Wonderfully food and people.

Beautiful Hotel, Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds, sparkling clean shower. Could use more water pressure. All in all, I highly recommend this Hotel. Looking forward to staying there when I go house hunting up there.

I have been coming to Lancaster for years, and I have to say that I am extremely disappointed in the decline in the quality of food the restaurant is serving people. My meal was luke warm and my husband had a grilled chicken sandwich that was definitely frozen chicken that was only heated. What happened to homemade meals? If I wanted reheated frozen food I would have gone to a fast food restaurant. The staff could have been nicer as well. Not sure that I will be returning.

Great service. Very attentive staff. Rooms were neat and clean. We sat outside in the evening and watched the Amish carriages go by on the street. Lots of cute shops within a short walking distance.

We were very pleased with the attention paid to COVID precautions. It was a very clean environment. Vivian was an excellent waitress.

Wasn’t expecting to eat there because of the virus, but they had tables outside. I have never found one thing negative about the service or the wonderful caring staff.

The atmosphere is relaxing, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the water is hot. Most hotels advertise these things to you, but Bird in Hand Family Inn delivers. I would stay here again 6 days a week and twice on Sunday!

It is such a quaint atmosphere and price is so reasonable. I don't recommend getting the meal plan because it saves a lot.

Exceptional and excellent service! Our family suite was very clean and welcoming and we enjoyed the complimentary 2 hour scenic Amish Farmlands bus tour! We will definitely be back and highly recommended staying here!

Really nice place. Its not the Waldorf but bird in hand is nice, clean, affordable. Amazing pools (2 indoor, 1 outdoor) and a big hot tub. Nice playground in the back, place to take a walk around the pond. The restaurant is great. Service was great. Highly recommended.

We really enjoy staying here! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is within walking distance to shops, the farmers market, put-put golf, and the Bird In Hand Resteraunt. There are two indoor pools and a hot tub, plus an outdoor pool. There is also a nice play ground for the kids.

We have been coming here for a couple of years and we always enjoy our stay. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is helpful and pleasant to interact with. They have 3 pools and a hot tub that are clean and well maintained.

This is a quaint hotel. It has old fashioned decor. It has lots of activities especially for families. The Wi-Fi service is terrible. The cellphone reception wasn't good either. Also there wasn't a lot of electric sockets. If you can live without your electronics, it's a decent place to stay.

My husband and I go here ever year for our anniversary. The rates are great, staff is friendly, rooms and grounds are clean. There's 3 swimming pools and a huge jacuzzi. The restaurant is delicious. And it's on the heart of Amish country.

Absolutely great family place. Has everything. Petting zoo, playground, indoor and outdoor pool, mini golf, fire pit outside, etc… Right in the middle of Amish country. Bit close to the stables, though, and definitely smells of horses. Gotta be honest.

This is an ideal spot for families in Lancaster'. It is an exceptional value with lots of things for kids to do. Adults will also enjoy the multiple swimming pools, the game room, and the huge hot tub. The ground are in excellent Condition.

It's ok but didn't care for the food. Tried the buffet and ordering off the menu. I will not return. Too many other good places to eat so why settle for less than good food.

Cozy place, super full. You have it all in one place. Good buffet, a Farm Market that has to try all its products. Without leaving the ice cream behind. And the staff very friendly. Fun for kids and big boys.

Second time back… Great room for our use. Stayed 3 nights and was able to use conference room each day. We had keys available to us so our stuff was locked up each night. Can't wait for our next Retreat!

Convenient location right in the heart of Bird in Hand. The buffet connected to the Inn is fantastic! Rooms are outdated (very 1980s) but everything was clean and staff friendly. Overall a good stay.

Bird-in-Hand Family Inn is our home away from home! We've stayed there at least once a year for the last 7 years. Our kids absolutely love the pools and outside activities available. We love the warm and friendly staff. The lobby in the Pool Building is very pretty and welcoming. The staff in the restaurant is fabulous too: especially Vivien!

The pools are open to the public on some weekends. So I took my family out for a swim! Had a great time! Make sure you call ahead, tickets are limited.

The pool was very nice and the staff was extremely helpful! They went out of their way to make sure you had a wonderful experience. The hotub was also the hugest I have ever seen!

The food was really good. We enjoyed a magic show that was good. Try the whoopie pie, it's really good! A really great experience. Not very new or unheard of but good all the same.

The inn is relatively nice. Well maintained pool and somewhat accomidating staff. The rooms are a decent size, though the beds aren't the most comfortable. Very near some great shopping and cute cafes. Overall ot was a positive stay.

