Nasty response to my review. Overpriced food and room rate. Nickel and dime you for parking.

Your staff did a beautiful job of decorating and serving our guests at the Jenkins baby shower, Got many compliments from the guests. Took a lot of stress away during a very exciting time. Thank you again.

Great shuttle service, spacious rooms.

I stayed for 9 nights for work. Front desk employees were very nice and shuttle service was very nice. But housekeeping is a disgrace. In 9 days my sheets were only changed once and only because I went to the front desk to ask them to be changed. I knew they hadn’t been due to a mark on the sheets. 2 of the days my room wasn’t cleaned at all. I again went to the front desk and they asked if I had my Do Not Disturb sign up. Nope… I was at work all day everyday. My desk was never wiped off the entire time and I know this because I had a drink the first night and there was a little spot of soda. That spot was still there the entire time. I’m not usually a germ freak but now I honestly hope the sheets were changed and room was cleaned before I checked in. Another employee with me was in a room on the same floor had the same exact issues so this wasn’t just me.

The lady that checked us in Tracey didn’t give us any information about the hotel like she gave the customer in front of us. Told the people behind me about paying $5.00 per day for parking didn’t give us a parking pass I had too asked. Than I wanted to stay until the 23rd didn’t even offer to try to extend my time. I made reservations on line at $98.00 dollars but was charged $144.00 per night. My son is attending college here I would never stay here and I’m recommending that nobody stay here.

Rented the pool 3 months in advance (for $200) for my 8 year old son's birthday party. Exactly 1 hour and 45 minutes before our party was to start they called to cancel due to an issue with the pool. My child was devastated and most of the 20 kids shed tears. I will never take my business to them again.

Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. And staff was very helpful and friendly great location.

We stayed here for a wedding in September, and they charged us for smoking in the room because I LEFT A PACK OF CIGARETTES THERE! Apparently, management thinks this is enough of a reason. Please, we are grown-ups and know better. I don't even smoke in my own house, why would I smoke in a hotel room? And when you call to dispute the claim, management won't return your calls until you get corporate involved! DON'T STAY HERE! It's already over-priced, and now we are being charged double!

Just ate lunch in their in-house restaurant. I wasn't going to eat but their menu enticed me! I had a lovely salad. Very crisp baby greens served with a lite balsamic dressing. Moist chicken and some fruit on it.

Clean, comfortable rooms, great beds with even better pillows. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to rest after being out all day at the Flood City Music Festival.

I was honestly very impressed — We were there to visit a family member and the room was very clean. Staff was incredibly helpful during check-in and check-out, and we never once had an issue. Neighbors kept slamming doors, but that isn't the hotel's fault. The one thing I want to mention is Harrigan's, the restaurant inside the hotel. It is 100% a diamond in the rough. I had the eggs benedict there twice and both times it was perfect, and the piano playing at night was so wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Johnstown. If you get lucky you might even get a room with a mountain view.

Great place for business meetings, wedding receptions, birthday parties at the pool and a nights stay in a free environment. Go to the restaurant and have a great meal on the wine deck or just have a drink at the in-house bar. Your sure to enjoy your time at "THE HOLIDAY INN".

My family attended a graduation dinner for my husband's job. The food was excellent & the space was adequate. The staff wasn't overly friendly but they weren't rude either. Overall it was a very pleasant evening.

Nice Central location. The employees were professional and very courteous. The room was spacious and clean. No complaints whatsoever.

Haven't been here in 20 years, presently surprised. Nice lobby, restaurant prices a little high, didn't eat there this time. Would return if in area.

I walked in and the whole entrance smelled very nice and was very clean. The staff at the desk were super helpful and very nice.

Only good hotel around Johnstown. Glad they had a good restaurant. Enjoyed the room delivery. Restaurant is a bit pricey and doesn't have many options. Room was nice and as per IHG standard. Shuttle service was available. Over all great experience.

The room was clean and spacious. This is one of the nicest Holiday Inn's my family has been in. The service was really great and everyone was really courteous and friendly. Loved the free coffee offered in the lounge area every morning.

See my recent picture and comment posting of the prime rib special we ate at Harrigan's in January 2018. Consistently excellent food and service, and the best wine list in the Southern Alleghenies region. A pleasant surprise for visitors to downtown Johnstown, PA.

Hotel needs preventive maintenance. Room heater short cycled all night. Door locks are getting worn and card keys do not always work. Restaurant does not open until 7:30 on the weekend. OK for most but I was here on business. Been coming here for years. Will continue to stay here. If you are looking for a get away weekend, this may not be the right place. Hopefully hotel management will improve the hotel.

Its handicap accessible ample parking Conveniently located. The hotel is clean comfortable and has friendly staff. We enjoy using the pool. The restaurant is always delicious and very classy. Both the breakfast and the buffet lunch are delicious. I enjoy when they have the piano being played.

Great hotel with nice rooms, comfy beds. The restaurant is top notch but a little pricey for Johnstown. Overall one of the best choices in the area.

We visited Johnstown the weekend of November 3 for a wedding in the area and we had a comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn. It was centrally-located to all the festivities for our weekend. The staff was friendly and got us checked-in very quickly. The room was standard — clean and comfy, but nothing fancy. Had trouble operating the AC unit as there were no instructions and the timer doesn't seem to have an "off" option once you've touched that button. We had a few drinks at the bar and had good service there. FYI — — Parking was $6.00 per night for their lot/parking garage. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly. Overall, a good stay!

My 9 year old attended a pool party here and loved it. Staff was accommodating, and friendly. Facilities were well maintained.

The stay was overall above average. Parking was a concern though. The parking garage is an extremely tight fit with paint falling off the metal beams. The room was nice, and Harrigans (The restaurant inside) has a good breakfast.

