The food was OK waitress was great. Place is understaffed, and when we had a question about our bill management became angry and argued six dollars with us which we paid. The server made an error on our order. Mgmt refused to take $6 off because she made a mistake. He refused to fix it. Very loud! Will not come back again.

Beautiful hotel, great service, wonderful breakfast! Highly recommend!

Salad served with entree. Dinner rolls served with after dinner coffee. Lousy wait staff.

Started with watered down drinks. French onion soup was good. Shared a reuben sandwich that was full of fat and gristle and with no sauerkraut! Waitress got huffy when I asked for a printed receipt. This was our second visit with sub-par results at best! Never again!

Got seat at the same time as a couple in front of us they got their drinks ordered their food and we waited 15 minutes and still didn’t see a server to come see what we wanted to drink what a goddamn joke. Told the Manager as we were leaving that we haven’t even gotten drinks yet didn’t even try and stop us from leaving he went to ask us who our server was and I said don’t know 15 minutes and nobody ever came over to ask us what we want it.

Adrian the waiter we had thought he was funny but came off as arrogant. Food took forever to get there. Food was horrible. Inside dining was bare and could hear girls at the front desk talking about private stuff that I didn’t need to hear. Waste of money, won’t be back!

This was an awful experience and DO NOT recommend. We were seated for awhile before anyone even offered drinks. This should have been the first clue but we remained patient and positive in hopes that our first time there would get better…it did not! The appetizers took forever as well as our meals. By the time we eventually got any food that we ordered it was barely warm and tasted as if had been sitting and waiting just as long. It was completely dry and sad. We managed to eat a few bites as it was around 8pm and just wanted to get out of our 2 hour nightmare of a dinner and had to have someone get our server because we are the type of people to pay even for the dreadful experience. Just a sad and miserable dining experience and will never be going back again.

Friendly service service of a smile food is off the chain you have to try it out and stay here it's a good place.

We had my boyfriend's 55th bday dinner party there. It was a surprise and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I think they practically bent over backwards for us. I would definitely recommend booking reservations for your loved ones.

Reservations for 17 people. We had great food, great drinks, great service & a fun time! Our server, Adrian, was superb & lots of fun! He made our dining experience exceptional!

My fiancé and I have been here over half a dozen times since we found out about this place roughly 6 months ago. They Never disappoint. Food and service is always on point. Extremely personable and friendly! Today I had a party a Bday party for my son whom turned 5. I had 25 people and two of the GREATEST SERVERS that I could of ever asked for. Never had to ask for anything as they were extremely tentative and friendly as hell. They blocked off half of a back dinning room for us and it was fantastic. I will
always recommend and highly praise this place as it’s always consistent! Thank you all again for everything you guys contributed to this being a special day with family.

Amazing food amazing staff.

Spent a total of an hour and a half here and didn’t even get to eat. 6:00 reservation, took 20 minutes to get greeted, drinks took just as long. After an hour of being seated our server finally came to take our entree order. Since we had somewhere else to be at 8, asked if we were even going to be able to get our entree’s by 7:30. Our server left and went to ask the kitchen, came back and told us no. Complete waste of time, not sure if it was just poor service or a crappy restaurant in general. Don’t really care, won’t be wasting my time or money there again.

The food is pretty good but the service is horrible. If you are eating at a table, you will have to venture to the bar for more refills as they are extremely understaffed and the waiters that they do have have zero personality. I will never visit this place again. Horrible.

We ate at Loxleys on Thanksgiving. Didn't get the turkey but my pasta was amazing as was my husband's salmon! our server Chris was good. We had requested Taylor but that request was not met. But it was ok. We understood it was busy!

Server, Andrew, was wonderful. Took forever for the food to arrive. The Thanksgiving dinner was not very good… we gave it a 3. The bill for two was ridiculous given the lousy food. Don’t plan on returning.

