Great stay here. Staff was efficient when we reported an issue on leak from bathroom above. We were given a new room very quick. Had no issue with breakfast selection, there are a lot to select, from waffle, buns, muffins, cereals; etc. Also there is a good restaurant nearby (walking distance). I would recommend to stay here, especially those who are just stopping over a night or 2.

For once, staying in a motel was a nice experience. The desk staff checked us in quickly and efficiently. Our room was sparkling clean and actually had places to sit apart from the bed. A quiet spot to rest after a day of moving our household and cleaning. Plenty of nearby restaurants, too!

I gave this place 5 Stars bases upon the staff. Outstanding customer service. If only judging the facility probably 3 1/2 Stars. Renovation/upgrade seriously needed.

For the price this place offers a comfortable bed and nice amenities. The facility is a bit run down and could use a little more cleaning. We have been here 3 nights and the hallway has not been vacuumed. The room was clean and very comfortable. No bugs or dirt from the last residents. The breakfast was standard for this chain but spread out in a very nice way that you are not all jammed up. We travel with a dog and will come back here when in the area. This hotel is nice for the price, don't pass it up.

I had no issues checking in. No issues with the room. No issue with the breakfast. Room was fine. Bathroom fine. Service fine. Nothing really stood out to me whether or good or bad. But, for a place to just crash your head at night and speed away from in the morning with their toast between your teeth, it will do the trick.

The room was very nice bed extremely comfortable… The girl at the front desk wasn't very personable though… BUT, the ladies who were cleaning the rooms were so nice, friendly and helpful. They are the ones that made the stay that much better… Should I say, they deserve a raise or at least a big thank you from management for making up for the front desk experience!

This La Quinta is in a great location in Winston Salem with amazing restaurants within steps from the hotel. The rooms are always clean. It is pet friendly. Offers a free breakfast. The staff is always friendly and helpful during our stays.

We loved our room. My fiance and I slept very soundly on a VERY comfortable Simmons King size mattress. We will definitely be staying with you again in the future. When we checked in, while walking by a room, we overheard a little bit of a hotel team meeting… you guys are indeed awesome…

Wonderful service from the Hotel Staff. Had a group meeting there recently and everyone raved about the staff. Friendly, personable, professional! Compares to service at places with much higher price tag. Big “Thank You” to Tonia working the Breakfast area on 2/22/18. She cares about her job, the hotel guests and it shows!

Hotel beds were comfy, television had limited channels, rooms need some updating. Breakfast was sub par, coffee was never full and limited options (mainly food heated via microwave) Staff was friendly and helpful, room was cleaned and towels restocked. The toilet was nice. Pool was closed, spa was closed. Well needed after our event. Fitness center was decent and had some decent equipment.

Laquinta… thank you for making my stay relaxing and quiet. I am completely satisfied. I was sang to at breakfast by a lovely employee who made me blush. Thanks again.

Some recent events made this an uncomfortable stay. Although the welcome is always warm and the staff is attentive, they had two water pipes burst in the breakfast room/lobby the week prior so we arrived to slick, grimy floors and hanging plastic from the ceiling. Seven industrial fans were dotted around the lobby to help dry but thus meant you had to shout to be heard. My room door did not shut properly, the hair dryer in my friends room burst into flames and the entire floor contains the lingering smell of the smokers of the past. It was certainly tolerable for a two night stay but it is unlikely that I will return any time soon.

To be honest I had a very pleasant stay. My issue came about after I checked out of my room. Someone in house keeping must have stolen my Michael Kors sandals instead of turning them in to the lost and found. I’ve called multiple times to see if they’ve been turned in but apparently they haven’t found anything. If they weren’t in my bag they had to be left in the room. I called as soon as I unpacked only for them to say they’ve found nothing. Very disappointing! I’d think hotel workers would have the courtesy to turn in items that guest leave behind. I guess not everyone is so honest.

Hotel is comfortable for the most part, however needs some updating and repair. Our room door was hard to close and forced us to slam it to shut it. Breakfast leaves much to be desired… even had to ask both mornings for coffee urns to be refilled and then wait 10 minutes. Attention to little details would improve this hotel.

Great hotel! We stayed here with two cats while moving from Michigan to Florida. The staff was great and there is a great restaurant next door, too. Comfy beds and clean room, but the tub was a little dirty.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds. Continental breakfast had lots to choose from. Spacious breakfast area as well. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend this place to friends and family without hesitation.

It's on the upper side of the Last Quinta brand. I usually stay in Hilton or IHG properties. Better than the one other La Quinta I stayed at in Phoenix. Works in a pinch and is more economical however I prefer the other hotel brands.

Nice hotel it's supposed to be 100% smoke-free but people smoke by the back doors. If you have any type of allergies to pets don't stay on the first floor cuz apparently that's where they put everybody who has them. When I walked in my hotel room a little after midnight it smelled like a kennel not in a bad way but you could definitely tell there had been pets in and out of the room that I was in. Just coming off the road for 6 hours I was too tired to care and I wasn't going to spend a lot of time in my room so I just stayed in there. If it's going to be a pet friendly hotel they really need to invest in better deodorizers for the rooms and also clean better after guests leave. Breakfast was okay I didn't see any meat or meat substitutes or eggs so it really should say deluxes continental breakfast but since they serve waffles I guess we give them a pass. Hotel was nice enough front desk was very helpful and the area is very nice as well. Can't complain much about my stay just wish it hadn't smelled like a dog when I walked in my room.

