are traveling with is disabled, please know that there is a lot of walking! The drive around the parking lot is not paved either and it is a very unstable surface with large rocks. Once you are inside, there is an elevator that will let you avoid the lobby steps, but the distance from that elevator to the room elevators is still quite long. If you have difficulty walking, this is probably not the place to stay. It is not yet disabled-friendly.

Nice hotel, convenient to restaurants and shopping. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and clean. One suggestion, bathroom needs more lighting and a better exhaust fan. One light over the sink is not enough. Could use a light above the toilet especially in our handicap accessible room.

Our room was dirty when we arrive. Sink clogged, faucet clogged, floor sticky, a dirty towel. The pool is not a pool it’s a hot tub. The fitness center equipment is broken and is only a few cardio machines.

Our room had old fruit loops on the floor, found a pair of someones glasses and the shower curtain was disgusting. So clearly not cleaned properly. The floor wasn't even attempted to be vacuumed. AC unit had a tremendous amount of mold which made it very hard having my 2 year old sleep. Not very happy with our stay at all. The only benefit of this hotel was the staff behind the counter who were very nice to my 2year old but that's about it.

Very dissatisfied. Stayed here while visiting Dutchland wonderland with our son. Lobby rug was very dirty and covered with stains. Their computer system was not working right and could not read our card to confirm the room. Had to go through three different cards to get their system to accept one. Glad we had a back up card. We were given a wheelchair accessible room, which in its self is not a problem, but the devise to raise the shower head in the shower would not stay up once it got wet… and the beds were uncomfortable. And when we looked under the bed for a toy our son dropped we saw the support bars were bent or sideways completely and tons of crumbs. Cannot believe this hotel has a 3 star rating. Will never stay here again.

No pool, just an oversized hot tub. The breakfast: plenty of food, but the sausages were undercooked, and the toaster only toasted on one side. Our room was okay, except there was a mysterious wet spot on the rug which never dried (we were there for 3 nights). The mattess was a bit hard, and the pillows had some lumps. Another guest in our party staying in a room adjacent to ours got bitten by what we suspect were bedbugs. The hotel refunded them one day. The staff were very nice, and treated us like family. It could be a fantastic hotel if they paid more attention to detail.

Good air conditioning. Comfortable beds. Hard water and low shower pressure.

Only needed to stay for one night. Staff was very good to us from the time we checked in until our departure. Even though they were sold out for the following night, manager allowed us a late 1:00 PM check-out at no additional charge. Room was nicer than some hotels that we had paid more for in the past. Room had a large bathroom, a couple of living-room type chairs, a desk, ample closet space and (a big plus for me) plenty of conveniently-situated electric outlets. I will certainly stay here again the next time we are in Lancaster.

Carpet had crumbs bed squirt was soiled bath tube was dirty and a milk shake in closet with growth and hair in bathroom tray. But ac was cold sheets smeld good.

Upon arrival I checked the beds and there were multiple hairs on the sheets and a bun seed with pieces of black lint on top of the bed. Was also quite wrinkled. As if that wasn't bad enough, the front desk offered to change them but I received no apology whatsoever. To add to this, I had to take a cold shower the next morning because the hot water quit half way through.

Manager and staff were attentive and rooms were well kept.

Our group has had a contract for at least 2 years to use this facility for a dog show. The contract was with the previous owner. The current owner has had the facility for almost a year and just now tells our group they are no longer pet friendly and will not honor the contract. Contracts for this type of event are done years in advance. Now we are scrambling to find a large enough facility to hold our week and a half event. This experience has tarnished the reputation, customer service and loyalty of Wyndham.

Stayed here for a swim meet. Accommodations were satisfactory and the breakfast was nothing to complain about. Only issue was that when I called to ask if I had left my watch there, I was very quickly (like 2 seconds in-between me asking) told that there was nothing found in my room, which was a bit suspicious. Hopefully they are telling the truth.

Beware! Worst experience Ever! Had to stop at this place becuase a snow storm hit tgat didn't allow me to drive home. Since my check in my around 1am I had to be buzzed in the hotel by staff. As I stood at the front entrance no one was at the front desk. I looked through the side window & saw staff worker sitting in the side office on her phone with her feet up on the desk & her chair reclined. My hands were freezing but I began to knock on the window. My "friend" who lives across the street & reserved my rm with rewards is also now standing at the door wondering why we can't get in. Staff lady finally came out of the office to let us in. She didn't greet us she just asked for I'd & credit card. My "friend" only came with passport & becuase tge rm was paid fir don't bring proper card over. I used my card & we checked in. I past of immediately since this was a 10hr traveling day for me. My friend stay up doing crazy things that I didn't agree with. I them noticed that he went home & now had him 5lb dog in the room. I immediately told home that we needed to check out. Mind u my card was on the line& this isn't a pet friendly hotel. We got into a heated argument & I feared for my life. I call the front desk for help while I was on my cell contacted the police. The font desk never answered 1 time out of 10 calls back to back. While on the phone with the cops I exited room. Once I got to tge front desk (which was 5 rooms away on the ground floor) I spoke to front desk clerk.