We loved the breakfast buffet for the family. Great 3 day family trip in the hotel. We are every dinner and breakfast at Loxley. Convenience. Comfortable and love the Robinhood theme. Fun!

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. Completely ignored by 3 different bar staff for 20 minutes then told bar closed even though still waiting on others then sent us to another bar in restaurant only to have bartender literally cuss when he saw we had sat down. Was told last call 40 minutes before posted closing time. Never felt so unwelcome at any restaurant or bar in my life. I guess if you aren't a regular you aren't welcome.

Delicious food & friendly service, especially the lovely Jordan (She is a treasure).

Went for the first time with a party of eight. Had reservations for inside, but outside in the covered patio was available so we took it. We were seated right away and greeted by a friendly waitress, she was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their meals (mushroom ravioli, meatloaf, filet with crabmeat, bangers and mash, cheeseburgers, and salmon). The pretzel braid appetizers were a big hit! The kids played corn hole (could use more corn hole games) and fed the koi! The atmosphere, it’s like being in a multi-leveled tree house, was fun and scenic. We truly enjoyed our experience!

Had the little turkey sandwich. Strange flavors don’t go together. Picked out turkey and ate it. Not real fresh cooked turkey. Will try one more time.

Really happy we found this hidden jewel! staff is FANTASTIC and so is the food. Room was sparkling clean and beautiful.

Friend ordered a martini. Was way over the top. Couldn't drink it and sent it back. Did not order another one. My drink was similar. Manager walks by and asks how was things. Told him about drinks. He says " yeah bartender is heavy handed on the poors" still billed us for the drink sent back. Way to lose a customer. Awesome customer service.

We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the meal very much. The hot pretzel appetizer was excellent. The honey mustard and cheese dip were fantastic. I felt the meatloaf was a little over done but enjoyed it none the less. I would have it again without any hesitation. The service was good but slow,. They were understaffed but did an amazing job regardless.

It has a nice restaurant, Loxley's, right next to it. That is where I ate lunch and had great food. I've been there many times and never disappoints.

Attended a bridal shower at Loxleys and I must say… it was wonderful! The room set up was gorgeous and perfect for the amount of people. The food was great and prices were even better. Really enjoyed ourselves.

I visited the Heritage Hotel for a bridal shower lunch held in the Nottingham room. The staff was very professional and the buffet lunch was delicious. The staff came around during courses to each table to make sure everyone was enjoying the meal. They waited until the event was over and we were packing up the bride’s gifts to start cleaning, but we didn’t feel rushed to leave. I had a lovely time!

I really enjoyed the event that o went to here. Our ballroom was easily able to fit 100 guests, a buffet and a dance floor. The staff was really nice, plus they we're quick and well organized. Their catering was delicious, and I especially liked the salmon with pineapple mango sauce. But, I wish they had a little more than cheesecake and chocolate cake for desert. They also had coffee, tea, and lemonade available throughout our event. I also really appreciate that they let us set up a large group picture by their beautiful front entrance. I haven't heard anything bad about their hotel rooms, but I also have never stayed there over night. However, I would recommend their event space to anybody.

Love the inside bar here, great staff, great selection of beer (craft and big beer), food is always done perfectly and consistently, love the menu here. Scott is the best bartender I've ever had and is a key member of their team.

Comfortable, though dated. Wifi is very weak, and the bathwater is slimy. The attached restaurant is awesome. Nice people.

I loved the dining area, so beautiful and waitresses were friendly and welcoming. The bed was so comfy I fell asleep so quickly. Room was clean and neat. Overall great experience.

Decent hotel with a nice bar. Great selection of beers. My only complaint is that check-in time is kind of late (4pm).

Great location. Clean but dated hotel badly in need of a facelift. Two star rating was earned due to torn carpet in room, handle falling off of door and poor customer service at front desk. That service is marginal at best. Desk attendant was missing for about 20 minutes and when she returned, was not pleasant, more like short with guests in line ahead of us and then with us. Whem we stay in a hotel, for us it is a mini vacation. To be subjected to a bad attitude, not necessary. There are several new properties in the area that we will likely choose moving forward.