Nice hotel for the price. Appreciate that they allow dogs to stay — there is a large field behind the hotel with plenty of potty space for your dog as well as provided poop bags and trash can. A couple small issues with my stay, but they were resolved by the front desk staff and/or maintenance fairly quickly.

First room smelled like a gym locker. Room change offered quickly, no assistance offered moving. Staff very pleasant overall and helpful. Walls very thin footsteps, voices and activity can be heard easily, especially at 3 AM.

We stayed here due to Hurricane Irma. The rooms were large and worked great for the large volume of pets that we evacuated with, but the whole place was very run down. The carpets and sofas were stained. The floor of the halls needed stretched. Water pressure was bleak. But the staff was AMAZING. Everyone said hello and check on you regularly. The pool and hot tub were clean and ready. The hotel needs some upkeep on the management side so that the hotel matches the quality of the staff. Would recommend for an emergency but not for vacation.

I Like this place alot! My folks get to bring their dog with them when they come visit and that means a lot to us! She is family too! The rooms are nice and cleaned. Don't let "Pet Friendly" make you feel like it will be even a little yucky — The place is always a great place to stay. No funky smells or sticky carpets. The staff seems happy too!

In fairness, I normally don't frequent La Quinta as a brand. The experience at this hotel might change my mind. This was a modern, top notch looking property. The room was very spacious and impressive. The room doors were angled, probably to shield from hall traffic. We didn't have time for a swim but I looked out my window to see a lovely pool and gazebo area. The only aspect that was sub par was the breakfast offering. That is probably a corporate choice (not the fault of this hotel). I used my AARP discount and saved at least $50.00 to $65.00 versus what I would have normally paid with Marriott or Hilton. If I am up in Winston Salem again, I'd gladly return to this La Quinta.

Very clean and great value for the money. Staff is always so friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Located near lots of food and shopping.

Loved the room. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was standard. Best part was that even though the hotel is pet friendly and their was a dog show in town we were never disturbed. The room was nice and quiet.

Bringing a pet with you on a long road trip is hard enough, which is why I loved this La Quinta Inn! Their customer service was great and the room I booked was very nice. I felt clean, secure, and comfortable during my stay.

La Quinta Inn & Suites (Winston Salem) was a good hotel to stay at while I was there visiting family recently. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. The staff responded to my requests which weren't much. Because I travel often, I've become a lot more aware of my hotel room needs which are few. I would return to this place for another stay.

Stayed for a night. Great location off the highway with a few good restaurants nearby so you don't have to drive somewhere to get a good bite. Rooms were spacious, the pool was good, and the breakfast was upkept well.

I had a good experience at the La Quinta. They were very accommodating when we needed an early check in and had a room ready for us almost 3 hours before check-in. The rooms are decent. They aren't meticulously cleaned, but they aren't bad either. There were some eye makeup stains on the sheets and dirt on the bathroom floor. We brought are dog and they were very sweet to her.

Clean, bright, friendly staff, large room, good Wi-Fi. They had a few new staff members that accidentally charged my card twice. I spoke with Felicia who went the extra mile to make sure that I was refunded and satisfied with my stay. Thank you for a pleasant experience!

Went there on a Friday, they advised they only has a smoking room, the room had AC problems. When I started to pay for the room, the fee was much higher than normal. We travel to Winston Salem and usually stay at this hotel. This time the fees were about 50.00 higher. I asked why, the lady at the desk said just because they were busy was the reason for the increased rates. I told her, I will have to take a smoking room with AC issues and your still charging 50 dollars more. The lady said yes. I told her I would not stay at the hotel and would be going to another hotel. We went 2 minutes away to sleep Inn. The price was 80.00 and rooms were nice and cold and nonsmoking. I will not be staying at LA Quinta anymore.

Experience sucked, piss stains on the mattress, no morning cleaning, a rumor mill, as an older woman was afraid of our dogs because an employee said she got bitten on the third floor, breakfast was o. K. The staff was overwhelmed or just not in the mood to smile.

Very good place to go with a dog. Places to walk. Staff all were dog friendly.

This hotel Needs help! I actually had them move me to another room because the first one wasn't clean. The 2nd one wasn't much better. The heater/ac was so loud I had to turn it off and double up on blankets just so I could fall asleep (during a freezing rain/wintery mix storm outside). The cable television didn't work the one night I stayed either. I called down to ask why and the front desk told me it's because they have satellite and it doesn't work in the rain. That's not a satisfactory answer! If you all know that the signal doesn't work in the rain, how about upgrading your service provider! Also, the walls are paper thin, I heard every time my neighbors flushed the toilet and the beds are hard. It was the most uncomfortable night sleep I ever had. Check out is at 12, but I was up and out by 9 even after checking in after 12am and finally falling asleep at 4am.

This place is a dump and it is obvious the sheets were not changed between customers… stains, multiple body hairs, black smudges — disgusting.! No answer at the front desk after 10, so impossible to get anything you might need (like clean sheets). At check in we were told the room was newly renovated. But unless new curtains are. Considered a renovation, the rest of the room is extremely run down. The tub didn't properly drain so there was a strange slime and standing water in half of the tub, the floors and carpet were stained, the couch had s funky odor and when pulled out to a bed it was ridiculously uncomfortable (even for our 5 year old who can sleep anywhere) because the mattress was so flimsy all you could feel were support bars under you. Our door would only latch shut when slammed really hard. And the smoke from the smoking rooms… it was nauseating and permeated the entire floor. The interior doors and door handles, especially inside the bathroom were filthy. If it wasn't so late and if we weren't so exhausted there is no way we would have stayed here. We would have demanded a refund. We will never stay here again. I have no idea how this place gets such high reviews on various hotel booking websites.