Carpet was filthy. Not all of the lights worked. Ironing board was broke. The heat didn't work in the first room they gave us. Pets allowed on first two floors, but it was pet free on the third floor — that was nice.

This Wingate's rooms are below average, think 2 stars not 3. For example, the TV in my room was smaller than average, maybe 27". Additionally, the toilet handle was rusted and had half of its paint missing, which made it feel dirtier than it probably was. The soap tray in the shower was clearly dirty and hadn't been cleaned in some time. Botton line the rooms are reasonably clean and comfortable, but need updating. The front desk is helpful and the main redeeming quality. The water park next door is closing December 31st 2017, so don't book the water park package or you may be disappointed.

Staff is friendly but the floors of the room weren't clean. Wi-Fi hardly worked and the television had its own problems. Lack of convenient outlets as well.

Outdated and dirty. Carpet is awful. Dirty and stained. Curtains are filthy. Bathroom door needs washed downed. Continental breakfast good but good was not hot. Even coffee was only warm. Staff was friendly.

Very clean & modern. The staff was friendly & accommodating. It was everything my family of four needed for our trip.

People were very nice and breakfast was good. Great location for Dutch Wonderland. But, the rooms need updating and the bathrooms were dirty.

Traveled for a brief stay to visit Dutch wonderland kingdom with the family. We have 3 children under 2 and made some requests to the hotel including pack and plays and cribs. Hotel fulfilled them all. Including breakfast was clutch for hungry toddlers too! Four stars due to technical soft mattress and pillows. Otherwise stay was great.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nice. Some details were lacking, elevator buttons not lighting, for example. And we had some trouble booking through a third party, but the hotel staff advised us how to resolve the issue. Very nice overall.

Close to everything! Room was cleaned! Breakfast was nice! Loved that you could make a waffle in 2 minutes. I enjoyed the spa whirlpool too after a long day! Comfy bed. Front desk nice & helpful. Highly recommend the manor house buffet around the corner.

The rooms are decent. However, I wouldn't recommend it. There was food in the microwave from a previous guest. I told the front desk, that was pointless. The Wi-Fi is spotty at best. The next day they didn't clean the room, when I called the front desk they apologized and offered me clean towels. Mind you there is still trash in our room from a previous guest.

This was a very nice hotel. Rooms were very clean, and very quiet. The service was very polite and helpful. Also offered a free breakfast which was great. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I would come back again.

We went on a weekend trip to the Amish Country. The hotel was perfectly located to all attractions. The rooms were really nice and spacious. The staff was pretty helpful. Some could have been a little more helpful. All in all though I would give it a 4.5 out of 5.

The breakfast isn't really that good. It's just there and it's something but overall, could be better. The rooms are fairly clean but customer service is alright. The Wi-Fi here sucks and our sink wasn't working properly. I would not come back, but it has it's advantages and disadvantages.

This was the best place to stay. We have traveled and stayed at a lot of places and this one ranks right up there. The people were the friendliest and helpful even to the staff helping me make waffles. The breakfast was great every thing that was supposed to be hot was and everything was easy to do. Loved staying here and think we will look for this one when we go away again.

I attended a regional meeting for a client of mine at wingate. We were in the board room. Classy looking business space, free tea and coffee and extremely polite and professional staff made it a great experience overall. Highly recommend if you are searching for a space to hold a meeting for your organization.

Upon arriving, I was impressed with the overall look of the hotel, the lobby is well decorated, and the rooms are very spacious and nice. The pool was just gross but it didn't bother me, I wasn't going to use it anyway. The lady at the front desk was EXTREMELY friendly, one of the nicest people I've met, she even called us after we checked in at our room to see how we were liking everything. The only issue I had with the hotel, which was enough for my family and I to never return and is the reason for my two stars, is when my mother went to have some breakfast, she had noticed that the eggs tasted funny. She returned to our room where she almost immediately threw it all up. Now we know it was the food at breakfast because she was the only one who had eaten it and we had all eaten the same thing at dinner the night before. She was also fine after being sick, so it wasn't a stomach bug. When we checked out, we told the woman at the front desk who was not very apologetic. When she got the manager, he not so graciously refunded us $40. The situation and the overall customer service with the situation was handled poorly. We come to Lancaster quite often and would have made that our typical place to stay if it wasn't for this incident. They lost A LOT of business from us.

The hotel is good, lots of Parking, Breakfast is, comfortable large beds, clean rooms, lots of outlets, a separate entrance, Wi-Fi in the room, like a pool and gym for an extra Charge. Of the minuses: awkward shower, a little expensive (100$). Found hotels in Lancaster cheaper, from$50.