Excellent hotel. The staff is unique and will provide an incredible attention. This close to 6 miles of Lancaster PA. I recommend it widely since the rates are very good.

Nice restaurant with super salmon entre! Only give one or two beer menu's to whole table. Need to print more paper menu's so everyone can select from the many choices of local craft and imports at the same time instead of passing the beer menu around the table!

We were here for a training seminar and the staff was very accommodating to our every need and want. The food was good as well. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Hotel is run down and just basic garbage. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work and the faucets etc are old and don’t work properly. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Honestly this place is definitely not worth all the hype. The food is not that great and way overpriced. They used to have in massive selection of cocktails which I thoroughly enjoyed when I was going out with my friends but their list has been cut three-quarters of the way. Their Mojitos here are still amazing but all of the food is too overpriced. Their deck is beautiful in the summer time though. I'm neither here nor there with recommendations for this place.

The Front Desk Staff were the nicest people I've encountered at a Check-In. My room was clean and spacious. Dinner at the Loxley Restaurant was delicious. My bed was comfortable. The event I attended the following day was wonderful, and the Staff working to refill the fruit, vegetables, and cheese trays were efficient and personable. I will stay here again!

The heritage hotel has many aspects about it that make it an excellent establishment. The location has a nice view, especially (assuming) from the children's playground that his offered. The rooms are simple but nice and the ballroom experience is great for parties.

Great bar, drinks, food, atmosphere. Love that they give back to charity with food bill. Carolyn and Doug (bartenders) make it a positive experience! They both make great drinks and have fun personalities. I Recommend finding them at the bar if you're looking for great drinks and service.

The restaurant is very good for a hotel. The staff and manager are very attentive and the food is very good. I have also used the ballroom here for events. The staff was very accommodating and attentive in the ballroom as well.

Free bed bugs with your hotel stay. I stayed at this hotel while vacationing in Lancaster. I left with my fiancé at 2am after finding bed bugs crawling in the bed! I immediately called the front desk and was told I needed to take a photo as proof. For anyone who has never seen a bed bug — they are fast… very fast — and they only come out during the middle of the night. The likelihood of SEEING let alone PHOTOGRAPHING these suckers is minimal. Fortunately I was able to capture two photos. I was given the email of the VP and emailed her that night at 2am — to ensure she knew I was leaving the hotel at a ridiculous hour. I attached my photos to the email. After multiple emails and a phone call sent to a message, I finally got a hold of someone at the front desk (A WEEK LATER) and told them of the issue. I eventually heard back from the VP and was offered a refund and a free stay — after a long winded email about how bed bugs come in on luggage — refusing to address the issue — and taking any responsibility for mitigating the situation. For those of you who have not yet done bed bug homework: if there is one or two, there are A LOT more you don't see. These infest, and if carried home, can become a living nightmare. I declined the offer to stay in the hotel again and after 3 weeks of waiting for a refund, had to go through my credit card agency for the refund. I looked a little deeper and found other bed bug complaints for this hotel. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

This was a really nice stay. Nice clean rooms, quiet atmosphere, excellent food for breakfast in the mornings, great bar, though service was VERY slow. We had a large group of people there our first night and a couple people waited 15-20 minutes for a bar tender to come around and realize people wanted to order drinks. But they apologized and offered a few free drinks to make up for the lack of service. LOVE the outdoor lounge area on the second floor.