We stayed at the hotel for after a wedding and it was very clean and the receptionists were very nice. Parking and breakfast have a fee. The breakfast really isn't worth $10 for something that's normally included with the room rate. The hotel itself is very nice though and it was a good place to stay.

Nice hotel, good restaurant downstairs. Pretty much what you'd expect out of a Holiday Inn. Not much around it, this part of town is sort of dead, but I don't mind for business stays. This is my 4th time staying here, and I'd stay here again, no problem.

We stayed in the hotel for one night and overall I was happy with this stay. The staff was friendly, the decor was up-to-date and the place was clean. No significant complaints overall. Good location downtown that allowed us to get to where we wanted quickly.

Everything about the hotel is pretty dated. Dated as in decades old. From the 80's technology ac units in the room, to the 80's wanna be Italian themed bar and restaurant. They are going to be renovating the restaurant in the upcoming weeks supposedly, so you may see an improvement there, but the entire property needs an upgrade. With that being said, the food and service is good as is the service at the front desk.

The conference room was neat and clean. Great acoustics and a good conference facility. Parking is limited in the lot, and the garage, which is a bit small for a larger vehicle. The staff at the Holiday Inn was friendly and courteous.

This is my 2nd time staying there. The staff were accommodating and friendly. There was a problem with the shower, maintenance came to repair it they were not able to fix it, but offered to change my room. I changed room and all was well. I will continue to stay there in my next visit to Johnstown.

Only got drinks after a friend's wedding. It was a good time. The servers were friendly, and prices were fair. Open late.

Location was good in the city. Easy to get where we were going. Parking was easy on their garage. Could have used bigger elevators, but they weren't too bad. Comfy bed, lots of outlets. Keurig in the room, the only 2 regular coffee k-cups (plus 2 decaf) for 2 people. Just having it tho, was a plus. Easy checkout. I recommend!

Stayed for just one night and it was quite nice, but I can echo a comment that I see here on this page about breakfast. I used an online service to book on which I filtered it for hotels that include free breakfast… only to arrive and find out that it did not have free breakfast. Ate there anyway and it was no great shakes; expected more and better from a hotel buffet breakfast.

UPON arriving, the front desk staff was attentive, polite and had me on my way in minutes. The hotel was very clean as was my room. Cleaning staff kept my room up. Restaurant in hotel, food was great. All in all, I would recommend and stay there again. Over all I give this hotel 5 stars.

I was suppose to be staying there from June-October for my job. I booked a room for a week our company discount rate was 220 split between 2 of us was 110 a person. I was billed 974 dollars when I checked in. After 5 days now it was partially fixed but my bank had to handle the rest. After I checked out they said there was a mistake and I owed them 15 more dollars. Are you kidding? Like you didn't make enough mistakes on my account? Sure did seem very inconvenient to management that I had this issue. We will be staying at the hotel across the street. It's not as nice but they treat you better. And don't have billing issues. I wasn't the only person In our group that had this problem. Seems like 3-4 rooms we would have be booking every week for 5 months isn't a big deal. I'm sure the owner of the hotel would not be impressed with the customer service we received.

Was visiting a friend who was in town. The room was nice. We spent most of our time at the pool which was very nice and was a good size. The pool goes to 9 feet which was a pleasant surprise. They also have a sauna.

Very nice establishment and staff. The bar makes great mixed drinks but lacks a good beer selection. Room was clean but had odd smell. Pool was nice.

We reserved a block of rooms for our out of town wedding guests. My one bridesmaid missed the cut off date for the rooms and rate, so we called to have the rate and rooms reopened. They booked and were still unable to receive the discounted rate even after we personally called. Very disappointing.

This hotel is situated conveniently in downtown Johnstown with quick access to the highway and local stores. It is clean and well maintained.

We had a nice time at the indoor pool and workout room. Then we spent the rest of the night in the room. We had all the bathroom necessities and the sheets were nice and clean.

1. Friendly and knowledgeable check-in staff. 2. Exceptionally professional cleaning crew… Barb knew I didn't like my sheets tucked without even asking… And left my fav. Candy. 3. In-house restaurant, Harrigan's prepared delicious Eggs Benedict. 3a. Pass on ordering the breakfast buffet. Items aren't frequently rotated. 4. Decor was very modern yet avoided being garish or chintzy. 5. Quiet night's rest on newer bedding. A great surprise in JST.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament on President's Day weekend. We arrived on Friday night to find out the kids don't eat free with a sign printed on the front desk. We weren't told this when we booked the rooms. The original sign had said it was Sat-Mon. When we went to the over priced restaurant, they tried charging us for the kid's meals and when we objected, they took off the kid's meals, but then changed the sign to include friday so the rest of the team were stuck paying. The rooms themselves were tiny for what we payed and the $5 parking is absurd. The pool was always out of towels, so the kids had to go back to the room cold and soaking wet. I also didn't have anyone clean my room once the entire weekend and had to ask for towels — which also took some time because they didn't have any. The staff was nice enough, but not very helpful when asked any kind of questions. Lastly, we had asked to stay in a conference room so the kids and parents had somewhere to hang out and wouldn't bother other guests. We were told it would be $200 and there was no outside food or drink allowed. All in all, this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We go out of town for tournaments a couple times a year, including other holiday inns, and have never been treated like we were bothering people as we were here. This has made me never want to stay at another Holiday Inn and definitely never come back to Johnstown.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants kitchen closes at 10 but stays open for drinks until 12am.

Good — Clean room, fast service, and good restaurant (although a little pricey for what you get) Bad — Booked a King size bed on the IHG app, but when we got there they only bad 2 double beds. Poor coffee in the morning (and no breakfast — but that was known).