We were impressed with the wide variety of things to do available. There aren't quite so many in the winter, but the Amish Country bus tour was a highlight. Make sure that you check the event schedule as soon as you check in as well. There are two pools and a big hot tub, an arcade and game room, a few conference rooms, a very small fitness room, the restaurant, mini golf, a petting zoo, etc.

This is our first time here and it was wonderful. Perfect location! There are many amenities like the indoor pool and jacuzzi that we enjoyed, many more if we were here in the summer months. Miniature golf, petting zoo, playground, tennis courts and the beautiful grounds for a walk if it were warmer! If you have kids 2-16, this is your place!

First time staying. FANTASTIC! We chose this place as a resort for a quilting retreat when another outfit fell through. Absolutely love it! We'll all be back again. They accommodated 18 of us, with our rooms grouped in the same hall, and our conference room also ajoined. Worked out great for a bunch of quilting queens! Can't wait till next time!

This is a great hotel. It's especially good for kids. They have many amenities, such as mini golf, three pools (two indoor, one outdoor), two tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, a petting zoo, a pond, and an arcade and a fitness room by the indoor pools. The rooms are clean and relatively up to date. Overall, the best family resort in Lancaster.

Great place to stay. Rooms are perfect! Love the comfy beds. Have indoor and outdoor pools. The grounds are beautiful. After enjoying a delicious smorgasbord, with a 20% off coupon that they give you upon check in, my husband and I lounged on the comfy lounge chairs out front on the big lawn. We got to see 2 hot air balloons inflate and fly up into the sky right before us. We go every June to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We always recommend for others to come here. Hospitality is always friendly and there for you. We also stayed at the inn one year. Lovely old fashioned house. Price is always right. Thanks for a wonderful time as always.

Great family atmosphere! very clean and lots to do with the kids including shows, mini golf, excellent pools, playground and a small petting zoo. The restaurant is buffet style with very good food. There is a Farmers market right next door and a bakery with a homemade ice cream right across the street as well. This is our go to hotel when we are visiting the Lancaster area.

For a stress free take on the Pennsylvania Dutch experience my family recommends Bird in Hand. Comfy and simple rooms. The smorgasbord offered next door is one of the best in the area and the lunch version is very well priced with a large selection. The mini golf courses are fun and well designed. We've stayed twice so far and have no regrets. Our daughter wanted to move to move in permanently!

Great family hotel/resort in Dutch Pennsylvania. Mini golf course is well maintained as are the 3 pools (one is salt-water). The petting zoo isn't much to look at. All you can eat buffet (smorgasbord) is worth the money.

Nice place to stay when you are in Amish country. Room was clean and the layout of the place allows you some space. Had to walk outside to get to breakfast, but that is the plus/minus of being away from the crowds in the main building.

We have stayed here every year for the last 22 years and have loved it each time. Service is great, the area has plenty to do, the pools are well maintained, and the staff is very nice. Though it is becoming more expensive each year, it is a great holiday getaway.

Friendly people, free pie from their bakery, their Amish tour is amazing. I am ready to go back any time. It's amazing thing about Lancaster. And this is the only place in my travels, that I would go back again and again.

BUFFET RESTAURANT REVIEW FOR HEALTHY MEALS I recommend their breakfast buffet (across the drive from the rooms), included with your room price. I like to eat healthy, but all-you-can-eat is a particular challenge, as the temptation is to overeat. I found the following healthy items: 1) Scrambled eggs which I mixed with the Amish (sweetened) stewed tomatoes. They don't have egg whites without the yolk, but the latest nutrition advice is to eat the yolks anyway. 2) Yogurt, to which I added strawberry or apple toppings (provided for the waffles, toast, French toast, raisin toast, etc. ). The yogurt is in a vat, and the flavor wasn't written on the sign, but it was white, so I figured it was either plain or vanilla. It was vanilla. 3) Fresh fruit, including (pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew) wedges, pear halves, and whole apples and bananas. 4) They also had cold cereal, oatmeal, and cream of wheat, but I avoid carbs from grains, and want something fancier on vacation anyway. 5) One disappointment was no lean meat. I ate the sausage links, which were rather fatty. I obviously avoided the bacon. If you are trying to eat healthy, or are a vegetarian, the only options I see for protein are the scrambled eggs or yogurt. If you are a vegetarian who doesn't eat milk or dairy, there don't seem to be any good options. I didn't see any nuts or beans. 6) They were excellent at keeping the buffet stocked, I never saw any empty vats.