Gave a 2* ONLY because the food at the restaurant was good and there's a bar that served alcohol! Just got back to NY with a group of 20 after our annual fall trip to Lancaster. Purchased the field of screams package! We noticed that we were charged more than expected and received extra tickets. After speaking to Zenny at the front desk we realized that we were charged for 20 tickets as opposed to 10! Understandable! Mistakes happen, however we contacted HEATHER who is the front desk manager and everything went downhill! After explaining the situation and spending over $2000 in this hotel combined, she explained that we could not be refunded our cash that we had just paid the night prior due to "policy" and lack of cash, meanwhile they changed hundred dollar bills for us! After speaking about the situation she decided to tell me if I want to feel better about myself I should ask the girl at the desk to go in her pocket to return my money! Not sure who the hell she thinks she is!? Talk about an incompetent disgrace that didn't even have the respect to speak face to face! What a joke! Let's also not forget the fact that there was a HUGE roach in room 167! As promised to heather because she was such a doll, I'm leaving this review and will be contacting her boss tomorrow morning! Safe to say we will not be returning to the heritage hotel thanks to this gem! And I will be sure to tell everyone I know about the lack of customer service and empathy!

Nice hotel. Very small rooms and bathrooms. But the rooms do get very cold, if wanted, which is awesome.

The bartender was very engaging and the crowd had a good vibe. My mojito was amazing. This establishment is a little pricey though.

We went to the restaurant attached to the hotel (Loxleys). The patio seating was nice and airy and the food was good. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The chicken wings and the fries were crispy. It was day time so there were families there, but I've been at night where they are popular for their drinks and outdoor bar.

Not easy to spot from the roadside, rooms were clean, flat screen TV, nice furniture, no sign of old things, comfy, but somewhat firm beds, slightly better than average linens, very clean bathroom. Waited at front desk for 15 minutes because the gentleman forgot his password. Looked like he was being trained, but the manager with him focused more on scolding him to find his password then doing the transactions herself since there was a line of 3 people. Finally when I got to the desk and asked about food it was 11 and the kitchen has now been closed. Had she stepped in earlier to help out, we wouldn't have missed getting to sit down for a meal. Lucky for us McDonald's is up the road about 1/2 a mile.

I was at Heritage Hotel on a Wednesday evening for a conference and dinner. We always enjoy going to the bar beforehand for happy hour. The food and service during the event are always great.

Very nice hotel, comfortable and easy to get in and out. Signage is easy to miss, though. I passed the entrance three times before realizing.

Nice older hotel well maintained and clean. Beds very comfortable, Bathrooms a little small, good resturant, most of the staff very friendly and helpful. I say 3.5 out of 5…

This place was awesome. We had our family reunion. Very clean and comfortable. Service was great, very professional, knowledge of the area. We will return.

Had lunch at Loxley's attached to the hotel. Overall I loved the atmosphere and the food was good. The wait staff was incredibly attentive for a Summer afternoon and they were definitely busy. It wasn't my favorite burger in town, but they have a large menu sure to satisfy all tastes.

I enjoy this hotel and the property is spacious. The breakfast is really good. They tend to a great job with large groups. My only negative comments are that my friends room wasn't ready by check-in and that there is an a la carte fee for use of the baggage cart.

Attended a professional event at the attached restaurant. The staff was very attentive to us during our monthly group meeting. We really appreciate their efforts. And the rustic atmosphere is simply stellar!

Me and my boyfriend stopped into the bar for drinks. I bartend as well, so I offered to open a tab using my card but asked to pay cash at close. Around closing time we waited at the bar for a few minutes to close out and the flustered bartender asked what we wanted. I asked to pay my check, he responded stating that all the tabs were closed out. I said I wanted to pay cash and he said it was too late, refused to give me a receipt and we discovered he locked us in upstairs. He said he 'yelled card names' and we never responded… being sat 10 ft from the bar we never heard him call ANYTHING out… n the bar on the first floor (that we had to be let into bc we were locked upstairs) still had people at the bar, and a friendly bartender, Matt cleaning up but still willing to answer our questions. Very VERY disappointed. That bartender clearly had somewhere more important to be apparently. So upset at the service.

Staff was friendly and professional, but the toilet in the room was awful and shifted making a bumping sound every time you stood up. Made me very uncomfortable and could hear what sounded like my neighbors toilet bumping all night from our room. The pillows were also the worst pillows I've ever used. Between the pillows and the toilet shifting noise I barely slept and left miserable.

