Lovely bed & breakfast. The innkeepers are wonderful and gracious. The breakfasts are fantastic. Centrally located to all the attractions in the wonderful PA Dutch country, only about an hours drive from Philly.

Great rooms, clean, neat, and quiet. Winery had very nice wines, I believe something for everyone. Breakfast was delicious.

This was absolutely a 5 star stay! Beautifully kept historic inn with all the modern luxuries. A giant bed and down pillows that you sink right into, DVD player with movie library for your enjoyment, jacuzzi tub, heated floors and a cozy fireplace with an over stuffed couch. The comfort level just goes on and on. The grounds were beautifully landscaped with a nice fire pit for socializing not to mention a wine tasting room with a great selection! The hostess was just a delight and so accommodating. My husband came on his motorcycle and she made sure we could park it right on the property along with my truck even though parking was limited. The staff was super friendly and nice. We were offered a gourmet breakfast each morning and never wanted for anything. I recommend highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Thanks for making our anniversary getaway so awesome! ~Amie & Eric Babe.

Love everything about the Smithton Inn. Rebecca and Dave have preserved the history with keeping the rooms so comfortable. They are very generous and hospitable … make the perfect breakfast in the morning, too… special muffins for the road!

Once again we were not disappointed. We have stayed in three different rooms now and have loved each one! The breakfast was amazing and talking to Rebecca is always a treat. We literally live two minutes away, but will continue to stay here. HIGHLY recommend.

This is the best bed & breakfast in Pennsylvania! The owners are amazing, their breakfasts are off the charts, and their beds are like slipping into heaven. They also have a cozy wine tasting room, small shop and a new beautiful outdoor sitting area! It's a great place to get away and be spoiled.

We have friends in the area and called the hotel to make a reservation, we were told they were booked for the weekend but the woman recommended we stay at the Inn. It was Our first experience at a B&B. It was cute and cozy. Each room has a color theme, we stayed in the red room. Reading the history behind the house was fascinating! Anyone can stay in a hotel, but staying in this B&B was an experience! Rebecca was so nice on the phone and very accommodating with helping make the reservation, she was just as sweet in person! The house keeper was also a Sweet heart. They helped make it a comfortable stay. Of course the best part of B&B is the Breakfast, they served delicious bacon egg potato tomato pesto dish, an array of teas and juices. There is a wine area and a little shop, we were happy to bring a memorable keep sake home. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to stay again.

Such a great experience for a first time B&B stay! The innkeepers are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and have working fireplaces; which is a treat all in it's own. The linens and sleeping accommodations are high end quality and offer all the comforts of home. I will never stay in a hotel again! Thanks Rebecca and Dave.

Always the only place I'll stay when I go back to PA. Rebecca is accommodating, gracious and kind, while Julia is one of the most positive people I know! The rooms are gorgeous and unique, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is cute and homey. I don't feel like I'm staying in an ominous hotel. Love this place!

Rebecca runs this bed and breakfast better then anywhere I've ever stayed. The rooms are spotless and the beds are great. The food is top shelf.

Rebecca and her husband are lovely. The accommodations are extremely charming and clean. My daughter and I stayed as we were attending a family reunion close to the inn. We both enjoyed Saturday morning yoga by the outside fountain and the large collection of DVD choices to wind down in the evening. I would highly recommend this location for those looking for their home away from home.

I stayed here with my grandparents and family for a family holiday and it was perfect! There was an amazing, home-cooked breakfast every morning in a family style dining area. I would highly recommend it to others.

We stayed at this inn for 2 nights. We were very much impressed by the hospitality of the owner. She was very kind in helping us with our accomodation, giving us some insight about Lancaster County &yes! serving us some pleasant homemade breakfast. The place itself is very conveniently located, has awesome indoor decor of antiques and beds are very cozy; all these making our stay a very comfortable one. There is also a nice bar by the fireplace for some evening time fun (we were too tired for that) and a big green yard if you'd like to get some fresh air. A highly recommended weekend getaway for anyone!

A great place to be and relax. The inn is beautiful. We enjoyed the homemade breakfast each morning and fresh fruits and more. You will not be disappointed staying here. We stayed in the sage room and Rebecca made the breakfast every morning for everyone that was there. Denise and I will be back to visit again. Thanks for the superior hospitality.

My husband and I stayed here May 2015. We stayed in the Crimson dove suite our first night. Awesome room and uplifting feeling. Then we stayed our last two nights in the Taylor's cottage! Was awesome! Loved it! Didn't want to have to leave. This b&b gives you such a warm inviting feeling like your home. Rebecca and her husband are very accomadating. Great ppl to have met! Their breakfasts were awesome, delicious!. Julie who also works for them was great and very personable. Oh also they have the best beds and sheets! So good we had to buy a set to take home We highly reccomend this b&b! We will def be staying there again!

Our organization needed a place to hold a retreat. This place was a great place for our staff to relax, unwind, and also discuss our organization. Their parlor was cozy, and had a very personal feeling for our meetings. The rooms were beautifully outfitted with all the modern necessities without losing the historic feel of the building. Breakfast was equally decadent. The innkeepers are fabulous and very friendly with a deep knowledge of the history of the building as well as the surrounding area.

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, will definitely be back again and again.

We think this B&B is a local treasure and our first visit was in 1988. Fast forward 23 years to around Feb 2011 and we were back again. Purpose was to relive our 25th anniversary date. BINGO! we meet Dave and Rebecca and had so much fun with them and their Inn we re-booked later in the year for 2 additional nights. Come to 2012 and we are back again for anniversary and our favorite room is even better and nicer. But our friends are even warmer and Rebecca's breakfast was a treat+. They continue to improve on the Inn in ways that are impressive and make it even a finer place to stay. Don't miss this gem.

I just returned from two nights at the Smithton. This place is a real find. The innkeepers are super cool, the breakfast was perfect (tip; ask Rebecca to make her incredible ham cups), the rooms are very quaint with a really comfortable bed, and the vibe is perfectly peaceful. I especially appreciated that the bed had two thicker pillows and two thinner pillows. I'm not sure if this was by design but I was pleased because most of the time when I travel I wake up with a stiff neck from oversized pillows. The innkeeper's attention to detail far exceeds the typical bnb and puts the Smithton on the map. Nice job.

This has been the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in and continue to use it as my base of operations when in the area. The rooms are amazingly clean, comfortable, and filled with charm. The friendly demeanor and insight of the area by the innkeepers is almost as intoxicating as the lavish breakfast served each morning. The inn is positioned very close to the rural country where one can absorb the countryside views and antiques as well as a short shot into downtown Lancaster for a fine dining experience. Ask the Innkeepers for their suggestions! They have not steered me wrong yet.

The warmest most inviting people of this amazing Inn is just one factor to this great place. We recently got flooded and had to evacuate with our 2 dogs, they took great care of us and even gave us a discount in our times of need. The rooms are AMAZING we had the duplex with a kitchen fireplace and Jacuzzi wow. The backward is wonderfully kept, attention to detail makes this place a lavish getaway, oh yeah almost forgot the breakfast HMMMMM all local produce from nearby made fresh just for you makes u feel royal. I will 100% go there again and recommend.