Very friendly front desk host. Remodelled since I was here last. Very nice and first class. Marble end tables, TV stand, and desk. New everything in my room. They have a system down so they are good with groups and were prepared enough so that they had our rooms ready for us even though we were over an hour early. Oh my gosh! One of the most comfortable beds ever!

Staying here for my daughter's volleyball tournament this weekend. Hotel comfortable and clean. When I asked about laundry facilities, I was told they have them… but not for me (stupid answer) so smelly uniforms it is. Also, in down time, was planning on doing some work and catching up on other things, but Wi-Fi is such poor quality you can NEVER connect, not with phone or ipad, ever.
Restaurant accommodated our large group with separate checks very nicely and food was fabulous. Would give 5 stars to restaurant.

Stayed after a friend's wedding and it was a fantastic place. Rooms were nice and tidy. And the hotel had a great atmosphere. Nice bar if you're into that kinda thing, with a fantastic bartender. Would recommend to anyone.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. It is a wonderful atmosphere and the food is top notch, however the service blows big time. Second time in a row we were there and had an empty restaurant with extreme wait times. We were done eating before our kids food even came out. Thank you to Zac for doing the right thing and not charging me for it. This place could really be a 10. Just needs improved on the service aspect.

Had a horrible experience here on Xmas eve. Our son did the children's pizza kit and they dropped it on the floor back in the kitchen. Instead of apologizing they pretended it was the same pizza and said nothing. We noticed cause the one they brought out had no pepperoni on it and the one he made did. Still, no apology! Actually she seemed bothered that we were unhappy. Rest of food was just ok. Other tables were waiting long too. Waitress had an attitude and service sucked. It's really a shame cause the restaurant has charm and we have been there before in the treehouse. We won't return!

I had my wedding reception here in 2009. We had an open buffet for our guests but found the servers eating the food we had paid for in the back. We also paid for 2 kegs of beer to serve FREE to our guests, but found out after the fact that they were charging my guests for the cups of beer (that were already purchased)! When we contacted them about it they only gave us 4 free meal tickets to their terrible restaurant as if that would make up for the thousands that we spent there.

They have microwave oven and refrigerator in their rooms. Great place for family stay more than three days. Looks old but clean. Pool locates outside of hotel so sometimes useless if rainy day or too cold outside.

Have been here about 6 times and every time has been amazing! Tonight was the best, as we both chose from the chef's special for the evening. AMAZING! My wife had the Tuna dish, extra rare, and it was made excellent. I had the duck and scallop dish, and was equally pleased. Great service, excellent food done exactly how we ordered it, and the new craft beer menu was outstanding!

Checked in on a hot and steamy 95 degree day. The old air conditioning system for the guest rooms could not keep up. It was 80 degrees in the room until 2am. The day I left I found a bed-bug crawling across the sheets. When I took it down to the desk the head of house keeping was insistant it was a carpet beetle. Looking at pictures on the web, it was a bed bug. They assured me that Orkin would come out and examine the specimen. They called later in the day to say it was a carpet beetle, what a surprise. I under stand it's not all their fault, but dont lie to people about the issue. I washed / dry cleaned and threw out luggage. I wont stay there again.

We stayed two nights at the Heritage. The first night as we lay in bed we heard someone trying to enter our room (good thing we had moved the security latch over or they would have walked right in) it seems that the front desk had activated another key to work in our room. Their response when we called the front desk was basically oops. The second night there were 4 or 5 buses so the hotel was quite full. Mostly senior citizens, but one bus load was a group of young teenage boys. We called the front desk twice to complain about the basketballs being bounced up and down the hall. The ball bouncing and running up and down the long halls went on until after 1am. I mentioned it at check out the next morning and was told the hotel was full and you have to expect some noise. Will never stay there again.
